The number show there was a £30B deficiet every year from 2001. This paid for the 800,000 public sector jobs. They were unfunded, Balls call this money investment, down the drain I call it.
Marr puts the question and then capitulates. The deficiet in the years 2001-2008 is something Liebour do not want public aired.
The anti-government tea party movement, which has been increasingly vocal in selecting Republican candidates for office, is likely to view Mr Huntsman’s work as ambassador to China as an unacceptable capitulation to the political opposition.
Mr Huntsman is also seen as relatively moderate, which could put off conservative Republican primary voters even as it strengthens him in a potential general election against president in November 2012.
BBC Narrative: The Muslim Brotherhood is more moderate than the Tea Party movement.
the tone and conclusion of every TV documentary is decided well in advance of its making, long before a camera team captures the first footage. No commissioning editor on this earth – and certainly not the BBC – is going to commit the £300,000 or so budget to an open-ended “journey of discovery”. Before any contract is signed with the film-makers, the exact “line to take” has been spelled out and agreed. The job of the film-maker is to deliver it – no matter what it takes.
I think its well unfair to accuse Monckton and Delingpole of ‘ego’ for agreeing to be interviewed for these documentaries. They have their heads well above the parapet and deserve respect for the courage they show, not, if I may say so, cheap and easy assumptions. I think the BBC Goebbels Department is doing enough of a job to demean them without their ‘supporters’ doing the same.
That’s a bit disingenuous isn’t it. You wouldn’t have chosen that amongst the sundry possibilities to pose unless you thought it was the most likely, and for the reasons I’ve already stated, that is less than these gentlemen deserve.
White House cheerleader Kim Ghattas says that The Obamessiah is privately telling Mubarak to step down, so take no notice of the wetness of the official statements. Praise Him!
Why is Dougie Alexander on the News Channel right now giving his opinion on Egypt? Is there something about the unions involved? He’s just blathering about a “stable, orderly transition” just like every other politician. What’s the point of him here? Do we need a Labour perspective to balance out too many appearances of William Hague?
Ah, I see now. Huw Welshman is goading him into bashing the Coalition for not telling British citizens in Egypt to get the hell out like other countries are doing. Alexander finally figured it out after two hints and then a direct question, and is rising to the challenge.
Job done, BBC. A criticism of the Conservative-led Coalition at every opportunity.
Why on earth would you need to be told that it might just be a good idea to leave a country engaged in mass rioting ? Just how much of a ficko would you have to be, eh ?
Frankly HMG is improving the Great Britsh Gene Pool by NOT advising nationals on whether to get out or not.
On the 6.00pm news is how the Lords have come to an agrement about the referndum bill. Failed to mention that the coalition had fired a shot across Liebour’s bows with a guillotine bill. This would have been a very imbarrasing first as it was to stop the phillybustering that Liebour were doing to the referendum bill; the lords are not supposed to phillybuster as they are an amending chamber.
Unfortunately the agreement to allow public meetings will continue what the hypocritical party have been doing in the House of Lords, viz footdragging to desparately protect the inbuilt bias of the preesent arrangements
Seeing the Young Trots out scuffling again last weekend reminded me to have a look at scuffles past. The left love a martyr, but in this instance they may not have one. Was Alfie Meadows Injured By Protestors?
The writer asks
We know that students are saying that Alfie may have been hit by a piece of concrete thrown from behind him as he went towards the police lines. So why has this escaped mainstream media coverage?
Good question. In the Beeb’s case, its pro-student, pro-protest, left wing sympathies are holding them back.
Not wanting to destroy the myth that students are perfect, the beeb did not report what was in other papers i.e. what the students were really yelling at NUS president Aaron Porter. (it was far from being polite)
Will the BBC admit that anti-semitism still exists? Will the BBC admit that most anti-semitism in this country comes from the hard left and Islamists? Will the BBC ever admit anything that goes against their agendas? If you believe the BBC will make more than a passing mention of this anti-semitism then you must be crazy or Dezzie (or both).
Oh dear, that’s put a cat among the BBC pigeons! If they do report it, will their gayophilia or their Islamophilia win out?
Besides the Daily Mail, Fox News has reported this too. As has the Daily Telegraph. So the BBC may not have noticed it yet – except that the Huffington Posthas also just reported it (and isn’t sticking up for the imam). So they will know about it very soon!
She has an MSc in Social Media (and for this they want free tuition?), so is obligated to keep up the twatter to maintain her street cred. At least she got Helen Boaden’s memo. Her bio now has this at the end: “views demonstrably own”. Problem solved.
Did anyone else see my mate Sheena Easton on the 10PM news? He was reviewing the new http://www.police.uk website which allows us proles to see how much crime in in our local area.
According to Sheena this is NOT GOOD NEWS (I notice he totally refused to simply read out the Downing Street press release as in the good old Liebour days, funny that!) so Sheena spins it by interviewing some senior plod who of course doesn’t want us to find out how bone idle and useless the plods are and why for example I can find out why so many burglaries or robberies are committed in my area, but the plods can find enough officers to run ‘car checks every Saturday afternoon.
So then after interviewing senior plod who thinks we proles should leave it to the ‘experts’ (he means Guardian reading liberals) Sheena interviews some rather middle class mums who seem to giggle most of the time and seemed more upset it might effect house prices.
Why no black faces Sheena? Why no working class people who are pissed off with being shat on by the Police who fail to deal with real crime?
How dare we know how much crime goes on in our areas, despite of course the BBC knowing this information along with the insurance companies.
Oh I long for the days when Sheena used to deliver verbal blow jobs on BBC 1.
What changed?…. oh hang on the Government changed.
The so called local crime stats are fantasy statistics, they have no meaning whatsoever. Crime reporting is now and has been since New Labours deliberate tampering, as meaningless as CRUs temperature records .
A similar programme has just been aired on Tony Liveseys show on fivelive. The so-called expert basically thought that the idea that people might know these figures was appalling. I mean that they might avoid buying houses in areas of high crime and buy in areas of low crime instead!
What I suggest as he is obviously not in favour of choice is to move him from where he lives into one of the high crime areas and see how he likes it….
See the BBC are behind the curve on the Telegraph story about Labour ministers giving the Libyans advice about exploiting opportunities to free Meghrahi
Now Newsnight is bigging up a bunch of left wing thugs called UK Uncut. Perhaps they’d rather Vodafone shut down all its UK stores and offices and put thousands of people out of a job?
Of course none of the scum who support UK Uncut actually have a job, nor does it appear they take a shower.
Funny this scum was absent in 13 years of Liebour when the gap between the rich and poor grew and the supposed tax avoiding companies were doing exactly what they do now.
Martin, that last comment really belongs on a leftist blog, not here. I agree on your comments on UK Uncut though. Its amazing how otherwise well eduatced intelligent people cling on to bizarre leftist ideologies. My wife’s family is full of them, posting ridiculous links on their facebook pages daily. Frightening really.
Not really a bad idea to show them on TV. We can all see that they are a bunch of so called students or otherwise unemployed. Another own goal by the BBC.
Didn’t see Newsnight. But let me guess. No-one asked these upstanding citizens how much tax they thought Vodafone should pay, or how they decided what the correct tax was.
HEHE sorry i love UK uncu*t [sorry Freudian slip there!!] did they set up a protest in the studio to this =
‘Long-serving stars including Jeremy Paxman, Fiona Bruce and James Naughtie have set themselves up as freelance contractors rather than staffers.
The device enables the BBC and its presenters to lower their tax bills legally, leaving the rest of the country to shoulder a larger burden.’
No ? hardly a surprise as they are very! er shall we say picky about who they hate as they don’t mention multi millionaire Folly Toybee and her employers =
“the Guardian Media Group is one of the shrewdest corporate avoiders of tax in Britain, in 2008 it made a £300 million profit and yet managed to pay no corporation tax, the following year in 2009 it still paid no corporation tax, it uses the offshore Caymans tax haven to own assets, it uses tax efficient trusts and deploys all manner of perfectly legal tax shelter strategies to avoid paying tax.”
So I was wondering what happened to all the Wikileaks stories on the BBC. Why no reporting of the latest one showing Nu Liebour helped get the Lockerbie bomber freed. It appears that the Guardian has fallen out with St Julian of Assange, so no wonder the BBC has gone cool on him if their beloved leftie mates at the Guardian have as well.
Has anybody else spotted the claims on the radio fivelive blog about ringers calling Richard Bacon’s show? This is what is being claimed.
What a surprise they close the ‘Giving it some death’ post to comments. Sorry the links to the tweets I posted in comment #40 there showing the use of planted questions from friends of production staff during Bacon’s Help feature didn’t work, here they are again:
A Foreign Office minister sent Libya legal advice on how Abdelbaset al-Megrahi’s cancer diagnosis could be used to help his release on compassionate grounds, it emerged last night. American cables – obtained by the WikiLeaks website and passed to The Daily Telegraph – suggest that within a week of the diagnosis, Bill Rammell, a Foreign Office minister, had written to his Libyan counterpart, advising him on how this could be used as the grounds of securing al-Megrahi’s compassionate release from prison
Have you noticed how whenever a gazan militant gets a splinter in his little finger the bBC will air the story faster than an MP can put in a claim. But when the shoe is on the other foot the bBC appears to be stuck in amber when Israel is the victim. Here is what Al Beeb isn’t reporting:
Barrage of fire from Gaza hits southern Israel; rocket lands near building where wedding is taking place in Netivot; 4 treated for shock, vehicle damaged; Color Red rocket alert system fails to go off. The relative calm in the South was shattered on Monday night when Palestinians in Gaza fired a barrage of powerful Grad rockets and mortar shells at the western Negev.
One Grad-type rocket fired from Gaza smashed into the town of Ofakim and a second rocket slammed into Netivot, not far from a building where a wedding celebration was taking place.
You can be pretty sure that if the wedding party had been hit and many killed (which is of course what Hamas is trying to do) The bBC would have no problem reporting on the Israeli response. But the question which really should be asked is..Why now???
A study has suggested that the effects of last year’s floods in Pakistan could have been less catastrophic if European weather forecasts had been shared with Pakistan. The American Geophysical Union said the forecasts could have given up to 10 days’ advance warning of the floods. The study said this could have allowed the authorities in northern Pakistan to take preventative measures…The American Geophysical Union said the information did not reach Pakistan because of a “lack of cooperation between the forecasting centre and Pakistan”.Pakistan’s own weather agency also did not forecast the floods, the organisation added.
Yet the again the bBC finds a story in which to blame somebody else for the ills which befall an Islamic country. But hang on what’s this taken from the very report the bBC bases its stance from:
The study also finds that the floods themselves could have been predicted if this data which originated from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather forecasting (ECMWF) had been processed and fed into a hydrological model which takes terrain into account…Webster says that processing raw data into weather forecasts and combining them with hydrological models is only half the work. In order to have any effect, the resulting flood forecasts must be successfully disseminated at the village level and local leaders must understand that.
Then there’s the ECMWF here is their mission statement:
The principal objectives of the Centre are: the development of numerical methods for medium-range weather forecasting; the preparation, on a regular basis, of medium-range weather forecasts for distribution to the meteorological services of the Member States; scientific and technical research directed at the improvement of these forecasts; collection and storage of appropriate meteorological data.
The states which belong to The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts are as follows:Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom .
It has co-operation agreements with:
Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Morocco, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
So really its a European based outfit which look at weather forecasting for..European countries. But hey hindsight and an angle doesn’t stop the bBC from pushing yet another non-story.
Probably because the body count isn’t sexy enough for them anymore. It looks like things have calmed down slightly but also the general idea that the military appear to have taken over to a degree. There’s something of a suspicion that what they will end up with won’t be quite the same as what they intended when they started it.
Andrew,
It would be funny if the same thing happened in Egypt and the BBC circus moves on to Jordan.
Nice part of the World for a winter sun holiday in the best hotels. Lucky Beeboids !
The BBC and its fellow travellers seem on so many back feet across a slew of issues, their usual mutual defence continuity systems are breaking down left, left and further left.
Bad stitch-ups on ‘sceptics’ of extreme (A)GW advocacy, risible ‘science’ reporting, blatant guest selection and vox pop rigging, rampant ediotorial shenanigans, especially of omission… all with a rich, sickly, unpalatable topping of ‘analysis’ that now most knwo is their interpretation of events as opposed to any chance of objective reporting.
Unique.
And I have to co-fund this?
Mr. NuaghtieMarr, you and you cabal of political suck-ups need to get it together pronto if you want my vote again, as I consider the BBC’s overt social engineering propaganda to be anti-democratic, and will support anyone who recognises that this country cannot be run any more by a very small collection of very dodgy folk with their hands on a £4B promo budget.
“The BBC has convened behind closed doors and decided that superannuated boy band Blue will represent Britain at the Eurovision, with a song they have written themselves.
How did this happen?”
1 second-generation West Indian, 1 second-generation Cypriot, 1 bisexual, 3 from broken homes, (dads took off).
Multicult heaven/BBC bliss.
The BBC worthies Katie Taylor and Phil Parsons seem most responsible for this Eurovisual enrichment.
I personally don’t follow the Euro-vision song contest. But one thing that does baffle me is how the Nation which has provided the world with more successful pop groups than any other European country cannot scrape together anybody who can write a half decent song never mind sing it. Its this continual striving by the liberals in which to make everybody equal (I mean come on, the other year they had that Jordan girl lining up) which results in songs and groups been picked which wouldn’t get past the first round of these Pop shows which are all the rage. those in themselves have in my eyes helped destroy the British music scene. Maybe there lies the reason I listen to Absolute 80s and my CD collection instead of anything proporting to be music nowadays. Come back the old grey whistle test all is forgiven, the only program which comes close is Jules Hollands little shindigs.
The problem is radio one and 6 which totally dominate the music we are allowed to hear! I know of many brilliant clever singers and groups the BBC ignore and always will, because they don’t fit the r&b that they shove at us day in day out , they are totally incapable of reflecting what real! as in us the public actually buy not what 45 yr old music bods off the BBC think 14 yr old school girls will go for !!
You have just reminded me of something: the Beeboid Corporation fixed the selection – in a programme called, ironically, “Your Decision” – for a black man a couple of years ago:
Right, that is the final straw. The BBC depriving us of choosing the British entry to the Eurovision Song contest is beyond the pale. I have lost the will to live.
‘Guardian’ rallies apartheid BBC ‘Asian Network’ staff (who regard themselves as ‘Asian British’) in opposition to Director General Thompson’s fake(?) closure plans for radio station.
No more British licencepayer public subsidy of apartheid ‘Asian Network’, which has a political agenda as well as a musical one. Close it down in 2011, as promised, Mr. Thompson.
The annual profits from BBC Worldwide would cover more than twice the £46million in cuts Thompson says are being forced on him for purely ideological reasons by the evil Tories. The whole thing is a political maneuver, and Thompson is playing it very, very shrewdly.
I see that it hasn’t taken Stephanie “floundering” Flanders long to start bigging up her ex-boyfriend Ed Balls. From her BBC blog.
“By the same token, the new shadow chancellor Ed Balls could not have picked a better week to take over the job……. But he’s still the British politician who has made the most detailed intellectual case against the cuts, in his campaign for the Labour leadership last summer. ”
Fortunately I think most people will fail to recognise the Ed. Balls they know being associated with an intellectual case! Also those who have faith in Ms.Flanders judgement may wish to mull over what she thinks an intellectual case is.
Ed Balls has of course been made to reverse course by his current leader Ed.Milliband who presumably did not think much of his “intellectual case!”
Emily Maitlis has spent the last hour or so reading the news and doing interviews while holding a crumpled tissue in her left hand. For someone who is acutely aware of how she appears on camera (the worst on the News Channel), it’s surprising she doesn’t realize how unappealing that is.
I was listening to R4 LW this afternoon, on one of the shows was a debate regarding social media / networks such as Facebook / Twitter.
The debate had been informative and evenly balanced until for reasons known only to themselves the BBC allowed a spokesperson from UK Uncut to take over the airwaves and spout a list of untrue allegations against the coalition government, the host of the debate also mentioned that this activist group were not political!!, well this is untrue here is the same spokeswoman commenting on the UK coalition:
We start with some simple points of agreement. The brutal cuts to services about to be inflicted by the current Government are unnecessary, unfair and ideologically motivated. The coalition are particularly fond of two obscene catchphrases: ‘There is no alternative’ and ‘We’re all in this together.’
A cabinet of millionaires have decided that libraries, healthcare, education funding, voluntary services, sports, the environment, the disabled, the poor and the elderly must pay the price for the recklessness of the rich.
Austerity-economics is the policy of the powerful. It cannot be stopped by asking nicely. We cannot wait until the next election. If we want to win the fight against these cuts (and we can win) then we must make it impossible to ignore our arguments and impossible to resist our demands. This means building a powerful grassroots mass movement, able to resist the Government cuts at every turn’.
Hardly the comments of an appolitical group.
In finishing I found it amusing that an American expert on the show pointed out that UK Uncut has only 9,000 followers and can expect only 60 people on average to turn up for its illegal (my opinion) demonstrations, the spokeswoman was stunned into silence and had to be rescued by the host !!.
Final point: Why was this group out of all the UK based Facebook / Titter groups (with much larger memberships) invited onto the show?
Final point: Why was this group out of all the UK based Facebook / Titter groups (with much larger memberships) invited onto the show?
Possibly the same reason 90% of all guest commentary is from a section of media that may stagger to actually achieve 10% of the media readership in the UK?
That, plus assuming the only news worth spinning is what you read on twitter while most of the population is actually working and generating income.
If the BBC was a club, it would get busted by the Equal Opportunities Commission (or whatever it is now) for its grotesquely exclusive practices.
I have always presumed the Beeb love Twitter because essentially it is like broadcasting. Your Z list Beeb celeb sends out a message to his/her followers and unless they want to they don’t have to see the responses from the little people.
The establishment generally seems to be pushing Facebook I suspect because it is controlled. Facebook have (or think they have) your real details. Discussions or entire groups can be deleted if the company don’t like them and they also appear to obey instructions from the powers that be. Sites like this one appearing out of no where , possibly hosted abroad where people speak freely about issues that aren’t mainstream are the stuff of nightmares for political elites.
Has anyone else noticed Mumsnet appear to be another Beeb favourite especially on Radio 4. But what I find interesting is that while the woman who runs the company appears there is rarely any mention of what the people who use Mumsnet are saying. Instead the owner does the talking.
The president’s landmark legislation, passed last March, would provide coverage to more than 30 million uninsured people.
The law would also expand a Medicaid programme for the poor and provide tax credits to make premiums more affordable for the middle class.
The Republicans have attacked the reform as costly and job-killing.
As even this piece of propaganda admits, Medicaid already exists, and provides FREE health care to anyone without insurance. In fact, ObamaCare doesn’t provide anything to anyone. It includes a law requiring people to purchase a health care plan. This isn’t “providing”, it’s forcing citizens to buy a product from sanctioned providers.
The BBC is lying. There are no two ways about this. But that’s the White House talking point, so they’re sticking to it.
If not already aware of their site, they seem to have their number, and in some detail, considering the BBc’s now noted regular propensity for deciding how ‘news’ gets shaped in advance…
‘Your unbalanced cackhanded attempts to manipulate public opinion sometimes border on the insulting.’
So in the last three weeks shameless Alistair Campbell has been on Radio 5Live talking to Richard Bacon and on Radio 2’s Steve Wright in the Afternoon. He’s been on BBC2’s Newsnight and on Radio 4’s Loose Ends and Open Book. Last night he was on BBC1’s The One Show. He’s also been on Question Time. He’s been on the News Channel too.
Where will this unscrupulous piece of **** turn up next? On Radio 4’sSomething Understoodwith Mark Tully next Sunday it seems. He’s also been inviting to write a piece for the Radio Times. How long before he becomes a regular BBC presenter, or is allowed to make a documentary for them?
Did anyone notice the BBC sandwich on the 6 o’clock news? 2,500 people are to be laid off at Pfizer for which (implied) the Coalition is to blame (as they need more jobs in the private sector to help the economy).
Several minutes spent on the redundancies. Then briefly (and I think the volume had been turned down to impart this news) the manufacturing figures were good news. Before volume turned up again to explain for another couple of minutes that this was bad news for the Coalition.
Channel 4 News then produced the same sandwich – taking lessons from the BBC?
Deborah, well spotted! I’m not sure you were meant to spot it though as, just checking back, that bit about the soaring UK manufacturing figures took up exactly 9 seconds of the BBC’s news bulletin!! And was immediately followed by a ‘But…’ returning (as you say) to the Pfizer redundancies. Blink and you’d have missed it.
I don’t think the BBC are keen to publicize this good news. The story isn’t on their website’s Home page, and is tucked away way down the pecking order on the Business page. Stephanie Flanders isn’t blogging about it, nor is Paul Mason, and nor is Robert Peston (who’s still harping on about phone-hacking).
Some guy called Phil Williams in place of Victoria Derbyshire this morning.
He’s got Len McCluskey from one of the BA unions on. Some guy from an independent cabin crew association called in and asked him ‘What has all your strike action achieved other than lose the company 122 million pounds and seriously inconvenienced the public?’
Williams cuts in ‘Before he answers that question, are you against the strike?’ Lo and behold, that completely unncessary question diverts attention so Mr McKlusky doesn’t have to answer the question.
The scene-setting ‘report’ now needs to be assessed as from the same mindset that brought us Rupert Murray’s unique, selective, edit-suite enhanced (A)GW tale-telling and personal ‘reporter’ ‘interpretation’.
We are also treated to Mr. Paxman, apparently this time very worried about the cost to the taxpayer of policing demos from some groups, while he and his colleagues seem more than happy to tweet away en route to mixing it up with others at demos they like – who one suspects cost a lot more.
The BBC’s double standards are breath-taking.
And Mr. Paxman’s only, pathetic, response… over and over again, interrupting and opposing rather than any attempt at interviewing: don’t express a view on islamic extremism because there are aspects of white society that are as bad.
The EDL spokesperson had the old fart for breakfast.
Doesn’t make me want to join up, but he had a right to be heard, was, and made the BBC’s uni-directional stance on ‘tolerance’ look ridiculous.
really had to laugh out loud at the bBC “news” channel paper review last night
some bint from the evening standard was on and this is the paper review,in order, interspersed with breathless reminders that jug ears O’Barmy was going to make a speech on Egypt accompanied by pictures of a podium

Although the website report does reference it, the key line in the TV coverage was to suggest that the Chancellor in a very difficult position politically to countenance a Plan B because the opposition are suggesting he should have one.
What they have done is link the idea of a need for possible alternatives with the idea of quoted Plan B from Labour. The association is that Labour are going along the lines of independent thinkers the IFS.
Labour’s plan B however is to reconsider the spending reductions in order to stimulate growth. The report suggests that that any monetary loosening is dangerous and may affect inward investment and therefore benefits to the economy. BBC economics 2+2=7
Anyone hear Naughtie’s round up of correspondent opinion re the Middle East and Egypt this morning? Beeboids from Yemen, Jordan and Jerusalem giving their verdict.
Not a single word about the Islamist threat, that the opposition in Egypt is named not, say, the Democrats but the Muslim Brotherhood, or what the alternative to the current regimes would actually want or be able to do. The breathless coverage of the whole affair positions this to be Eastern Europe 1989, rather than a throw of the dice by desperate, repressed people that could very, very easily end with radical Islamists or the army in charge, or simmering civil war.

Marr puts the question and then capitulates. The deficiet in the years 2001-2008 is something Liebour do not want public aired.

When does a Beeboid use both “conservative” and “moderate” in the same sentence to describe an organization?
When it’s Jeremy Bowen describing the Muslim Brotherhood, of course.
Unlike the jihadis, it does not believe it is at war with the West. It is conservative, moderate and non-violent.
He left out the part about the Zionist Entity being their sworn enemy, but then he and the BBC consider that to be a moderate position.

Busted: When does a Beeboid make a distinction between “conservative” and “moderate”?
When they’re comparing someone to the Tea Party movement, of course.

I wrote on the Meet the Propagandists thread that he is a litigator!
Why did he and Delingpole allow the bBC to do this? Ego? Perhaps they’ve learned the lesson now.
Richard North tells us
the tone and conclusion of every TV documentary is decided well in advance of its making, long before a camera team captures the first footage.

I didn’t “accuse”. I asked a question.

That’s a bit disingenuous isn’t it. You wouldn’t have chosen that amongst the sundry possibilities to pose unless you thought it was the most likely, and for the reasons I’ve already stated, that is less than these gentlemen deserve.

Now that Aaron Porter has confirmed that he was the subject of anti-Semitic abuse, will the BBC finally report this aspect of the story?

Will the BBC admit that anti-semitism still exists? Will the BBC admit that most anti-semitism in this country comes from the hard left and Islamists? Will the BBC ever admit anything that goes against their agendas? If you believe the BBC will make more than a passing mention of this anti-semitism then you must be crazy or Dezzie (or both).

I wonder why the bBC hasn’t bother airing this story about how the government helped free a jailed terrorist:
UK ‘advised Libya how to free Lockerbie bomber’
A Foreign Office minister sent Libya legal advice on how Abdelbaset al-Megrahi’s cancer diagnosis could be used to help his release on compassionate grounds, it emerged last night. American cables – obtained by the WikiLeaks website and passed to The Daily Telegraph – suggest that within a week of the diagnosis, Bill Rammell, a Foreign Office minister, had written to his Libyan counterpart, advising him on how this could be used as the grounds of securing al-Megrahi’s compassionate release from prison

This is a scandal which must be investigated by the intrepid BBC.

Palestinians shell western Negev with Grads, mortar attacks
By YAAKOV LAPPIN
02/01/2011

Probably hanging on for events in Egypt so they can have a proper war against the Israeli’s to report on – and obviously blame them for it.

The bBC,how Europe (yes Europe) is to blame for the Pakistani floods and half the story.
Pakistan flood warning ‘not passed on’
A study has suggested that the effects of last year’s floods in Pakistan could have been less catastrophic if European weather forecasts had been shared with Pakistan.
The principal objectives of the Centre are:
the development of numerical methods for medium-range weather forecasting;
the preparation, on a regular basis, of medium-range weather forecasts for distribution to the meteorological services of the Member States;
scientific and technical research directed at the improvement of these forecasts;
collection and storage of appropriate meteorological data.

Why does the BBC seem to have stopped reporting from Tunisia ?

Probably because the body count isn’t sexy enough for them anymore. It looks like things have calmed down slightly but also the general idea that the military appear to have taken over to a degree. There’s something of a suspicion that what they will end up with won’t be quite the same as what they intended when they started it.
A bit like weather forecasts from the met office.

Unique.

OMFG the BBC is STILL pushing the lie that ObamaCare provides health care to millions of uninsured people.
Florida Judge strikes down Obama’s healthcare law

He’s been on BBC2’s Newsnight and on Radio 4’s Loose Ends and Open Book. Last night he was on BBC1’s The One Show. He’s also been on Question Time. He’s been on the News Channel too.
Where will this unscrupulous piece of **** turn up next? On Radio 4’s Something Understood with Mark Tully next Sunday it seems. He’s also been inviting to write a piece for the Radio Times. How long before he becomes a regular BBC presenter, or is allowed to make a documentary for them?
After all the harm he’s done.

Ha, ha, Top Gear in trouble for insulting Mexicans
The Mexican ambassador in London has made a formal complaint to the BBC, after Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond described Mexicans as “lazy, feckless, flatulent and overweight” – and James May added that they eat “refried sick”. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/bbc/8296779/Mexican-ambassador-complains-to-BBC-over-Top-Gear-jibes.html
How will PC BBC deal with this one?

Did anyone notice the BBC sandwich on the 6 o’clock news? 2,500 people are to be laid off at Pfizer for which (implied) the Coalition is to blame (as they need more jobs in the private sector to help the economy).
Several minutes spent on the redundancies. Then briefly (and I think the volume had been turned down to impart this news) the manufacturing figures were good news. Before volume turned up again to explain for another couple of minutes that this was bad news for the Coalition.
Channel 4 News then produced the same sandwich – taking lessons from the BBC?

sorry missed out that the volume turned up at the end of the piece to return to the redundancies at Pfizer and that this was bad for the Coalition.

Would anyone bug Robert Pestons phone? Listening to him for more than a minute makes my teeth itch.

OT-ish, but this seems to sum up the BBC and fellow traveller’s direction and consequent results rather well…

Typical BBC bias tricks.

Just watched the Newsnight ‘report’ and ‘interview’ on EDL on iPlayer, having read of Aunty’s discomfort with viewers’ reactions to it on their blog.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006mk25

BBC doing a nice little piece of misdirection again on news 24 with regard to the IFS statement:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-12343203
