RECONCILIATION BETWEEN HOLOCAUST DENIERS AND GENOCIDAL JIHADISTS

Anyone catch William Hague on the politics show? It was interesting to see him dodge BBC questions on whether the Fatah/Hamas “reconciliation” was a step forward. It’s sad to see Hague spew forth the banalities of the Israel-hating F.O. but not unexpected. Whilst the blogosphere was alive with Netanyahu’s very public dressing down of Obama’s “1967” nonsense, the BBC remains married to it.

Haven’t seen the interview but BBC reports

Hague says Europe ‘must be tough’ on N Africa migrants
Was he asked the huge question? How will the UK vote in the Security Council for Palestinian Independence? For/abstain/veto? Assuming America vetoes in the UNSC – not certain giving Obama’s recent speech – how will the UK vote in the UNGA. It’s true thye vote is essentially a foregone conclusion but the UK position would be very influential.

Doesnt the problem here lie with the government rather than the BBC? Because Jon Sopel asked William Hague about how going back to the 1967 borders would leave Israel with a 10 mile strip of land between the new Palestine and the Mediterranean Sea, which would be “indefensible”. Jon Sopel also asked him how Israel could be expected to negotiate with the Palestinians when Hamas doesnt even recognise the right of Israel to exist. Jon Sopel didnt say anything about the Fatah and Hamas union being “a step forward.”

As I have posted before, sadly, “Wee Willie”  has lived up to his name.

One has to wonder if William Hague agreed with Obama’s Thursday speech or with the clarifications he made at AIPAC today? One would have hoped that US policy would have been established after serious, informed debate and every word weighed before being released to the world.

True of UK policy as well.
