THE JOYS OF IMMIGRATION

Sir Andrew Green continues to do a fine job over at Migration Watch and he was on the BBC this morning discussing the latest report which suggests that the number of “migrants” working in the UK who were born in Eastern Europe rose by 600,000 since the so-called A8 countries joined the EU in May 2004 while youth unemployment rose by almost 450,000 in the same period. Danny Sriskandarajah, director of the Royal Commonwealth Society, was up against him and given the first and last word in the interview. I thought Sir Andrew was very calm and meaured whereas Sriskandarajah was verging on the hysterical. He dismissed the idea of a causal link between these figures, derided the analysis carried out by Sir Andrew, and then said it was up to UK employers to provide the “right” kind of employment for British youth.

I especially liked the programe coda, in whcih Humphreys quoting the Guardian (naturally), said that the country was now running out of curry chefs. The article in question blames… immigration controls.

And who can disagree? What sane government would impose controls that could results in a dearth of curry cooks??! Open the doors to unlimited Pakistani immigration NOW!!!!! (Oh, they are open….sorry….)

This is the exact same story that old Jeremy Vine told us of , on this very day in 2008.
Don`t know about you-but I for one have really struggled to get a curry since then…Wilmslow Roads Curry Mile here in Manchester has long beeen reduced to shovelling tripe and Vesta Chow Meins down the throat of anyone who got lost trying  to lay their hands on a Pot Noodle.
The other end of the road has the BBC studios-they tend to lay the shit on rather thickly after serving 24/7 tripe!

I didn’t hear this item but, I’m prepared to believe that “Sir Andrew was very calm and meaured” compared with Danny Sriskandarajah’s hysteria.  Unfortunately being “calm and measured” doesn’t cut it.  I’m not saying Sir Andrew should descend to the hysteria and lack of control of his opponents but I would like to hear a bit of anger and indignation coming through.

Sir Andrew has a vast store of statistics at his disposal but uses them to very little effect on programmes like Today.  Sir Andrew is not after all addressing a lecture theatre full of receptive academics on Today.  His participation in such discussions are opportunities to convey rarely heard (on the BBC) truths to what is an intelligent and largely (I would guess) middle class audience and one (I further guess) which tends to vote and make its views known to our rulers.  By being circumspect and admirably reasonable through playing by the rules of a 1950s game, Sir Andrew (I respectfully claim) misses every opportunity to make a significant impact on the Today audience.

Absoltely right. For another wonderful example of similar Guardianista idiotthink, check our Peter Preston extolling the wonderful benefits of “multiculturalism” as experienced in South London.

What is heartening is the comments: I would say 100:1 poimnt out that Peter Preston’s observations are shallow, racist and predictable due to his privie;leged upbringing and wealth.

It is good to see Guardinaista/BBC-think being ridiculed – in the stinking Guardian.

Preston’s description of the South London reads like one giant Food Court. However watch the for sale signs go up as white couples with young children embarking on school age discover that, whilst it may be very handy for goat curry, your child being the only white face in the classroom apart from the teacher doesn’t look as “multicultural” and right on as they had in mind. Words are cheap. Actions tell you a lot more.

Hence the BBC will ‘report’ it as ‘In the print media (or the only one we read), opinions are quite split on the issue’.

        Semantically accurate possibly. Honest… no.

Maybe if forced, and hiring the tweeting BBC media producer moppet, they could concede the public view is ‘leaning’ towards not so sure?

Slightly to the side of the topic – BBC Radio Devon this morning reported on the problem Plymouth City Centre shops have with foreign students shoplifting in the summer months.  The presenter quoted a Police spokesman playing down the problem, this was repeated for emphasis. A local language school owner denied there was any problem. They then found a ‘local’ shopkeeper (strong East European accent) who had had no problems. Today’s local paper on the other hand states that the   shops have reported ‘an increase in shop lifting and anti social behaviour from foreign students incurring large financial loss’.  An action plan calls for foreign students to carry special cards, limited numbers allowed into store at any one time and  warning posters in all language schools. The Police have been working with the shops ‘on issues relating to foreign students’

Who do you believe? – answers on a post card as they say.

I loved this recent Pew poll

64% of Italians think immigration is a “very big problem”. 42% of Pakistanis don’t like people entering that peaceful country. 40% of Britons regard immigration as a “very big problem”. Can I deduce that Brits less racist than Pakistanis?

By the way, note that 4% of Chinese think immigration is “a very big problem”. You mean, people actually IMMIGRATE to that hell hole?

I was particularly annoyed by Danny’s closing comment that British youngsters weren’t prepared to do the ‘dirty, dangerous and difficult’ jobs that the immigrants were being imported to carry out.  This tripe is regularly trotted out yet a few years ago, all of these jobs were being tackled by British people. Aren’t our dustbin men still British (dirty job?), are our soldiers still British (dangerous job?), arent a whole variety of difficult jobs being done by British workers?  Why is this lie allowed without being challanged?

Top prize for irony went to the BBC robot interviewer who supported the right of employersto employ whoever they wanted (though presumably only if those employees were immigrants)

      Spot on

For instance, we weren’t informed on Today this morning that the “High Pay Commission” is a left-wing pressure group created by Compass (another left-wing pressure group) and financed by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (a left-wing outfit).  By not clarifying the exact status of and background to the HPC, Humphrys connived in the (deliberate?) deception that the HPC is some kind of official body: that was certainly the impression the audience was left with.

Ref the bit about importing Curry chefs?
What people on the left fail to ask when they come out with the above is that, the vast majority of chefs in the UK are taught to cook.

The vast majority of so called indian chefs are picked not becasue they can cook, but because they are willing to be paid very little money with the benefit of living in the uk..ususally on benefits.

This can be substaniated by one simple fact, the likes of the bBC have no problem pushing out the fact that unemployment is very high amonsgt the ‘Asian’ community which we all know to mean Pakistani and Bangerdeshi.

So the question we should be asking is why don’t they pick their so called chefs (Islamic men don’t cook at home, its a womans job so  why are we picking men from Islamic countries..note i said men, How many women do you see getting imported to cook inside indian take-aways?… exactly) from unemployed asians in the Uk and reduce the unemplyment figures rather than continue to import people who as soon as you can say “Sign here” are cashing in on benefets most whites cannot get.

      From the Independent, Oct. 2011:

“Muhammad Salim Uddin stands over a piping hot gas stove and throws a handful of sliced chicken breast into a pan…

Mr Uddin is comparatively fortunate. His boss pays him a decent wage and holiday entitlement is written into his contract. But a considerable number of the estimated 100,000 Bangladeshi Britons working in the curry trade often find themselves exploited by unscrupulous owners who happily take advantage of their ignorance of the minimums to which they are entitled.

In between dishes Mr Uddin describes the working conditions that many of his fellow cooks labour under. “I had a friend who worked for six years straight and never took a holiday,” he says. “He was always working, never had time off. He didn’t realise he was entitled to it. He knew nothing about sick leave. He just came into work.”

      100,000. Ye Gods!

But seriously, folks. This isn’t about skilled curry chefs at all. On the street/community level, its about exploitation and scams.

The through-put of staff is enormous.

Come in as a ‘cook’, do your porridge for a few years and then move on.

Your place will be filled within a week…with a new ‘curry chef’

Only Sylheti speakers…..communication in the kitchen and all that.

Sure there are some up-market establishments, with the sort of up market prices that a Beeboid is quite happy accept…to pay for the ambiance…with other Beeboids.

On the subject of curry chefs; I coach youth cricket in the SW. During the last summer I had 5 Asian lads in their 20’s approach me to ask if they could take part. I said sure. They all turned out to be Bangladeshis working in a local curry house. They regularly turned up for a few weeks depending on their shift pattern. Then there were none. Asked around about what happened; all illegals here on “student” visas. All were deported.
