Biased BBC contributor Alan notes;

“The BBC is clearly a very busy organisation struggling under the burden of having to make savings on its budget. Perhaps this is why it misses so much of the world’s news.

In Norway last week the head of intelligence tells us that:

 Reuters , Tuesday 17 Jan 2012
‘Radical Islam remains the most serious threat faced by Norway despite the attacks by an islamophobe terrorist who killed 77 people last summer, the chief of the security police said on Tuesday.’ “The number of violent right-wing extremists is still low,” she said.

Wonder why the BBC doesn’t want that known?

Or in Germany what are their security services up to?

‘More than one-third of the far-left Left Party’s parliamentarians are under observation by Germany’s domestic intelligence agency, SPIEGEL has learned. Germany’s opposition far-left Left Party is under more intense surveillance from domestic intelligence than previously thought. Information from the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) reveals that 27 Left Party parliamentarians are being observed — more than one-third of the party’s 76-strong parliamentary group.’

The Left a threat to democracy? Not enough to make the BBC report it.

How about in the US where the sainted Obama has this to say about abortion:

‘President Barack Obama says the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade is the chance to recognize the “fundamental constitutional right” to abortion and to “continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.” ‘

Charming that abortion is merely a lifestyle choice for Obama like choosing a new car or a good university.

The BBC tells us nothing about anti-semitism in Sweden or Holland or indeed Britain…because it is driven by Islamists and the Left.

But anti-Semitism in Germany? That’s bad sort of anti-Semitism….as it’s done by skin headed fascists not lovable Muslims: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-16678772 They mention ‘extreme islamists’ once but the main thrust is it’s all the fault of the Nazis…..’It is necessary for politicians and the education system in Germany to deal with the National Socialist past’

Just astonishing that there is no mention of Maggie Thatcher in the story…surely they missed a chance there…must be able to tie her and the nasty Tory Party into that story somehow?

Or how about British Policemen…..No mention of this story either on any BBC outlet that I can find…..Those BBC cuts must be really beginning to bite.

  2. Martin says:

On a related matter the BBC have finally woken up to the fact that so called ‘radical Muslims’ have taken over control of Egypt. Of course we know that all Muslims are radical, the very fact they follow Islam makes them radical.

So now the inbred men with beards are demanding full Sharia law (there’s a shock BBC not) and that alcohol etc be banned. So the poor BBC tell us that thousands of tourists are shunning Egypt, well there’s another shock, not.

Personally I’ve never understood why anyone considers visiting a Muslim country for a holiday, especially western women, why would you visit a country that considers you inferior because of your gender?

I wouldn’t piss on Egypt if it were on fire, nor any other Muslim country for that matter.

    • John Anderson says:

I go to Egypt in 5 weeks’ time.

To see pre-Islamic monuments – Pyramids,  Valley of the Kings,  Abu Simbel etc.

Tourism there is already down 90%.

If I don’t go now – there may be no other chance ?

While in Cairo – I plan to go to the Coptic quarter.   Quickly !

      • Span Ows says:

Can I have a bet with you John? I would like to bet that you are let down by the pyramids; the first and biggest let-down will be that they are a couple of yards form a Cairo suburb instead of “in the desert” that ALL postcards, documentaries, films, etc etc make you believe. The next let-down will be the rubbish everywhere followed by various other disappointments: don’t get me wrong, they are impressive in their own right…but not as much as you thought before.

Come back and tell us what you think.

        • John Anderson says:

Thanks – I am already braced for that disappointment.  My main visit is to Luxor and around.  I then aim to go on the overnight train to Giza to do the pyramids,  the Museum and the Coptic Christian quarter in one day and then get the hell out of Cairo !  I don’t want to spend even a single night there.

I still have a bad taste from visiting Fez in Morocco a few years ago – sure it is an interesting old rabbit-warren of a walled city,  with a very old university and mosques.  But the people,  the sullen alienated young wasters everywhere !  And the cacophony from all the muezzin loudspeakers each morning at 5am !

Much of the Muslim world depends heavily on tourism – and the Arab Spring has damaged tourism badly.   90% down in Egypt this year,  I gather.

        • deegee says:

You might like to try a trick I learnt in Morocco. Take a local guide. They might not know much but his presence swerves to keep the other would-be guides away and you out of real trouble. Given the lack of tourism he should be cheap.

yes as you gaze at the pyramids, erm just don t turn or pan around, wink wink, ah the old national moneymaker, along with begging, or churning out mint tea in filthy cups.
oh and if you travel wider
“going from cairo to alexandria,(train station), if you want, a romantic novel..a book on indepth archeology, (you d be hard pressed 🙂 , ) however if you want, Hitlers Mein Kampf,(Quran obviously), the elders of Zion, well you re sure in the right place” 🙂 .”

….if that doesn t tell you everthing, about the danger of that enviroment, its mindset add to that fraudulent elections, the M.B … charming, went in 96, couldn t wait to get out, never again

        • John Anderson says:

Alexandria is NOT on my visit-list,  thanks !   I’ll stick to memories of Durrell’s Alexandria Quartet.

          • noggin says:

hey man have a good visit … and stay safe

            • John Anderson says:

I go down to Dahab for RandR after Luxor and Cairo – then ferry through to Petra and back from Amman.

The slightly encouraging thing re. safety is that a senior MB leader recently visited Luxor – trying to encourage the tourist trade !

              Shutting the stable door …….?

INBBC tries to catch up with political reality in Egypt, and ditches its ‘Arab Spring’?
                INBBC’s Mr Danahar:
“And as in the new parliament the loudest voice, the biggest platform, the greatest support in the square today belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood.
“At the moment Tahrir Square feels more like a victory party for them than a celebration for all the people. The Facebook generation are simply lost in the crowd. Political Islam has taken centre stage both in Tahrir and in the Arab world. It now believes it can now reshape the region in its image.”

  3. George R says:

Yes, the Islam supremacists of many large European cities and towns are intimidating local indigenous people. And this  is happening even when Muslim populations  are relatively small in percentage terms in some European cities; but  cases of crimes against non-Muslims are increasing in percentage terms, rapidly; and it can be expected that the situation will get much worse for non-Muslims, given trends in  birth-rates, and in high immigration rates.

    Yolanda is in Cairo again.

A somewhat crestfallen Yolanda at that.

Tahrir Square hasn’t quite turned out as expected for a Beeboid.

Anyway, no party mood on the square. The Freedom and Justice Brothers have the loudest speakers and the army is clearly working with them….as was inevitably going to happen from the start of the succession planning exercise to replace Mubarak.

Yolanda complains about how ‘effective’ the military seem to have been at sidelining the kind of protestor that Yolanda and her chums feel happy with.

Democracy has its downers. Especially for those who believe that democracy in a Muslim country automatically produces a society that espouses BBC core values.

She must have been put in touch with one of the ‘bloggers’ who has been banged up by the military and just realeased to mark the anniversary.

He is a Christian. Mikael Nabil Sanad. He’s blogging critically again.

Mikael is a brave young man.

I wonder if Yolanda knows that he is running a big risk.

Not because he is a Christian.

Not because he is a “democrat” in the mould of Walid Ghonim.

But because he is a fervent supporter of Israel.

She could have mentioned that. Or didn’t she know?

    “Egyptian refusenik: I’m pro-Israel

Maikel Nabil Sanad claims he’s first conscientious objector in Egypt, blames Palestinians for conflict, says doesn’t want to shoot Israeli defending his state”
