Question Time LiveChat 3rd May 2012

Tonight Question Time comes from Question Time from London for the second week in a row – presumably because the BBC chickened out of the promised Mayoral Special last week.

On the panel: Secretary of State for Work and Pensions Iain Duncan Smith MP,
Labour’s deputy leader Harriet Hatemen MP, former leader of the Liberal
Democrats Sir Walter “Ming” Campbell MP, leader of the PCS union and semi-detached nutter Mark Serwotka and the businessman and panelist on Dragons’ Den Theo Paphitis

Your Moderators line-up consists of David Vance, David Mosque, TheEye and John Ward.

At 11:35pm (UK time) the BBC’s election coverage will begin so we will probably keep the chat window open for a while longer to watch the early biased punditry.

Harpie will be seated right next to Dimbleby so she can tug at his arm and whisper her orders should IDS start making a valid point and Dimbleby be a bit slow to interrupt.

Iain Duncan Smith MP: moderate Conservative
Labour’s deputy leader Harriet Harman MP: raving lefty loony
Ming Campbell MP: raving liberal (left) loony
Mark Serwotka: stark raving lefty loony
Theo Paphitis: should be OK but has long ‘appearing on BBC’ history.

Paphitis is a Warmist, and I don’t expect him to side with IDS against Comrade Serwotka.

Theo Paphitis is an ex Chairman of Millwall Football Club which reminds me of this great Gillingham terrace chant (to the tune of Que Sera Sera by Doris Day).

    When I was younger,
I asked my mother what will I be,
will I be Millwall, will I be Gills,
and here’s what she said to me.

    Wash your mouth out son,
    go get your Dad’s shotgun,
we’ll go shoot the Millwall scum,
    Que Sera Sera.

If the above and last few QT panels are anything to go by I’d rather wade through a yard of my shit!

Harperson’s always worth the entrance fee just to hear the empty headed old crone babble on the usual lefty bull, clapped as usual by the usual partisan audience.
Good to have a lock-in afterwards. Laters!

If there is a better candidate to profile in terms of the decline of Labour , then I`d like to know who its is.
As she will have been drilled to say “the political is personal” after all dear!
Longfords niece, private gels school, pregnant in Peckham so wins the lection back then in 83.
Paedo Information Exchange support from her NCCL job at the time, the thickest feminist from a vintage crop of `em; and up the Labour Party she goes.
So thick, she is surprised at how unpopular she is for attacking single mums payments in 97(or whichever victim group she was only giving 50p to)…and she drags the great Frank Field down with her bovine stupidity.
Sacked by Brown, then becomes…Solicitor General..what else?
Damilola Taylor bleeds to death near one of her houses, but she renames the library after him, so that`ll atone for that.
Put her union booby of a husband onto an all woman shortlist, so he can scoop out the Midlands for the pension pot. Same bloke who knew nothing about Blair selling peerages and what have you.
And she can do all this, now she is Deputy Leader of the Labour Party…and voted in by a few crones and creeps like herself…well she is a sista after all!
Her sister Sarah does quite well out of it all too!
Let Harriet stand as the barium meal of British politics…where she goes, either its broken or it`s cancerous!
Thankfully, she`s so thick and humourless; she is no real threat unless people actually leaver her “legacy” as she leaves it…sadly, they do!
No…don`t rate Harriet Harman on reflection….

As it’s Election day, it might even be discussed on this evening’s QWAT, but before they start may I share a prĂ©cis of my daughter’s telephone call to me 10minutes ago ?

Daddy, I know you rant and rave about things but after a fellow Doctor gave me a lift from the NHS Renal Unit to the Polling Station we couldn’t park the car.
    “Really darling?”
It was full of BMW’s and Mercedes Benz dropping off at least four Pakistani women from each car and I couldn’t see the end of the que.
Well sweetheart, perhaps you should listen to your father more often.
    What do you mean ?
Well it’s you that watches the BBC not me isn’t it ?
    Oh ! Oh ? Oh ?

    That’s children for you !

Predictable fayre from Newsnight. Gavin Essler and La Stratton ask can Ken beat Boris? can Labour win Birmingham? will Labour win in Wales? etc, etc…

Perhaps the BBC have it right. Perhaps only Labour supporters are now watching them.

Amazing too, how many “ordinary voters” spoke out for Ken and for Labour.
I imagine they`ll be from the same stage school that gave us Kens video production…and let`s hope he paid Equity rates at that time.
Worth a check surely Mr Gilligan!

    QT 3rd May 2012
It was enjoyable as the fragrance of a fish wife from Arbroath.
There was something hook-line and total stinker about it – nothing new there then !
The cod heads on the panel were outdone by the Welsh anchovy when it came to “throw it back”.
Yet that said, maybe he should have been tossed into the audience of all the clapping seals from the left side of the left coast brandishing a BBC fishing licence.
As for Moby (DD) Dick, well we’re just going to have to him harpooned again aren’t we ?
Speaking of endangered species, wasn’t Harriet “Jaws” Harman resplendant in her beige sou’wester ?
Or was it just a wig ?

    Caught little glimpses of it…
To see Harman back Livingstone was worth the viewing….if you want to see what politics entails re renouncing all you ever said last week (and not being able to account for the two faces used)…just have a look at what Brown and Blair left in the cat litter tray before they bailed out with our money for their pensions.
To head Sewotka was a joy too on the same issue-Fred Kite entangled with Bob Crow and every day is Year Zero to him. If that man has ever pushed a paper clip in his life without seeing Comrade Chavez on the end of it, I`ll be surprised.
Sewotka-Harman…with a BBC lifer between them and some Banquo skull from the Lib Dems too…take a picture if it…for THAT is the only one you need to see how reduced politics has now become.
We`re post-political now…and a serious “right wing” group could clean up the dead men in a few years if they could only read and re-create from history….which is why we`ll be stuck with private school types for a while longer.
