Protest demands BBC lift reporting blackout on Palestinian hunger strikers

Monday 18th February 2013 was a day to demonstrate against the BBC’s blackout of news coverage of the plight of Palestinian hunger strikers.

 

 

All very worthy….However a quick look at BBC coverage shows that the BBC have been far from lax in their desire to report the hunger strikes from the beginning…….so not really biased in favour of the Israelis…who’dathunk?:

    Wow what a nasty place for Muslims is the Uk with such a high percentage of Anti-Muslim hate over 2012. But hang on what this taken from the NGO ‘Tell Mamma’

    The BBC gets complaints from both sides on this issue. But the majority of complaints about pro-Israel bias seem to be along the lines of demands for the BBC to condemn Israel outright, that Israel’s very existence is somehow illegitimate (the BBC is partially successful there), to treat all Palestinians as innocent civilian victims of aggression (the BBC is mostly successful there), and portray it as the sole villain (ditto).

    It’s all just Kabuki Theater. Leftist nutcases make ridiculous accusations of bias so the BBC can claim to be criticised by ‘both sides’. That’s all it is.

    Meanwhile, where is the left’s ‘Balen Report’?

      The complaints aren’t made with the BBC’s integrity facade in mind, but without actually knowing what they are, it’s impossible to judge their validity. The BBC seems to claim success based on the quantity and not quality. It’s presumably protected from FOI requests, so I don’t see a solution.

    So when is somebody from the bBC going to air a story about how Islam breeds intolerance towards women and non Muslims.

Police said they were investigating reports surrounding the welfare of a small group of teenage girls at Jamea Al Kauthar in Lancaster.     Searches are being conducted at the school by female officers.

    I do love how the bBC continually promotes this view that all Muslims are wonderful peaceful pious humans and thus has amended its reporting standards to fit that mold:

    And in typical bBC propaganda mode they come out with this beauty:
    Muslim men are by tradition forbidden to touch women who are not members of their close family.

    Err anybody at the bBC wish to comment on each and every kiddy fiddling story that has reared its ugly head these past few years concerning Muslim men who are going against their faith. In fact the latest such story comes from an Islamic school in the Uk where Islamic girls are taught about how wonderful Islam is.
