It’s the only reason Rodney escaped the UK to stand at the back of the queue of real statesmen, and write yet another cheque to give away more of Great Britain’s assets. (debt).

I guess he’s planning to be far, far away when the May results come in, probably in some place without a wireless.

Latest odds on winning party: –

      Reform – 1/10
      Greens – 10/1
      Labour – 18/1
      Tories – 93/5
      Lib dems -150/1

In the old days, with so much indecision and confusion, the Lib Dems were always the go-to place for the ‘don’t knows/who cares’ lot, but seeing that the ridiculous greens and labour are still hanging around like shingles on the bum, amazes me more than somewhat! Kemi really isn’t cutting much mustard either! We must have an awful lot of feckless layabouts who’ll even bother to vote, as well as lots of foreigners. None of these, of course, will include any dodgy phantom voting – that would never do…

(It seems that I’m always forgetting that this site is all about the bBC far-left bias, so just for the record I think the bBC is pro-far-left, anti-British, anti-Jewish, anti-business crowd of over-paid numpties! There – sorted)!

BBC’s Major Anal says he considered raising his children in India because he is ‘very worried’ about the ‘big problems’ in Britain
      ————————————————————————————-

The broadcaster, who was born in Calcutta, said he was ‘very worried’ about ‘my country’ – England – because it is no longer making history.

The University Challenge host has four children with academic Charlotte Faircloth, whom he married in 2013.

Mr Rajan is also a host of Radio 4’s Today programme, a role he will leave in September to start his own company and ‘jump into the great digital Narnia of the creator economy’.

He told Gyles Brandreth’s Rosebud podcast: ‘I can’t tell you how much I love my country, by which I mean England, but I’m very worried about it.

‘I think we’ve got some big, big problems that need addressing, and one of the things is whether this is the best place for my four kids to grow up.

‘My answer is that it is. But I would say specifically that I’m not sure whether it’s still a place where history is being made.

Mr Rajan, 42, said India was ‘exciting and energetic in a way that Britain doesn’t always feel’ and planned to take his children there when they are old enough so they can decide for themselves where they want to live.

I’ve been watching Clarkson’s Farm. The car show bloke who has made 3 x series about a large farm he’s bought and how he’s getting on.

One recurring problem he has is the local council stopping him doing anything when he applies for things like planning permission to help his various attempts at trying to make the farm pay its way.
Putting gravel down for a car park denied, the farm shop initially denied because they didn’t like the roof and then because some of the produce was from more than 16 miles away. No track allowed to the restaurant where he has secretly converted an old barn (because the council would have found a way to stop it) because a larger better restaurant plan was earlier denied permission.
(I’ll find out in the next episode what the council will be doing to thwart his restaurant)
Every time he tries to do anything he is stopped by the council.

    So then.
How can these travellers drive into a field, concrete it over and move in. The councils seem helpless (hopeless) to deal with these people.

Is it a case of these councillors are all bullies who hide behind sometimes various obscure laws to force law abiding people to do what they, the councils, want.
When faced with the travellers they disappear like the cowards they are.

Is it possibly that they hate the likes of Clarkson who they will see as a ‘Righty’ whereas they see the travellers as an oppressed minority and they can get their likes and virtue signalling in just as if it was a load of enrichers needing housing.

In planning law, when a local plan is compiled it’s compulsory to write in an allocation for gypsies and travellers. So what happens is there’s never enough places calculated by a percentage of the population. So the travellers buy a plot of land and move onto it without permission. When the Council seek to evict them, the defence is that there’s insufficient spaces for them so they end up staying. This rigmarole is OK for the Council as it means they don’t have massive objections if they allocate sites. I’ve seen it happen a number of times.

There are increasing numbers of sites springing up all over Cheshire and I’m sure elsewhere, it’s the Irish immigration counterpart to the illegal Channel crossings.

Various family and friends have visited Andalusia recently. One had problems on the trains. That got me thinking about the Spanish high speed rail system.

In 2013 they completed a high speed rail link to France.
The final section was 81 miles long, taking on the Pyrenees, and cost Eu 3.7 bn.

In 2019 they opened the Antequera to Granada line, again about 80 miles long and costing an amazing Eu 1.4 bn.

Presumably they didn’t need to worry about Bat tunnels or Great Crested Newts.
London to Birmingham HS2 is only a little bit longer yet the cost is approaching £100 bn.

And no-one is asking any questions. The BBC of course are obsessed with public transport, which can do no wrong in their eyes, as they get the tube to Oxford Street and walk all of 5 minutes to work.

  27. Sluff says:

And now it’s time for a game of join the dots.

The Southport children murders enquiry has concluded as follows……

An “absence of risk ownership”, with no agency accepting responsibility for “assessing and managing the grave risk posed by the perpetrator”
The report highlights how essential information was repeatedly lost or poorly managed across agencies, which led to “critical failures in information sharing”
    ……..

The agencies mentioned are of course all public sector agencies.

So if public sector agencies are so totally incompetent…….why do so many want to nationalise the water companies?

Any BBC ‘investigative journalists’ out there?
