Nepotism is alive and well at the bBC, tattooed lovely Fearne Cotton is to make her Radio 2 debut (WTF?) presenting a program about her great Uncle Billy Cotton….

Other Radio Two Christmas delights include a White Christmas with a difference, a program about Barry White (see what they did there?) Christmas Eve with that well known radio star Heston Blumenthal and Boxing Day with French and Saunders….

That great intellect Mark Easton tells us that we are more likely to be killed by a golf ball than by terrorists.

Shouldn’t we be told about those six fatalities per year?

Oh, I forgot, the London bombers et al are non-muslim ‘militants’, terrorism doesn’t come into it.

Life (and death) is all about risks.

Thing is, if I decide to stroll around the links, I have inherently accepted the possibility of a plummeting Titleist Pro V1 (interesting brand name).

I am also reasonably confident the launchers are not targeting me and will do all in their power to shout ‘Fore!’.

Bus, train, tube, plane, cruise ship, disco, shopping mall, Woolwich pavement… by stealth, with planning and malice, not so much.

So Mr. Easton, take such daft attempted equivalence (if as described) to Ms. Husain and both of you think very deeply about where it can be shoved.

The best source I can find is a study covering 1982-1988 during which one golfing death was recorded.

That amounts to 0.17 deaths p.a.

Maybe we actually would be safer on a gold course that in the rest of Easton/Clegg’s ‘modern Britain’? I would imagine the number of ‘militants’ on our golf courses would be many magnitudes lower than on the London underground, whereas the number of ‘militants’ in Broadcasting House is probably remarkably high!

Golfers don’t tend to deliberately hunt out non-golfers and then hit balls at them until they’re dead.

And terrorist fatalities aren’t an accident.

In that case the golf courses in Nigeria, Pakistan, Kenya, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan must be very dangerous. Or do brown people not count?

Once the greater goodness in tactical support, or undermining, is established from Lord Pantone, Danny, James, James, Mary, Helen and the rest of the £300k+ Clan, I see fun as the BBC’s Jasmines, Nicks, Normans, Ians, Pauls and Daras, mount their next UKIP Operation Clarke County attempt, and shoot themselves in the other foot.

    Balotelli ‘Racism’ Probe
The BBC sports editors are at it again in the football world. Whilst quoting the tweet on the BBC News channel sports bulletin, the tweet isn’t even quoted fully in the report, which may well leave room for an ill-informed discussion on how everyone is racist and hates everyone else??

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30287413

    ‘Jumps like a black man…..’

Err.. Mario Balotelli is a black man. White men can’t jump? Is the ‘racial slur’ against whites? Or all ‘non-blacks’? Check the NBA rosters. Genetics, get over it. Or is the ‘racial slur’ against Jews?…

    …..‘….Grabs coin like a Jew.’

Err.. Is this an insult? Seems a sensible life policy to me, especially if you belong to a race who have been historically persecuted, by dumb-asses, in all parts of the world. Future personal fiscal planning in an uncertain world. In fact, it could be construed as a compliment to the intelligence of ‘a Jew’.
So how is this ‘racist’ or ‘racism’? Perhaps Mario believes that personal fiscal planning is a sensible thing and ‘a Jew’ knows where it’s at? Grab them coins if folks are silly enough to drop them in your lap! Good luck Mario! (But sort it out on the pitch). Good luck ‘a Jew’! You deserve it.
Perhaps the BBC could do the research into the diversity of British cultural humour that Mario may have already done? Or would they rather infer that everybody must believe that Jews are stupid or that the increase in one’s personal holdings in an uncertain world is a dumb thing or….
..Or the BBC is just race baiting again, now that Michael Brown, [Ferguson]- the 6f 2-4in, 300lb (over 20 stone!) adult criminal who assaulted (punched him! And went for his gun!) a police officer [and got shot by said officer after making a series of bad decisions] needs taking off the news before the public learn some facts.

    Orwell’s warnings went unheeded.

The Ministry of Truth is here, and the BBC’s a battalion instilling the fear and hatred, as is the ethics-free fascist PR machine engulfing the FA.

Poor Liverpool! Racist Louis gets a lengthy ban for using naughty words and now Mario is set for one for the same reason, if I was any football club I would ban the use of twitting/ fart booking by any player/ manager / owner immediately and forever. These simple footballers do not realise that the Hive of beeboids follows each and every one of them as they know the fruit of nonPC language will drop into their laps with monotonous regularity. Shooting fish in the barrel is much harder than letting these simpletons shoot themselves at the court of BBC ‘waysist’ pretend fury. Football ought to realise it is a prime target for the thought police as it is watched by the dangerous uncontrollable plebs, players are worshiped by young W/C boys and is seen as one of the last bastions of male power and therefore in need of remaking in the beeboids image of what it should look like, run by wimmin, played by multi sexual teams where a quota of male/female/gay/lesbian/ men wearing skirts and fancying dogs is installed in every dressing room throughout the land. Match of the Day can be dumped along with it’s horribly white working class expensive pundits as nobody bothers to watch any longer and the dreaded Sky goes bust. Win all around for Hive central……..of course other opinions such as it’s all a Toffee plot are available.

The Today programme seems to be adopting a new variation on the “mass immigration makes us all richer” mantra.
Usually, anyone who notices the negative impacts (too many to list) associated with rapid mass migration in their local area are denounced as being too stupid, bigoted or racist to see what is in their own self interest. Now, the line seems to be that these village idiots, plebs and retired, reactionary colonels are, in fact, intelligent and compos mentis enough to correctly describe the detrimental effects on housing, education, crime rates, etc. in their area.
The new line is that although simple folk can actually determine what is going on about them, they are not seeing the “big picture” The big picture is, of course, that the Treasury coffers are overflowing with billions from industrious immigrants, but that the government is not redistributing these funds to the local areas adversely affected by immigration.
But this seems to be a self-defeating argument. The money required to eliminate the conceded downsides of mass immigration to the areas affected, may eventually be much greater than the tax take from the immigrants causing the problems.

The usual weak liberal line. It really is weak as it is unable to comprehend any other description of a nation than an economic one. A sort of bastard Marxism learnt by liberal economics graduates.
Pathetic really and at variance with reality and the history of the world. Ignore them.

Plotting UK GDP per person (inflation adjusted) shows an interesting pattern. Essentially there has been linear growth until around 2004 when it peaked then fell back a bit. Since when it has essentially flat-lined.

But we are also told that the population has been ‘enhanced’ by 20% over the last decade (i.e. since 2014). I find it remarkable that despite the various ‘boom and busts’ that we have experienced since 1955 we have sustained this steady growth yet for the last decade we haven’t improved at all. Correlation isn’t causation though and immigrants don’t all repatriate their funds.

Beeboids and anti-mass immigration in Europe.

After years of their politically biased denunciation of ‘Migration Watch,’ Beeboids, under pressure, shifted their position somewhat, recently.

Are Beeboids now doing something similar with reporting France and Marine Le Pen’s Front National?:-

“Le Pen’s French National Front eyes route to power”
    By Lucy Williamson,
    BBC News, Paris.

Some Beeboid fair reporting on Geert Wilders, such as this?:-

Wilders will never get a hearing on the BBC. He is clear and uncompromising in his defence of Western culture. Not something the BBC/liberal media understands or has any feeling for.
The greatest sin a European can commit is to defend his history and civilisation. It is to this pass that the liberal elite has brought us.
A sort of collective insanity that gripped the educated of Europe during the post war period.

The Denmark report: Muslims commit disproportionate share of crime
Sweden: School leader urges parents to follow children to school after attacks in Muslim area
        Europe: Generation Jihad is here!
UK: Muslims laugh in court as they’re accused of beheading plot
Denmark: Muslim refugees persecute Christian refugees
France : Islamic State jihadi tells Muslims in France to attack non-Muslims: “Kill them and spit in their faces and run over them with your cars”
Italy: Muslim teenager viciously beaten by her family for being “too Western”
UK: Ten more police officers investigated for cover-up of Muslim rape gang activity in Rotherham
        etc, etc, etc.

Odd that ‘Today’ (Radio 4) this morning in its round up of the papers didn’t tell of this lead story in the Guardian (nor indeed did the TV reviewers last night) http://www.theguardian.com/education/2014/dec/02/government-reform-higher-education-students-loans-business
The ‘students’ milking the system of millions are apparently resident in Romania and Bulgaria. Yes the Guardian said that.
Instead we had an interview with a Professor Golden who wanted more immigration as it brought innumerable advantages. Any housing or schools shortage could be dealt with by building more, and so on…
Nary a hard question to the Professor whose future on the BBC is as golden as his name.

    • Umbongo says:

Professor Goldin is Professor of Globalisation and Development and Director of the Oxford Martin School at the University of Oxford. As you can see from his biography he is the very model of a statist, “one world” member of and adviser to the international nomenklatura: an ex-adviser to St Mandela and an economist at the World Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. I didn’t hear his contribution on Today but I would be very surprised if he didn’t spout the pieties so beloved of our political class concerning its view of the benefits of immigration.
Again, I don’t know the fundamental reasons why the late James Martin funded the institution which Goldin heads but I suspect they weren’t a million miles from those of another philanthropist, James Grantham. Grantham’s largesse does not fund disinterested research but, on the contrary, is used to propagandise on behalf of the warmist religion. Similarly, the Oxford Martin School appears to support bien pensant thought and policy everywhere.
The School is most proud of its Oxford Martin Commission for Future Generations., a collection of 19 luminaries who will guide us all into their chosen future. Needless to say, these “luminaries” are the usual collection of international, mostly lefty but all warmist, parasites: Pascal Lamy, Michelle Bachelet, Lionel Barber, Professor Roland Berger, Professor Ian Goldin, Arianna Huffington, Dr Mo Ibrahim, Luiz Felipe Lampreia, Minister Liu He, Professor Kishore Mahbubani, Minister Trevor Manuel, Julia Marton-Lefèvre, Minister Nandan Nilekani, Lord Patten, Baron Piot, Lord Rees, Professor Amartya Sen, Lord Stern and Jean-Claude Trichet.
No wonder Goldin was on Today. he is a prime example of the BBC identikit “academic”: just wind him up and he’ll preach from the BBC hymn-book on anything you – or rather the BBC – care to choose

The Beeboidian rationalising as ever impresses:

‘…saying that a complaint shouldn’t be heard, because it was unlikely to succeed’

If I understand correctly, the BBC ‘hears’, in 7,000 words, that it doesn’t need to hear it. Uh-huh.

‘I’d love to get an estimate of the cost of not hearing this complaint.’

As would many, I imagine, including MPs, the Future of the BBC committee, DCMS, NAO , PAC and, of course licence fee payers being saved all those wastes of money.

However, thanks to the unique way the BBC does not get held to account, I suspect any inquiry into this would see yet more money spent by the BBC making sure no one ever finds out.

Whilst not quite in the mould of the scene in 1 Million Years BC when 3 cave dwellers decide to have a foursome with a passing bit of crumpet before they get attacked by a passing T Rex, it does have a certain hold on a willing voyeur to the behaviour of the new model Metrosexual when it is cornered and it’s welfare payment is threatened.
