The Flapping Of a Butterfly’s Wings

If you have ever wondered what the sound of somebody being publicly nonplussed sounds like check out Mishal Husain’s interview with David Attenborough (08:55), asked on to comment about butterflies only to find himself being interrogated on that ‘celebrity letter’ defending the BBC.

Now fair do’s to Mishal Husain for asking the questions…did he sign the document and did someone at the BBC ‘encourage’ him to do so?

Attenborough at first gave the disengenuous answer that he didn’t know who wrote the letter…but then admitted that, yes, the BBC asked him to sign it.

Husain then went on to point out that many of his programmes, those very popular, high quality ‘BBC’ programmes, were in fact made by independent companies….therefore would they not still be made if the BBC didn’t exist was the suggestion?

Mishal Husain also suggested that it was natural that questions are raised about the size and scope of the BBC….therefore presumably not an anti-BBC witch-hunt driven by vested interests out to destroy the BBC as Tony Hall and Friends like to portray the Charter Review?

Any possibility that Husain is now off Tony Hall’s Christmas card list?….or Ramadan card list…whatever.

Lol, I don’t think so. After all, she didn’t ask the only relevant question: why should anyone be forced by law to pay for something they might not want?

I’m still waiting for just one Beeboid to answer this (if anyone ever asks it).

Attenborough is a rich and out-of-touch believer in Gaia who believes also that he has a specific understanding of reality (Nature)that places him above the rest of us. This entitles him to pronounce on matters where his expertise is non-existent.

If humans had visible use-by dates, he’d be in trouble.

I seem to recall that Mr Attenborough is also a supporter of Agenda 21; you know, the UN policy to reduce the world population from around 7 billion to about 500 million.

Had a very easy life, cosseted inside the warmth of the BBC-in fact a life that very few would ever have been able to have had, enjoying & following what was afterall am outside hobby. No wonder he would be grateful to the BBC and sign anything they asked of him. Bit like the Dimbleby brothers in fact.

Attenborough was once a global warming sceptic, albeit of a mild ‘the jury’s out’ variety, but suddenly changed his tune. Wonder why.

And as with all warmists, new or old, science goes out of the window:

A bit like the BBC itself, he gets away with shamelessly brainwashing the public by abusing his past reputation.

Indeed so GWF-always surprised they would have allowed a Muslim to be a BBC presenter-of course in saying that I assume Michal Hussain is a follower of Islam-& again surprised that she has not been made to incase herself in the regulated uniform of women Muslims.

Listened to this and posted the Q&As on the previous thread, it was not ‘fair play’ to Mishal Husain who posed the question as a feeder obviously expecting Attenborough to lie.

When she didn’t get the answer she wanted there was a huge pregnant pause while she seemed stunned, searching for the next question.

To my mind this was a set up which failed to get the expected responses, not an investigative report at all.

Al Beeb might make more boo-boos with the Sun Nazi royal salute affair. I wonder if they will refer to their beloved leader Reith’s much later and much more fervent endorsement of Hitler and his fascist contemporaries. Here is what Wiki says –

“In 1975, excerpts from Reith’s diary were published which showed he had, during the 1930s, harboured somewhat pro-fascist views. On 9 March 1933, he wrote: “I am pretty certain … that the Nazis will clean things up and put Germany on the way to being a real power in Europe again. They are being ruthless and most determined.” After the July 1934 Night of the Long Knives, in which the Nazis ruthlessly exterminated their internal dissidents, Reith wrote: “I really admire the way Hitler has cleaned up what looked like an incipient revolt. I really admire the drastic actions taken, which were obviously badly needed.” After Czechoslovakia was invaded by the Nazis in 1939 he wrote: “Hitler continues his magnificent efficiency.”

Reith also expressed admiration for Benito Mussolini. Reith’s daughter, Marista Leishman, wrote that her father in the 1930s did everything possible to keep Winston Churchill and other anti-appeasement Conservatives off the airwaves.”

What a shame that people today do not know the first thing about the history of Fascism. How it was conceived, and by whom, the links to the Socialist movements, its policy ideals etc etc.
Most people when asked will reply with the false hatred of Jews & Gays, which only Hitlers Nazi party practiced, because of his closeness, if not outright conversion to Islam had a hand in.

Germany in the 1930s was in a bigger mess than Greece is now, and Hitler performed what appeared to be a miracle in bringing it back from that to civilisation again. Hardly a wonder why so many admired him, especially with the threat of Communism so real.

Gavin Essler going on about this right now, suggesting that pro-Nazi sympathy was widespread in the 30’s. He didn’t mention Reith or 1939 though.
