Taffman,
But just think about the health service and all the rest. Any chance of half decent treatment is disappearing before our very eyes. When will the Government declare billions to build new hospitals even to serve the immense number of houses they pledge?
Here is another depressingly regular story from the Leftie MEN about a woman who allegedly racially abused some coloured woman on a tram. As per usual the lead up is missing, and this is so the real perpetrator can wind the victim up until they respond, and then claim it is a ‘waycist’ so called hate incident.
The massively over funded Political Correctness Enforcement Squad have a horde of officers doing nothing waiting for these events, and will fully investigate the poor woman, yet all of this is not the point.
Take a look at the comments which a worrying number say that they want absolutely draconian punishments including the death penalty! And all this because a woman was wound up enough deliberately in order to provoke a reaction.

Yet another troubling wishy washy super rich liberal is found in hock to the Saudis, I wonder when if ever the BBC will raise concerns about the voices calling for more Islamisation of the UK who are found to be in receipt of the Saudi billions?
So on the one hand Saudi gives Branson £1 Billion and then allow him to develop a luxury holiday resort – something which Saudi has never allowed (neither resorts nor outside tourism).
In my experience (I do have relevant experience) nothing… as in nothing happens around KSA without gifts and bungs. Branson isn’t building a resort – he’s the gurning front man for … maybe the Bin Laden companies? – I think we should be told 🙂
I guess the Saudis are feeling a bit relaxed about the Red Sea coast now that they’ve completed the pulverising of any inconvenient Christian or Jewish artifacts that might come to the attention of visitors.

Just been out with a few friends and I through in a thought on the subject of companies hiring in consultant’s. My belief has always been that if the management and the board of directors need telling from the outside how to run the company how the hell did they get that far up the ladder. Then I started to wonder how much of the licence tax goes on this dairy parlour. Just a thought. Maybe Marky has some numbers.
Synch,
I’ve been on the receiving end of consultants. They desperately need to find something new to justify obscene remuneration or even the posher compensation – which to normal people means wages.
Anyway – after having made nice with the workers they go away – do a sexy flow chart and exec summary of the bleeding obvious then get the senior management to re hire them in 6 months to review ( I e just make more cash for no gain). It’s the bestist scam going. The corrupt accountancy firms are the dogs bol —ks at it.
I’m a long way out of that now so the buzzwords are probably better but it used to be ‘synergy’ ‘empowerment ‘ holistic engagement and bullshit like that.
Weak managements hire consultants to act as whipping boys. Management knows what has to be done, but is afraid of being blamed. They pay the consultants for a report telling them what they already know, then say that they have no choice but to implement the recommendations, no matter how painful for the workforce. The changes are made and the much richer consultants leave, taking all the blame with them. Everyone left, management and workforce, can pretend to be victims of the consultants.

Having voted to keep arrests solely for the police, can we assume that someone in some sort of Home Office cupboard wants plug-uglies from G4S or Serco will be banging on doors at midnight, demanding tv taxes from pensioners?
That’ll be a joke! They lose prisoners all the time, and park on double yellow lines!
Why not put it all out to tender, and get Crapita in the race, then we can all get some sleep! Might tender myself even – yup, ‘Scrobs Inc are here to help…’
Here’s the message, which most people here will have seen…
“G4S and Serco could be about to get police powers of arrest. [1] They’ve ripped off taxpayers and been accused of abusing people in their care – soon they could be carrying handcuffs and turning up on doorsteps to arrest people. [2]
The minister for Justice, David Lidington, is deciding right now whether to give powers of arrest to G4S and Serco as part of a police privatisation plan. [3] So far the public has been shut out of the decision, but with our liberty on the line, it’s time to make our voices heard.
A huge public outcry could stop these plans in their tracks. Together, we can prove the public want bobbies on the beat, not a private police force. If thousands of us add our names to a petition demanding these dangerous plans are dropped, the government will be forced to listen.”

Good morning all.
I’ve just followed this link on my apple news feed to an Express story about the Mogster and there’s a survey regarding the BBC “are they anti-brexit?” , “should the licence fee be scrapped” etc etc.
It’s not looking good for the bBBC as, at the time of my voting the responses were all in the high 90%’s saying yes they are and yes it should.
This was Labour schmoozer Andy Burnham on the BBC red sofa watching a deeply sanitised version of the Manchester Arena terror bombing aftermath. Oh how he waxed lyrical about the emergency services. He looks quite waxy, doesn’t he? I’m not entirely sure the word terrorism was even mentioned. The whole incident was treated like some act of nature. Don’t want to worry you but it appears to be assumed in BBC and Labour circles that this stuff is inevitable (think we’ve heard another Labour Mayor from down south say that) and the only thing we can do is to prepare for it.
Depressing.
BBC bods did refer to Christmas Markets – so perhaps it’s the cold weather that might make these things more likely to happen?
Hello dyst’
Like Brexit – the process of waking people up to the reality of albeeb is slow but sure. Happy will be the day it’s sold off.
Toady is covering JFK with a certain dis interest . Perhaps it’s because president trump actually released some of the remaining information – which as all the mad conspiracists will say is forged. Al beebbwont want President Trump to look good about anything.
I prefer my theory – yes – that Lee Harvey Weinstein took a shot – but jfk was killed by the Secret Service – either the bloke with the m16 in the follow car – of the one in the front seat. Both accidental – a cock up.
People have to be really clever for conspiracies which work and there aren’t that many clever people about – ( except my colleagues on this site )- or are there ?
News today that the NHS could not be arsed to have sensisble IT policies and so were badly affected by a virus several months ago.
I am just waiting for the cry that ‘we are here to serve patients and not be IT specialists’ in similar vein to ‘we are here to serve patients and not be an extension of the UK Border Force’ (referencing health tourism).
Earlier this week we heard of a massive shortfall in operating theatres capacity simply because they cannot sort out the required logistics. ‘We are here to serve patients and not be logistic specialists’ ‘more doctors and nurses and less managers’, comes the inevitable cry.
And then the sensible idea to move bedblockers into residential accommodation is trashed by the left with a whole host of scare stories.
You get the idea that the NHS really exists only as a sort of left wing producer-led fraud, where spending taxpayers money efficiently is a sort of hate crime and spending as much money as possible as inefficiently as possible is a sort of end in itself.
Sluff
The reason the operating theatre are unused is because all powerful consultants are off doing private clinics and taking bungs for getting private patients ( me with a credit card – or you ) on top of the nhs list.
Or because consultants who swear blind they can only do 4 operations a day suddenly manage to do 7 on a Saturday.
How come, I hear readers think.
Simple. During the week, the consultants are contracted.
On a Saturday it is overtime and a pay-per-operation basis.
But that’s the caring medical profession for you. Sympathising….all the way to the bank.
NAO blames NHS for not dealing with viral attack on IT …ok?
Now normally they go for the easy blame line and who should be sacked ? Not this Time. Al Beeb loves the NHS . I don’t .
So al Beeb went after a government minister. The DOH was wise enough to avoid Toady – but another chap did a good job with humph( £650k) being chumy.
What I can’t work out is if all these managers and directors in the NHS on a shed load of money can’t put antivirus on a windows puter or do the patches ( which even I can do ) why are they paid so much?
Dear colleagues, I need some advice here, my bBC ‘bill’ arrived on the mat this morning. Does anyone know what the legal position is for not paying it? What must I do to stay legal?
Franky
Follow your conscience. But it you choose to not pay be prepared for the licence tax collectors . Bit tricky is you have a family as anyone can answer the door and speak. There is no legal requirement to open the door, speak to or sign anything from these private individuals who work for a company which works for al Beeb .
Women are more friendly and chatty than men so get prosecuted more it seems. Beware of women licence Gestapo too.
There is no requirement to answer letters . I am not a lawyer by the way but cannot pay because of my conscience .
I caught a few moments of BBC Hospital Radio last night, the so-called Radio 5 ‘Live’. A caller appeared to have taken the BBC to task over its pro-EU, anti-Brexit stance. Chris Mason gave his own opinion, not the BBC’s we were assured, that because most of the experts and politicians were pro-EU before the referendum and perhaps still were it was inevitable that political/business programmes would include more ‘remainers’ than ‘leavers’ as it was still necessary to interview these people now.
It’s a good theory but it doesn’t explain why the anti-Brexit line is worked into every bit of drama and ‘comedy’ that they put out too. Surely a profesional writer in these fields can ‘bend’ their output as required?
It can also be said that most of the ‘experts’ on science, business and profesional sport are men yet the BBC goes to incredible lengths to meet self-imposed targets to find giggly girls to fill these slots. Surely there must be gay giggly gauch girls that can be found to talk up Brexit?
Another important question that Mason’s answer implies is that most of our ‘experts’ in the business/politics field got it wrong on the euro and the financial crisis so most of ‘the people’ quite rightly don’t believe them so shouldn’t these ‘experts’ be sacked? The BBC believes in consensus over ‘climate change’ so why not over the EU?
JimS
Sod the experts and politicians. The views that count are the views of the 17.5 million people who voted out, I thought that’s how democracy works. They are the ones our public broadcaster should be supporting. If they won’t do that they can sling their ‘ook.
Lets hope that after the next Mayoral and General Elections, the only job prospects that these gentleman have are on radio stations. Or bus driving and allotment holding?
Are there any decent non-biased presenters on any of the stations at all?
Like Andrew Neil, but last night had Pienaaaaaaaar standing in for him.
Vile lefty harpie allowed to spout about how shit Britain is and how useless we are without the EU.
When Portillo laid out the bare facts of the majority of the country wanted out of the EU, Pienaaaaaar looked like someone had just shat in his mouth.
BBC South Africa correspondent during end of Apartheid era and start of Mandela presidency? Then back to Europe, may have been Katya Adler’s predecessor?
“It’s greens, not Lord Lawson, who are anti-science”
The bullying dramagreens try to get away with shouting everyone else down.. Ben Pile answers back
“rather than shedding light on the facts of climate change,
these complaints say much more about the strange, intolerant and censorious mindset of environmentalists”
“hysteria about the expression of unauthorised opinion is a far more interesting – and dangerous – phenomenon”
Spain’s EU puppet PM trying to hold it together.
Eastern European countries disgruntled.
Austrian election result.
Brexit.
Italian elections looming.
Merkel hiding in her bunker.
Isolated unreported (mainstream) violence in Scandanavia.
The Eurocrats are going to run out of sticking plasters soon me thinks.
Another sex scandal brewing at the BBC with the hypocritical lefties having been told a presenter was sexually assaulting women and doing nothing about it?
The presenter – who cannot be named for legal reasons – would typically approach the women from behind whilst they were wearing skirts, and put his hand underneath to feel them, it has been claimed.
He is alleged to have assaulted at least eight female BBC staff.
Four of the women who claim to have been groped reported him to senior BBC bosses late last week, and each submitted statements detailing their encounters.
They told the controller of the radio station that they wanted the man in question fired.
But instead of removing him from his post immediately, the BBC is understood to have launched a secret investigation into his behaviour.
The days when terrorism took place are over.
Paddington station evacuated, but there is no chance that terrorism will ever be considered.
Probably was an accident.
But the possibility of terror will never be allowed to surface.
Terrorism is over.

Yes I thought the same – not a word about terrorism. Almost like it just blew itself up….
Lessons will be learned –

Looks quite waxy ? I think Andy Burnham looks like Archie Andrews (the dummy).

The reason the operating theatre are unused is because all powerful consultants are off doing private clinics and taking bungs for getting private patients ( me with a credit card – or you ) on top of the nhs list.
Scandalous and long ignored.

Don’t pay . Remember the tax is for watching live broadcasts , not for possession of a TV .
If they knock at your door , don’t answer if you know it’s them . If you do , shut the door on them .

Sod the experts and politicians. The views that count are the views of the 17.5 million people who voted out, I thought that’s how democracy works. They are the ones our public broadcaster should be supporting. If they won’t do that they can sling their ‘ook.

“Islington performed near the bottom of the distribution on wellbeing, environmental quality, housing affordability and safety. … Housing in Islington was among the least affordable in Britain.”

Interestingly there is very little info on Pienaar’s early life, apart from born in Britain, and what he does now.

Another sex scandal brewing at the BBC with the hypocritical lefties having been told a presenter was sexually assaulting women and doing nothing about it?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5024477/BBC-radio-presenter-groped-eight-female-colleagues.html
