Weekend Open Thread

‘Any Questions’ fielded the editor of the online ‘news site’ The Canary Kerry-Anne Mendoza without telling us it is essentially a mouthpiece for Corbyn…not a ‘news site’ at all is it?,  good of the BBC to give it a platform…though maybe not as what we got was childish, ignorant, partisan nonsense from the editor…a bit of insight into what you could expect from The Canary itself?

Interesting to hear Dimbleby describe the audience as ‘self-selecting’…always thought they were carefully and rigorously vetted and selected for impartiality and to provide a good balance that represented the full spectrum of political viewpoints from across the country….Dimbleby also suggested that most of the audience would like to eat less meat….is that because he ran a poll or because he knows most of them are lefty sandal-wearing veggies?  The latter I suspect.

Any instances of the BBC ‘self-selecting’ the news that suits it….list it all here….

How many times have we got to put up with that ?

The F’ing BBC are at it again!

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-43392551

Even though the Parson’s Bomber, Ahmed Hassan, had said he came to this country to kill people after being in an ISIS training camp the BBC report he is: “The Iraqi fantasist who wanted attention”

The BBC go on to say: “It was not his intention to cause an explosion on the Tube train, he said. He only wanted to cause a fire.” Why didn’t the BBC offer to be his defence in court, even the defending lawyers wouldn’t come out with nonsense like that.

Now please understand what the BBC is forgetting to report, this nasty little sod filled his explosive device with knives, nails, screws and other items which would cause catastrophic and deadly injuries to human beings. The only reason there were no deaths is because he was incompetent. The device was designed to murder people.

The BBC say, “During that interview Hassan claimed he had been recruited by the Islamic State group in Iraq and had been “trained to kill”.” Just look at the word ‘claimed’. Not stated, but ‘claimed’ as if he didn’t know that he was sent here to kill.

The real problem for the BBC is that this is a child refugee from Calais, who illegally came into this country and then claimed asylum. The sort of person beloved of Gary Lineker and many other Guardian readers.

This is an appalling attempt to hide the truth from the public. If people don’t know that some Muslims have been sent here to cause injury, then we will end up having more dangerous people washing up on our shores, and more deaths. The next Ahmed Hassan may well get his bomb to work properly.

      Good spots SS.
Noted Channel 4 and the BBC using that “claimed” word last night as they said Unilever “claimed” that their relocation to Rotterdam was not, in any way, related to our Brexit vote.
Unilever can claim what they like for their shareholders, but the BBC and Channel 4 actually KNOW what Unilever and its shareholders are doing by relocating.
These weasel words-“claim” instead of “stated” “said” etc are very dangerous. The media do this all the time, and it`s hardly mentioned in the blizzards of froth and ack ack they send out as “news and analysis”.

PS-note that RJ gave GWF a heads up about the 1000th poster…is this allowed Alan? Seems like the Royall Brothers Tag team to me, which -I would argue-may involve a rematch at Wolverhampton Civic Hall.

What is interesting though that even engaged with the Prevent Strategy, his intentions were hidden from view. The simpletons managing the course clearly have not had the principle of “taqiyya” explained to them. The fact is, that the Government can promote the Prevent Strategy and more £50 million language courses but they miserably fail to realise these people have a prominent streak of mentality which stretches back to the year 732 and that will take a little more that some half-cocked “Strategy” designed to eradicate harmful intentions. It is not a difficult task, it is an impossible task so long as the quaran promotes war and killing kaffirs.

Also notice how the article is titled:
Parsons Green attack: The Iraqi fantasist who wanted attention

The attention bit is what the terrorist teenage Iraqi asylum seeker stated therefore that bit of the title should have been in quotes.

The BBC love using quotes to lie imply something may not be true but in this case leaving out the quotes they are implying he really just wanted attention and nothing more.

Or to put it another way… the BBC are c**ts!

BBC are slowly getting the picture … words are important … children are children …. this is not grooming it is r*pe and abuse ….

Grooming, r*pe, trafficking, or the many other ways children are being sexually abused, the subject of child sexual exploitation – or CSE as it is known by professionals in the field – is in the headlines with depressing regularity. Telford is currently in the spotlight – but is by no means the first place and will not be the last.

A 12-year-old girl was found, being plied with alcohol, in a car with a 22-year-old man. He had indecent images of her on his phone. No action was taken.

And the media unwittingly helped to obscure the scale of the abuse, referring to children as the “girlfriends” of adult men. When in 2001, Lucy Lowe was murdered in Telford – along with her mother and sister – by the 26-year-old man who had groomed and abused her, news outlets – including the BBC – described the adult killer as Lucy’s “boyfriend”.

“I was also going to the doctor and the youth sexual health clinic a couple of times a week for three years and getting the morning-after pill.

      “Nobody asked any questions.”

I’ve just listened to most of the Now Show, chris. Not bad this week. Turned off when the ‘singing’ started, just in case.

The Now Show has possibly revealed a bit of news about the Skripal poisoning that BBC News & Current Affairs – with all its vast resources – has been unable to bring me for 12 days.

Were they right that the police are certain the poison was administered in Sergei Skripal’s car? Or are the Now Show imagining that? Or making it up? Or guessing?

Anyone know if that is correct?

If so, BBC Light Entertainment outdoes BBC N&CA in news gathering. That’s a bit embarrassing for James Purnell.

        • RJ says:

The Now Show is a few days out of date.

There was no evidence of anyone approaching the two victims to administer the poison so it was thought that it had been placed in the car. That would also explain how the police officer was poisoned. The current theory is that it was in the daughter’s luggage, so it had been hidden there before she left Russia. If that is true there is no UK link and all we are left with is a massive clean-up operation.

Holly, I have been led to believe that Julia Skripal flew in from Moscow on the Saturday. If she was the assailant, she might have brought the nerve agent with her or made contact on route to Salisbury with a Russian State agent, or another provider on behalf of gangsters or even – yes – someone else from another State or criminal gang.

For nearly two weeks there doesn’t seem to have been much ‘eliminating from enquiries’ going on, despite the vast numbers working on this case.

It is possible I could have missed it, although such significant information would have usually been run across a whole day or more of News broadcasts. I usually catch two or three a day.

The implication of news 8 days on was that it was done at the table in the restaurant.

Either way, on what we have been allowed to know, once again that does rather make Julia Skripal the likely assailant.

RJ, precisely! (As Sherlock Homes would say to Watson.)

The BBC, that uniquely funded, highly respected, first class news organisation does not seem to ask pertinent questions at all these days. I have loads if they have run out of ideas.

Perhaps they could hand over some of the £3.6bn to us and we can try to get some more information into the public domain.

For example, are one or both of the Skripal’s now conscious and able to answer questions from investigators? If not, when might they be? Are there still considerable doubts whether they will survive? Might they have suffered severe brain impairment?

Not a squeak along those lines from any BBC journalists or presenters in my hearing.

                I wonder why?

I thought the detective was sickened by the nerve agent after going to Skirpal’s house, yet no medics who treated them at the bench were similarly contaminated by it.

                • Up2snuff says:

Al, not what I heard through BBC News. It was a PC who attended them on the bench (the ‘first responder’) then came the medics.

That suggests skin contact by hand from one or both Skripals > PC as I would have thought that the paramedics would be ‘gloved up’ as a matter of course.

Apparently the Novochocks series tend to decay. We have that bit of info from a chemist on BBC R4 this week. Later responders may have had less chance of contamination because of that.

Given the notion of bioterrorism is not unheard of, and presumably security and health contingencies are developed and practised, the official reaction thus far has been somewhat intriguing.

It may have been taken out of context, but there was a photo shared of a bunch of teletubbies doing CSI stuff in full HazMat gear, with Fireman Sam standing amongst them protected from contagion by little more than a cute grin.

Like mis-hearing the words of a song, I’ve spent the past 2 weeks wondering what the quickly garbled word is (I can only imagine what Wogan would have made of it). Its all terribly ‘cool’ to speak in half words and initials; ‘Intel’ is another, and why ‘getting in touch’ has been relegated to the dustbin and replaced with ‘reaching out’ is beyond me !

                  • Al Shubtill says:

The police officer who is in the hospital with poisoning is a Detective Sergeant, a surprising ‘first responder’ to a report of two people slumped on park bench on a weekend afternoon.

“It was claimed that the victims—Mr. Skripal and his daugher—were poisoned with Novichok while at a restaurant. Yet how could this have been done? The agent in question is so powerful that a liter of it released into the atmosphere over London would kill most of its population. Breaking a vial of it open over a plate of food would kill the murderer along with everyone inside the restaurant. Anything it touched would be stained yellow, and many of those in the vicinity would have complained of a very unusual, acrid smell. Those poisoned would be instantaneously paralyzed and dead within minutes, not strolling over to a park bench where they were found. The entire town would have been evacuated, and the restaurant would have to be encased in a concrete sarcophagus by workers in space suits and destroyed with high heat. None of this has happened.

In view of the above, it seems unlikely that any of what has been described in the UK media and by May’s government has actually taken place. An alternative assumption, and one we should be ready to fully test, is that all of this is a work of fiction. No pictures of the two victims have been provided. One of them—Skripal’s daughter—is a citizen of the Russian Federation, and yet the British have refused to provide consular access to her. And now it has emerged that the entire scenario, including the Novichok nerve gas, was cribbed from a US/UK television drama “Strike Back.” If so, this was certainly efficient; why invent when you can simply plagiarize.”

Certainly the “brave” Theresa would be the last leader to ever say anything similar (no matter how many white teenage girls get raped) . She is totally inflexible like a frightened, clueless rabbit caught in a powerful hunting lamp and can only carry on running in the same direction until the same dogs she set on others bring her down too.

She is incapable of realising that the ridiculous amount of protection this religion is given is leading to the ruination of our nation, culture and society. But I am sure her dhimmy “elite” friends assure her she is doing the “right” thing for us all.

To complete this destruction/reconstruction of our society Theresa and her globalist sidekick Amber appear now to be installing a more totalitarian system. This is a perfectly natural adjunct to dictators everywhere and I expect these two globalist stooges will soon be congratulating each other on a job well done.

Whether they will be able to keep a lid on things remains to be seen. But what is certain until things are finally settled one way or another there will be many more Rotherhams, Telfords and empty places at the dinner table.

There is of course the excellent and fair analysis of the bbc investigating the bbc and again finding a bbc employee to say the bbc got it about right.

However, one has to wonder how many people people, especially any with responsibilities for how the public are lead, or misled, watch such programmes much less hear about them.

I would give a lot for a ‘What The BBC Says (Vs. Does)’ debating show. Though I suspect inviting BBC editors outside the warm embrace of W1A may result in a few empty chairs.

And a frequent ‘we asked the BBC to comment, but they declined saying they are exempted, or didn’t wanna… or something’.

They could get Ronni Ancona to read that out in a sneery Warkish drawl.

Al Beeb has turned the Russian stuff into a circus – they are watching the British Ambo go into the foreign ministry in Moscow – live – and waiting for him to come out ( if they don’t kill him of course ) and al Beeb is expecting the tit for tat spy expulsion list .

President Trump serves up revenge as a beauty – sacking a democrat FBI deputy the day before he retires so he don’t get his 20 year pension – very stylish – almost putin like in its vindictiveness . Do admire him greatly . No mention from Sopel yet – he must be frothing at the mouth somewhere.

    Lastly
The SNP have come up with a great wheeze of passing a law to allow so called ‘refugees’ to be allowed to bring their families into Blighty. Anyone who disagrees with the proposed law apparently has an ‘empathy bypass’.

Soubry was in full humanitarian mode. Fedup was in full overwhelmed with foreigners mode. Maybe the scots can take all the refugees – there’s only 7 million jocks so why not take a few million of the fuckers . Me – no more refugees – no more peasant foreigners unless they have economic value .
