Bbc finds someone they feel should have a voice.

Other people, at other times, oddly… not so much.

The bbc also has no trouble funding Anna Soubry. Hourly.

Some get flummoxed by their use of ‘quotes’, “quotes” or, in unique cases, none at all plus a combo. This one is quite ‘special’ (see what I did there?).

        Today news conference:
News ed: “Okay, we can lead with a winning Commons vote keeping the U.K. out of a customs union, which mirrors the referendum outcome, and explain to our listeners why that is important.
“Or, we can lead with the avoidance of a defeat and focus on Anna Soubry’s comments shredding Rees-Mogg.”
Dep ed: “The Soubry stuff seems fair to me. Should we slot in a Rees-Mogg quote for balance?”
News ed: “Nah, let’s run with Anna. This is the 8am lead. Let’s not confuse people.”

If the BBC is taken to court and is the loser in any court case, any fine or damages must be paid. Ultimately it is the Licence Fee payers who fund the fine or damages payment. Should this be allowed to happen? The public(licence fee payers) have absoultely no control over the decision or consequences that lead to a court case and yet have to fund the result, as well as the legal costs of such a case. Should the Directors of the BBC be personally responsible for payments, similar to the rules concerning elected councillors in such situations?

Brush up your pronunciation skills this morning as BBC London tv news presenter Tolu Adeoye brings us Today’s Murder (sorry, that will have to be Manslaughter in this case as the offender may have – as the Americans might term it ‘copped a plea’).

Katrina Makunova, 17, from Lewisham, was found with a stab wound to the chest on 12 July at a home on Brisbane Street.

Oluwaseyi Dada, 21, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and subsequently charged with manslaughter.

He’s a bloke and she was a girl, by the way.

BBC on line covers the sorry tale (as briefly as possible) under the headline “Camberwell stabbing”

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-44863352

The Daily Mirror on line adds : “Katrina is believed to be the 82nd victim of knife crime in the capital so far this year”

The Daily Star on line reminds us where the responsibility for crime prevention in the capital lies: “Katerina’s death brings the total number of homicides in the capital this year to 82 as police and London mayor Sadiq Khan struggle to grapple with knife crime”

The BBC, however, fail to hold the Labour Mayor to account. Instead just this weekend Andrew Marr prefers to waste time and interview opportunity in questioning Khan about Brexit.
