Isn’t there considered to be something rather distasteful and demeaning to gloat about coming first these days? After all when President Trump speaks about putting America first he is howled down as being evil personified. Anyway – Well done!

News, for example about those that come to our country for sanctuary and are criminals, rapist etc those who lie about their age to become political refugees, and are let into this country, those who hate this country yet happy to live here and claim benefits. those who seek to blame Winston Churchill as a racist etc etc yet have no relatives in ths country that lived through the blitz on London and Coventry

My biggest concern right at this moment is will I go back to the fridge and finish the wine.
In all seriousness what is totally wiping me out is not the wine but the latest scandal regarding our troops (thank god we still have some) and the photos with Tommy. Things have really gone too far and it’s time that ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH. I feel so helpless and distraught at what’s happening. Yes it’s a combination of many many things big and small but at the front is Islam. The control and influence it already has and the damage it has done to our society and way of life is intolerable and unacceptable. Our entire establishment being the government, security and media must must bloody well stop right now defending the inexcusable Islamic invasion of our country and honour the lives of our serviceman who gave their lives so that I could be born and be alive now. I’ve thoroughly had enough. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Cambridgeshire Mayor James Palmer said debate brings shame to the prestigious university

Students at Cambridge University were slammed today after members of its students’ union rejected a call to celebrate Remembrance Day next month.

Attendees at the Cambridge University Students Union (CUSU) meeting on Monday rejected a motion for the commemoration of ‘all those whose lives have been affected by war across the University of Cambridge’.

The controversial move came after various amendments were made, including crossing out the phrases ‘British war veterans’, ‘Remembrance Day’ and ‘Poppies’.

I find it amazing that when there were no university fees, the standard of education, and the morals and manners of students were as would be expected of a normal human being. Now there is a cost to attending university, standards have fallen, and students behave like the lager louts that used to inhabit Spanish holiday resorts – same behaviour and mentality.

I think that university fees should be much higher, and stringent fines imposed to students who bring their college into disrepute.

But something is going seriously wrong somewhere, when its becoming daily news of student behaviour / opinions / protests / and where they are always finding something to be outraged/offended by. Personally I find it tiring , and wish they’d get back to why they are there – to learn, and not waste their time by telling the rest of us how to be politically correct !

Have to agree Lucky, on both counts. Those under 40 have nothing to say because they don’t have any personality – hence the moronic outlook and attitude to life.

And yes I have been on a journey of self discovery at being a grumpy git – started about 5 years ago when I realised I was disagreeing with everyone, shouting at the tele, moaning at the rubbish quality of restaurant food and the price of it, and kids running rampant in the supermarket with no parental control !!! I could list loads more, but I don’t need the stress.

AND I AM REALLY HACKED OFF WITH B & Q ! on deciding to decorate, I left buying my paint until Wednesday (yesterday) when I could get the pensioners 10% discount. Leaving the checkout I looked at my receipt – NO DISCOUNT taken off. When I disputed this, I was told the 10% discount is now only applicable on gardening products since 3rd September. Who knew ???? So any of you who hope to get your 10% on a Wednesday at B & Q forget it !

I feel so helpless and distraught at what’s happening
That’s the precise objective of what is going on – to make people feel helpless and give up. The exercise of political power is based on the maintenance of the illusion that nothing can be done by ordinary people. Yes, it is bolstered by the state security apparatus, but when the time is right then it will crumble. As any surviving members of the Politburo can testify.

Our entire establishment being the government, security and media…
The problem is that they are not our establishment – they exist for their own benefit and work on behalf of globalists or are beholden to foreign money and have no allegiance to the people of this country or their interests. As Lincoln put it in the Gettysburg address, the thing that is required is “…government of the people, by the people, for the people”. In this case, the British people.

Agree entirely-heard this morning that V & A Museum is holding an exhibition of what they calle the Islamic World-the cleverness of whatever was produced since the 7th Century when the teachings of Islam were first brought to notice was through the talents of the Arab who had been at the forefront of Mathamatics, engineering, design much learnt from earlier Middle Eastern Peoples. Therefore as Islam can claim little credit, what do you suppose the Museum will consist of, other than duplicitous propaganda to support their invasion by stealth. Just learnt that there is another Exhibition at the British Museum-I think we all get the point.

………………………………………..

How many MPs do we actually have? Because all the focus is on Corbyn again. Always Corbyn, Corbyn says this, Corbyn does that. It is really getting on my nerves now. Not everyone supports Labour and there are other MPs and other parties who should get a mention as well.

But of course the BBC just cannot help themselves can they?

We have a PMQs verdict. What is the actual point of them? We can watch it for ourselves. The BBC screen them don’t they?

So what is this then?

‘The prime minister’s promise at last week’s Conservative conference that austerity was almost over was every bit the gift for Jeremy Corbyn that some had expected.’

Every bit the gift? Can one of those left wing Guardian readers at the BBC explain that please? Are they not meant to be impartial. It is bad enough the Owen Jones rag has spammed the same support for Corbyn four times today but the BBC just have to follow it don’t they?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-45809282

Mark D’Arcy’s view:

‘As widely predicted, after the PM hailed the end of austerity in her conference speech, Jeremy Corbyn highlighted areas of public services still squeezed, and highlighted the impact on pay for teachers and the police. Confronted by questions like this, the PM rattles off figures and lapses into official-ese, constantly repeating the phrase “in respect of”.

This does not strike me as a very effective riposte – and although she eventually did get round to saying her government would not abandon fiscal responsibility, that phrasing was again a lapse into official jargon, rather than a fighting retort. The difference? Mr Corbyn’s questions could be (and doubtless were) slapped straight on to social media for the delectation of austerity-weary swing voters; the PM’s needed subtitles for those who don’t speak high formal Whitehall-ese.’

Was there any point in him writing the above? Just trying to sway things is he?

Laura Kassenburg’s tweet:

“Pretty effective attack from Jeremy Corbyn… on safe ground for him though” @bbclaurak on #pmqs questions about austerity #politicslive https://bbc.in/2CxXgG1

And what was the point of her opinion? Just trying to stir it up as usual?

Seriously I really am looking forward to the day the BBC closes down and I hope by that day we would have forgotten all about Jeremy Corbyn and the left!

There’s an advert on TV featuring (surprise surprise) a Muslim soldier who decides to stop in the middle of a war zone just so that he can get his table cloth out, kneel down and pray to some non-existent deity. The tag-line at the end is “This is belonging”; the inference being that anyone can join the army and will be tolerated.

However if you actually watch and listen carefully, you’ll hear what sounds like possible distant gunfire, and I’m thinking – This isn’t “belonging”, this is getting your colleagues needlessly killed.

I can’t help but say, this story on the missing and by many, presumed dead Saudi Arabian dissident Jamal Khashoggi is some story, https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-45817736 Maybe the next big story. I almost think there is a remote chance, the journalist could be ‘hoaxing’ it, you know, like that reporter in Ukraine a few months ago, Arkady Babchenko and they faked his death and then he came out. It certainly is an odd story. That’s my take, maybe he’s alive. Everyone seems to be pronouncing him dead and indeed, I do not hold the Saudis up as being something great. If countries are going to kill someone they don’t like and I certainly do not approve of this, have espionage agents act covertly and do it. Not where your Consul is under CCTV and satellite pictures can follow a lot of who goes in and who comes out. A lot of details have filtered out but one doesn’t know whether they are true or false. The guy’s cousin, Adnan was an arms trader (out of Saudi Arabia?). So who would they deal arms to? Anyway, Jamal Kashoggi looks personable enough. Okay, sorry for the dissertation.

That’s all. I have a new email so I’m hoping I can find a way to change it on this website. Thanks to all and thanks for this fine website.

I’ve never understood why I’m told that I have to embrace ‘diversity’. As any relationship has work both ways, why am I instructed to other peoples’ values when they don’t return the compliment? I was born a Briton, and while I’m English, I went to school in Wales, and also had a great job with a Scottish firm, but there was always mutual respect and give and take.

This diluting the Brtish bloodline with lots of foreigners is not to my liking. Yes, I’ll respect their privacy but they can damn well defer to mine at the same time, and no politician is ever going to change my mind. I’m not racist. I’ve been abroad a few times – never to Africa or Asia, and I don’t really see why I should have to cope with their problems – we have enough here after all!

Our stupid politicians squander shed-loads of foreign aid to undeserving countries, while oldies like me and my family are left in the lurch. This isn’t ‘diversity’, it’s foreign bribery, so why not let the multinationals who rake in the eye-watering profits from arms etc., foot the bill, while the bloke and his wife who’s been legal all his life and paid all the blasted taxes can retire at last and get a better final bit of life after 70 years?

‘Diversity’. The wet dream of every leftie who has never understood how to create and develop a culture by manual, techncal, and inventive prowess. Now large companies are being expected to include ‘ethnic’ policies to enable them to function ‘correctly’. My old economics tutor was very astute in his recommendation – back in the 60s – that everyone should become self-employed. I wish we’d all taken his advice more seriously! ‘Diversity’ back in his day meant a new by-pass around a village!

The bbc organisation is an absolute disgrace. They really do need to be broken up, with the TV tax abolished. If they think I care a tinker’s cuss about their opinions they can try and sell me something which I want. Why do I have to pay money I can’t afford but am ordered to with the threat of prison, to a bloated orgainsation which I dislike intensely, for an awful service only worthy of a third-world fleapit.

And will they compare black African to Indian or is it just white versus everyone else – will they compare British born black to recent immigrant? I am pretty sure if they compare Indian to Black there will be a huge difference in the NHS..I doubt they will though because the objective is to show how wicked White people are..

Ethnic Pay Gap

So let’s do a little thought experiment:

Suppose the UK suddenly has a humanitarian brainstorm and flies in 1.5 million Rohingya Muslims (apparently that might be a good idea in any case because all and any amount of inward migration is jolly good for the economy, right?)

Well then our new neighbours would make up roughly 2% of the UK population.

Tell me this, within a year or so, 2 of the CEOs of FTSE 100 companies ought to be Rohingyas (for gender equality let’s say one man and one woman) but should that quota for some unknown undefined reason not be met… that would definitely mean the UK was “racist”?

And if your answer is no, that would not mean the UK is racist – then please explain the point of measuring a supposed ethnic pay gap?

Anyway, i digress ..the next artical off we went to Leeeza Nazimbo at the London Film Festival.

A 5 minute piece of so on how this years festival has the most ever films directed by women , great AND they were celebrating how many of the films had STRONG FEMALE LEADS !! I mean really, who gives a toss if its a man, woman , dog or pig, if the films decent its decent. This constant need for the BBC to celebrate women being strong is tiresome. Nobody cares. At the end of the piece he mentioned the new laurel and hardy film for a few seconds, clearly done just for balance but it was too little too late.

Steady on! I’m not sure you can no longer refer to a, “pig” without the Stasi thought police investigating. Thinking about it, presumably that goes for the expression, “telling porkies”. What about, pork scratchings. The list could go on if I bothered. These could be words/expressions that put the Oxford English Dictionary into reverse: removing words from the dictionary rather than annually increasing the number. I’ll get the muslim Council of Great Britain on to it immediately although they have doubtless already prepared a draft list to submit to their handmaiden, Treezeer.

Hurricane Michael has hit north-west Florida, bringing winds of 125mph (200km/h) and flooding beach towns. The most powerful hurricane ever recorded in the area, it’s left almost half a million people without electricity, while one person has been killed by a falling tree.

Florida Governor Rick Scott warned of “unimaginable devastation”. Michael has already killed 13 people as it moved through Central America.

“We are catching some hell,” said Timothy Thomas, who stayed at home with his wife in Panama City Beach as the storm passed. Video footage shows the destruction.

Paul Royall is editor of BBC News at Ten. After joining the BBC in 1997 as part of the original News 24 team, he worked on BBC Breakfast before becoming editor of the distinctly different Six and Ten in 2012. Since then, he has overseen reporting of two general elections, the Scottish referendum, Brexit and the presidency of Donald Trump, and has responsibility for deciding the running order of the two programmes. In this in-depth interview, he answers the question he’s most asked – about the role of presenters behind the scenes, who writes the scripts, and what happens when things go wrong – and reveals how a trainee came up with the idea for a new BBC Three initiative to appeal to younger audiences.“

I’ll bet that trainee will be DG soon. Paul does look a bit hideously old, mind.

A lot of “people of ethnicity” are working class, although SE Asians and many from the Indian subcontinent would dispute that. But we all know how this is going to work, don’t we?

The ones the BBC is most concerned about are under-represented because of the social class they belong to and their modest educational achievements. Whites from the same background face exactly the same problems. The difference is, of course, that the black ones will get a helping hand but the white ones won’t. It’s been going on for years and explains why several surveys have reported that white, working class males are some of the lowest achieving in the population. Where is their “BAME”?

If this “problem” must be addressed, surely it would make sense to look at social class, not race. That would help all ethnicities caught in the same trap. But that wouldn’t produce the “right” result, would it?

BBC breakfast reports The Story of Shrouds Of The Somme
The idea for the artwork behind the shrouds, in which figures representing the dead are laid out in rows on the grass, came to Somerset artist Rob Heard in 2013 while he was recovering from a car crash
British servicemen killed on the Somme battlefields are represented by a 12 inch figure, wrapped and bound in a hand-stitched shroud and laid out individually in rows on the ground.
The initial 19,240 shrouded figures took Rob three years to craft. He has now begun creating an additional 60,000 shrouds so that each of the 72,396 British and Commonwealth servicemen
However look at the back screen. Once more they are pushing their political agenda.
2_C7_CB927-5_DEA-4121-85_A3-5993_D58_E3524.jpg

All of us are fully aware of the sacrifices made by the commonwealth forces, but in this instance they have portrayed Indians at the front of the backdrop.
As far as I am aware, only two Indian companies were involved at the Somme, (kept in reserve) with about 70 killed. Compared with the Canadian’s 24,000 killed wounded or missing and 400,000 British. If anyone more knowledgeable can confirm these figures.

Listening to John Major burbling on with his views about Brexit etc. I got to thinking about the state of news reporting on the BBC.
Their interview with this former PM was their lead item for a while today – tomorrow it could be Blair, Mandelson, Clegg, Geldof or someone else with no real basis for elevated status to be given a platform on which to share their world view.
The “five Ws” ought to provide the basic structure for sound, accurate news reporting – that is Who, What, Why, Where and When.
Stick to those five rules when compiling a story and you provide the reader, listener etc. with everything they need to know.
The BBC now seems to be using its own version of five Ws which is more like Who, What, Why, Why, Why.
They report who said or did something. The first two Ws.
They then explain why this is important. This may be a million miles from the experience or interest of the reader/listener/viewer.
They then quote someone else saying why whatever was said or done is either agreeable or disagreeable, which of course depends on their politics or agenda. This often gets more air time than the original statement or action.
They then bring in their own BBC expert to further explain why all this matters – and this reinforces the bias which is already apparent.
Which leaves the rest of us asking the same thing….why, why, why do you treat us like idiots?

Call it censorship if you like but I have asked for moderation in language here . If others object to me changing the capitals you put in for the C word then so be it .

I’ve always said that I would tell the person I’d removed something out of courtesy if nothing else . I’m not here to have battles about censorship but I have volunteered to keep the site going because of what I believe the bias of the BBC is having on our country .

I can’t engage in a dialogue because it’s beddy byes for me as I’m about 4 hours ahead of Blighty time . I just scan the site before then….

News breaking ‘some say’ that Mrs Chamberlain is going to sell us down the river.
Will the cabinet fall apart, will she resign?
A general election? Over to you Al Beeb’s Brexit researchers.
The ‘real peoples vote’ was for completely “in” or completely “out”.
We voted Out.

Driving home earlier I had Steve Wright BBC 2 on. He mentioned that Kanye West was invited to the White House today for lunch with the president. He then very smugly made suggestions as to what they would be eating . McDonald’s he said, fillet o fish , hamburger, he was almost laughing at this point. It really irked me at this point. It’s just the complete lack of respect for the president of the United States from anyone what so ever at the BBC. It stinks. Honestly, it flummoxes me daily as to why people hate him so much ?? I love the guy. All these nobody actors etc just have to be seen to dislike him. Racist they scream but he isn’t, he just isn’t. He has people of colour in very senior positions all over the shop. He has blacks in record employment, in fact the whole of the USA in record employment, Dow making new highs, business booming but most of all , all he wants to do is look after America and the American people and they just do not get that these leftards. Why ? I wish he was our prime minister, I really do. But all these London media bubble elite can do is snigger . Baffling !!!

Steve Wright is on £300,000.Nearly 40 years ago he was a great Radio 1 DJ…..today he is a PARODY of the characters he used to mock..’Mr.Angry’.’MrRockFM’ DJ etc….I cant say I blame him.We all have the RIGHT to switch off…but we should also stop paying for the BBC as Taxpayers/Licence fee payers…simples.I STILL think Tony Blackburn is a brilliant DJ!!!…but then I must be getting old?……

Steve Wright would do well to consider the statement that it is far better to say nothing and be regarded as an idiot than to open one’s mouth and prove it. He may also wish to consider identifying as a women in order to make his job safer when I’m sure he would have no problem finding something to wear befitting his personality. Personally, I think baggy, shabby and drab would fit the bill.

Another unhappy Beeboid who returns to his Linton Travel Lodge, much as Partridge did.
A sad and reduced old man, used to like him-but have to stick with early Tony Blackburn now. The last of the line.

I hear you. The snobby liberal elites can’t stand him because even though Trump is rich and famous, genuine people feel that they can relate to him.

Sneering at Trump because he might like burgers and ice cream only highlights how arrogant and condescending the people are trying to ridicule him with that type of attack. I like burgers and I like ice cream and I like those that aren’t afraid to admit it.

It’s like how the Beeb focused on the UN laughing at Trump but failed to notice the claps that followed immediately afterwards when the UN audience appreciated that Trump was capable of laughing at himself, something that these self important fools are incapable of doing.

How come the lefties were maoning about how much it cost us to look after Trump when he graced us in June?
If they could only control themselves and not threaten to kill him-it would have cost us much less.
That`s the Left for you.
Burn down the house then maon about how slow it was to call the fire brigade.
Not that the BBC would ever think like this. Blinkered dumbclucks.
