Start the Week Open Thread 29 October 2018

Budget Day .  The Far Left BBC will be talking Austerity and moaning about the pre brexit economy because of low unemployment , low interest rates and higher basic tax allowances .

It will  be a waste of time really because if we are lucky enough to get out of the EU without agreement the sums will all change .

The anti Trump propaganda will ratchet upon in front of the midterms next week .

All Souls is on Thursday

ISLAM: THE ECHR UPHOLDS ANTI-BLASPHEMY LAW
The BBC once defended itself from religious criticism stating (on sacking a BBC Employee) who was told to keep quiet and not express his opinion, as it conflicted with the BBC ‘ethics’ or ‘doctrines’. The BBC argued that it was a run like a ‘Church’ (Islam or Church of Marx one presumes) which could NOT be criticized by any BBC employee. With utter amazement (to me)- it was a few years ago 2007 I think) the BBC ‘won’ the (Employment case). So the BBC is indeed a religon to itself.

The ex BBC employee had simply expressed his concern that Islam is not at compatible with UK democracy. Being himslf African, he knew by personal experience that Islam is a totalitarian regime more akin to Marxism than Democracy.

The fact is that the EU provides the BBC with large amounts of money (millions) for the purpose of multi-racial integration. No matter the cost. The BBC itself has similarities with Islam (preferring under age sex with minors) is an unfortunate fact not discussed in public for fear of Blasphemy. And now that is to be legalised.

The ECHR (European Court of Human Rights) has decided that nobody (nobody at all) can criticize Islam in the EU (and that by extension must mean the UK also as we have no means of escape nor can we challenge EU rulings, we can only adopt them.

From now on, anything linked to Islam will become sacrosanct and formally adopted by the BBC even before this new ruling.

You can sign the petition against it. We shall still be legally bound and affected here (by the Courts) in the UK as we are not out of the ECHR grasp yet. And then we (UK) are still very friendly with the Saudi’s for direct sponsorships and arms dealings – no matter how offensive murder is, the BBC can be relied on to cover it up and put a positive spin on death.

You may want to read this… and worry about it. Its predictable that Europe will split into civil wars when the full atrocity across the regions are identical and obvious for reasons that can no longer be printed In newspapers critically or broadcasted critically. The BBC never has.

“The facts: In Austria, at a FPÖ conference entitled “Basic Knowledge of Islam”, the lecturer and head of the FPÖ was convicted for saying about Muhammad’s marriage to a six-year-old girl and of his sexual consummation at the age of 9: “What do we call it, if it is not paedophilia?” She wanted to warn about the practice of marriage of minors in Islam, following the example of Muhammad. While in 2012 she challenged this conviction before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), it confirmed the decision of the Austrian judges in a judgment released Thursday, 25 October. The ECLJ had intervened in this case to defend the applicant.”

SIGN THIS PETITION TO REVERSE THIS JUDGEMENT!

The BBC are in full ‘anti austerity’ mode today trying to pick apart the new budget announcements as much as possible.

At the moment the theme is schools. Not much extra funding apparently. Selected tweets are from those who oppose the new budgets of course and nothing in the positives.

Funny really as in the past few years a lot of schools have invested in new toilets, or ‘washroom refurbishments’ which cater for all children, and that is not just boys and girls but all others on the spectrum. That is right, unisex/ gender natural toilets have flooded our schools in recent years at a large expense just to cater that one in several thousand child who is not yet sure what gender they come under. No wonder the schools cannot afford new pencils!

Come on, BBC, I know that you are trying your hardest to put a spin on everything but there was actually once a time where you shared both views?

Be interesting to see how the bBC will cover the major gap being exposed between Scotland and the rest of the UK regarding the 40% tax rate………if nos are correct someone in Scotland earning £50k will have £6000 more of their salary exposed to 40%.

The bBC also didnt seem to pick a up a statistic that 150,000 personnel living in Brigadoon have never worked a day in their life…

I find BBC Ideas is often a good place to see what the future holds. Watch two schoolgirls dutifully regurgitate a spoon-fed script on gender issues in: “Are fairy tales sexist? A child’s eye view.”

They upend the fairy tale genre by creating Athena, a self-trained engineer who rescues a wimpy (likely gay) prince locked up in a tower. The whole setup absolutely reeks of state programming.

What the girls likely don’t know (and possibly won’t learn in school) is that Athena, the goddess of the ancient Greeks, is a fierce protector of the state, and a goddess of wisdom, reason and purity. And that in most spiritual paths, wisdom of the highest order — when it enters this world — often takes on a female persona (Sophia, Prajnaparamita, Shekinah, Shakti).

Of course, none of this has a place in British culture in 2018. Because our Marxist overlords have no understanding of culture and the power of myth and religion, ‘empowered’ women has become a proxy for an enfeebled obsession with drip-fed identity politics. The symbols of female empowerment in our age are not qualities of wisdom, love, protectiveness, divinity etc but Kim Kardashian and Sheryl Sandberg and Caitlin Moran and women’s football. All pushed along by the beeb’s endless social engineering.

    /end rant!

      “Are fairy tales sexist?”

It would be more interesting if the BBC showed how some of them are so relevant to contemporary society.

I’m thinking of the fairy stories where the ruler of the country decides to sacrifice some female children to the evil dragon in the hope that the dragon will spare the towns The dragon comes back for more and more sacrificial girls until finally a brave knight turns up to slay the dragon.

I don’t expect any of these fairy stories to feature on CBBC.

    Wow.
Required reading for all fans of this website.
    This week’s Radio Times, p 10.
Mark Lawson reviews the Radio 2 meltdown with presenter resignations driven by a politically correct management.
Now we all know this is part of the BBC’s diversity and equality narrative.
But in this article, Lawson not only agrees but provides the proof!
This being the BBC’s Ofcom licence.
Clause 1.36.2 requires the BBC to ‘rellect the diversity of the UK’ and. clause 1.37 requires them to ‘make demonstrable year on year progress’. The BBC also has to,produce an action plan every year to ‘reflect the full diversity of the whole of the UK’.
Personally, I don’t buy any argument that the BBC is just obeying orders. They are doing it with too much zeal. But even if the bias IS in part the fault of Ofcom, and/or the newly created ‘BBC Board’, it does not detract from the PC bias.
So what we have here is solid proof, from a very good source, that everything we say about the BBC on this site is in essence completely correct!

I think I’ll go and crack a bottle of something decent open.

Diversity is a false god anyway and replaces the individual with a badge of colour gender or – politely – orientation .

Personally if they play that game each person presenting a program would have a biog attached on how much they are worth …. school background – remainer/ brexiter – who sponsors them – that kind of stuff

I caught a snatch of Princess Nikki Campbell this morning. Only a bit, as I cannot stand his smug condescension.

It seems someone must have tweeted that he had not given any balance about “climate change”. He was delighted to be able to say that he didn’t have to: “climate change”, by which he means global warming caused by man made CO2, is now officially a “fact” on a par with evolution. It follows that anyone who doubts it is no better than some hillbilly redneck bible basher who believes the Earth began in 4004BC.

But Nikki is of course right in what he says: “climate change” is now official BBC orthodoxy, and cannot even be questioned. Because that is the essence of the scientific method. Well, it was in the 16th century Vatican, at any rate.

I have also noticed that, after the budget, the standard BBC attack line is to contrast £400 million for education against £420 million for pothole repairs. It happens in every interview, so cannot be a coincidence. Of course, the £400m for education is just an extra on top of the multi billion pound education budget, it is in no way comparable to the figure for repairing potholes, But the BBC is desperate for anything which can be used against the Conservatives, even a pathetic shower such as this government. It is therefore acceptable to give the impression that the Conservatives prefer cars to children.

Once again, the BBC show their left wing bias. It is an absolute feature, which they can never change. The whole organisation must be defunded.

It has been known that Man-Made Carbon-Dioxide Atmospheric warming has been “uniquely” regarded by the BBC as an “official BBC fact“ since 26th January 2006. This is what appeared in the Space Special Interest Group of Mensa in May 2011:

“Surprisingly the most blatantly biased statement by the BBC said that “Anthropogenic Global Warming is a fact”; the IPCC using an assumption says ‘likely’ and the BBC, which claims to be impartial, says ‘fact’. This also does not come from the Royal Society. This evidence proves that the BBC takes a more extremely biased view than the IPCC or the Royal Society and conflicts with the BBC Trusts claim that impartiality is important. This also now leaves open the possibility of legal action against the BBC Trust which has continually refused freedom of information requests for details of how this decision was made by what the BBC calls ‘the best scientific experts’. I suspect the decision was made by Environmentalists not by Atmospheric Physicists”

After the legal action failed, the names of those who told the BBC that “Anthropogenic Global Warming is a fact” where found on the Internet by Maurizio Morabito on 12th November 2012. The Scientific advisers that the BBC told its complainants, were ‘the best scientific experts’, were in fact a seminar made up of 28 Environmental Activists, without a single Causational or Attributional Climate Scientist present.

The establishment had to pack the Judiciary and the BBC Trust with left-wing middle-class environ-morons to try and hold back the shit, but the wayback machine foiled the Judiciary, and the BBC Trust was done away with. Now it’s OFCOM’s turn: Will it take the side of the Atmospheric Physicists and independent Meteorologists who have complained, or defend the Orwellian BBC and Greenpeace who insist that they know better than anyone else, including the IPCC and the Royal Society?

This proves that trust in science and scientists is not the fault of science or scientists, but the fault of the BBC and Greenpeace.

Relevant to the BBC in that it reflects on their own policy of saying nothing that would offend Muslims and labelling anyone who does criticise Islam as a Far-Right Fascist…hence of course we get Rotherham and Rochdale and Tommy Robinson….and have to say I disagree that this is not now a blasphemy ‘law’….the judgement is a law in effect…it will be used by other courts and governments to silence people on the subject of Islam…..

The ECtHR has not created a European blasphemy law but it has produced a lamentable judgment

‘By supporting Austria’s blasphemy law it has given succour to the world’s oppressors and done nothing for those oppressed. That is a very bad look for an international human rights court.’

    From the actual judgement….

The Austrian court’s reasoning…which seems unreasonable…the accused was stating fact and used it to explain the problems with Islam in Europe as Muhammed is the example of the perfect man for Muslims…..the final reason for the conviction was that although Muhammed had sex with a nine year old it wasn’t paedophilia because he then went on to keep sleeping with her after puberty…hmmm…seems a bit dodgy that thinking….

’14. The Regional Court found that the above statements essentially conveyed the message that Muhammad had had paedophilic tendencies. It stated that the applicant was referring to a marriage which Muhammad had concluded with Aisha, a six-year old, and consummated when she had been nine. The court found that by making the statements the applicant had suggested that Muhammad was not a worthy subject of worship. However, it also found that it could not be established that the applicant had intended to decry all Muslims. She was not suggesting that all Muslims were paedophiles, but was criticising the unreflecting imitation of a role model. According to the court, the common definition of paedophilia was a primary sexual interest in children who had not yet reached puberty. Because paedophilia was behaviour which was ostracised by society and outlawed, it was evident that the applicant’s statements were capable of causing indignation. The court concluded that the applicant had intended to wrongfully accuse Muhammad of having paedophilic tendencies. Even though criticising child marriages was justifiable, she had accused a subject of religious worship of having a primary sexual interest in children’s bodies, which she had deduced from his marriage with a child, disregarding the notion that the marriage had continued until the Prophet’s death, when Aisha had already turned eighteen and had therefore passed the age of puberty. ‘

    The ECHR’s basic reasoning….

’42. The Court reiterates the fundamental principles underlying its judgments relating to Article 10 as set out, for example, in Handyside v. the United Kingdom (7 December 1976, Series A no. 24), and in Fressoz and Roire v. France ([GC], no. 29183/95, § 45, ECHR 1999-I). Freedom of expression constitutes one of the essential foundations of a democratic society and one of the basic conditions for its progress and for each individual’s self-fulfilment. Subject to paragraph 2 of Article 10, it is applicable not only to “information” or “ideas” that are favourably received or regarded as inoffensive or as a matter of indifference, but also to those that offend, shock or disturb. The Court further notes that there is little scope under Article 10 § 2 of the Convention for restrictions on political speech or on debate on questions of public interest (see Baka v. Hungary [GC], no. 20261/12, § 159, ECHR 2016, and Satakunnan Markkinapörssi Oy and Satamedia Oy v. Finland [GC], no. 931/13, § 167, ECHR 2017 (extracts)). Those who choose to exercise the freedom to manifest their religion under Article 9 of the Convention, irrespective of whether they do so as members of a religious majority or a minority, therefore cannot expect to be exempt from criticism. They must tolerate and accept the denial by others of their religious beliefs and even the propagation by others of doctrines hostile to their faith (see Otto-Preminger-Institut, § 47; İ.A. v. Turkey, § 28; and Aydın Tatlav, § 27, all cited above).

    43. As paragraph 2 of Article 10 recognises, however, the exercise of the freedom of expression carries with it duties and responsibilities. Amongst them, in the context of religious beliefs, is the general requirement to ensure the peaceful enjoyment of the rights guaranteed under Article 9 to the holders of such beliefs including a duty to avoid as far as possible an expression that is, in regard to objects of veneration, gratuitously offensive to others and profane (see Sekmadienis Ltd. v. Lithuania, no. 69317/14, § 74, 30 January 2018, with further references). Where such expressions go beyond the limits of a critical denial of other people’s religious beliefs and are likely to incite religious intolerance, for example in the event of an improper or even abusive attack on an object of religious veneration, a State may legitimately consider them to be incompatible with respect for the freedom of thought, conscience and religion and take proportionate restrictive measures (see for example, mutatis mutandis, Otto‑Preminger‑Institut, § 47, and İ.A. v. Turkey, § 29, both cited above). In addition, expressions that seek to spread, incite or justify hatred based on intolerance, including religious intolerance, do not enjoy the protection afforded by Article 10 of the Convention (see, mutatis mutandis, Gündüz, cited above, § 51).’

I have just now Stewy – oim flattered Guv!, stupid thing was it was only half a dozen posts above my post – duh!
I post less on here these days because I have less to say- I try not to listen to R4 at all if I can help it, it really has just turned into nothing more than a Cultural Marxist propaganda channel. It doesnt even try to hide its bias, as I said they are attempting to change reality to fit their agenda.

          bastards!

At least they can start wasting their energies trying to get us to rejoin the ReichEU together with other beeboids . I wonder if there will be pressure for a referendum to rejoin again ….

I just hope when we do leave we stay away from the problems of the ReichEU an encourage other brave nations to leave too.

StewGreen (and others) can anyone check when the following story may have first appeared.

headline: “Wakefield sex abuse imam Mohammed Ghani’s jail term increased

The article suggests it is four hours old (at moment) – so is likely to have first appeared at around 5.30 pm today (Oct 30). I spotted it on the BBC England news page about 30 minutes ago occupying the least significant story position – and has since been removed. It is on the regional Leeds & W Yorkshire webpage.

BBC 2018-10-30 Technology. BBC Headline “Android’s under-5s apps have ‘unfair and deceptive’ ads”

“More than 20 groups have called on US regulators to launch an official probe. A UK charity has also urged action. The calls were prompted following a report by the University of Michigan’s Medical School into the phenomenon.”

Reports the BBC, apparently concerned about Google, and belatedly about Apple, having deleterious effects on children in the West.
A subject that concerns me greatly.

No introspection by the BBC whatsoever. The leading organisation in manipulating UK children of all ages (including pseudo-adult Labour voters), is of course the Leninist BBC.

Not the bBBC but illustrative of their typical brainwashing of a lot of people..did anyone hear that idiot Mathew Wright on Talk Radio at around 2:40pm today?
He had Yasmin Alibhai Brown on and was taking phone calls regarding her remarks about the Leicester City chairman who lost his life in the helicopter crash.
There was an American guy on the phone (didn’t catch his name) talking about the “caravan” full of immigrants heading for the US border. He was talking about the 5000 armed troops Trump has sent in response.
I could not believe Mathew Wright comments on the lines of ‘what if the Native American Indians would have had automatic weapons when the Americans invaded their country?’
He was basically justifying illegal immigration into America because the nasty Americans illegally invaded it originally!

Protests as Trump visits scene of massacre

Hundreds of demonstrators chanted slogans against Donald Trump as he visited a synagogue in Pittsburgh where 11 people were killed by a gunman. One protest organiser said the president wasn’t welcome in Pittsburgh until he denounced white nationalism.

Mr Trump, who has condemned anti-Semitism, was joined by his wife Melania, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, who is Jewish, and his daughter Ivanka, who converted to Judaism when she married Mr Kushner.
Saturday’s massacre was the worst anti-Semitic attack in US history – read about the victims here.

        ***

‘Hundreds’ of protestors, and one ‘protest organiser’. Good enough for the bbc to maintain the healing process in that unique way they have.

A no lose for the national disgrace; imagine if Trump had not attended to pay respects?

So refreshing and full of positivity, with good humour, common sense, and panellists largely respecting the will of the people. Crikey, the panel might have even reflected the Leave majority in the country which may be a broadcasting first!
As I say, certainly not the BBC……
