Weekend Open Thread 21 December 2018

The Christian tradition of Christmas must cause great angst to the Far Left BBC . Concentrating on the secular will be the remedy as well as being ‘inclusive ‘ and ‘diverse

I will not have our police mocked. They are admired throughout the world for their rainbow-painted nails; their dancing and grinding skills at multi-cultural festivals; their zero-tolerance to those holding views to the right of the bbc; and their implacable pursuit of imaginary hate crime.
So what if they don’t actually catch criminals or prevent drones? That’s not their job. Crime prevention is so passé.

Of all people – Lord David Dimbleby PLC – is editor of Toady . So he interviews a failed politician Viscount George £ Osborne .

We should be grateful to Osborne for unwittingly engineering brexit .

Osborne ran Project Fear during the Referendum and was so out of touch with us that he didn’t realise we’d rebell against his vile political class if given the chance

None of the smugness has gone from Viscount George – a character trait he shares with Dimbleby – the BBC made flesh .

The interview was confirming of the swamp – the bubble . I’m sure they went off to their club after their chat.

“Some people know more than us”

So says Tessa Dunlop (History: St Hilda’s, Oxford) as the BBC Breakfast newspaper review guest this morning. Our Tessa delivers a veritable tour de force of on-message BBC agenda from the red sofa. Cringing gurning token bloke Chris Mason & the feisty femme host set our Tessa off but she sails through the papers like a BBC pro ticking every approved narrative box.

“Amber Rudd for PM” we are told – just in case there’s a vacancy, mind you. Of course she’s an “arch-Remainer” but she has apparently declared “gender war” on the over-touchy after-lunchy Juncker and the stupid woman muttering Corbyn. So it’s all good and our Amber’s photo in the papers today is very Prime Ministerial agrees stupid boy Chris Mason (well, how could he disagree?)

Then there’s Donald Trump to bash. The wall is supported by his far right support we are told. Seems the very idea of a border is practically fascist these days.

Some NHS nanny state gal has been gently mocked in the Mail & so our Tessa leaps to the defence of the experts who know more than us. And here come the hard right again…. they are to blame for a fall in take up of vacination. Half of Italy has the measels and that’s due to the right. Hmmm…. not due to a huge migrant influx? I’ll take your word for it Tess – afterall, you as part of the expert elite probably know more than us plebs.

      As,

I’m not too familiar with Tessa Dunlop but a quick search reveals she met her Romanian future husband while teaching English in his native country. She was 19, he was 12. Nothing inappropriate suggested but she thought enough of him to arrange a scholarship for him to her old school, the private Strathallan in Perthshire, after he attended the English classes she taught while doing humanity work/ improving her cv in her efforts to get into Oxford at the second attempt.

I’m sorry I can’t link to the 2012 Daily Fail article but it’s worth a look, if only to confirm everything you imply about her and more. She might know history, or a version of it, but I wouldn’t value her opinion on any thing happening now.

David Dimbleby. being interviewed by Humphries on Today just now reacts angrily when told he was ‘posh’. “I’m not posh. I’m just an ordinary chap!” (or words to that effect.)
Really David? Father was Richard Dimbleby, one of the pillars of the BBC; educated at Eton (remember JRM’s retort on Question Time?) and Oxbridge. Nepotism, totally out of the question! Being left wing and chairing Question Time, a programme that hosts a biased panel and audience that share your views; what an outrageous suggestion!

Desperately trying to find a video of ‘Dave’ Dimbleby and his brother driving a car in the south of France when they were teenagers, Fed. No luck so far but I was amazed when I came across this letter from Guido’s ‘Order Order’ site…

“A long time ago, but probably in the late 90’s I came across a black and white TV sequence of Richard Dimbleby and his wife touring the south of France in an open topped car in the early 50s. So avante guard for post war Britain. Dimble senior was being interviewed by a BBC type who sounded so Cholmondley-Warner.
The interviewer then turned to the Dimble junior brothers, David and Jonathan, and asked them how they were enjoying their trip.
David sounded so posh he could out posh the Queen with his high pitched, cut glass accent and was certainly streets ahead of JRM.
Poor man obviously felt it necessary in later years to try and adopt a more estuary type of accent.
Unfortunately the BBC decided to remove the film from the archives.”
The BBC removed the film from their archive!
Never mind. I’m listening to Radio 4 Extra now. The BBC is eulogizing the late comedian Rik Mayall. Rik didn’t reciprocate this outpouring of love when he was still alive…

On Sky (sorry not Albeeb), a report on the invention of a recycled coffee cup – clearly a non news day; and the comments from the interviewer how he cannot start or get through the day without umpteen coffees. This got me thinking, how did we get to the point where this generation cannot walk a few steps without carrying a drink ?
It started with the water bottle accessory, and now they’re all hugging a polystyrene cup with a baby feeder lid ! I’m interested how many on here do this, and why its necessary.

Not so long ago we Brits used to laugh at the Americans and their addiction to coffee and refills, – yes we drank tea and perhaps were jealous of the ‘refill’ culture, but coffee as the first drink of the day ? never.

Now drinking hot drinks ‘on the go’, and slurping direct from a bottle/tin can/carton be it water or beer, is the norm. Its really not surprising that there’s a recycling crisis. What’s wrong with drinking from a ceramic mug once you get to work ?

Mark Kermode’s films of the year, on BBC breakfast this morning – yet another example of the prevalent bias so many are sick to death of.
Discussing ‘First Man’, the moon landing movie, Kermode couldn’t resist sneering at Trump (how original!) for quite reasonably criticising the film’s omission of the US flag being planted. Amidst the usual obsessions with gender identity issues, there was yet another Halloween movie (I like the John Carpenter original but how many damn remakes and sequels do we need of this?) recommended for apparently being all about female empowerment!
Most films featured looked tediously typical of Hollywood dross, superheroes and remakes and sequels and ‘worthy’ subject matter etc etc, added to the underlying pushing of the BBC agenda so it certainly didn’t encourage me to watch most of the films reviewed.

A telling moment on Question of Sport last night that made me smile. I don’t watch the programme as it’s glory days are far behind it and only caught this passing through, but you would think that professional plonker Matt Dawson would be pretty clued up on who’s who in the world of sport, more so than most as it’s his job.

When he and his team members, one male, one female, were doing the identity round he missed three. One of them was a foreign athlete or rugby player I think and they can be excused for not knowing who he was, but the other two were household names. According to the bBBC anyway.

Despite the clue being an “England international and League and Cup double winner” Matt and his colleagues hadn’t a clue who Chelsea Ladies football “star” Fran Kirby was. They also didn’t know who Helen Housby was. You know, Helen Housby, who scored the winning point for the England Netball team in what The Greatest Sporting Moment of the Year featuring The Team of the Year at some recent bBBC high-profile, in-house awards ceremony.

I fear the indoctrination isn’t quite going to plan bBBC, there appear to be some beeboids in need of further reprogramming/ enlightenment.

One programme that I do regularly watch on the BBC is University Challenge and I am frequently astonished at the breadth and depth of knowledge of some young people. I know it’s a tiny group but they do know an awful lot of stuff, but of course they probably are still snowflakes with the typical idiotic value set. But I’ve noticed that in the past few years the questions have become increasingly PC with lots of questions about black writers, or obscure women scientists , or Indian geography. Pleasingly the students don’t get many of these questions correct.
There is also a ‘celeb ‘ series , many of the celebs being Beeboids or leftist activists. It is amazing how ignorant they are. They know sod all about sod all which may well be why they are on the left.

  14. fakenewswatcher says:

I was looking at Anne Marie Waters’ contribution on SA and anti-white feelings in the UK and Europe, a day or two ago on this site. Had another look at Lauren Southern’s stuff on SA, as well.
Compared that to Fergal Keane’s report on R4 on SA this week, on ‘racism’ in that country. Fergal was subtle, as usual. Subtle like a sledgehammer.
Fergal’s conclusion -that black and white should and can work together in SA- I have no problem with. In fact, thumbs up.
However, he started his piece off with two incidents of ‘white gangs’ attacking ‘inoccent’ blacks, and beating them up. Victims were interviewed to garner their feelings. A little Keanean scene-setter, so to speak.
There was also a bit about the ANC land grab, and Fergal trotted out those familiar – but deceptive figures, which ignore -for instance- that more than half the country is desert or semi-desert. And that government owns vast tracts of arable land that could easily be allocated to black farmers, if that was really the issue.
If Fergal’s ‘racist’ incidents actually took place, they are deplorable, and the local police will hopefully be dealing with them. However, the point was that, by now, Fergal had painted the picture of ‘racism’ he wanted to create. He went on to briefly speak to a white farmer’s wife who had seen her husband executed by armed blacks. I assume that Fergal would not have seen that as a ‘racist’ incident.
That was presumably included to show how impartial and balanced the beeb are: they’ve given both sides, admittedly with different placement and time allocation…. And nothing, but nothing about the many beatings and torture of whites.

The message from all these people and incidents is that we are looking at a numbers game. That explains why there is such enthusiasm to flood Europe with ‘migrants’, bringing in ever more numbers from Africa and the Middle East. That’s why the beeb conveys the deceptive message in its pictures that Britain is probably only slightly more than 50% white anyway. It is a front-runner in the ‘multicultural/diversity for Europe and the UK’ propaganda.
The rest is not difficult to work out. And Anne Marie is right: whites in the UK and Europe need to wake up urgently, before they themselves end up being a minority in their own country.
There is a strong anti-white sentiment afoot, disguised as all sorts of things from ‘decolonisation’ to ‘anti-slavery’.
The strategy is to inculcate feelings of guilt, and suggest restitution. It is important not to fall for this.
And useful to study such topics a slavery in some depths. When you examine its history, the picture suddenly changes very markedly from the one that is being peddled by the ‘liberals’.

True – I think the only thing that the victims were guilty was the “crime” of naivety. If one young woman is saved from a similair fate by being more aware of these medievel savages that are out there, then maybe a little criticism of their naivety is justified.

No period of mourning will ever draw the sting of this untimely and savage death from the parents of these wickedly murdered women, but at least highlghting the circumstances of their brutal murders now – will make it less easy for the likes of the BBC and the Gaurdian to flush this story away down the memory hole.

Of course some people can never be helped like the parents of Maria Ladenburger who after being raped and drowned by an “asylum seeker” from Afghanistan. At the funeral her parents requested that instead of flowers donations were to be given to a refugee charity.

Our daughters (for all the best intentions) are vulnerable until we all start to wise up. They need to wake up fast, because the way things are going. We in the West we will be entertaining many more “guests” some whom will have a similair outlook on our young women, as these “gentlemen” from morocco had.

True – I think many of these people have spent much of their working lives being spoon fed this poisonous, progressive slop from school right through into adulthood (and in the case of Ladenburger I think her father may have been some sort of EU official).
Assuming that they have also bought their kids up with the same naive attitudes – I suppose once one of their kids is murdered they have a choice.
1 Admit they were wrong and therefore they are partly culpable in their childs death.
                or
2 Blame someone/something else or put it all down to an “unfortunate incident” – no blame all around.

I suppose option 2 enables you to live more at peace with yourself – however wrong and self deluding it may be and of course plays nicely into the Government/MSM narrative.

If you can induce guilt in whitey and make him feel he owes you, you’re halfway there. If you can get him to loathe himself, three quarters.
In the olden days he realized that guilt is due to individual sin, and his religion taught him how -as an individual- to obtain absolution. (This was apart from any punishment society might decide to impose) He couldn’t loathe himself, as the same religion also taught him of his individual worth.

That religion is largely gone now, and has been replaced by a narrative of collective guilt. How can you obtain absolution? Hand it over man, your property and ultimately -yourself. And many societies’ leaders encourage the feeling of collective guilt, often because it suits their purposes (of control). Those same leaders will often move effortlessly from one top job to another, while all the time inducing guilt and signalling their own virtue.

Brainwashing can do that to you…

And the really guilty are the brainwashers.

I am largely with Last Chance on this..but I wouldn’t particularly want to see any of these youngsters get killed though, they may one day wake up and realise how the world really is. Eg rape and murder is a bit more important than worrying about aircraft emissions.

But a country can only survive so many fools (young and old) and traitors. Until the left are ruthlessly purged from their stranglehold on education – and everywhere else to be honest – we’ll continue to produce what are effectively adult babies.

Personally I don’t want them having a say in how the country is run, and I don’t want to live with them – their naivete is dangerous. You can say it isn’t their fault they have the beliefs they do, but that was no consolation to soldiers who died fighting units of the Hitler Youth in WWII.

Maybe we could conscript thousands of them into a VSO or Peace Corps type organisation. Then send them off for a year to whatever s**thole country of their choice to do agricultural work. It might re-educate some. Maybe not all of them will come back.

If the UK somehow turns away from its ever-leftward drift we’ll have to disenfranchise (some of) the under 40’s for a generation until they’re successfully unbrainwashed.

eg If at a Tommy rally a guy reacts to provocation by doing a “JOKE” nazi salute, guess what photo out of 10,000 people is going to make the paper.

Hence the attempts to reveal the address of TR ‘s family and the constant revelations of his real name, all originally designed to damage his family. Then the singling out of Rees Mogg’s children by deranged anarchists of Class War. There is a pattern.

Roll up, roll up… whites still have upper hand in South Africa claims BBC…. as it lists numerous examples of whites lording it up over innocent blacks. For example…

“Last February a 22-year-old black athlete, Thabang Mosiako, was walking with some friends in Potchefstroom when he saw a shop assistant being insulted by a group of young white men.”

In true BBC style, these anecdotal stories are more important than statistics showing rape has risen, life expectancy has plummeted, and unemployment and poverty has increased since apartheid ended (unfortunately)… all these issues are the fault of whites we are told.

The BBC of course does the same in the UK with Islam… where stories of people tugging on a hijab makes front page news as a hate crime, while hundreds of thousands of rapes if English children in places like Rotherham are hidden.

I am starting to think that the BBC blames white people for everything… next they will be openly discriminating against hiring white people… but i’m sure that would never happen?!?

I often wonder if all those stories about Harry Potter stopped kids gawping at mobile phones, and started to become literate. When the BBC used to do a good book prog, all those years ago, we had decent writers often reading their own stuff. Now it’s all pc nonsense, and very boring.

J.K.Rowling’s stories about Cormoran Strike were quite good, but not really up to the standards of Da Silva, Hewson or Billingham. Still any fantasy these days may be down to the Potter stuff, none of which I’ve read, but there’s enough fantasy going on in politics to make me wander off and do a bit of gardening…

Why do journalists go along with the ‘deep state’…?
      Good question.
      ‘…while saying it’s for “democracy”…’
At this point I feel it important to note ‘democracy’ has become a hollow phrase; for ‘Western’ journalists, arguably ‘diversity’, ‘tolerance’, ‘openness’ (whatever any of these may mean) etc have become more important than ‘democracy’. More important even, than the ‘Rule of Law’.
There is now a ‘narrative’ about Russia, just as there is a ‘narrative’ about South Africa or Israel. 95% of what western journalists have to say about these nations is almost valueless, as the ‘narrative’ has long ago eliminated the evidence/facts.
So the narrative about Russia is how it hacks the ‘West’, just as the story about South africa is about how race still defines virtue. etc etc
