Free speech is under threat over Islamophobia
\\ The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on British Muslims has produced a well-intentioned but worrisome definition of Islamophobia. It states: “Islamophobia is rooted in racism and is a type of racism that targets expressions of Muslimness or perceived Muslimness”.
There are two big problems with this definition. First, while Islamophobia can be an expression of racism, it is not in itself racist because neither Islam nor Muslims are a race.
Islam is an idea and Muslims include people from many races. Second, this definition has implications for free speech.
Like all ideas Islam should be open to scrutiny and criticism.
Yet very often all critiques of Islam are denounced as an attack on Muslim people.
This is unfair. In a free society, it is perfectly valid to criticise the idea of Islam.
What is not acceptable is to be prejudiced against Muslim people and consequently to victimise them. I try to avoid the term Islamophobia. Anti-Muslim hatred is much better, since it focuses on prejudice against Muslim people and their life chances. ..
From personal experience, I know how the smear of Islamophobia is used to silence debate and critics. In 1994, I protested against the Islamist extremist group Hizb ut-Tahrir. It had endorsed the killing of LGBT people, women who have sex outside of marriage and Muslims who turn away from their faith. I was denounced as Islamophobic. //

Sisi bans officials from talking to ‘misleading BBC’
March 26 The Times
SIS An Egyptian media watchdog has ordered a boycott of the BBC for its “politicised and misleading” coverage of political dissent.
SIS accused the broadcaster of fronting a campaign led by the Muslim Brotherhood, whose government was overthrown in a military coup led by President Sisi in 2013.
The SIS pointed out that the broadcaster had included videos of two pro-Brotherhood TV presenters based in Turkey alongside footage of protests.
The watchdog claimed that the authenticity of the videos had not been verified, and labelled the report inaccurate and biased. It summoned the BBC’s Cairo bureau chief and demanded an apology from the network. Egypt’s top media regulator, the Supreme Media Council, also recommended taking legal action against the BBC and a fine of £11,000.
This is not the first time that the SIS has criticised the BBC. Last year the broadcaster came under fire for a video report on disappearances in Egypt. A mother interviewed for the programme accused the Egyptian authorities of kidnapping her daughter. After the report she was jailed for spreading false news and the daughter appeared on local television saying that she had run away. The BBC stood by its report.
Human Rights Watch has estimated that at least 230 people have disappeared at the hands of the Egyptian authorities in the 12 months to August last year. //

\\ Egypt’s State Information Service (SIS) issued a statement on Sunday accusing the British Broadcasting Cooperation (BBC) of “promoting the lies of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group” in an article published on the BBC’s Arabic-language website.
BBC Arabic published a report on an anti-Sisi hashtag — “Don’t worry, you’re not alone” — which called for demonstrations against the president.
In the statement, the SIS stated that the report “breaches the most basic codes of conduct… fabricating events that never took place.”
It urged “all officials and Egyptian intellectuals” to boycott the BBC until the broadcast apologizes.
The statement slammed the article’s use of pro-Muslim Brotherhood videos which had not been verified by the BBC, and for not including any statements from Egyptian officials.
“This violates universal professional codes of conduct, as the BBC’s Cairo office with its dozens of correspondents nationwide should have tried to actually investigate whether the content of these videos were authentic,” the SIS stated.
“The BBC’s failure to take this necessary step before publishing the article seems intentional in order to legitimise the allegations of media outlets affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood — a terrorist organisation.”
“It seems the Brotherhood are the only ones who witnessed [these protests] and the BBC is the only accredited foreign media outlet that has promoted them,” the statement added. //

Hustlers and people with little understanding want us to believe that today’s black problems are the continuing result of a legacy of slavery, poverty and racial discrimination. The fact is that most of the social pathology seen in poor black neighborhoods is entirely new in black history. Let’s look at some of it.
Today the overwhelming majority of black children are raised in single female-headed families. As early as the 1880s, three-quarters of black families were two-parent. In 1925 New York City, 85 percent of black families were two-parent. One study of 19th-century slave families found that in up to three-fourths of the families, all the children had the same mother and father.
Today’s black illegitimacy rate of nearly 75 percent is also entirely new. In 1940, black illegitimacy stood at 14 percent. It had risen to 25 percent by 1965, when Daniel Patrick Moynihan wrote “The Negro Family: The Case for National Action” and was widely condemned as a racist. By 1980, the black illegitimacy rate had more than doubled, to 56 percent, and it has been growing since. Both during slavery and as late as 1920, a teenage girl raising a child without a man present was rare among blacks.
Much of today’s pathology seen among many blacks is an outgrowth of the welfare state that has made self-destructive behavior less costly for the individual. Having children without the benefit of marriage is less burdensome if the mother receives housing subsidies, welfare payments and food stamps. Plus, the social stigma associated with unwed motherhood has vanished. Female-headed households, whether black or white, are a ticket for dependency and all of its associated problems. Ignored in all discussions is the fact that the poverty rate among black married couples has been in single digits since 1994.
According to the 2011 Census, London was 45% White British…I assume it’s less than that by now 🙁
A rephrase: the plethora of vicious bastards murdering people in London on a daily basis, tha vast majority black, is not seen as a race issue, which it undoubtedly is due to a variety of reasons such as absent fathers, love of violent role models (black gang culture including their “music”) , welfare dependence etc, etc, yet a black chocolate duck becomes a racial news story which it undoubtedly is not.
I was explaining to my wife about the boy scout movement yesterday and the fun we used to have camping etc learning various skills in the 70s and it occurred to me can you imagine any of this lot above even contemplating joining such a movement ? (despite having plenty of tools available to whittle some twigs)

I see on Fox that the battle of the Deep State in the US has taken a significant turn for the better. Today a whole host of information showing that there definitely was a failed coup attempted by the Deep State to firstly , make sure Clinton was elected by smearing candidate Trump , and then to remove him from office once he was elected. What’s more the Attormey General has pledged that he will hold a wide ranging investigation into it , starting from the summer of 2016. This is almost certain to end up with a host of top ex Obama officials facing jail and at the very least Obama’s image being severely tarnished. It’s a massive blow against the Deep State and the swamp.
As significant as the prosecutions will be the realisation by millions of Americans , perhaps tens of millions, that they have been deliberately and systematically lied to by the MSM for the past three years.This will be tremendous news for the re-election of the President in 2020 as Americans will no longer view his achievements through a veil of lies and innuendo.
The battle raging in the US is one of the fronts , perhaps the key one, in the world wide war of the People vThe Globalists, Brexit and Immigration being two other significant fronts. The Globalists use control of the MSM as a key weapon in this war, the BBC being a perfect example. It will be a great victory if the American people realise that they were being played by the MSM and turn against it , doubting everything that appears on CNN, NBC, in the NYT and WP etc. The Globalists will find that one of their key weapons has been neutralised. Hopefully ,with the example of Brexit to relate to , the same will happen here opposite the BBC, Times , Ch4 , Sky etc. Anyone who reads the Guardian should be sectioned anyway so it doesn’t count.
