Martha Kearney on Toady this morning interviewed some Labour union trot.
She was…ahem…very polite.
She asked a question then remained totally silent with no interruptions until the union man had finished.
How very nice and friendly. We look forward to a similar approach at the Tory conference.
You can be right wing without being a complete moron. Greta has been groomed to have the views she has. Don’t blame her – Blame her parents and those who have pushed her forward. Get a grip!
I normally switch over as soon as I hear the theme to the One Show, but stuck in a project I’ve had to listen to the adolescent chunterings of some reporter informing us of the history of Thomas Cook. This is a diabolical programme. I am considered to have the intelligence of a 12 year old, being spoken to by 12 year old ‘reporters’.
Where DO they get these youngsters from ? who have no personality, simpering in their delivery, asking puerile questions, and are all ‘yeahs’ and ‘absolutelys’. Clearly not the Joan Bakewells or Robin Days of the future.

The Tyneside girl’s case involved 13 Kurdish “much older men”

She was 12 at the start
The case collapsed cos the police failed to use the official notebooks

On the media the police said they had apologised
The victim said this was not true
later they released her address

The CPS refused to answer questions as to why it has passed victim statements to the defence without first cleansing them of address info
The CPS lawyer involved just retired.
THe police mistakes are being investigated by THE SAME police.
Looks like the Labour Party can’t count….Or maybe they can, but like Premier League football managers going down 2:1, the losers obviously don’t know the difference between winning or losing. Obviously it’s all the refs fault…So, vote again, and again, and again, until the result is in your favour? (Sound familiar??) Non-binary vote anyone? Although, to be fair, it did look a tad disorganized. Can you imagine if they were to form the next government?
This video is an Australian member of Parliament speaking at a gathering in Canada but it’s just as relevant for us here in the UK. It’s 21 minutes long but worth the time because for once someone in authority is speaking openly about the UN agenda 21 and the plans these evil bastards worldwide have in store for us all:
In other words, the plan is to move wealth and resources from the efficient West to the inefficient Third World, under the pretext of environmental concerns. (China of course will not take a blind bit of notice and power ahead. Pun intended.)
And as with every single socialist and communist experiment, the result will not be greater justice but greater poverty for all, except for the plutocrats, oligarchs and technocrats at the top.
Oh God, it was excruciating!
I’m just seen young Greta’s climate change speech on Sky and my toes have curled almost inside out.
The poor exploited kid was clearly close to a complete meltdown…no pun intended.
“You have stolen my dreams” she told world leaders. “People are dying.” She was so distressed she sounded breathless. She really did look ill.
I think this is the moment poor Greta was seen to “jump the shark”.
It was so OTT, she was close to hysterics. I genuinely felt for her.
It’s a disgrace the way these green Nazis have made use of this poor autistic kid and shameful the way our politicians and media have gone along with this nonsense.
“I shouldn’t be here” she continued, “I should be back at school.”
Yes Greta, something we agree on.
Out of the mouths of babes…
Where do Greta’s speechwriters get their inspiration from.
Perhaps I am being a little harsh, but I can see great similarities with this..
Quote……. The purpose of Nazi propaganda was not to brainwash ordinary Germans, and it was not intended to deceive the masses even though it did enable the movement to gain new recruits. The principal objective, according to historian Neil Gregor, was “to absorb the individual into a mass of like-minded people, and the purpose of the ‘suggestion’ was not to deceive but to articulate that which the crowd already believed.
Also… The sophisticated. Nazi theorist and proponent of propaganda Walther Schulze-Wechsungen wrote:
“Many a one laughed at the propaganda of the NSDAP [National Socialist German Workers’ Party] in the past from a position of superiority. It is true that we had only one thing to say, and we yelled and screamed and propagandized it again and again with a stubbornness that drove the ‘wise’ to desperation. We proclaimed it with such simplicity that they thought it absurd and almost childish. They did not understand that repetition is the precursor to success and simplicity is the key to the emotional and mental world of the masses. We wanted to appeal to the intuitive world of the great masses, not the understanding of the intellectuals.
Even her body language has similarities with with Hitler during his speeches at the nazi rallies. I won’t post any of them due to bad taste, but check it out..
davy, not sure how good a historian Neil Gregor is on the evidence of that. He surely cannot have forgotten the Hitler-Jugend, the Hitler Youth, similar to Woodcraft Folk. I am no historian but am aware of that approach of the Left to grab the children while young and indoctrinate them.
“It is true that we had only one thing to say, and we yelled and screamed and propagandized it again and again with a stubbornness that drove the ‘wise’ to desperation. We proclaimed it with such simplicity that they thought it absurd and almost childish.”
Shouldn’t the authorities be intervening to protect vulnerable Greta from child exploitation and abuse.
Oops forgot. The Left are always ready to turn a blind eye when it suits them in order to prioritise their favoured principles.
As certain young female residents of Rotherham and elsewhere know only too well.
Probably because it’s GOOD news, which unfortunately doesn’t fit into the BBC’s mantra of running down the country and the economy? When was the last time you ever saw any positive news on the BBC?
I expect it would be different if the words ‘Trump’, ‘BREXIT’ or ‘despite of’ were in the original copy! According to the BBC, sterling never falls, it slides, the FTSE never falls it crashes etc etc etc.
Now the bbc draft the deranged Swedish goblin into their endless anti-Trump campaign.
They post a video of her expression of disgust as she sees Trump. And in case you didn’t get the message, they freeze it and replay it. And in case you still don’t get it they throw in the caption: ‘She doesn’t appear too pleased.’ And in case you still don’t get it, they repeat: She didn’t seem too thrilled when she saw President Trump…
Oh how we laughed in the editing room, wink wink, nudge nudge.
The camera shots seem suspiciously convenient. Was it a set up? I can almost hear her minders briefing her: Now Greta, when you see the nasty big bogeyman remember to look disgusted, and the camera over there will catch you both in frame, ok? Ready, and action!
Vlad,
How much longer do you think it will be before a small army of them come to your home to take you away for ‘re-training’ or maybe even something worse………….
I’ts becoming sure as hell this burden of being a hideously white male (and old) extreme right winger.
Just watching Emily Maitlis on newshite at the Labour Party conference.
She’s ‘interviewing’ three Labour members. But I swear if you didn’t know who Maitlis was, you’d swear it was four Labour members just having a cosy chat.
She’s gone a whole programme without interrupting anyone.
I wonder what will happen at the Tory conference.
Here’s the mystery: we know the beeb hate the Tories. We know they hate much of Labour, i.e. those that voted Leave. They despise the Brexit Party, UKIP and Farage’s followers.
So who on earth still pays the extortion tax, and WHY?
vlad
“So who on earth still pays the extortion tax, and WHY?”
Many of the readers and posters on here I am afraid. They are afraid, but if we all strike they do not have the resources to chase us all.
Be like taffman …….stop paying the tax that robs from the poor to give to the rich.
We can win !
I’ve just completed my sixth year of not paying the tax.
Because I don’t want the bother of constant letters from crapita, I call them every two years to tell them I still don’t need a licence and they leave me alone for two years.
There’s nothing to fear.
By cancelling my TV licence and Sky subscription I’m better off by about five hundred pounds each year. I get Amazon prime as a Christmas present each year and watch YouTube for free. I know that the ITV, etc catch-up channels are also free but I don’t use them even though I can without needing to pay the racist far-left bbc protection money.
Amazing. I pay Sky £76 per month, £135 (is it?) for TV licence and BT Sport is included in a BT bill of about £300 to £350 per quarter. Am I certifiable?
Amazing. I pay Sky £76 per month, £135 (is it?) for TV licence and BT Sport is included in a BT bill of about £300 to £350 per quarter. Am I certifiable?
I do wonder vlad. I really do wonder if the BBC staff get an exemption, its probable. But they need the money desperate they are, will do almost anything….
BBC ruined my career, says woman awarded £130,000
In her lawsuit, she said the BBC failed to meet its equal pay obligation and accused it of constructive dismissal, harassment and discrimination.
Ms Barlow worked as the former head of product in the corporation’s design and engineering division.
She said she was forced to resign because of the BBC’s ‘discriminatory nature and a hostile work environment’.
According to the BBC, the difference in pay was because of ‘non-gender’ reasons. Curious that when their are (according to the BBC over a 100 genders hidden away somewhere for children but only two genders at the BBC it seems) – for now at least.
It also claimed that her work was NOT of equal value to the male heads. She was paid £9,000 less than the men who are (one presumes) are dressed to impress the same BBC management and ‘they are worth it’ as they say on the Shampoo adverts.. Shame really, I really think all woman should be paid the same (even If they work less) and then Men should only work on alternate days to allow the ‘other’ BBC sexes (all one hundred+) take turns in dressing up and being nasty to each other and everyone else. And then they can get paid more because they are ‘special’ victims and unemployable anywhere else.
Still BBC pay is rather good at £130,000 for anyone outside the BBC. An extra £9,000 I suppose sounds reasonable in BBC novelty sexual toys department. Stick another tenner on the TV tax.
Children—notably Nordic white girls with braids and red cheeks—were often used in Nazi propaganda. An old Goebbels technique! Looks like today’s progressive Left is still learning its game from an earlier Left in the 1930s pic.twitter.com/E4q2KZ526s
– https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science_and_environment is supposed to be page which is supposed to be about SCIENCE news
.. but the BBC has turned into a GreenDream activism page with dozens of Updates
eg – Greenpeace put giant banner up in Leicester Square
eg2 – Mothers stage climate change protest”
“Mothers Rise Up, a campaign group calling for more action to be taken to prevent climate change, has taken their protest to Downing Street.”
Well here’s a surprise: Pakistan has a huge problem of paedophilia, child abuse and child murder.
“Child advocates say Pakistan has a serious problem with child abuse, with child protection watchdog Sahil reporting more than 3,800 cases of sexual abuse and violence against children cases in 2018.”
“Child abuse is a huge, huge challenge, not just in Kasur, but these cases are coming in a lot and are being reported in Punjab on a daily basis,” said Sarah Ahmad, chairperson of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau for Punjab…
That’s 3,800 REPORTED cases, the real number being much higher given the intense culture of secrecy around the subject and the huge pressure on victims and families not to report such crimes, under pain of death. (She allowed herself to be raped – stone the little whore!)
Reuters are running with the story but al bibeera, meh, not so much thanks. Actually not at all. Well, they weren’t even interested when it was happening in UK (still is), why should they care about Pakistan?
3 men and one youth jailed
I expect unjailed older men were the instigators
Parizian Calin, 20, Sebastian Baltatu, 18, and Adrian Calin, 20, all pleaded not guilty. They received 13 years, three years and 12 months respectfully.
Baltatu = Romanian surname
Parizian = Muslim name
Calin = Irish surname
The best essay about climate change and how horrific it is for the poor , how leaders of everything don’t do enough , how selfish ordinary people are , why we should obey the enlightened and listen to disturbed children will win a day with Greta .
Pug
The other big issue about experts is the ignorance of previous judgements. The body is put onto TV or radio . The name and organisation is announced – sometimes with a very brief description such as ‘ a think tank ‘ then off they go.
Their ‘ expertness’ isn’t challenged – there is seldom an opposing or contrary view in the same room – or if there is the interviewer ‘ handles’ the speaker against whom they are prejudiced by either interruption – hostile challenges – reduced air time .
The editorial decision about choosing who goes on air is obviously key to achieving the ‘ distortion ‘ the State Broadcaster producer / editor wants
and this is beyond questioning .
Unless the listener / viewer is savvy to what is going on they are not going to be properly informed .
This won’t change any time soon on the State Broadcaster – why should it ? There is no external pressure apart from alleged viewing figures – which can be disregarded because of the assured tax income .
I won’t discuss Gove because as far as I’m concerned he is just another bubble dweller – but if he and his friends get us out of the EU withoutva sell out they can stick up a statue for him .
We are now told by the bbbc that ‘experts’ are maintaining being a lard-bucket, sorry bucket-lard, has nothing to do with what you eat and everything to do with your deprived community. Fat shaming does not help!
One way to alleviate the pain is to use better description apparently. I quote from the bbbc report:
‘It calls for changes in language to reduce stigma, such as saying “a person with obesity” rather than an “obese person”.
So it will now make all the difference please if you would refrain from calling someone a ‘fat wobble-bottom’ and instead refer to them as a ‘person of bottom wobble fat’. Thank you.
“Obesity is not a choice” says the article. Funny that. So people don’t choose to be obese. They certainly don’t choose to be homosexual. Or black. Or disabled. It’s all down to genetics or other factors over which they have absolutely no control. And because they have no control over it, they are more deserving of tolerance and understanding and sympathy (and which is largely non-contentious to most people). And yet here’s the odd thing: a 6 1/2 foot, muscled, bearded man can instantly become a woman simply by declaring that he is one. So, you can choose to change your gender but you can’t choose to stop stuffing your face with fried chicken, double cheeseburgers, pizzas, kebabs and all the other crap. Some people may have genetic or medical conditions that cause them to put on weight, but the glorification of obesity by the BBC is obscene. Both because it is setting up future health problems for individuals and because we live in a world where hundreds of millions go hungry.
Had an unusual experience with BBC Radio 4 yesterday. Our internet was down for a few hours, so I listened to R4 in the background whilst working.
I wasn’t even listening – just in the background. After about 20 minutes, I felt extremely unhappy and couldn’t understand the reason until I realised it was R4 winding up my sub-conscious. Had to go for a walk to clear my head.
I really miss the BBC. I used to love listening to R4 when working.
Dazzer – as they say -I’m sorry for your loss . I’ve stopped referring to the State broadcaster by its letters because it is a lie . It’s not British – in fact often I think it is hostile to its own former country and the majority who still pay for it .
I listen to it as much out of duty as anything else . The state broadcasters’ political Party – labour – is having excellent internal fights which the broadcaster seems unable to suppress – presumably because the same leftist battles are going on within it – hopefully .
Brandishing before their audience their blatant lack of self-awareness BBC on-line publishes on the same page as their lionisation of Saint Greta Thunberg this story cobbled together by some twitter-trawling clickbait-itching millennial so-called journo: ‘Are teen influencers being exploited?’
Here are few choice quotes:
‘US social media star Danielle Cohn has nearly four million followers on Instagram and 1.4 million on YouTube. She’s also one of TikTok’s biggest stars, with more than 13 million fans.’
‘She is managed by her mother. But is this a good line of work for a teenager?’
The BBC quotes some bod from an ‘influencer agency’ (?)
‘… said he didn’t think young teenagers were capable of making such a huge decision about creating a specific identity that would follow them into adult life.’
‘”I believe that often it’s an older relative or family member who has realised there is the opportunity to make some money in the short term and puts together a social strategy to grab the attention of the media,” he said.’
‘You’re 13, stop it. Have a childhood while you can,” wrote one below a video uploaded on Sunday.’
Asiseeit
I haven’t heard which this child says but saw the footage of her facial response at the U.N. as President Trump wandered past . She looked like she’d been smacked in the face .
One can only wonder how such mass hysteria can raise a child to such insane fame . But on the upside at least she’s not French
The green madness just carries on – a proposal to increase taxes on ‘ frequent fliers ‘ well that will hit the state broadcaster hard and goes against the globalism the MSM wants . Travel broadens the mind so let’s tax it more .
Thankfully the Americans made sure there is no tax on av gas so the UK can’t tax it upto the hilt like petrol and diesel ( I hope I’m right on this ).
When this all goes horribly wrong for that poor girl the media will have some very tough questions to answer. Sadly, they are in the ideal position to ensure no one asks.
The phrase “chewing a wasp” was what came to my mind. I think the usual suspects are now getting worked up about Trump’s tweet which is clearly a reference to how the girl has been manipulated.
She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see! https://t.co/1tQG6QcVKO
A speach full of leftist hate bile anger and rhetoric and empty of any actual facts to support any of it.
Don’t forget Thurnberg hails from the failing leftist state of Sweden where brainwashing of children is a normalised state of affairs, and where the other side of the argument is never heard.
Someone needs to expose this fraud for what she is, but there’s precious little chance of that with todays far left biased MSM.
A few questions such as why she wrongly believes CO2 is an important greenhouse gas
we should be far more critical of herd thinking than we currently are
we all need to be far more sceptical of what we are told and more willing to challenge the consensus
This is basic common sense from Matthew Goodwin and you don’t need to be a ‘professor of politics’ to know it.
The trouble is in order to possess this ‘skill’ one also needs to be capable of self-criticism – an ability woefully lacking in the usual suspects and talking heads.

TOADY Watch #1 – Vanishes like a morning mist on a sunny day
Ladies Day at TOADY although our beeloved BeeBeeboid Martha is still in exile in beeBrighton. Cannot remember who did the anti-beeBrexit interview with the ‘spacemen’. Their first name began with M.
Think it was Martha but it could have been Mishal. No questions about Global Warming or Climate Change for the spacemen and their satellites. I think someone mentioned that in New Zealand, three satellites are launched every week.* No mention of Global Warming and Climate Change and tough questions about that.
Previously on TOADY, Rob Sport mentioned World Cups and Olympics but there was no question whether the world can afford such luxuries during the so-called ‘Climate Emergency’ caused by AGW.
You can bet your sweet beebippy that Rebecca Old beeBailey will pay for her endless coastal windfarms with lots of tax rises if Labour ever make it into Government. Only £83 beebillion required.** No questions asked by the beeBeeboid, again. The cost of wind-generated electricity is falling according to beeBailey
Inconvenient questions vanish like a mist …. . . . .
Save the bees? I have say on the evidence of this the BBC cannot be trusted to ask the questions we want answered. The ‘hive mind’ appears to become suddenly, amazingly, empty when the opportunities present.
* I take that with a pinch of salt, anyway, a bit like the claims that the Chinese build a new coal fired power station every month.
** The UK political Parties are scattering taxpayer money around like confetti at present. It cannot all be coming from the £350m per week on the side of the beeBus.
I still wonder what labour had done with the coal mines if they’d been kept open – all thar lovely carbon just waiting to hear things up nicely .
Do you notice that ‘the people’s this’ and the people’s that ‘ is in vogue at the moment . Really does feel a bit Stalinist but since we have an unelected unrepresentative shadow government of 500 career expenses claimers much more can be expected . ..
Kinda chilling, Fed, as you say redolent of turn of the century Russia … ‘the people’.
In a way, I sort of might be relaxed about a future Labour Government as I would be largely untouched by the taxes – too poor and an apprentice Pensioner – while my Schadenfreude dial would spend its time pinging off the RedZone stop as I watched a combo car crash and train wreck of an extreme Socialist Government. I would also be in several queues at once rattling my tin mug for handouts for this, that and t’other.
However, the damage to the UK economy would be so severe that it would lead to serious unrest. If the unprecedented growth and all the handouts of the Blair/Brown years produced riots in 2011, imagine what a period of prolonged real hardship would do to those who had believed Corbyn & McDonnell.
Up2
I’m not much of a tax payer either any more but I really really have paid my share and more .
This is not State Broadcaster related but it’s a NHS story . Being a self identifying chap I’m a bit concerned about Prostate cancer – my late brother had a big dose of it . So last year I got a psa blood test . But I think I need one every six months . So I rang my GP and asked for one . No. Not until next year – and it’s meant to be every three years she said .
I don’t use the NHS -no tablets -nothing . But I asked for this and it was refused . I asked the GP if she would do it privately ? No. So now I will scratch up £50 or more for a private blood test .
So the next time you hear a big campaign about ‘self care’ and the brilliant NHS – it’s not .
As an aside the Guardian did a piece at the weekend about my local hospital Whips Cross – which has been crap for decades . It was the one Boris visited last week . Same health trust . I might write to my MP – before he is replaced by a Corbyn clone …
Up2,
Re: Toady. Did you hear the interview between the Bee Goddess and two ‘persons’ (there, I’m getting ‘with it’!) of an unknown sex but sounding distinctly male about the European Space Agency of which we are a major contributor? Try as the busy-bee might to constantly steer the interview toward an admission that Brexit will cause mayhem withing the ESA, she couldn’t. Indeed, one of the interviewees who sounded German, explained that ESA is not connected to the EU and it operates independently by agreement between its members. Clearly crestfallen, the busy-bee concluded the interview leaving (any) listeners in no doubt that she had failed – miserably – and in the process, had shown a total lack of knowledge about ESA.
Starmer is “disappointed” that Labour will continue to postpone its decision on how the party will campaign until after a general election and a new Brexit deal has been negotiated with Brussels.
Don’t worry Keir, that lucrative job with the ECJ stll looks within reach!
The planned referendum will be between Remain and Remain (posing as Leave) and, just to make sure the correct Remain options wins, Starmer is intending that the voting age will be lowered and foreign nationals included.
Kier Starmer tells politico that Labour’s second referendum would lower the voting age to 16 and look at including foreign nationals in the franchise too.
Well we all know why this young girl was invited to attend the Climate Change meeting in New York-her controllers not satisfied with causing such ignorance on the matter of the present suggested change in our climate, however the main reason points towards the massive fortunes to made from instigating all the proposed new technology that will be thrown at the matter. Perhaps these people including all youngsters should be reminded that, the Earth’s orbit is not a perfect circle, and so there are times spanning thousands of years) when the earth is nearer the sun, and warmer, and other times when it is further away from the sun, consequently colder. The cycles last around 100,000 years. Earth is at present enjoying the time when earth is nearer the sun and so warmer. the tilt of the earth’s axis varies, on a 41,000 year cycle, affecting the degree of difference between the seasons. Adding Climate-change ‘sceptics’ have made great mileage out of the current hiatus in observed global warming. Atmospheric temperatures have not really increased since the turn of the 21st Century, a fact frequently cited as incompatible with, or even disproving, global warming. These same commentators draw a discreet veil over the fact that temperatures also didn’t rise between 1940 and 1970 – an inconvenient truth for them, since that pause was followed by 30 years of rapid warming.
However, the truth is that a long‐term rising temperature trend, steepening with time, has lifted average global temperatures by around 0.9° C since the early 20th Century. This long‐term trend correlates closely with the rise in atmospheric CO2 and with its expected greenhouse warming effects. But anthropogenic emissions are not the only game in town, and that is why the observed temperature variation is more complex.
The basic picture of long‐term warming is in fact characterised by thirty‐year ‘ramps’ (where temperatures rise relatively quickly), alternating with thirty‐year ‘flats’, where temperatures either fall slightly, or remain roughly constant. The latest ‘flat’ commenced around the year 2000.
Geologists think of the last 50 million years as the recent past, both because they represents only about one percent of the age of the earth, and because plate tectonics, the geologic process that controls conditions within the solid part of the earth, has operated without major change during that time period. This is the time period that is most relevant to gaining insights about earth’s climate that can be applied to the present-day global warming debate. The geological record of ancient climate is excellent. Ancient temperatures can be determined very precisely, because the composition of the shells of corals and other marine organisms varies measurably with it. Furthermore, the plants and animals that lived during a given time and are now preserved as fossils indicate whether the climate was wet or dry. The overall climatic trend has been cooling, from an unusually warm period, called the Eocene Optimum, 55-45 million years ago, to an unusually cool period, colloquially called the Ice Age, which ended just 20,000 years ago. The overall range in temperature was enormous, about 35°F. The earth was so warm during the Eocene Optimum that Antarctica was ice-free; ice caps did not start to form there until about 35 million years ago. Palm trees grew at high latitudes and cold-blooded animals, such as crocodiles, lived in the Arctic. Perhaps the alamists should contemplate such information that, clearly scuppers much of what they evidently presently think or are being led to think by the big financiers.
And you don’t have to have a permanent address as well. This means that people conducting council tax fraud can get away with it and still vote.
Im still waiting to see how many of those unfortunate souls killed in Grenfell where the legal residents of the properties destroyed. But I suppose im being racists in the eyes of the left.
Since most of the ownership of our energy industry is in foreign hands, has Dave considered, in his infinite BBC wisdom, what the consequences would be? The EU(Germany) would not be happy bunnies and would find a way of blocking it. China would start a trade war leaving us back in the 70s going cap in hand to the IMF with the stock market at an all time low. Or maybe that is the plan so we can compete with Venezuela and Zimbabwe.
Isn’t the interviewer Faisal Islam, who ticks every box which is
possible for a political news job at the BBC( except being a woman) ?
He now works for the BBC I believe.
The suicide bomber who killed 22 people at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester last year had been rescued from the Libyan civil war by the Royal Navy. Business Secretary Andrea Leadsom on climate activist Greta Thunberg: "She shows the most amazing guts. She's speaking for so many people, young and old. I found what she was saying very compelling."@JuliaHB1 | @AndreaLeadsompic.twitter.com/UpMwe52Y6B
I agree with everything that has been said about Greta Thunberg. The poor, fragile and susceptible child has been fed a diet of doom by irresponsible adults and is then given the platform to repeat these fantasies of Armageddon to even more gullible adults. They gaze in admiration, they hang on her every, rehearsed word and prostrate themselves before her. In doing so, they reinforce her irrational fears and she becomes more crazed. Her latest speech is the most demented yet. It borders on madness. One can joke about the girl, but adults have a responsibility to protect vulnerable children. The climate activists, the media, the politicians, everyone who is in the circus that surrounds her, are failing in their basic duty to do just this.
From the first time I saw her I have said what 16 year old wears plaits and a face scrubbed of make up, they are young women at that age. I am convinced she has been thoroughly brainwashed inside and out.
Cromwell,
She might be taking her own Government’s advice and not offering a ‘made-up’ female persona to help protect herself from the islamic savages occupying her country.
This is of course yet another in the continuing saga of the Electoral Services Comission making false allegations, or instituting false and undair penalties on leave supporters.
Normally we would expect the head of the electoral services comission to be sacked, but not with the cowardly useless incompetent Tories in power.
Labour is not a cowardly party, and if such goings on had dipleased them you can bet they would have the individuals head on a platter.
In my opinion the Tory party is rotten to the core, as we are now seeing with Borises shenanigans being dredged up. The slavish devotion to the products of the rotten school means the party can never progress back into being a true conservative party, and we sorely need a new one to replace it.
There we have the ‘Joan of Arc of Climate Change’ Greta telling how we have all been so evil at ignoring the IPCC’s rhetoric of impending doom. If only we would start walking everywhere and eating raw food we could cut our ‘carbon footprint’ to zero.
When Extinction Rebellion held a protest in Manchester recently they had a Music stage. In order to power the stage they used a Diesel Generator as a Solar Panel would have been too expensive. If they had used a solar panel they would have still needed a diesel generator as backup.
But fear not ER will chain all those nasty Brexiteers to the treadmills in order to produce ‘green energy’ so they can continue to enjoy the lifestyles they have come to expect!
Hale: no explanation before the court of why it was necessary to suspend parliament for five weeks. We are bound to conclude that the decision was unlawful.
I’m gonna get Fedup with popcorn at this rate . Watching the BBC worldwide – the faces are – grave – and Grieve looked like
He’d just won the lottery .
Ah well, democracy is finished.
The courts now say when parliament can and cannot sit. Will they also decide what bills can or cannot be discussed as well.
Remainder Broadcasting Company, will become the official opposition.
A very sad day.
Just listening to Lady Hale via R4 TWatO, she specifically linked ‘people’ to ‘Parliament’. I just wonder whether the unanimous ruling and the words used (important that) actually opens a way open to a legal challenge from the ‘people’ if ‘Parliament’ does not deliver a full Brexit on 31 October 2019. Hopefully, Martin Howe and the team at Lawyers for Britain will crawl all over that ruling because it now sets a legal precedent. I am grasping at a straw there but I think it exists.
All is not yet lost. The gloom has deepened but it has done that before.
There’s no doubt Bojo bungled. His timing appears to have been way off. He should have foreseen the possible legal challenges. Dominic Cummings credibility is now very much under question.
The big unknown is whether those two really checked out all the legal implications with some first rate legal advice. I have an uncomfortable feeling that they did not and in Bojo’s usual manner it was done on a sudden whim.
It could be that the PM is doing what Theresa May could and should have done on 28th or 29th March: resign. That would have ensured that the UK would have left the EU on 29th at 11p.m..
vesnadog, indeed, they have effectively negated the previous PM’s giveaway of control over our armed forces. There may be more unintended consequences of this action by Miller & Major.
It will be absolutely essential for Leave voters to vote in future General Elections because the Supreme Court has effectively endorsed the enfranchisement of the UK Electorate. If we stuff Parliament with Brexiteers after Boris has bungled Brexit* there is no reason why the issue cannot be re-visited.
There is an equal danger now of the opposite also happening and a Parliament of Remainers taking us back into the EU.
It will be absolutely vital for Parliament to be filled with conservative patriots, not EUrophiles. So get campaigning folks. Get voting. UK Parliament rules! Who says? HM’s Supreme Court says, that’s who.

O brave new world.

Taken from. https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2017/03/how-nazi-propaganda-encouraged-the-masses-to-co-produce-a-false-reality.html

Her parents chose to fill that egg scramble of a brain with inaccuracy, fear and loathing.
Her parents allowed her to bunk off and sit alone with a photographer outside.

A few questions such as why she wrongly believes CO2 is an important greenhouse gas
https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn11652-climate-myths-carbon-dioxide-isnt-the-most-important-greenhouse-gas/
Why she thinks most scientists support her view when they don’t, and why anyone who fails to toe the line loses their career?
I wonder if she is even vaguely aware of the arguments of the other side in this debate – somehow I doubt it.

we should be far more critical of herd thinking than we currently are
we all need to be far more sceptical of what we are told and more willing to challenge the consensus

I’d prefer not to go there.

Why not simplify the whole process and have a toss of a coin using the heads I win tails you lose principle. Far more honest and cheaper.

To use Greta Thunberg in this way is surely ‘child abuse’ by adults who should know better!

National Crime Agency clears Leave.EU and Arron Banks after finding ‘no evidence that any criminal offences have been committed’
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7497853/National-Crime-Agency-clears-Leave-EU-Arron-Banks.html

Anne, I’m not so sure.
