On politics live I must have heard several times “people on the doorstep are telling me” or something similar.
Has anyone on here ever had a knock on their door by their politician out canvassing for an election.
It would be interesting to hear what was said but my feelings are that nobody will have had the visit.

    Also.
They were talking about the £58billion for the wasps wimmin.
Paid for by taxing the top 5% “just a little bit more”
    It got me thinking.

Labour will land a man on the moon within 5 years at a cost of £200billion. (Grieve hopefully)
Paid for by taxing the top 5% “just a little bit more”

Labour will give every person in the UK a weekly payment of £250 at a cost of £50billion each year.
Paid for by taxing the top 5% “just a little bit more”

Labour will double the NHS budget.
Paid for by taxing the top 5% “just a little bit more”

Free gas, water and electricity for all supplied from windmills, waves and sunshine at a cost of £150billion.
Paid for by taxing the top 5% “just a little bit more”

Everything for everybody will be free, food, fags, booze, cars, the lot.
Paid for by taxing the top 5% “just a little bit more”

    Free unicorns for all.
Paid for by taxing the top 5% “just a little bit more”

Add anything you want to the list.
Paid for by taxing the top 5% “just a little bit more”

So, there it is, fully costed and all paid for.

Bravo EG – another one of those cover all’s for anything a politician of any type claims – “ people on the doorstep have been telling me ….” it would take a brave Comrade Corbyn disciple to knock on any door in my area …..probably because people get up early in the morning and go to work ….

And as for these ‘victims ‘ of equality who happen to be wimmin – what about me ? I thought I’d get a pension at 65 … now it’s pushed back to 68? – by the time I get there it will probably be 70- maybe I should find someone to blame . ?

They appear to be leafleting like a Halifax over Berlin.

So far our house has had one flyer, from the Greens, that says nothing beyond ‘Hope’, ‘Change’ and ‘We are all going to die’ and… nothing else.

I am beginning to think the excitement around this election extends to some very odd people in Westminster, W1A, Salford, the butt end of twitter and… nowhere else.

The BBC News at Six –

“The young lorry driver was the first person to be arrested and, today, here at the Old Bailey, he admitted being part of a conspiracy to smuggle people into Britain. The discovery of 39 dead people from Vietnam in the back of a lorry in Essex led to a huge international investigation into a suspected people-smuggling gang”

This is in contrast to the BBC online article –

“A lorry driver who is accused over the deaths of 39 migrants in Essex has admitted plotting to assist illegal immigration…As well as the manslaughter charges, Mr Robinson is accused of conspiracy to commit human trafficking offences and transferring criminal property.”

Is the BBC is trying to influence opinion?

Why and who was involved in the violence?

“BBC Films, which was involved in the venture, also defended it.”

    https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/blue-story-star-city-rapman-17310122

“BBC Films defended its product, saying Blue Story is an “important film”, which aims to show the “futility of gang violence”. A spokesperson for BBC Films said: “We are appalled by the incident at Star City and our thoughts are with all those affected by it. Blue Story is an outstanding, critically acclaimed debut feature which powerfully depicts the futility of gang violence. It’s an important film from one of the UK’s most exciting new filmmakers which we’re proud to be part of.”

      Blue Story “critically acclaimed?”
As in Simon Hooper’s review for AnyGoodFilms.com who adds:
“Claims that grime music is responsible for deaths in the black youth community might seem risible and frankly if that (sic) were any truth in that then the conservative government would probably be funding it. . .” Yeah, OK mate.
Personally I’m not in favour of blaming films for causing violence. Anybody remember gang movies The Warriors, Colors or even Quadrophenia? The same accusations were levelled at those movies and they were made by actual film makers, not some dim rapper. No, the responsibility lies with the little turds who arm themselves and go looking for trouble, and them alone.

The BBC has been giving the ‘gangsta’ film Blue Story and surrounding violence a lot of coverage….coverage that seems designed to downplay any associated violence and to divert blame to the police and cinema chain who both over-reacted…the impression given that it was the police causing the vioence with a massive presence, aggressiveness and randomly tasering and terrifying innocent teens just there to watch Frozen.

    Here’s a BBC write-up…

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-50543213

There’s one crucial bit of information missing….’Blue Story’ is a BBC film…

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfilms/film/Blue_Story

So much like the BBC programme ‘Three Girls’, which the police and judges said was the catalyst for the attack on Finsbury mosque goers but the BBC infamously tried to blame Tommy Robinson and failed to mention its part in events the BBC is again trying to dodge any blame if there is any to be had.

It it had been a Sky or C4 film you could be pretty sure the BBC would be asking them questions and asking the execs in for an interview.

    Pictures about the cast.
    Pictures about the cinema customers.
There was not a single white person.
Yet this ‘significant under-representation’ and glaringly obvious ethnicity component to the story yielded not a single mention in the BBC report.
The usual disgraceful BBC whitewash when one of its favourite agendas hits the buffers.

This means that in their view as Israel is a majority Jewish state the Jews of this country are in some way to be so closely identified with Israel as to be treated in the same way. BDS against Israel and othering the Jewish population of this country.

Incidentally I’ve noticed it’s increasingly difficult to find a list of such towns online. A Google search produces more and more articles by leftish / liberal publications muddying the waters and many challenging the very notion of muslim grooming gangs, or whose main concern is of the danger of far-right groups.

Justin Webb just gets better and better…working for the untouchable BBC, an organisation that like the Monarchy seems ‘beyond reproach’, perhaps Webb is the BBC’s Mr Neversweat, Prince Andrew.

Yesterday he was gently quizzing a Labour rep. on their massive freebie to Waspi women…a £58 billion giveaway….and the BBC whinges about the Government ‘bribing’ the DUP with £1 bn [thought that went to the NI administration not the DUP itself].

Labour’s answer was that this is a one off and so doesn’t have to be on the books as spending, lol, and anyway it’s morally the correct thing to do…they’re putting right a wrong inflicted upon these women.

And here we get Justin’s little faux pas as he suggested the same principle might be applied elesewhere..for example…other wrongs such as welfare cuts.

So now it’s pretty clear, if it wasn’t before, just where the BBC’s finest stand on welfare cuts….they are wrong and indefensible, immoral and probably due for a bit of judicial oversight…maybe he could have a little chat with Lady Hale when she comes in to edit the programme.

But old Justin didn’t stop there, he went much, much further and dug the biggest hole possible as he actually stated that the President of the USA is a Russian agent completely ignoring the vast, indepth and complex investigation by Mueller tht said he wasn’t.

He was interviewing two people who have written a book about Trump and the dodgy dossier…I missed their introduction and so wasn’t sure who they were exactly but they definitely weren’t Trump fans.

So Trump is a Russian agent and we were also told that there is a ‘conspiracy of silence’ about Russian interference in our democratic process [such as it is with a Remain dictatorship hijacking proceedings]….not quite sure where that silence is…there seems to be a hell of a lot of noise about the intelligence report that the BBC and Remainers are so desperate to have published…despite Boris clearly hinting there is nothing in it…and Buzzfeed report, completely ignored by the BBC[maybe there’s that conspiracy of silence] that said there was no significant Russian interference [there is always some…after all the unions were Soviet fronts and Corbyn was known as Agent Cobb…how has everyone forgotten Burgess and McClean etc?].

But just who were these two authors of the Trump hatchet piece?

Oh what?!!!…turns out they run the company that produced the dodgy dossier that turned out to be a complete lie…and which Mueller dismissed…and despite Mueller saying there was no evidence that Trump conspired in any way with the Russians we have Justin Webb stating that he did and that he is a Russian agent as he chats to two people who have a whole lot of investment in trying to promote that idea and to cover up the fact that the dossier they produced, for the Democratic party, was so much trash.

Let’s remember…the BBC has spent 3 years telling us the dossier proves the Russians were helping Trump get elected…this is a dossier that claimed Trump was compromised by the Russians and that they could blackmail him at will….er…but where did that information come from?

That information came from the Russian intelligence service itself!…..so just how is that helping Trrump in anyway whatsoever?

Here’s the US ‘BBC’, the NPR, telling us the Russians fed us the info…

‘So where did it come from?

Seven Russian sources told British specialist Christopher Steele the hotel anecdote, write Glenn Simpson and Peter Fritsch in their new book, Crime in Progress: Inside the Steele Dossier and the Fusion GPS Investigation of Donald Trump.’

Here’s the BBC’s own Paul Wood writing in The Spectator telling us the info came from the FSB[the renamed infamous KGB]….

‘Claims about a Russian blackmail tape were made in one of a series of reports written by a former British intelligence agent. As a member of MI6, he had been posted to the UK’s embassy in Moscow and now runs a consultancy giving advice on doing business in Russia. He spoke to a number of his old contacts in the FSB, the successor to the KGB, paying some of them for information.

Back in August, a retired spy told me he had been informed of its existence by “the head of an East European intelligence agency”.

One Russian specialist told me that Vladimir Putin himself sometimes says there is kompromat on him – though perhaps he is joking. The specialist went on to tell me that FSB officers are prone to boasting about having tapes on public figures, and to be careful of any statements they might make. A former CIA officer told me he had spoken by phone to a serving FSB officer who talked about the tapes. He concluded: “It’s hoakey as hell.” ‘

Er…so the information came from serving Russian intelligence officers and the BBC thinks that is a credible source and applauds as the Democrats try to remove the President on the basis of this ‘hoakey as hell’ information?

Is it not in fact the BBC and the Demcorats who are working in league with the Russians? The Russians want to disrupt and destabilise the US political system and were not supporting either Clinton or Trump and that is what US intelligence acknowledged before they allowed themselves to be dragged into the anti-Trump circus.

And what do we have? Total chaos and an impeachment process…Putin must be laughing not least as he watches us in the UK and his useful idiots here at the Guardian, in the BBC and in Parliament all working together to wreck Brexit and destroy trust in our political system.

That that is so was even acknowledged in the impeachment proceedings recently…not reported by the BBC of course…

‘Former National Security Council staffer Fiona Hill acknowledged that failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was only helping Russian President Vladimir Putin by questioning the validity of the 2016 election.

Hill spoke about the 2016 election under questioning from Rep. Mike Conaway (R-TX) during Thursday’s impeachment hearings in the House Intelligence Committee.

    He asked:
‘The loser in the 2016 election, for three years, has continued to argue that because she won the popular vote, that somehow the election was inappropriate and we shouldn’t trust it; that the electoral college victory, which was resounding, shouldn’t be trusted. Does that help Putin or play into the narrative that he would like for us to do, that our elections are somehow rigged and shouldn’t be trusted?’

    “Yes it does,” Hill agreed.’

Not wrong is she…as the comrades at the BBC try to get a confirmed commie, terrorist, and anti-semite who will wreck the economy, society and western security, elected into Office?

Cassandra: I used to listen to poetry programmes on Radio4. No longer. The end of the last series of ‘poetry please’ (itself lately subject to much PC under my long-standing hero, Roger McGough -since the late 60s, who clearly felt he had to sacrifice quality to ‘move with the times’) was the end of my listening. The chances of catching Milton or Keats, Larkin or Plath, ever diminishing. You may still get the odd Gerard Manley Hopkins or Edward Thomas, but it’s rare.
I heard a bit of ‘George the Poet’. Third-rate crap. The fact that there’s a bit of rhyming doesn’t make it poetry – a common problem with ‘rap’. They share the same sort of unattractive staccato rhythm, instead of having any musical quality. The fact that someone decides to publicly call himself ‘a poet’ means less than nothing.
Radio 4 has really been deteriorating in every respect over the last decade. The same can also be said for beeb television in general. Rewriting history and re-educating (brainwashing) us is now its major function.
The decline of poetry programmes on R4 – another channel now largely geared to propaganda- is only one symptom.

I’ve speculated here before whether the BBC has the whif of anti semitism – and an irony that Tourette’s Robinson is – in theory I believe – Jewish ….

One might speculate that if a head of a major religion said ‘don’t vote Tory ‘we’d be hearing wall to wall coverage on the biased state broadcaster . I’m guessing an awful lot of lobbying has been going on overnight between labour and its’ broadcaster .

The BBC is full of self destructive Jews, who have it has to be said brought anti Semitism down on their own heads.

While other people were sounding out the warnings about the Muslims the BBC and others were not only defending Islamic anti Semitism, they were actively attacking those people who were warning them.

Despite there being Jews in senior positions at the BBC such as Alan Yentob and Danny Cohen – both have left under a cloud, the BBC has in the eyes of many of the Jews I have known pursued a campaign against Israel for decades, to the extent the Israeli government so far as I am aware does not give interviews to the BBC because of the perceived bias.

Will the Labour Party be compensating men for 100 years of lower mortality rates?

‘Why was our son left starving for five days?’

An investigation into the death of a young, autistic man – left starving and desperately thirsty in hospital while waiting for a delayed operation – is to be reviewed. Mark Stuart spent five days in agony and died following a catalogue of failings by NHS staff.

It’s four years since Richard and Janet Stuart scattered their son’s ashes at his favourite swimming spot at Windermere, Cumbria. “I feel so guilty that I didn’t raise the roof,” says Richard. “I just sit on the end of the jetty and say, ‘I’m sorry, Mark.'”

I think a lot of nurses, far from being ‘angels of mercy’, are quite callous in their treatment of patients, particularly elderly patients.

I also wonder whether the need now for nurses to have a degree, creates an attitude of superiority such that they regard actual nursing to be too menial and beneath them.

The BBC and Jeremy Corbyn are misunderstood. All the BBC
wants to do is to support Jeremy Corbyn into winning the

As for the film Blue. All that BBC Films wanted to show

It is clear to everyone that Labour can’t win and neither can the Lib Dem’s so now we have prominent Remainers given a platform by the BBC to advise Remainers to vote for whoever can stop Brexit. Only three weeks these same folks and the BBC tried to convince us that this election was about all sorts of things other than Brexit. That distraction ploy has failed spectacularly and now they are once again showing their true colours , Stop Brexit At Any Cost.
I hope that when this ploy fails too and we Leave we do not forget nor forgive those who tried to defeat the democratic process.
Hundreds of MPs who promised one thing to their constituents but did another, and of course the unlamented ex Speaker.
The judges in the Supreme Court ( a Blair fabrication) who politicised the judiciary
The BBC whose propaganda for the EU has been brazen and sustained.
The House of Lords whose virulent opposition to Brexit has been shocking.
Many celebs, notably Geldof , who have been ridiculous in their opposition to Brexit.
The Civil Service whose traitorous attachment to Brussels has been a major plank of the Remain resistance.

I’m sure that there are many other institutions and members of the establishment who merit being remembered for their anti democratic actions but these are groups that immediately spring to mind. I know that if we leave Boris et al will be preaching to us that we must be generous in victory and that the country must be brought together etc etc . But to me the scars left by the Remainers contempt for democracy run deep and I want retribution and for the supremacy of democracy to be reinforced by examples being made of those who dare to flout it.

The main interview about anti semitism in the Corbyn Party doesn’t feature a front bencher ( during an election campaign ) but they put up an old friend of Corbyn – comrade baron dubbs .

I remember comrade baron dubbs from his time as a far left MP – he lost his safe seat and got put in the lords – if you look at wiki. You’ll see he’s regularly got his snout in the trough at the age of 86 .

Nice friendly interview with Robinson . Strange that chakrabati hasn’t found the time for interview since she is not looking for a constituency and is a peer for life .

I’m actually shocked at how easy a ride comrade dubbs got . I shouldn’t be but it does show how biased the BBC is toward Labour . Image the treatment of a Tory in such circumstances .

Big day for Dawn Butler launching some nonsense about equality today – popcorn time ….

Labour’s ‘Emancipation Educational Trust’ will teach in all schools how evil the British empire is and make your children feel loathing for themselves and their ancestors.

The BBC had a similar theme a few weeks ago with a young rapper in Bristol who hated his own race/culture and bathed himself in voluntary flagellation on behalf of his white historical ancestors cheered on by ‘diversity champions’.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/stories-50318490/grime-artist-jay0117-explores-the-white-race-conversation

There is a concerted effort to deny and demote our culture to our own Children for the sake of some Liberal ideological experiment and the BBC is complicit.

I love history, but it’s a subject that has been use as a political tool for generations to brainwash and deny truth to our Children. Never more so that this current generation, and that sinister reality will get infinitely worse under this English hating communist and his acolytes at the BBC.

The SNP would be calling for another independence referendum Brexit or no Brexit. They want a referendum to be held every year until they win .

“An independent Scotland could rejoin the EU on a “relatively quick” timescale, Nicola Sturgeon has said.”
There’s that operative word “Could” again. Much more important is the word ‘would’ . Can the EU support an Independent Scotland given the financial loss the EU would take when Great Britain leaves the ‘European Empire’ ?
Would The EU allow Scotland to join their new ‘Empire’?

It is up to the Scottish people if they wish to vote for independence. They then would be free to re-apply for membership of the EU.
However, what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. If they reject independence, there should then be a binding referendum held in England, Wales and Northern Ireland only, in which the rest of the population have a say on whether Scotland is allowed to remain a part of the UK.

I am starting to question the relationship between Labour and the BBC. Is there something going on behind closed doors? A small (or at least small in Labour terms) bribe coming from somewhere and a secret handshake?

Surly with the amount of bias going on there has to be more than just a preference for the left. The BBC are very actively trying to get Labour elected.

The thing is with Labour’s plans it means a tax on inheritance among other things (no challenge from the BBC)

For some people that is the only chance they get on paying their mortgage and so this tax will hurt the working class. Alright for overpayed BBC drones with their nice big properties but some people just don’t get a chance.

The thing is it is the floating voters who swing elections. These are the people that the BBC are trying to get. Undecided people who need to be scared about big bad Johnson into voting for nice and generous old Corbyn.

It is the same with the anti Brexit bias. They are not just trying to mock leave voters but are preparing for a potential second referendum. With three years of people then under 18 now able to vote and a number of people who might have changed their minds and those who did not vote before but might vote now the anti Brexit bias has been left on full blast to try and swing it if it ever happens.

Of course Labour are hinting at a second referendum so if you swing people to vote Labour now then you could push them to vote remain later.

The BBC would prefer the Lib Dem’s instant revoke but as the Lib Dems won’t win but Labour do still have a chance then they are behind Labour.

TOADY Watch #2 – We will be back to burning coal

The programme carried an item about a specific research about a manufacturing leftover, no, not unemployed Unionised workers (Yooni Lecturer sigh of relief) but something going to waste and ending up as landfill.

The brewing industry discards its by-product, spent spelt and unused grains and research is being undertaken into what can be done with it.

A researcher at the Uni explains that burning it is carbon neutral, notwithstanding the release of CO2 and pollutants, because the grain has absorbed CO2 while growing. To my mind, that is stretching the definition of carbon-neutral but what do I know? I was taught science in ‘the old days’.

The politicians, in a bid to appease the Climate Alarmists (all over today’s TOADY, before I was awake, apparently) will seize on things like that in order to reach the mythical and impossible Carbon Net-Zero.

I have posted on here before: it will not be long before we are back to burning coal and, in Ireland, peat in order to keep warm, keep the lights on and trains & vehicles moving.

The argument that since “The brewing industry discards its by-product, spent spelt and unused grains” burning it is CO2
      That would be true
.. but I 100% doubt the waste is discarded
..more likely it is used for pig and cow feed
and some is composted and goes out as fertiliser or even to fuel biogas power stations.

That is like saying that when Drax burns good wood it is carbon neutral. It’s not true cos you have got system where wood used in physical products acts as a carbon sink, so burning that wood increases the CO2 output of the system.
In the case of beer byproduct system if you burn waste, that means you have to plant more grain elsewehere to feed pigs and cattle.
