Halifax – the postal fraud vote isn’t factored in yet – however the Tories putting priti Patel up at 2210 suggests the Tories own polling suggests a working majority .

The funny thing is after I read that exit poll I heard a rumble of thunder outside. Is that a sign or just someone across the road from me throwing their TV out of the window?

There are Labour signs up in windows here… But not for much longer!

Pound euro has hit 1.2 .

If the poll is anywhere near correct – and I don’t think it will be anywhere as ‘ good’ as that – then what it will tell us is all that bias we have recorded here day in day out by a Far Left BBC counted for not much .

But early days … hours …

I was thinking that. If Boris has managed to pull this off then it goes to show that the BBC and all of their friends at the Guardian, Independent and Mirror had failed.

All that effort from the BBC seems to have been wasted , maybe they need to realise how irrelevant they’ve become .

Oh dear. Huw, Laura and Andrew Marr do seem downhearted.
Andrew Marr ” the Conservatives are going to do Brexit on their terms…”
Quick. Let’s start brown tongueing the Conservatives maybe Boris won’t remember how blatantly biased we have been!

Katy’s Adler on bbc saying if Boris has a big majority he can then ignore some of the more extreme Brexit supporters and get a softer Brexit with more concessions to the eu.

If that’s true, what has he learned.
He gets a big majority by promising a proper Brexit and within minutes of the exit poll people are saying Brexit will be softened.

    How dare he!

        Oak,
Nothing, and what’s to celebrate? A big Tory victory will be interpreted by the Party leadership as public approval for BRINO.

I’ll believe it when ai see it but we can be cautiously optimistic.
There seems to be something of a wake going on on BBC1 but they are already creating doom and gloom scenarios.
What will happen in Scotland Indyref2?
Boris can’t deliver a trade deal in a year and then his popularity will go down.
Laura appears to have been stung by a wasp.
    Doom. Gloom.

    • Roland Deschain says:

Sadly Indyref2 looks inevitable at this point, which is tempering my pleasure that Corbyn seems to have been seen off. Unfortunately the SNP never get properly held to account and get away with blue murder.

However… the forthcoming Salmond trial could have unpredictable consequences.

      • smoogie7 says:

It will be interesting how the inclusion of TBP played out. Did they help the Tories more or Labour?

My area had just four. Tory, Labour, LD and Green. WE had some more in the past but not even Monster Raving Loony this year.

I voted Tory for Connor Burns. A decent MP so no problems seeing him win his seat again.

From what I know most protest votes in my area are going towards the Greens

Andrew Neil telling Farage TBP is a finished party.
Let’s face it. Had it not been for The Brexit Party in the European elections and holding Boris’s feet to the fire we would not have any chance of any form of Brexit at all.

Methinks Mr Neil was less than gracious in his treatment of Lord Farage . I’m wondering what time the first President Trump Twitter will be …

I’m also amazed that the BBC collective view the exit poll as ‘ solid’ whereas I won’t accept victory until the number is over 340 plus

The predicted result clearly shows that a bunch of illiterate thickos do not fully understand the issues, as compared with the academics, luvvies, and theoretical intelligent socialists.

The people may have voted Tory but we don’t know what kind of Tory.
There can be only one conclusion. We need a new poll and on the ballot paper there should be only two options. Approval of every single Tory policy , or everything else.
