Midweek Thread 22 January 2020

With Anthony Hall (director general)leaving the Biased BBC earlier than expected it increases the hope that the new government really is going to take on the bloated broadcaster. Maybe it will kill off the licence tax – or at least give notice that it will be ending soon . We can but hope .

Is some BBC bias actually as a result of it trying to be impartial?

“Sarah Champion quits Labour front bench over rape article”

    Telegraph version –

“Sarah Champion forced out of Jeremy Corbyn’s shadow cabinet after warning Pakistani men are raping white girls”

    Sometimes ‘impartiality’ isn’t appropriate.

(The BBC received a complaint which was upheld – can’t find the details)

Imho, This is an argument for Liberals to sort out for themselves.

BBC has rarely been impartial towards what it perceives as ‘Right-Wing’ issues eg Trump, T Robinson

It has dawned on me that ‘fairness’ and ‘equality’ are not the same. In fact, fairness appears to be an ‘out of date’ concept and rarely mentioned. ‘Box ticking’ such as we see in advertising and elsewhere is not the way to go.

sarah champion admits domestic violence against her partner … support and understanding

sarah champion mentions “asian” peado rape gangs … SACKED ATTACKED VILIFIED

that tells me all I need to know about the labour party
