Well nick Robinson has tweeted a gloating comment about the Turkish failed PPE …..
    Why ?

All that guff he and his type come out with about neutrality and he proves that he is just willing the government to fail .

It’s just a game to him and his kind . But it’s really about the health of people . I should expect better but knew I wouldn’t get it from him .

I view the BBC trend as 4-pronged.

    1. Ensure the Government is responsible for too many people dying in care homes.

    2. Ensure the Government is responsible for black people being more likely to die with the virus,

    3. Ensure maximum air-time for the Climate Brigade to demand minimum return to normal in favour of no cars, no planes, no power stations etc. etc. etc. even if this means many people may never get jobs again.

    4. Do everything possible to get Sir Keir leading the country.

The BBC is reporting ONS figures that state “Black Britons face ‘twice the risk’ of death” from Coronavirus, when compared to the indigenous population. MP David Lammy has twitted that “It is urgent the causes of this disproportionality are investigated. Action must be taken to protect black men and women – as well as people from all backgrounds – from the virus”
He is, of course, correct, as well as generous in his suggestion that ‘people from other backgrounds’ should be protected . Until we fully understand what is going on, perhaps the lockdown should remain in place for our BAME population, even after it has been lifted for the general population. It is no different than suggesting than lockdown is retained for protecting other vulnerable groups, such as the elderly. Hopefully our national broadcaster can lead the campaign on this one.

    Ian.
On the rolling banner below Sky news it’s saying bame are 4.2 (men) and 4.3 (women) more likely to die (or are actually dying) from the Chinese virus than indigenous whites.

Another way to look at this, If only 20% of the deaths are white (one white for 4 bame deaths) then had we not had the mass immigration our deaths would be 20% of 30,000 which is 6,000.

We would be nowhere near the top 10.

See what you can do with statistics!

I know, we are only supposed to have about 13% bame in the UK (where indigenous whitey is the minority in 9 million population London….!) so it’s really 4% of this 13% but they can make it seem so much different to suit their agenda.

I am trying not to get too annoyed by these reports….even the writers of the reports list shed loads of reasons why their conclusions are suspect…
easy one is they used the 2011 census figures (think London has changed a bit since then) and only use NHS hospital figures not all deaths – ethnicity isn’t listed on normal death rates – nor underlying co-morbidities…
There may well be a genetic issue here – but this is just being used as a political football

What a good time when everyone is isolated, relatives not allowed to make visits and the elderly in care homes succumb to the virus. And who’s able to challenge this?

I wonder if other countries are taking advantage to do a bit of euthanasing of the elderly?

Questions do need to be asked. A disproportionate number of infections in the USA comparative to population, far more than other nations. Same for Spain. Looking to be similar for the UK.

Deaths in Care Homes, many of which were choosing to isolate before 23 March. How did the infections get access?

Countries bordering Russia and Brazil (who are seeing infections rocket) – why are their infections not increasing at similar rates?

  8. Doublethinker says:

Since the referendum much of the MSM has supported any politician and party it thinks will take us back inside the EU. Hence the deep love that former Tory outlets like the Times now feel for their new Champion Sir Keir. So what will the bulk of the MSM do once Covid has been beaten, how will they seek to exploit the ‘excess deaths’ in the UK? We can expect little defence of the government’s handling of the crisis and for the ‘excess deaths’ theme to run throughout the next four years right across the MSM from the foul corporation to the Times. They will be determined to use it to bring down the Tories and instal Sir Keir as PM. The BBC will run documentaries showing the impact of the loss of family and friends on survivors , which might be fair enough, but there will be a strong underlying message that Boris
‘s incompetence was directly responsible for the deaths. We might even see tearful relatives saying how they voted for Boris because of Brexit but now regret it because he killed their granny and they are certainly going to vote for that nice competent statesmanlike Sir Keir chap even if it means rejoining. No doubt someone will also pop up on the programme saying at least 20,000 people died in the UK because we had left the EU. It will go on relentlessly, ruthlessly and remorselessly month after month , year after year, Sir Keir would have used his peerless technocratic skills to protect us whilst charlatan Boris let us die. Prepare yourselves it will be awful. Brexit isn’t a done deal yet the Remainers May yet still beat us.

I want the lockdown ended – I’m amazed in my bit of London it is still holding. Yet the government seems to be making noises about relaxing it – despite only a small reduction of people dying in hospital and a dismal number of tests being conducted (why ) and I say 75k a day is dismal for a national effort .
So if the lockdown is lifted with little improvement what the hell have we been doing ….. ?

    • Doublethinker says:

Never underestimate the willingness and power of the Remainer elite to sabotage and undermine even national efforts such as testing and PPE procurement and even excess deaths . The pandemic has given them opportunities to help get us back inside the EU ( if there still is one in four years) and they will use them to the maximum no matter what the cost to others.

Snuffy is puzzled, not by the BBC, they are fairly straightforward as digg outlines above.

Prince Harry & his wife, Meghan told the world earlier this year that they did not want to live in the glare of publicity, they wanted a quiet life, they were going to live fairly anonymously somewhere in western Canada and do ‘ordinary’ jobs to pay their way. They also took legal action against some UK newspapers for various alleged or claimed misdemeanours.

Since when, the couple and their son have not been off the front pages of the newspapers, including the ones they claim to despise and detest.

    Huh?

Maybe they need to sack their PR company and publicist? The message has not got through to them.

The amount of Money a ‘celeb’ gets , they earn sod all, depends on thei degree of exposure they get. So Megan reading stories to one year old Archie is not to earn cash for Save the Children but to advertise her voice over business whilst getting some exposure in the MSM.

They can’t do “ordinary” jobs. Or extraordinary jobs. They don’t have marketable skills. All Harry has ever done is machine gunned a few Taliban and Meghan is just another ageing mediocre actress in an overcrowded profession. What they should have done is played the royal game representing the UK at official ceremonies, opening a few sausage factories and being patrons of multiple charities. Maybe not hugely fulfilling but a steady income.

‘In our data, the proportion of deaths occurring among those of White ethnicity was 83.8%, while the largest minority ethnic group was Black with 6.0%. ‘

Dangerous nonsense being peddled by the ONS and the BBC et al on race and coronavirus…first of course it’s nothing to do with race. They do not catch C19 because of their skin colour or ethnicity.

It’s demographics and geographics plain and simple. There’s no mystery.

We’re being told that the black population is 3% whilst they suffer 6% deaths…thus they suffer disproportionately…somehow.

Trouble is…C19 is concentrated in London, Birmingham and Manchester mainly. All areas where the black population is disproportionate to its national ratio of 3%. You could credibly say Blacks are underepresented in the death rates. 3% national population, 13% in London and yet only 6% of deaths from C19…which is concentrated in the cities.

In London Blacks are 13%, Asians 18.5%….thus a 6% death rate suddenly looks different.
In Birmingham Blacks are 9% and Asians 27%.
In Manchester Blacks are 10% and Asians near 20%.

As the deaths are mainly in very densely populated areas where Bames are in much higher proportion it’s not a surprise that they figure more highly in the overall rate…but the overall rate for the whole country doesn’t give the true picture.

    Here’s the population density…

    250px-Population_density_UK_2011_census.png

Here’s the ethnic population..note the almost exact correlation with the population density…

    250px-Non-white_in_the_2011_census.png

Here’s the deaths from C19…again note the close correlation..

    11329609.jpg?display=1&htype=0&type=responsive-gallery

The BBC et al are demanding more money, vast sums, to save the Bames…so how are these immigrants contributing to Britain’s economy? We know they already cost us billions….and yet the BBC keeps insisting they are necessary for the economy.

How is it that Africa and India, not known for their wealth and health hardly have any C19 deaths?

According to the news just now, the immigration detention centres now house only a fraction of inmates that they held before Covid 19 hit. With the exception of those with criminal records all others have been released for fear of the virus spreading.

My immediate thought was ‘where the hell have they been released to “? the simple answer was – homes have been found for them. But there was no elaboration. Then an inmate on camera (face fuzzed out) said he keeps getting told by the Council they have no home available, so he is frustrated an in despair.

Conclusion: illegals do not get sent back but are given homes where available. Little wonder we have them crossing the channel in their thousands when we give them homes rather than placement in the now run-down detention centres.

What a world you lot are going to have in the future. I’ll be lucky to have 10 more Christmases, but I can survive that and watch the decline.

Having given Nadia Whittome all the coverage she deliberately – and creatively – sought, via Newsnight and Vine, I somehow doubt the BBC will be especially quick off the mark with any retractions following Guido’s more honest research.
Instead, expect in-depth Krankie now that she has bravely taken the moral high ground with absolutely no relaxation whatsoever for lock-down in Scollun.
Only a week or so back the shameless shyster was trying to up-stage Boris by suggesting relaxed rules, after Boris had said England’s stay in place. Now that his Sunday speech is forecast to herald some slight changes, she’s playing the strong determined Braveheart.

The cowardly useless incompetent Tories still don’t appear to have realised she was a Communist entryist and I do wonder what it will take to convince them of the truth of this.

Unreported of course by the BBC Red Tess has been spouting that ‘Nationalism’ was to blame for the coronoavirus crisis, and praised the actions of Communist China during the early stages of the outbreak.

How much more obvious does it have to get for the cowardly useless incompetent Tories? Does she have wear a Mao Suit and keep a copy of Chairman Mao’s little red book in her pocket at all times? Talk about the running dogs of capitalism perhaps?

It seems nothing is too far left for todays Tories “In April, the former Chief of Staff to Theresa May, Nick Timothy, said that the Conservative-led governments of David Cameron and Mrs May had pursued a policy referred to as “Operation Kowtow” when it came to the Chinese Communist Party. Despite evidence of the communist regime stealing British military and commercial secrets, the UK government struck a “cynical bargain” in favour of economic gains, according to Timothy.”

How many women work as tyre fitters? I guess numbers might be in single digits in the UK but guess what – the BBC have found one.

(Just in case anyone is thinking it: I don’t care about gender of workers: women mechanics, women car/crew chiefs, women F1 team bosses, all fine by me. It is just the ‘BBC messaging’ I object to. Plus the fact that a note of realistic dirt is missing from the photo. Marks? 2/10 and that’s just for the safety gear.)

Not BBC, but ITV News just claimed that NHS clapping has continued enthusiastically this evening, and showed a 100-year-old muslim leading the applause in London’s East End.
Tom Bradby described him as a “centurion.” It’s centenarian, you dolt.
    I know I shouldn’t bother but I can’t stand the slimy sod.
