Midweek Thread 16 September 2020

The BBC Annual Report is published . Maybe the new Director General will give interviews about the biased anti British BBC And its’ future ? Certainly the BBC website has chirped about the £12.88 a week the taxpayer must pay each week for its’ output. To some £12.88 might not be much per week . But on a ‘full’ State pension of £175.20- that is 7% of a persons’ income demanded by the BBC – which has expressed an aim to appeal to the ‘younger’ person! .

Such a funding model can’t be justified – even without the Woke Mission the BBC has undemocratically given itself – if there is no representation – there should be no taxation – defund the BBC

‘ Far right groups ‘ being ‘violent’ in Dover and ‘harrassing asylum seekers’ in their 5 star hotels. How terrible, there are lists of such hotels on the internet they say ..

Mrs was so angry she has stormed out of the room. What a biased distorted load of +++. Why is having the same concerns the majority of the indigenous population have ‘ far right’. Has the BBC ever said’ far left’, ever ?

The BBC call the generation of British people that died defending the world against Nazism far right and racist in a complete reversal of reality and history. They even want Winston Churchill’s statue toppled because they call him a racist and an offense to the ‘progressive’ society.

Clearly the BBC are actively working to subvert and overthrow the British people and their way of life and in an ironic twist they are getting the British people to pay for it all. I think the minimum a concerned British citizen should ask for is the removal of the TV licence.

I wonder how amenable people would be if 7% of all weekly income went to the BBC – if average income is £2500 per month – 600 a week say – so you’d pay about £40 a week to the BBC a week ….

Just got to be defunding . The government was due to issue the findings of the ‘consultation on decriminalisation – yet nothing – silence – and that to me suggests there will be no change ……

Just to add to this zoey ball is on £3739 a day – kate hoey on twitter raises this if any one can cut and paste it please …

On the 7% principle zoey would pay the bbc about £1800 a week for her TV licence

The hotels must be full because I understand that an army base in Taffland is now being used to house the invaders ? Is the Tory Party deliberately allowing this invasion by stealth?
It is about time the danger was brought up in Parliament.
The Labour Party are very silent about this ?

Yes, BoBotC, and when an MP in the UK Parliament is threatening to overturn democracy in the UK is described – historically and correctly – as a Nazi, the person providing the correct description is imprisoned. It would have helped if the application and manner of the description had been without any whiff of harrassment or threat. However, that person prosecuted and imprisoned for the crime of description would no doubt now be labelled by the BBC as ‘Far Right’ when in fact that (or Far Left – they are the same) ‘Far Right’ and Nazi title was entirely correct for the MP.

The ‘nerd’ in me calculated that just those 33 Beeboids cost nearly sixty thousand licences (or tax demands as they are seen by most citizens).

Someone also pointed out that these sums don’t include pensions, expenses, 1st class travel, etc…

Peter Sellers was on TV years ago, and made a joke of his early years as a comedian, doing a matinee. The small afternoon audience was dead quiet, and he said that he felt ‘the waves of hate’, come across to him on stage from a tight-lipped crowd.

That same hate is beginning to get through to the beeboids at last, and I hope it hurts.

    https://order-order.com/2020/09/15/read-in-full-bbcs-2020-stars-pay-revealed/

Both give the link to the full report. Hmm … yes, I know we are supposed to read the original source for ourselves … so I took a deep breath and bravely clicked on one of the links, all ready to come up with new info that was not in either blog …

… I am sorry to say that I gravely overestimated my staying power. I took ages and repeated attempts just to get past the front cover. Then I got stalled at this:

“Presented to Parliament by the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport by Command of Her Majesty”. BBC! If I may say so (“and I do say so” – Margaret Thatcher), I think you are not one bit worthy of your Royal Charter. Not after all the bias that has been amply documented on this and other blogs for so many years.

The next page was the Contents page, and I somehow managed to reach the end. And stopped there. This was page 1. That was the sum total of my progress, sorry!

Hats off to all those who did get through the 260+ pages of smug, blind, brazen bias!

Archbishop Justin Welby is getting headlines on the programme this morning. The Archbishop ought to be intelligent enough to know that a political pronouncement from him would be latched onto by the BBC especially, but that the words that Anglicans – and the wider Christian community – in the UK and around the world would want to hear would be the proclamation of the Gospel ie. the good news about Jesus, His life, teaching, death and resurrection, ascension and return.

Alexei Navalny is featured in the BBC headlines and on the front page of the BBC House Journal a.k.a. the Guardian newspaper.

Remember the Salisbury Poisonings? The BBC told us how deadly a Novichok poison could be. The merest smear and you would be dead, possibly instantly. Now we have another ‘survivor’ and we will soon be in double figures if President Putin keeps spreading it about.

Ah, yes, Putin. Surely someone like that, with the resources of the FSB (the old KGB) behind him, if he wanted someone, a political opponent or whistle-blower, dead he could arrange it more efficiently and effectively? Apparently not.

A minor headline on the FT front page soberly reminds us this morning that in July: ‘Jobless rate rises above 4%’ – and that’s with furlough extending into the autumn. Employment armageddon pre-Christmas, we wonder?

So where are our trades unions and why don’t they call for a proper end to lockdown?

Well, unions are not what they used to be. The strongest unions are in our public sector and they are sitting pretty. Securely employed they are really just political campaign organisations. Notably our NHS has been lording it over the nation all year, doing what they want when they want, mainly complaining about the Torys and shooing patients away. GPs and hospital staff have really had little to complain about in this supposed finest hour of their’s.

The civil service are still not properly back at work.

As for the teachers, they went truant in March on full pay, so as to avoid the kids, and have hardly been seen since.

The most powerful trades union of all is the FPBBC (female presenters on the BBC) who have landed themselves massive pay rises, as the Daily Mail points out: ‘Zoe’s £1m pay rise (after losing 1m listeners)’

The Express points to: ‘Fury as BBC pay soars, but free TV licences still get axed…’

The Mirror, a friend to the BBC on this, admiringly observes: ‘Golden Ball. Coining it in Strictly’s Zoe Ball. Lineker’s £400k pay cut makes Zoe BBC’s top earner’ – as you’ll recall from the hey days of unions, it’s all about the differentials.

The BBC’s on-line newspaper front page line up gives prominence to the Star (after the Guardian, of course) since we guess the Beeb enjoy that tabloid’s headline: ‘What a circus!’ relating to ‘…the latest testing fiasco…’ – I’ll give no sympathy to the twin clowns, Boris ‘Bozo’ and Hancock ‘Coco’, their cowardice in the face of Chinese Flu has shanghaied us all.

The Mail wants us all tested and blames the government: ‘Why ARE they still failing the test?’ and launches the unimaginatively titled campaign: ‘Get Britain tested’ – I’ve had a think about this and it’s a no win situation. Test positive and you’re the leper – locked down in quarantine for a fortnight. Test negative and you’re good to go – but only until the next time you’re tested – meanwhile frightened you’ll catch it. An endless vicious circle of fear and paranoia.

The Metro jumps aboard the testing bandwagon and attempts to put the blame at the top and exonerate the testing staff: ‘They want to help but… Sorry sight: Workers at a testing centre in Cambrigde and Twickenham yesterday’

The accompanying pics of staff sitting idle amist a forrest of traffic cones and crowd control barriers marking walkways and queuing areas for presumably thousands of cattle-like humans seem deeply depressing – and not for the reasons the Metro seems to think.

Rather than some hoped for gateway to health and safety these pictures look to me like the entrance to a yet to be occupied impromptu prison camp.

Can’t help but notice the Star’s bikini babe today is boasting only ’25c’ although she does suggest: ‘Summer is back’ – not for much longer luv, better wrap up soon, you’ll catch yer death…

Not in such a Christian country, surely nothing to do the New World Order which has been the aim-compliance, subjugation, control of us non-Islamic peoples, is that the score? The only appropriate response to people like the obscene Zoe Ball (plus all her other untalented mates in the bbc elite, who are paid ludicrous salaries) earning over £3000 a day is to withhold 100% of the licence fee.
Also, we are getting large doses of repeat programmes, both on TV and radio…most of which are garbage anyway.
The insult to licence fee payers is thus actually doubled, as the bbc income is increased by swallowing up over 75s.

They have also become even more anti Trump. But their readership , judging by the comments they write, has remained staunchly pro Brexit, anti mass immigration and more supportive of the President. But consumers of news are ignored by the ‘producers’ of news, the BBC being the very best example that. How long can falling circulation and viewing figures be sustained before some sections of the MSM take heed of their consumers? Who pays the wages ? ( excepting the stste funded BBC of course)
The disturbing thing is that there are now even fewer MSM outlets that are not pro EU,anti Trump and soft on migration . In the UK we are starved of news not seen through the prism of global Wokism. Will News GB be any different , it is owned by a globalist, and if it is different how long will it be allowed to survive?
We know that in the US Fox has followed the move to the left we see over here. We know that right of centre social media outlets are constantly attacked by their providers. Can the likes of Rush Limbaugh become the only sources of non globalist news?
It is very clear that the MSM globally has been or is about to be captured by the global Wokists. What happens when there is no anti globalist news , when we never hear of any resistance to globalism even though there might be plenty? The Globalists control what we see hear and know, we live in sinister Orwellian times.

Maybe, just maybe, Great Britain will be the catalyst for change. If all the people in this country had the bottle and courage to join the ‘Telly Tax’, the first casualty will be political correctness and wokeism.

Yes if the BBC is forced to become subscription only it will reduce the amount of fake Woke news and potentially allow more space for the truth to be reported. Of course it may be that another Wokist outlet moves into the space created by reduction in the BBC audience. But at least there is a chance that it might be filled by impartial truths rather than Wokist propaganda.. It would also send a signal to the Woke commercial MSM that people are starting to assert their rights as consumers.
I have taken to urging everyone I know to stop paying the License Fee. No good waiting for government we can do it ourselves.

Straighten the mis-information from the EU- it is they who are in breach of breaking international Law. The following shows:
More than four years after a clear majority of the British electorate voted to leave the European Union, we are at a critical juncture once again on the final stage towards a fully free, independent, and sovereign United Kingdom.
The Government is now endeavouring to protect the integrity of our Union from the EU’s apparent extreme interpretation of the Withdrawal Treaty.
To quote the Prime Minister’s article in the Daily Telegraph of Sat 12 Sept 2020:
“We are now hearing that, unless we agree to the EU’s terms, the EU will use an extreme interpretation of the Northern Ireland protocol to impose a full-scale trade border down the Irish Sea.
“We are being told that the EU will not only impose tariffs on goods moving from Great Britain to Northern Ireland, but that they might actually stop the transport of food products from GB to NI.
“I have to say that we never seriously believed that the EU would be willing to use a treaty, negotiated in good faith, to blockade one part of the UK, to cut it off, or that they would actually threaten to destroy the economic and territorial integrity of the UK. This was for the very good reason that any such barrier, any such tariffs or division, would be completely contrary to the letter and the spirit of the Good Friday Agreement.”
It is our collective assessment – backed by highly-respected and EU-experienced lawyers – that the European Union is in serious and material breaches of its ‘good faith’, ‘best endeavour’s and other obligations under the Withdrawal Agreement, in which it committed to respect the UK’s sovereignty and internal market. We therefore believe that the Government is entitled to act to protect the UK to the fullest extent from EU demands purportedly based on this document, and that such action is justified under international law on account of these breaches.
The Union must be preserved and the Government and Parliament must have the absolute right to determine the policies and laws adopted on behalf of the British people, with no interference from any EU body. That is where we stand-the EU are wetting their pants as the UK begins to row away from them-it might be said that many of the 27 nations who make up the European Union are not of one accord; It has to be seen whether some may remove themselves from the EU.

Three cheers for all whitey people-the others would still be locked into a tribal feudalism if they had never left Africa-any that escaped would have been fodder for the Arab slave traders. It took whitey many centuries of development before there was any semblance of a civilisational structure, now whitey appears or its government appears to be returning back 1000 years or so. Technology was white man’s introduction, all races are enjoying the benefits there of, until the savage arrive to control the government-not far away.

R3 can beat all the rest of the BBC when it tries. Mayflower Portraits on Tuesday night (10.45pm – worth a listen). Margaret Verble (Cherokee Nation like Elizabeth Warren) tells the tale of Squanto, who did play a big role in the survival of the Pilgrims. But the real tale is of whitey’s enslavement of Indians, our releasing of many pandemics to slaugher them all and the resulting lack of planting of the 3 miracle staples of America (maize, beans, squash) which therefore caused the Little Ice Age (climate catastrophe). Then the Amerindian slaves were replaced by blacks (no mention of English indentured servants who worked the early plantations). Four glorious woke stories in 15 minutes.

    The BBC really is incorrigible.

For the first time in months I listened to the end of Today and had the misfortune to catch the end of a discussion about the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the Mayflower in America. One guest was an aggrieved member of the local tribe near the first settlement.

She was fed the question “do you regret the arrival of the English settlers?”

    “Yes.”

It’s a fair point for discussion. It’s just that everything the BBC does is like this.

Did the BBC then ask the guest whether she’d prefer to be living as the current tribal communities in Central and South America do today? I’m sure you can guess the answer to that one.

Fake facts:”(links don’t work if the html is written in capitals or if a quotation mark is missed )”

          HTML is case-insensitive, Unix/Linux file systems aren’t.

If a URL has a capital letter in it then it must be included if the file is located on a Unix/Linux server. Quotation marks and brackets of all shapes are used to de-limit ‘code’ elements and as such are always paired.

The BBC licence fee is optional; the syntax isn’t.

He complained that when he went to Africa to search for migrants to interview he kept on stumbling across a whole army of academics from other universities as well as journalists all looking for migrants to interview to produce social justice dissertations, social justice research papers, for preparing research grants, for writing popular articles. He came across one small group of migrants crossing Africa who told him to stop bothering them because they had been hassled by other white academics and white journalists for interviews earlier.

You can see how the BBC mindset works with the totally bizarre and obscene musical chairs regarding Lineker’s and Zoe Ball’s salaries.

Knowing that the Lineker furore won’t go away as long as he is top of the heap financially they have decided to try to silence the protest by elevating Ball’s salary by a ridiculous amount so that she just tops Linker, hopefully taking the heat off him.

They obviously hope this will stifle protest because she is a Woman and therefore one of the “untouchables” and thus beyond critiscm.

The only odd thing is why they didn’t go the whole hog and choose a black women to complete the circle. Naga etc. could have done for this.

I believe the EU push to get as many illegal immigrants into the UK as possible is a calculated tactic led primary by Germany and spearheaded by Merkel.

Knowing they were vilified for their own treatment of immigrants in the 1930’s and into the Second Word War I believe they are now trying hard to put the UK into the same position that they were in at that time to teach us all a lesson.

They are thus able to point the finger at the flack coming from the indigenous UK population as they see their Country being flooded with foreigners in some sort of vitriolic retaliation for the humiliation they received after the War.

They are also clever enough to know that this plan would be fully and blindly supported by the wokists in the UK.

Where the heck was Tory HQ in all of this ?
He’s not the Yorkshire Ripper so police and jailing should not have been involved.
They should have prevented it in the first place, by having firm policies, like reading them the riot act BEFORE anything happens.
Then for victims you need an open door complaint policy, without threat of automatic punishment for the offender, cos that actually deters complaints.
Before they start their job they need to know that they can safely report things to HR and be moved straight away, with HR acting as a father to the offender not an equal.

The offender needs to know he cr/she crossed the line and shouldn’t do it again ..if you had automatic major punishments for groping then you are forcing them into the corruption route to get their victim to give up.

The lunge complaint would have been nipped in the bud, if she’d complained to HR, they moved her the next day and brought him in for a talking to.

Scientific American one of the most popular Science magazines in the US and elsewhere has told everyone to vote for Joe Biden and not Donald Trump because they claim Donald Trump will destroy the planet.

May I remind Scientific American that Donald Trump has only been in political power for less than four years whereas Joe Biden has been in political power since 1973.

    https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/scientific-american-endorses-joe-biden/

The BBC has reported on it and provided the above link to it but they haven’t yet headlined it.

As their website currently has a flood of anti-Trump articles headlined across it – I expect they will use this story more prominently later.

Meanwhile the BBC have already buried the report of the historic middle east peace deal brokered by Donald Trump (that was only signed yesterday evening British time). They also condemned it for good measure. We know how the BBC would have reported it if it was Barrack Obama brokering the deal.

      “Scientific American” claims authority
but like New Scientist it is merely a vehcle for selling advertising to the gullible.

About 8 years ago it starting routinely censoring reader comments . Then Sept 2013 it closed reader comments completely.

It was been discussed on Sceptic blogs like WUWT, CliScep etc.

\\ Science, Nature, and Scientific American have advanced ultra-liberal policies for a very long time.
I quitmy SA subscription in the 80’s after hearing too much about the dangers of nuclear energy and environmental catastrophes. //

      WUWT article begins
\\ I never in my life thought I’d see this article, never.
I witnessed the corruption of National Geographic and Scientific American into political cesspools, but I never thought this would happen. // now Nature

However the Sciam tweet has incredible support

a level that big timers like Trump himself gets

However considering Sciam have 4million followers it’s only 5% that liked their tweet

They are both now utterly lacking in credibility.

A few years ago I started teasing NS on social media whenever they tried to flog ‘expeditions’ to old biddies to float around in diesel gin palaces, that required rather long haul flights.

        Especially when pushing ‘Climate’ editions.

Barbados ‘wants to remove the Queen as head of state’ , (wouldn’t that be illegal, it would be for the Queen to set them free?).

    The BBC says:

In the context of the Black Lives Matter movement, it will be interesting to see if this sparks wider political pressure on other Caribbean governments to go the same way.
And if this happens, and the removal of the Queen as head of state is placed on a par with, say, the removal of a statue of a slave trader, then that could pose difficult questions for both the British royal family and the Commonwealth.

I don’t believe the Queen has ever been a slave owner. Only in the world of the BBC could this ‘pose difficult questions’, (they are the ones asking after all). Most of us don’t care anyway, it will cut the Royal tours budget.

If Barbados really wanted to make BLM mischief they could appoint Princess Meerkat and her consort as HoS.

In a statement the BBC said: “Some measures are not going in the right direction.

“Headcount has increased from 19,231 to 19,572 and senior leader numbers have gone up from 250 to 253.

An increase, and they dont have the funds??

Why so many people, why so many channels I ask

So we are led to believe that no meaningful discourse was said to have taken place between Wee Krankie and Mr Krankie concerning 2 home visits and meetings with Alex Salmond leading up to disclosure of the charge sheet.

Who do you think you are kidding comes to mind…

Put that into the context of it being a former Conservative P.M.

The bBC would have had a helicopter full of its “investigators”
flying over the household ….and the lead Jockey turning to the cameras and asking…you mean we are to believe that Husband and Wife did’nt speak in micro detail about this?

    “REALLY”

ps Mr Krankie just happens to be Chief Executive of the SNP

Dont just Defund it …CLOSE it DOWN> and that applies equally to the SNP………a horrendous cult with England hatred at its core.
