The Karen Carney thing continues to occupy the media – one of their own . Ms Carney used to play girls football – which makes her a suitable candidate to be a BBC expert .

The other day she passed a comment about Leeds United getting promoted ‘on the back of covid ‘. The club went ballistic – the fans went ballistic .

Anyway – you can guess the rest – she has been on the receiving end ‘because she’s a woman ‘ .. and on it goes .

Ms Carney isn’t that old maybe 30 – so she won’t know about the ‘heritage ‘ of Leeds – in say – the 1970s – but many will know it .

So the kidults are surprised at the backlash . But it shows up how dangerous the BBC ‘social agenda ‘ of tick box gender representation and the like can be ….

( by the way – when she is on Amazon prime she gets ‘tarted up ‘ – but not on the bbc )..

Vaccine distribution. Apparently there is a ‘plan’ for the rapid distribution of a vaccine .

But I bet it was done without factoring in the ability of the private sector to help out . For instance Tesco has offered to use Booker for distribution … and with the expertise of new outfits such as amazon I’d ask – surely to set a target of having the population treated by the end of March … not going into all the months of another failed year – 2021 … ?

It’s ok – I’m ignorant – but I know there are always plenty of people ready to explain why stuff can’t be done ….

Covid rule-breakers ‘have blood on their hands’
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-55479018

BBC allowing some doctor to make unsubstantiated claims that those not wearing masks are murderers. The phrase ‘blood on their hands’ appear 3 times in the article but not evidence presented to back this up.

Makes you wonder how the BBC decide who they give a voice to until you check out the doctor’s bio and find he is also a climate change speaker/writer.

Edit: the doctor is also a fiction writer – oh the irony!

I guess that with the arrival of new vaccines, the statisticians / ONS will be declaring a new column on their daily output of ‘infected’ and ‘deaths’. That is, for those infections / deaths from the Chinese infection of those who have/had already received the vaccine…………………
    Just so we know.

TWatO Watch #1 – the BMA doesn’t like it but scientists advised the Government to do it!

Jonny ‘Staccato Dalek’ Dymond is presenting. The news headline from him is that the vaccine that requires a second inocculation, normally 21 days after the first, will now be delayed. Jonny highlights the opposition of the BMA and the fact that ‘old people’ will be confused by the measure.

Auntie BBC is nearing her century and she is obviously suffering memory problems. It was only just before Christmas that some scientists actually advised that the first dose whould be given but the second delayed until everyone had had a first dose of the vaccine.

I wonder if it will be an actual item on the programme? I shall wait with baited breath – not.

Another annoying thing about TWatO, which I made the mistake of listening to, was the item about Jane Garvey, who has presented her final Woman’s Hour earlier today.

This news was given among the headlines after 13:00 and also featured a shortish sound-bite from her, in which she said she would be happy to always be known as someone who had hosted WH for some years.

How is this news? Why does the BBC presume that the item merits a place in the headlines rather than being, say, a short note near the end of the programme? There is too much news about media people anyway and the BBC does like to advertise for its own.

For the record, Garvey had been on the show for 13 years, hardly a long time nowadays; by comparison, Dame Jenni Murray did 33 years (from 1987) before she too left earlier this year. I preferred Garvey to Murray, while not being a great fan of either of them, but I think the departure of Dame Jenni was worth more than a note, after around a third of a century of presenting the show.

It’s all fairly trivial, I know, but it seems to me another example of the BBC’s self-obsession and self-publicity masquerading as “news”.

I think the BBC this year may have just changed me. I used to want reform of the BBC, preferably by a far-sighted DG of complete integrity and authority.

Now, I think I would be happy to see it sold off – privatised – even to a multi-billionaire from the USA. HMG should give us all shares in the BBC up to 49% of the issued share capital and then flog the BBC off with a controlling interest to Elon Musk or Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg.

TWatO Watch #2 – let’s trail as many vox pop problems across the airwaves about education, schools and Covid as possible, Jonny, and please turn on the grim, solemn voice.

From the start of TWatO the BBC managed almost twenty minutes of handwringing woe, woe and thrice woe about the effect of a sudden delay of school opening up after the Christmas and New Year holidays due to increasing Covid cases. Some school pupils and a sixth form College Principal helpfully described the problems that the decision to delay school opening and the instruction to test pupils for the Civid virus will cause them.

Funny that, the BBC and Jonny Dymond have completely forgotten that Teacher Unions and others were calling for schools to be closed for all of January.

“…..his work with illegal immigrants…”. The secret here is the word, “illegal”.

MBE? Shouldn’t that be a criminal charge by the police under the provisions for Accomplices or accessories under Section 8 of the Accessories and Abettors Act 1861 (to a crime) as a Secondary Party?
S.8 – “Whosoever shall aid, abet, counsel, or procure the commission of [any indictable offence] , whether the same be [an offence] at common law or by virtue of any Act passed or to be passed, shall be liable to be tried, indicted, and punished as a principal offender.” Which means Mr Choudary cops the same fate as the actual offender(s).

Do Telegraph readers and journos read this website?
Yesterday at 1235 I pointed out the difficulty in volunteering or as a paid employee to help with the vaccine roll out, with the strong implication of slow progress.

As if by magic today the Telegraph and various letter writers seem to agree. Why, they ask, is the private sector not involved? Tesco, who know a few things about mass distribution of chilled products have offered, as have hotels as venue experts. But nothing happens. The NHS is keen to protect itself, get the glory, and keep everyone else out, and sod those of us waiting for action.

A 72 year old ex GP friend contacted the local Clinical Commissioning Group to help. No joy. So she spoke to the lead partner of her old practice. He’d take her tomorrow, but she is regarded by the officials as too old to stick a needle in someone’s arm. The CCG plan to vaccinate using only existing resources. We’ll still be waiting in 2022 at that rate.

As useless incompetence goes, this one is off the scale. But pretty normal for our world class NHS.

PS Israel has already vaccinated 25% of its entire population over the age of 60.

A timely reminder of a very principled man. Of the left but not really Bennite.
Have never really understood why the left of Labour was Eurosceptic but not the centre right of Labour. What was the principled difference? Was it tactical? A recognition that pure socialism was unobtainable if within the EEC?

And really ditto the Tories. Ken Clarke was pretty right wing as Chancellor and a believer in sound money. Yet he was an arch federalist, painting his Eurosceptics as right wing nutters.
That Labour Left/ Tory right link always seemed to define the laws of physics.
But the really good news is that after 11 pm tonight we don’t need to worry about any of it any more.

I’ve taken an in depth look at what’s going on, ‘streetwise’ in the US and I’ve concluded that with the plethora of new entrants on YouTube sharing the truth, it certainly seems that politics will never be the same again in the US. I’m convinced that, in the worst event, i.e. Harris takes occupation of the White House, they (and all the commies in support) will never survive the people even medium/long term. The people are angry and sure getting organised. Not just over the current issue of the November election but, it will never be said again that the people simply don’t pay attention. 71 million have awoken to what’s in store if the unvoted for, take control. I do hope that the fraud is formally and comprehensively exposed come 06/01 but, if not, any politician thinking they have a safe position will be totally wrong. Exceptional changes/movement will be the order, shame it is not happening here to get rid of people/political parties that do no good for the people.

The BBC running a claim by an outfit called “Autonomy” that we should all have a 4 day working week…

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55485010

A quick look at the Autonomy think tank website reveals what they are all about and it’s political Marxism in new clothes, all the staff are recent graduates in political arenas, this is the profile of one member of staff picked at random.

    Kathi Weeks

Kathi Weeks teaches in the Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies Program at Duke University. Her primary interests are in political theory, feminist theory, Marxist thought, the critical study of work, and utopian studies. She is the author of Constituting Feminist Subjects (re-issued by Verso in 2018) and The Problem with Work: Feminism, Marxism, Antiwork Politics and Postwork Imaginaries (Duke UP, 2011), and a co-editor of The Jameson Reader (Blackwell, 2000).”

Further down the page it runs a link to a story from 2019 about Labours John McDonnell promising a 32 hour week at the Labour Party Conference.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-49798357

Coincidence? No this is political activism at work right inside the BBC. It fits the World Order mantra of crippling the private self-supporting individual and forcing them to be under State Control.

    This is crazy.

Edinson Cavani: Man Utd forward banned over Instagram post.
A close friend had congratulated him on Instagram and his response was ‘Gracias negrito’ (Thank you little black one). This is a term of endearment or affection to a friend, particularly in Uruguay, Cavani’s homeland. It can be misconstrued in other parts of the World as being offensive.

When it was pointed out to him, Cavani apologised and removed the post.

The Football Association have fined him £100,000 and banned him for 3 matches.

The FA said in imposing the punishment “A comment posted on the Manchester United FC striker’s Instagram page was insulting, abusive, improper and brought the game into disrepute contrary to FA Rule E3.1. The post also constitutes an ‘aggravated breach’, which is defined in FA Rule E3.2, as it included reference, whether express or implied, to colour and/or race and/or ethnic origin”.

Man Utd caved in and said “Despite his honest belief that he was simply sending an affectionate thank you in response to a congratulatory message from a close friend, he chose not to contest the charge out of respect for, and solidarity with, the FA and the fight against racism in football ”.

Effectively the F A’s interpretation is the misconstrued one, but it does get me thinking that footballers who don’t bother or refuse to kneel may also be “insulting abusive or improper”. Oh hang on I’m getting confused perhaps those who do kneel are committing the ‘crime’ (as that is what it now appears to be under Rule E3 .1 blah blah).

Initials of F A seems quite appropriate really in light of their response.

The Beeb’s ‘ football’ reporter commented “There is sympathy for the Uruguayan in what was an innocent personal post. However, there is simply no excuse for not being aware of the wider aspect of the society he is living in – and either he should have been aware, or the club should have made him aware of the offence it could cause”. Nicely tailored to fit their agenda.

Now I do wonder if people in the UK started to throw forward the argument to others of, shall we say an ethnic minority of ‘Being aware of the wider aspect of society they are living in’ and what the reaction would be.

“SIR Lewis Hamilton but Jimmy Greaves only gets an MBE?’ Furious social media users say it’s an ‘insult’ that the England football legend was overlooked for a knighthood in New Year’s honours

Greaves is included in the Honours revealed yesterday, after Sportsmail campaigned for his achievements, inexplicably overlooked for so many years.

He became a beloved public figure for decades after a successful football career which saw him score 357 goals in the top-flight of English football for Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham – which stands as a record almost 50 years after his last game.

Greaves also scored 44 goals in 57 games for England and was part of the World Cup-winning squad in 1966, though injury denied him a place in the final.

He became one of Spurs’ all-time greats and holds the club scoring record with 268 goals, winning the FA Cup in 1962 and 1967 and the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1963, the same year the club finished second in the old First Division.”

He didn’t play in the 1966 World Cup final because Alf Ramsey preferred Roger Hunt. Note that if Geoff Hurst’s second goal hadn’t crossed the line, Hunt was there on the spot to tap in the rebound if necessary but didn’t because it wasn’t. Roger Hunt only got a belated MBE too even though he was at the core of Bill Shankly’s mighty Liverpool team of the 1960s. Alan Ball, who played a blinder that day in midfield, only got an MBE too. Greaves’s MBE may be late coming but at least he got one. Let’s hear it for Ron Flowers too. John Connelly, who died in 2012 and actually played for England in the tournament, never got anything.

Why is football still being played when large tracts of the country are locked down? These teams and their hangers on should not be travelling the length and breadth of the countryside to kick a ball, along with all the hugging and kissing they indulge in. It needs to be stopped.

We have a truce with Europe. We do not yet have a settlement.
    by Ambrose Evans-Pritchard

Brexiteers have secured the essential possibilities that they sought. This country emerges from the negotiating ordeal battered and chastened but nevertheless a self-governing sovereign democracy in the remaking, if it can rebuild its institutions after 40 years of hollowing out and creeping political infantilism.

Brexiteers have secured the essential possibilities that they sought. This country emerges from the negotiating ordeal battered and chastened but nevertheless a self-governing sovereign democracy in the remaking, if it can rebuild its institutions after 40 years of hollowing out and creeping political infantilism…

The “direct effect” of EU law invented by euro-judges in the 1960s with breathtaking boldness – and with no treaty justification – is finally over. Lex est anima totius corporis popularis: law is the collective mind of the people. It is elemental. We have retrieved it….

There is certainly going to be trouble because Britain must legally change its regulatory system in order to join the Asian trade bloc (TPP). This will become the biggest free trade zone by far once the United States accedes under Joe Biden, ultimately leaving the EU as the much smaller economic area, and also as the world’s slow-growth backwater if it is not careful.

The moment that the UK starts to make these changes, Brussels will scream divergence, or make accusations of “unfair competition”. It is a clash of two incompatible philosophies on what constitutes free trade and what drives the process of economic development and wealth creation. But this battle must be had….

The imperative now is to join the TPP and to secure a deep free trade deal with the US as fast as possible. Britain must never again find itself in a position where the EU controls so many chokeholds. We must break reliance on Dover and spread food purchases far and wide, as competitive logic dictates in any case…

Brussels threatened to cut off Britain’s electricity interconnectors at the height of winter if it did not come to heel. Once played, that card cannot be unplayed. The interconnectors are no longer politically safe. This country must push faster for energy self-sufficiency, bringing forward electrolysis to convert North Sea wind power into hydrogen and synthetic fuels for global export.

It must restructure industrial supply lines rapidly, almost if reorganising the economy for wartime mobilisation. Only then does the “rebalancing mechanism” lose its menace. Only then do we take the sting out of “cross retaliation”. Only then can we have a stable relationship with Europe.

    [end] Edited.

Reading this made me rush to our overall energy consumption.
    • See: http://www.gridwatch.templar.co.uk

    • We are reliant on just under (10%) wind power.
    • The French have an (Nuclear) input on currently (5%) of the power intake
    • Half the nations power is Gas or Coal (50%) imported from outside EU.

Its madness to rely solely on Wind power alone (although the BBC manage to survive) but I doubt even they could survive on just 10% electricity wind power.

Energy is a factor we can win against the might of the EU. We have not had to do this before and Germany is highly reliant on Russian Gas and has limited coastline for wind power. France is largely nuclear but restricted by technology developed by the UK back in the 1960’s. That is when Labour decide that nuclear was ‘toxic’. The French proved our ideas were workable.

We have the power to relaunch this technology. We can also install ‘whirly’ Windmills to keep the BBC types happy, but the bulk of our power will be high tech nuclear. Or even Coal, We have the cleanest COAL in Europe. Remember Germany relies on the dirtiest (cheap) COAL from Poland and thanks to ‘GREENIES’ having taken over the German economy, they have a much bigger hurdle and than we do.

We have the scale, the internationalism, the commonwealth (including AUS and NZ and India) to create a bigger wealth pool than the EU overnight.

This is not the end but the beginning. The EU will try to stop us at every opportunity. The BBC will try to unravel the outcome, the EU centric centralist and they believe in SOCIALISM in all its forms. They cannot help it. Its not a bias (for the world they inhabit) it is normal requirement, since Blair.

The media itself is changing in to a virtual world. Nothing is real. Removed from reality they compensate with massive self-gratification payments to keep ‘people on board’ disillusioned, depressed, short-attention span youth, anxiety prone ‘wierdies’ of (Climate/Gender/Race) and lacking any experience of the ‘outside-world’ they seek to undermine here in the UK. The problem is, as commentators have said before me is that the new MEDIA itself has become a huge DISTORTION mirror totally from reality into political dogma.

The huge investment the BBC made in Twitter and Facebook and to some extent in Google (the BBC even have their own BBC channel youtube) and rely (despite denials) on NUJ journalists on Twitter to stoke up controversy as a (contained) ‘Twitter storm’ which the BBC can later deny. They see it as cheap BBC publicity Good or Bad they claim credit for both. The low down is that the BBC has no values to support, no morality to influence output and no shareholders (like other companies and institutions) it is self-serving. It’s total DNA is just the survival of the License fee. That is the only way they can pay themselves vast amounts.

That is why the BBC must be purged. It is a scourge on society, it has no morals, no values and is claims to be moderating when it is a serial perpetrator of injustices it claims to be remedying. It rejoices in that controversy. Perversion as reality. Children as playthings for the rich.

We really have to get rid of the BBC. The EU exists primarily within the BBC. They are fifth columnists. They would never deny either.

That is a new year resolution we have to make stick. We know how well the BBC wriggle out of all responsibility for bias which is obvious to all and it has spread. We need a lock down and new climate change at the BBC to include ALL the peoples of the UK, not just the 8% to tell us how it is. We know how it is. Utter Bullshit BBC, times are changing and much better broadcasters are the way forward. This is the future of Broadcasting – AND its NOT the BBC!

I look foreword to several hundred UK broadcasters and the end to BBC dominance.
This is the future of the UK. Grass rooted, enterprising, enabling, truly (conservative) environmentally, anti-bureaucratic, profitable. i.e. all the things the BBC is not.

I raise a glass to that. And we are OUT of the EU at least (despite BREXIT) BBC doom mongers, it won’t be easy for a few years. I know that. I voted freedom, we have a dream. It does not include the BBC. The BBC does not represent the resolve of people of the UK who have suffered enough.

We want out and have got it. Finally at 11pm tonight.

When I was studying EU law I was astonished by the ‘direct effect ‘ of Brussells ‘ laws – and how the UK took great effort in putting them straight into UK legislation – even if they didn’t aid the UK – whilst other EU countries ignored them and got a free ride in terms of enforcement . So many reasons to get away from that corruption ….
