Midweek Thread 24th March 2021

As the Far Left anti British BBC asks for more money – the forthcoming New TV station will give an ideal indication of as to the trust( or lack of it ) the public have in BBC content . The sooner this compulsory funded monopoly is challenged and broken – the better .

There are currently 27 open Have You Says on the BBC websites. 14 of those are about Covid, 7 are about Brexit or the economy.

A refreshing change will be the upcoming Have Your Say about the teacher suspended for the Mohammed cartoon news.

Anyone know what time that will be open for comments?

11am Another radio4 prog claiming to debunk conspiracy theories
    .. today part 3
I expect the series actually pushes conspiracies
I started to listen .. he’s talking about a contemporary drama about a liberal president.. then the next moment is saying “but at the time the HARD RIGHT were asking for”
… hang on is he talking about the drama still or the real world ?
cos I can’t tell ..so I check the tweet to R4

This just came up : On Wednesday Sangita Myska ran a prog “Future Proofing Our Schools”
.. it seemed really wish washy dreamy ideas
.. schools with no classes or teachers etc.

Now she just put out this protest tweet

What I see is professional teachers criticising her prog
and her responding by belittling them
eg Oh dear. And this is how you treat debate in your class.
And you call yourself a teacher?
    etc.

11 May 2020 “BBC reporter suffers racist abuse in Leicester street”
Despite the BBC accusation that was not in the initial complaint, but that was added later .. it was never proved in court
Rather the guy was punished by bail conditions and preliminary court cases, before it was apparently dropped

I might have misled readers . I said Thd false president did ok at the press conference . The DT reports that ALL questions were submitted a day before the press conference and that Biden read the answers from ‘cue ‘ cards – which he even managed to screw up .

The sequence was also ‘preset’ – so it wasn’t a press conference at all ….. knowing this – he was awful ….

No wonder the BBC has not reported on it much – his only public live outing since stealing the White House .I can’t believe the Americans haven’t burnt it down

It was a ruddy disgrace. Waffling for over an hour, softball, pre-advised questions from some of the press, (others, like Fox were ignored) no come back on his “answers”, and frequent forays into fantasy land.

As you say, how the American people can watch this drivel, and do nothing, is beyond me – especially when you compare his lacklustre, wishy-washy and senile performance with that of his predecessor, who expressed verve and interest, and who wasted not a moment in telling the press exactly what he though of them.

BBC twitter is strongly pushing a MishalHusain interview with the mother of those 2 black girls murdered in a London park last year
‘Daughters’ deaths not as urgent because of race’

tweets say ‘there was no huge outcry until Sarah Everhard, cos those victims were black’

Nope each case has it’s own dynamics and coverage usually dies down due to sub judice
And this case young black guy Danyal Hussein was charged and is awaiting trial
The racism is that libmob don’t want to appear to be against special victimhood group perps, but will against white perps.

BTW in many photos one daughter looks very white.

Breaking : Monday court case put off
AB says that Notts Police had already got another court case coming against him “on another civil matter”
.. bit strange he’s never mentioned it before, but that might be lawyers advice.

Anyways Notts Police have now requested that case be delayed for one month.
There’s a video but his title is the usual clickbait contradiction https://youtu.be/-CfnrykUa9w

        A couple of points
#1 Callers said the TSG van probably came from London cos they are the tough team that deal with bombers etc.

#2 He switched lawyers a year back,
the first set had accepted a police line “we just made a mistake again”
The second set had said don’t believe that cos it’s a cover for malicious stuff.

He mentioned that a BBC insider had tried to get 17 of his videos banned from YouTube
And that has implications cos YouTube normally bans the whole channel after 3 strikes.
Actually I already knew that all of the AB videos about the BBC £1,000 that was take for one thing and then given to charity instead of being returned, are unavailable and mostly marked “subject to defamation claim”
I’d guessed that BBC lawyers were claiming that Vine had been defamed personally.
AFAIK AB always quoted Vine saying “we gave the money away”, meaning “we the BBC team”
Eventually Vine after many requests quoted an FOI saying that Vine had never personally touched the money.
AB has in the past directly accused Vine of saying he’d never heard of the £1,000, and that that must be a lie.

          A Belfield point I forgot
#4 A number of callers suggested that when police do these weird raids
          i. It’s to intimidate
ii. It’s to plant evidence or listening devices, or a tracker on your car etc
… to interrogate your cars tracking data to see where you’ve been

That seem a bit conspiracy theory
Your tracking is all in your phone
but you can choose to have GPS switched off and switching off your phone altogether would leave them without even cell tower data.
If someone spotted the police had hidden a device in your house
then that would be such a huge problem for police.

TWatO Watch #1 – in which I detect a slight Labour Party bias

Jonny’Staccato’ Dymond in the chair as the Montacutie has disappeared for her long weekend. Agonising listening to the halting speech – why don’t the BBC train Jonny to do it properly? Perhaps like James Naughtie was rumoured to have done, Jonny has refused any further training.

Anyway, the China ‘sanctions’ on various MPs and UK citizens are the subject for this programme. Contributors Christopher Tugenhadt (Con) and Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the House with Lisa Nandy (Lab). The telephone line to the Conservative MP failed, now, there’s a thing!, and Lisa Nandy told a porkie that Jonny Dymond missed challenging her on – there’s another thing!

Lisa Nandy claimed that the Tories were very cosy with China, talking tough in the House but doing business deals whenever no-one was looking and this had been going on for ten years. Ten years? TEN YEARS? It has being going on for nearly 24 years and which Party was in government from mid-1997 to 2010?

    Oh yes, the Labour Party.

Robin Knox-Johnston was introduced to the programme as the man who was the first to sail single-handedly around the world. First? FIRST? Ahem! Cough! Splutter! Some of us remember Sir Francis Chichester being the first to do that in 1966/67.

TWatO Watch #3 – in which I detect some further BBC bias in favour of the Labour Party.

All this week the programme and Sarah Montague have been looking forward to the end of Lockdown restrictions and have been considering not just what they might do (Sarah partying with Martha Kearney at the pub?) but what could be improved because the virus has shown up inequalities in the UK, blah, blah, blah. Yes, especially Beeboids who have been able to pocket colossal pay-packets courtesy of the TV Licence Fee-payer. Not mentioned.

It has been interesting who has contributed regularly to this multi-part feature in the programme Monday to Friday this week. Jonathan Powell, Labour Party adviser and Chief of Staff to Tony Blair while Blair was PM. Sir Michael Marmot – he did work on health for the Labour Government 1997-2010. David Willetts was a previous Conservative Party Minister and was another contributor. It might be fair to say the as a Minister, particularly after 2010, David Willetts continued or enhanced Labour policies while being part of a Conservative-led Coalition government. He could be said to be ‘of the soft-Left’.

Sir William Beveridge got mentioned a lot. Dead. But briefly a Liberal Party politician. All this week, the programme has pointed to the changes effected following his 1942 report, made by a Labour Government under Clement Attlee as PM in 1945.

Strangely, Before Beveridge Came (see what I did there?) about, no social reforms had ever taken effect before, especially under the wicked, evil, harsh ‘Toreees’ when they were in government. There was no mention of Mass-Observation from 1937 onwards or the government of the day, a Conservative Party-led Coalition.

    Funny, that.

It’s not like a credit card debt.” Yet, on the other hand, he’s on the Board of Surrey Satellite Technology and is something of a spokesperson for them.

It would be nice to hope that this signals a return to the correct team car livery of silver, something established over decades and never previously affected by dubious political posturing, even at the height of Nazi propaganda.
As for Hamilton, reports suggest that he could well be behind the wheel of the new BLM, a car to which he has devoted time and energy at design and development stages. Powered uniquely by hot air it is also said to have violent handling characteristics.

Fedup- It looked like to me that BIG BROTHER from the
diversity department of the BBC had complete control
over the contents of the 6PM TV national news this evening.
Firstly we had the 50th anniversary of the State of
Bangladesh. We then had the Batley Muslims up in arms
over the teacher daring to teach the kids what happened
in Paris to the employees of Charlie Hebdo. I better not
mention the name of a 7th century pedophile war lord
who came up with a terrific idea for a new religion. I may be
      beheaded.
The next “feature” was the one you write about. But I suppose
it’s sub judice to say to much about it. Other than the fact
that whilst having the greatest sympathy for the two sisters
and their family it’s a fact that one of the reasons there
was not a lot of news coverage as compared to the
Clapham Common tragedy is that certain sections of the
black ethnic community don’t take BLM as seriously
when mattering about the lives of their black brothers and
sisters when they are murdering each other , on quite a regular basis.
Oh I forger to mention the whitey feature which was a prominent
story as well. A Major General in the army fiddled his expenses
to the tune of a good few thousand pounds to pay for
his kids school fees. I want to congratulate you BIG BROTHER
for a terrific example of virtue signalling . However I can

Reading the dailies on line (I won’t buy one), I noticed a story about a 20 month old child who died in YWCA housing in Brighton. Apparently the mother, a 20 year old, went to London and the Midlands on a 6 day birthday binge. She left the child in the accommodation without food or water. The YWCA do not inspect the accommodation whilst it is tenanted and there was no supervision from Social Services.

I don’t know if it has graced the BBC yet, but may not due to the colour of the single mother.

I caught the tale end of The Now Show .

Satire of a BBC satire will always be funnier , because basically the BBC “comedies “start from a very low base – they aren’t funny .

So there was an anti Trump and anti Brexit sneer , a “ comedian “ who told us he was black and Britain is racist , and a women singer who would be funnyish in a pub after several beers but obviously a failure if script written, rehearsed , and purports to be professional.

I cannot remember whether this should be a TOADY Watch or a TWatO Watch – I have just been reminded that it is 50 years since Bangladesh became independent. The attitude of the BBC was that it was awful colonialism and imperial subjugation that Bangladesh escaped from 50 years ago. No, that happened in 1947, twenty-four years before 1971.

Did the BBC deliberately set out to deceive? Yes, it is possible that they wanted to demonstrate their ‘wokeness’ to the Socialists of every colour all over again.

But far more likely it could be age related memory loss. The BBC forgot that Bangladesh used to be East Pakistan and the Bengalis wished in 1970 and 1971 to escape the rule of West Pakistan.

Immediately an awful war took place between the former East and West Pakistan. Interestingly, within a few months lots of those awful white men and others intervened to stop the suffering and bring about peace. Compare and contrast with the conflict in Syria reaching its tenth anniversary this year.

      Dobyns,

Just watched the 18 Republican Senators who are visiting the US-Mexico border gives their assessment of the ongoing and escalating immigrant crisis there.

They didn’t miss Biden and hit the wall. Similarly his decision to appoint Harris to sort it out, who at one time compared ICE to the KKK, was met with unanimous contempt, as was the medias lack of honest coverage and their blatant attempt to make the situation appear to be a legacy of Trump rather than the fault of the current Democratic administration.

It was live on YouTube. Nothing on the bBbc that I can see.

Paul Homewood :One of the curious things about the BBC
is how their Scottish operation fawns over the SNP so much
This time they have published a grossly disingenuous article about renewables there,
which goes on to put most of the credit on Scotland’s climate targets:

“38% of Scottish generation in total was exported to England last year,”
The trick is that the English are paying vast sums for infrastructure to be able to import this leccy
and this cost is not imposed on the Scots.

Although I greatly fear the inevitable conquest of Britain by the followers of Mo, one thing fills me with cheer is the rewards handed out to the lefties and Guardian writers. Because our conquerors will not expect their minds to be filled with Guardian beliefs.
