Our BBC lost a money-spinner when they sacked Clarkson. But, our BBC does not need to worry about financial loss.

Sky in the same circumstances would sensibly have kept him.

Jeremy has the last laugh as he laughs every day on his way to the bank.

One of his recent quotes stated that the sat-navs of German built Mini Coopers always take you to Poland.

When you step back and think about how Prime exploited the talent of clarkson – the format – the content – it just shows how screwed up the BBC is
Could you imagine that series being put out by the BBC – without the agenda of Race Climate Disability Sexual Orientation boxes all ticked every episode ?

In ignorance – I haven’t seen ‘country file ‘ for maybe 30 years – but I bet none of the stuff Clarkson covers gets shown there .

Jeremy Clarkson did go to a market to buy his sheep I think. He said that Amazon had told him to film diversity at the market, and he said he had. It was as diverse a group of old white farmers as he could find. (I may have paraphrased slightly). However it is obvious it is exactly how the BBC work and they would never film a farming market because it is too white although I wouldn’t put it past them to ship in a few black extras for the filming.

The phrase ‘black sheep’ for those extras would be absolutely appropriate.

Talking of filming diversity I recently read Clarissa Dickson Wright’s autobiography of which I’ll post a short passage of it when she was talking to her co-star Johnny Scott about the series ‘Clarissa and the Countryman’ and doing a piece about hare coursing.

‘We discussed the possibility of filming the Waterloo Cup.As you may imagine the BBC were not keen on the idea, until Johnny cast a clever fly, ‘A lot of Pakistanis go to the cup’ he remarked. The BBC bit ethnics wow televisual.

    For discussion.
England are in the Euro final.

    That’s England. Note, England.
Not Scotland or Wales or the UK or GB or even NI.

And, though I don’t go along with all its excesses, the country has gone a little bit mad but hey we deserve a break.

Here’s the question, in this woke age where ordinary English people are so subjugated by the BBC and others into accepting a diet of Leftoid drivel, is our current level of English patriotism in part a two fingered salute back to the BBC leftoid agenda, being one of a small number of such patriotic gestures the wokes will still allow us to get away with?

They don’t allow us St George’s day, and the CPS won’t prosecute illegal asylum seekers. So when the people occasionally get the chance to express themselves freely and without the fear of sanction, they take the chance with gusto.

In a few weeks time an unrelenting diet of BLM, ER, LGBTQxyz, equality and disability narratives will put the people back in their box. But for now, for once, a little freedom for the majority to be ourselves.

An important point about this story is that they were heard bragging about it to others.
That’s because their mates will be impressed by it and don’t actually think it’s wrong.
The excuse is the same as the Muslim rape gangs here. White girls are trash because they show flesh and wear makeup.
You will never read that on the BBC. But they don’t miss any stories about someone far-right being arrested like recently in Germany – even though he had only planned something, not actually done it.
It’s the massive hypocrisy of the Left which bugs me the most.

“Ten Obvious Reasons Why Islam is Not a Religion of Peace”

        #1

18,000 deadly terror attacks committed explicitly in the name of Islam in just the last ten years. (Other religions combined for perhaps a dozen or so).

        #2

Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, had people killed for insulting him or for criticizing his religion. This included women.

Muslims are told to emulate the example of Muhammad.

        #3

Muhammad said in many places that he has been “ordered by Allah to fight men until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is his messenger.” In the last nine years of his life, he ordered no less than 65 military campaigns to do exactly that.

Muhammad inspired his men to war with the basest of motives, using captured loot, sex and a gluttonous paradise as incentives. He beheaded captives, enslaved children and raped women captured in battle. Again, Muslims are told to emulate the example of Muhammad.

        #4

After Muhammad died, the people who lived with him and knew his religion best immediately fell into war with each other.

Fatima, Muhammad’s favorite daughter, survived the early years among the unbelievers at Mecca safe and sound, yet died of stress from the persecution of fellow Muslims only six months after her father died. She even miscarried Muhammad’s grandchild after having her ribs broken by the man who became the second caliph.

It was this same caliph, Umar, who ordered the death of the first convert to Islam at Medina, an elderly leader who became a close companion to Muhammad and proved his worth in battle. Sa’d ibn Ubadah was killed after a failed bid to be caliph.

Fatima’s husband Ali, who was the second convert to Islam and was raised like a son to Muhammad, fought a civil war against an army raised by Aisha, Muhammad’s favorite wife – and one whom he had said was a “perfect woman.” 10,000 Muslims were killed in a single internal battle waged less than 25 years after Muhammad’s death.

Three of the first four Muslim rulers (caliphs) were murdered. All of them were among Muhammad’s closest companions. The third caliph was killed by allies of the son of the first (who was murdered by the fifth caliph a few years later, then wrapped in the skin of a dead donkey and burned). The fourth caliph (Ali) was stabbed to death after a bitter dispute with the fifth. The fifth caliph went on to poison one of Muhammad’s two favorite grandsons. The other grandson was later beheaded by the sixth caliph.

The infighting and power struggles between Muhammad’s family members, closest companions and their children only intensified with time. Within 50 short years of Muhammad’s death, even the Kaaba, which had stood for centuries under pagan religion, lay in ruins from internal Muslim war…

And that’s just the fate of those within the house of Islam!

        #5

Muhammad directed Muslims to wage war on other religions and bring them into submission to Islam. Within the first few decades following his death, his Arabian companions invaded and conquered Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist and Zoroastrian lands. A mere 25 years after Muhammad’s death, Muslim armies had captured land and people within the modern borders of over 28 countries outside of Saudi Arabia.

        #6

Muslims continued their Jihad against other religions for 1400 years, checked only by the ability of non-Muslims to defend themselves. To this day, not a week goes by that Islamic fundamentalists do not attempt to kill Christians, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists explicitly in the name of Allah.

None of these other religions are at war with each other.

        #7

Islam is the only religion that has to retain its membership by formally threatening to kill anyone who leaves. This is according to the example set by Muhammad.

        #8

Islam teaches that non-Muslims are less than fully human. Muhammad said that Muslims can be put to death for murder, but that a Muslim could never be put to death for killing a non-Muslim.

        #9

The Quran never once speaks of Allah’s love for non-Muslims, but there are hundreds of verses that speak of Allah’s cruelty toward and hatred of non-Muslims.

        #10

What always makes me laugh is when the Lefty group-thinkers say we can’t blame Islam because Muslims also kill other Muslims.

Double your money, take it or leave it and Alpha-types

Remember that old TV quiz show with Hughie Green named Double Your Money?

I don’t so much recall sitting down to the actual show (though blessed with some modest wisdom that comes of age, I’m not yet Methuselah) more the catchy phrase double your money, which was popular. I’m reminded of it for some reason as I read a news feature with this headline:

BBC:’Covid: Woman aged 90 died with double variant infection

It’s almost as though someone sat a bunch of advertising experts and PR gurus around a table and asked them to come up with some ideas to keep the fear of covid going.

Anyone watch the US retro TV show Mad Men? Imagine the team of creatives at Sterling Cooper the early 1960s fictional Manhattan ad agency, scratching their heads stuck for ideas, until the sauve Don Draper enters the office, pours himslef a double bourbon and lights a cigarette, settles onto the office couch, nonchalantly with one arm around a secretary and says: “Our product line began with Covid. We developed the concept into Mutations… which we rebranded as Varients. Last season we launched Long Covid, aimed at the youth market… surveys tell us our brand recogintion is stuck at 50%… the answer, gentlemen, is obvious… how about Double Covid!

It is a silly notion of course – as if sensible professional government scientific academic experts and – heaven forbid – NHS leaders ever imagine themselves in the boys only imaginary realm of that pre-feminism office enviroment inhabited by some Alpha-male fictional louche character played by Jon Hamm… Prof Neil Ferguson…? Matt Hancock…?

By Michelle Roberts Health editor, BBC News online: ‘It is possible to catch two Covid variants at the same time, experts are warning after seeing a double infection in a 90-year-old woman who became sick with the Alpha and Beta types first identified in the UK and South Africa.

I haven’t really been concentrating that hard, do I read this report as saying Britain has the honour of the Alpha-type? What would Xi Jinping say to that? “Bruddy Blitish… nabbing our inventions and intellectual property and palming it off as their own

The obsession with Covid is unarguably running the whole damned show. If one were to properly medically triage the nation – triage meaning “the assignment of degrees of urgency to wounds or illnesses to decide the order of treatment of a large number of patients or casualties” – then one would certainly have to think again:

Hospital waiting lists could top 13 million in months, warns Javid‘ (Times) – the small bald Indian guru has a point our stale pale Sages Whitty and Vallance seem blind to – but since Boris and his team has run the Covid campaign so determinedly and run it for so sustained a period to have lodged the product in the mind of the public as sucessfully and indelibly as the Playtex Cross Your Heart bra or Heinz 57 varieties and – counterintuitively – the product has stuck most firmly in the minds of his political opponents (Sir Keir, BBC) – then he’s somewhat snookered himself.

Which might have brought us to the subject of sport…

But as much as one personally wishes England all the best… there are subjects we’ve all heard quite enough of already.

Woke up this morning, and had a little bet as to how long I could look at the BBC website before seeing a blatant piece of propaganda. Have a look at the front page before it changes please. A group of cheering fans for the big match this evening. In the centre? A woman in a headscarf with an edge far more defined than anything else on the picture, looking in a different direction to everybody else. The big giveaway, however, is that whoever is doing the photoshopping has left a burly builders’ arm from the original “cast member”. So my original bet was way off. The first piece of bias or propaganda took about five seconds to spot. I haven’t worked out how to upload pictures yet, so if any kind soul could help I’ d like to invite comment. I watched a tiny bit of the BBC News channel about 8:35am. It had a new Indian (I think) presenter struggling to read the auto cue but she ticks the box.

They then cut to another Indian presenter interviewing sick patients in a hospital ward. How the hell can the BBC access a hospital to ask stupid questions with the current covid risk? She wore a mask so thats reduces the risk by 1% so that must be OK.

The questions she asked were painful to listen to. She wasn’t listening to the patients answers and just kept asking the next preprepared question. She asked one old chap, “Now you don’t think England might win do you?”. He replied, “no I don’t”. She then asked, “Errr…. erm… do you think Italy might win then?”. Him, “well what is the alternative?”.

Back to the studio and a bit from the Indian sports presenter.

Then a piece from Wolverhampton where Indians are performing Bangra dance to the tune of “football coming home”.

Typical BBC. England about to win a major football tournament and they fill the programme with everyone and everything from India to show their hated for the English.

Edit: now a piece from Bedford “where 1 in 5 people are Italian”. So more non English making it on to the BBC.

Edit2: Finally interviewing a real English person. Just happens to be a council estate white overweight woman who can barely speak English – the type of white Brexiter the BBC used to always find for comments. Normality was soon restored by next interviewing an Itailian followed by another Indian from the same estate.

This one is right up there with their explicit assertions that Trumps election fraud claims were false. Even though there is no possible way they could know that.

I’m reading that the eu still wants £40 billion from us.
Even though we voted to leave and actually left months ago.
We have, as a net contributor, already paid many many £billions.

It’s supposed to be for commitments and eu pensions.

Does that mean all the net recipients, if any left the eu, would continue being paid after they were no longer in the eu?

We are such a soft touch.
Have we no politicians who will fight for us instead of instantly crumbling when the eu tells them what they demand.

We voted to leave (wto) and not this pathetic fudge.
Why can’t the politicians respect the vote and do what we voted for.
Just like immigration. They say what we want to hear but don’t do anything.

I know it isn’t the BBC for which I apologise, but it used to be another British institution.
I just received my English heritage members magazine.

    Nothing English about it.

Contents page features huge picture of Indian family of four walking around Kirby Hall. Two pages later a full page about new portraits of Africans supposedly connected with English heritage properties, ‘painting our past, the African diaspora in england’ , three pages later a six page feature of the Indian family exploring Kirby Hall.

Before throwing magazine in the bin. I did a count of the first 20 pages.

Photos or pictures of White perhaps English people in first 20 pages : ( excluding adverts) :10 .. one of them smiling next to a pig .. ‘Gammon’ reference perhaps ?

Photos or pictures of Indian, Africans or other non whites in English locations in first 20 pages : 24.

( where more than one person in one photo I count each person)

If I didn’t use Membership to save money visiting places I would cancel immediately. Maybe somehow I can take action ‘ from the inside’.

Difference there being I guess there is more choice in that even though I don’t use the BBC, simply in order to watch other channels I still have to pay for it. Then again maybe not as we as taxpayers subsidie English heritage too. Sigh. Our country is lost.

It has just occurred to me that there is a very strong parallel between Islam and the Liberal Woke Left, and that is the core principle that you are empowered to ruthlessly attack anyone who disagrees with you. The only difference is the terminology, the followers of M would call it blasphemy, the woke call it hate speech. Basically exactly the same principle at work.

Could that explain the deafening silence from the left regarding the regular brutal acts perpetrated by the followers of M?

The BBC home page is rather like shifting sands this morning re the mask furore.

They kicked off early with a headline which basically said,

“Mask wearing will continue to be required indoors.”

The text behind this was a bit waffly and actually only included an opinion of some politburo person but appeared to be adamant that we must all continue to wear masks under threat of prosecution…

However, the headline has now morphed into “Mask wearing still expected.”

So.. they have had to grudgingly (almost) admit that they were actually quoting the personal opinion of one politician and not the Government position at all. However they have carefully shifted the emphasis of the story in order to level blame at anyone who doesn’t go along with it.

Alway the same tired tactics of hoping the dramatic headline will colour peoples perspective rather than just do their job and report the facts.

I am in the camp of letting experts in the healthcare field who have the stats produce advice to the Government on best practice.

Then the Government can adopt either laws or advice as they see fit.

What I don’t like or respect is a National News organisation to have a cosy chat with someone and take their personal opinion and try to sell it to Joe Public as cast in stone merely because it suits that organisations own agenda.

They have even set up a “helpful” video on how to wear your mask correctly.

“BBC’s Laura Foster explains how to wear your mask correctly and help stop coronavirus spreading.”

The fact that the population have been forced to wear these masks for months so if they haven’t got the hang of it by now this is a bit stable door, horse bolted stuff isn’t it?

They tried to sell wind energy as a clean fuel while they admitted that they could not recycle the worn out propellors .

ITBB July has several good new posts, including one from an as ever forensic Craig.

    ***

Fans of the BBC’s find-to-find Complaints pages have a couple of new gems to read:

Firstly, there’s a new ‘clarification’, published two days ago, acknowledging a factual cock-up with a ‘COVID in care homes’ graph on the 27 January 2021 edition of ‘Newsnight’.

‘Newsnight’ used ”the wrong figures”, the BBC says.

This BBC ‘clarification’ explicitly calls it a ”mistake”.

Typically, it’s taken 6 months for the BBC to publicly acknowledge the ”mistake” [on an out-of-the-way part of their website], and the wording of the ‘clarification’ itself is as clear as mud.

As ever, it doesn’t even name and shame the BBC journalist who bungled the report but, via a lot of sleuthing on TV Eyes, I’ve dug out the the name of the reporter responsible for the bungled report: good old Lewis Goodall.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/helpa

Secondly, a highly-contested online piece by the BBC’s first LGBT Correspondent and ‘woke’ activist Ben Hunte [again not named] on trans matters, from late last year, has been ruled on by the BBC’s Executive Complaints Unit.

The ECU ruled against it for bias on two counts.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/conta

The report now has a ‘clarification and update’ from last December and and a ‘correction’ from yesterday – which is quite some going. [Not that many people will see either.]

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/

It points to an obvious conclusion. If you hire activists you’ll probably get reporting that strays beyond impartiality to an extent that even today’s BBC ends up feeling embarrassed – even if it’s like pulling teeth to get them to publicly admit it.

In fairness, the BBC has – finally – admitted both of these breaches.

Just imagine though the months of effort the complainants have had to put in to get this result – ‘clarifications’ few people will even know about.

He more or less said you would attract better people who would do a better job if you give them more money.
He then compared our MPs pay to Italy and the USA where their politicians get paid much more than ours.

I hoped the interviewer would have then asked “is Italy better run with these much higher paid politicians” but he didn’t ask.

It was Alistair Stewart on GB News.

He did say that he also thought politicians should be paid more so maybe didn’t want to ask that obvious question.
