16 years ago today. A colleague of mine at the time.. His wife was travelling to work as normal in London. Thanks to a medieval death cult blowing up a bus near Tavistock Square she lost both legs, and was lucky to survive. Never forget what these savages did.

Our tragedy Harry is that they are not savages. True, their savagery is reflected in their atrocities, but the acts are planned and designed to inflict maximum hurt and damage to ‘unbelievers’.

They turn the brutality of IRA bombings into petty political squabbles, because they reflect the tenets of a world-wide religion, and many regard religious beliefs as being among the highest expressions of human achievement. Sadly.

There is an idiot who is a favourite with the current tv crowd because he is black, and I saw an advert for one of his shows, called “Judge Romesh” or something like that, and his snidey humour said “if you don’t understand the title maybe TV is not for you”

displaying his limited grasp of the English language whilst calling others thick, as he does not understand judge is both a noun and a verb

Yes most definitely taffman, if they keep up the absolute unprecedented mad exposure of Association Football which is now presented on every programme and is the first as piece one hears on the main News-no I am not a follow of Soccer changing to Rugby when 13, which I enjoyed much more-of course it would good to think of the amount of enthusiasm being displayed over this sport would be shown by the followers as much for their own country in time of need as of now. The BBC paid millions from the licence fee,no doubt for the TV rights to this soccer competition, which as far as I can see has left the coffers dry to offer anything worthwile other than repeats ad infinitum. Definitely on the downward slope.

tarien, you may have caught the BBC broadcast this morning from a school, somewhere in London I think where the teachers had dressed all the children up as Viking Swede football supporters in a sickeningly childish attempt to divert them from getting to “English Nationalist” I assume.

Whilst that in itself says much about the unhinged view of the BBC the killer was that the BBC interviewer picked out the only black “Faux Swede child” to give a speech.

Alas as we know, parliament is a talking shop, and with no party more ineffective useless and incompetent than the Tory party. They enact legislation which they know damn fine well is never going to be implemented by the people at the sharp end such as the Gestapo which they created by gifting control of them to Labour.

We know from bitter experience that the Fascist left sees no issue in different justice for those the see as on side to those they know are against them. We see this now in America with the horrible Biden in charge, and Antifa being allowed to murder opponents with impuity and charges dropped, and summary detention without trial for those accused of tresspass, including torture whilst in detention leading to significant physical injury.

We saw this in absolute black and white terms in the UK with a drunk White idiot who urinated on a small plaque being sent to prison for the ‘outrage’ he caused – in reality no physical damage was caused to the plaque, and the Fascists who toppled the statue of Edward Colston in Bristol were let off with a caution, and it needed central government intervention to stop the Gestapo officers from such ridiculous biased ‘enforcement’.

Everyone is looking at the maximum sentence but that is never ever handed down, they should be looking to the minimum sentence, because that is definitely going to the one used most often especially where the Gestapo are Labour Fascist controlled.

I cannot find the minimum sentencing guidelines It appears that this is merely an addition to existing legislation which will never be used, but like so much of the cowardly useless incomeptent Tories actions, it is there to give the appearance they are doing something whilst in reality doing nothing at all.

It will still be possible for the Gestapo to let off the far left with cautions, but now it will be possible for the courts to hand down even more egregious sentences to those who are not of the far left.

It’s just what you might expect from this ridiculous far left Tory government.

Why North America’s killer heat scares me

We’ve just enjoyed our first blissful sleepover weekend with our 20-month granddaughter, Hazel, so maybe that softened me up. Or perhaps it was a week’s leave away from the news that rusted my BBC armour of emotional detachment from the climate story. Either way, I confess to a gut-tightening sense of foreboding when Hazel left and I caught up with North America’s killer heat dome on TV.

That’s not because new record temperatures were set in the north-western US and Canada – that happens from time to time. No, it’s because old records were smashed so dramatically. Normally records like this are over-topped by a fraction of a degree, but this year the former high was obliterated on three days running. Climatologists are nervous of being accused of alarmism – but many have been frankly alarmed for some time now.

SNP wants more control of the BBC . This vexed me as I thought they had total control in Scotland already . Apparently some Scots national socialists are getting fed up with footy pundits talking about England . This must stop – minor countries like Scotland deserve an equal exposure by pundits – same with Wales .

Maybe after Wednesday night we might hear a bit less … will there be booing of the knee by the 60000 at Wembley ? This time I reckon not – because of the type of people turning up ….

In a perfect example of how the left work to control the narrative, the Independent tells us:

UK must lead the way by making ‘ecocide’ a criminal offence, Green Party peer urges

    https://www.independent.co.uk/climate-change/news/ecocide-crime-nature-green-party-b1878534.html

This has nothing to do with the environment but it has everything to do with taking over power and control for the left.

You first urge the Government to enshrine in law penalties against manufactured and bogus actions which offend your own group and ideology, we have already seen this happen in other spheres such as hate speech etc.

The mission is to take control of the narrative and thereby criminalise anyone who disagrees with your mantra.

There are already stringent regulations concerning environmental damage but the power of control over these rests with the Government Authorities which does not play into the hands of these people.

What the Greens are trying to do is to take this power and control over for themselves. It can then be used to weaponise attacks on any institution or person who doesn’t fit with their left-wing outlook.

We have witnessed this slowly but surely happen in many areas including social media, sport, big tech, news and many corporate companies. Hence their desire to cleanse themselves by appearing as woke as possible to stay the right side of this new form of private policing by attitude.

So let me get this straight, we’re going by the data not dates. Boris says most legal restrictions and guidance in England should be removed from 19 July. But confirmation of the lifting of restrictions and guidance won’t actually happen until 12 July.

Meanwhile: ‘quarantine rules to last until mid-August’ (Daily Mail). The FT and Telegraph name the day as August 16.

BBC: ‘The whole of Scotland is due to move to Covid level 0 on 19 July, with all final legal restrictions lifted by 9 August’

‘the next review of measures in Wales is due on 15 July’

‘some rules in Northern Ireland have just changed, with another review due on 8 July’ – Postcode lottery, BBC?

Sounds an awful lot like we’re being ruled by the calendar to me.

The vax was supposed to be voluntary, right? There’s a little something in internationally agreed ethics (I resist the term international law) that covered it in what they call the Nuremberg Code (1947) – care of Dr Josef Mengele and his ilk.

But now we get: ‘Freedom boost for the double-jabbed. Millions who have been double-jabbed will not have to isolate’ (Daily Express) – what do you call the opposite of freedom? So what do we call the state of affairs for our un-jabbed, second class citizenship, apartheid?

I don’t personally have fixed convictions about vaccination but I do enjoy calling out the hypocrisy and pricking the bubbles of leftist sloganeering.

I really don’t know what to believe anymore about this so-called pandemic. I want to protect grandad but why exactly are the Chinese still keeping mum about their lab leak? Apparently our pet cats can catch this thing but getting on for two years from the start our expert international scientists still can’t find the bat… or was it a pangolin… whatever they are.. that started the bloody thing? I smell a rat.

Let’s go with the flow and allow ourselves to be distracted by the football.

Another big media conundrum is – given the large numbers of purportedly typical women pictured on our newspaper frontpages cheering on the men’s football, which whatever actual level of female enthusiasm for the sport you accept, seems to suggest the ladies follow the men’s game – then how come the likes of the BBC insist on ramming the lacklustre female version of the game down our throats?

In lieu of a full blown newspaper review this morning I’m doing some cultural archaeology – so you don’t have to.

From humble beginnings old-fashioned cockney newspaperman Derek Jameson rose to the editorship of several national dailies and latterly in his Fleet Street career became a TV personality with his BBC2 show which reviewed foreign media coverage of current UK affairs – in that show he famously employed his catchphrase “Do They Mean Us?”

To give you some inkling of the difference between Jameson’s no nonsense take on the news and the uniformity of refined opinion one might see on the BBC more recently, in his obituary in the Scotsman his show was dismissed as “a decidedly patriotic examination of foreign television networks’ British coverage”.

Compare and contrast that with BBC News Channel’s Dateline London where the ever so humble Mr Nice Guy, Gavin Esler – latterly coming out to no one’s surprise as a dedicated anti-Brexit campaigner – would mediate between four disparate foreign correspondents… all slagging off Britain.

Anyway, to borrow a leaf from our main bugbear’s book, part of the remit hereabouts is surely to entertain, not just to educate and inform…

Jameson once made a novelty record. Lyrics are transcribed as faithfully as a tin ear will permit.
References are decidedly 1980s but remain oddly relevant.

Just browsing the BBC and thought I would simply put bbc.com and see what greets me from the British Broadcasting Corporation.
Among the top few things in the world at the moment seems to be:
Dilip Kumar: Legendary Indian actor dies at 98
I’m sure the vast majority of the British people who funded that report are deeply upset to know that.
But the biggest picture on the page was:
The images that have defined atrocities
    https://www.bbc.com/culture/article/20210706-kent-monkmans-the-scream-images-that-define-atrocities
Why they would run such an article confused me at first – but then I realised : they can tell us a completely lop-sided narrative where whitey is the villain because nobody paints pictures of the slaughters in Africa and the likes by black people.
Sure enough, the only black people in there are being shot by whiteys.
What a shame no artist depicted people being strung up and burned alive or lines of people in a street being driven over in a bulldozer by ISIS or entire villages in Rawanda being brutally hacked into pieces with machetes. But of course the article wouldn’t have included them even if they had.
They will play every dirty trick they can to make sure we only get told what they want us to know.

I just love the blinking dead air.

So Labour are serving up her, Dawn of the Dead, Di Hard of Thinking, the Young One on MC, Fick Ange, Jess in the Graun Photo Studio, Baroness Inquiry, Dave ‘He’s Behind You’, etc to the BBC as… alternatives?

No wonder Vile is pushing Champion. She may be literally a good communist, but at least is less of an embarrassment. Plus seems handy around the studios when off air.

John, I know what you mean, it is the kind of stunt you’d expect the BBC to pull.
.. but the painting does NOT depict a black crowd
It’s kind of trick of the brain, cos the painting is dark and two of the four central faces do look a bit African, but the rest of the oppressed and all the dead bodies are white.
Spanish court painter of Charles IV, Fracisco GOYA depicted the massacre of Spanish citizens by Napoleon’s army in his The Third of May, 1808.
The painting is often referred to when talking about a brutal state punishing a heroic crowd.
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Third_of_May_1808
Bet the BBC didn’t choose the pic either
The BBC story doesn’t look original, earlier webpages mention his painting being inspired by that specific Goya
So I expect the BBC cutNpasted from the artist’s PR material

The BBC’s justification of the news-story is a painting by a Canadian Native American artist
“The painting by Cree artist Kent Monkman depicts the atrocities of the catholic church and the government. ”

They could in fact used his BLM paintings

So today’s 8% pension rise means magicking up money from the magic money tree

The Woke left have a near monopoly of news in the UK and USA and across a lot of the EU, even in Australia ABC is amongst the most Woke outfits on the planet. They are extending their tentacles in the UK in recent years, the Mail and Telegraph have newish editors who are much more Woke than were their predecessors, the Express has been taken over by the Mirror group, Ofcom is a Woke regulator.
They will relentlessly attack any outfit which threatens their grip on what the people are allowed to see and hear, other points of view are considered by them to be highly dangerous to their mission to change the way people see the world and think. Sadly most governments share their world view. I think that many ordinary folks don’t realise the extent to which they are being brainwashed to hold liberal left Woke views. Legislation is in place which makes it a crime to say what you think on an increasing range of issues. Soon the only thing on which you can have an opinion which you dare to freely express will be the weather and I’m sure that within a few years it will be manadatory to blame climate change for the hail storm which wrecks your dahlias, wet weather at the cricket , the lack of rain which ruined the harvest etc.

BBC still pushing ‘the problem is Israel/Zionists’ narrative….

‘Stalemate: Israel and the Palestinians after Gaza’
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000xkzj

The problem, as the BBC sees it, is Jews wanting their own state….the idea that the problem is in fact Palestinians wanting everything and to wipe out the Jews just doesn’t arise…nor the fact that they have a state they just choose not to build into a peaceful and viable society and economy, preferring instead to keep Israel in a permanent state of war…..somehow Jordan, carved out of old Palestine just as Israel was, gets a free pass.

Just how many times can the BBC mention the word ‘apartheid’?…lots it would seem…almost as if they want you to associate it with Israel. There seems some disgruntlement that the Jewish state of Israel, set up to provide a safe haven for Jews, would not want a one state solution…sharing all with the Palestinians….the ‘Zionists’ just wouldn’t allow it…..well yeah….no surprise there…why hand over your country to people that hate you and want to kill you?

The BBC yet again spinning for the terrorists of Hamas and those who want to see Israel destroyed…but not Muslim Jordan or Pakistan for some reason.

As a Muslim, for me and millions of Muslims across this country and a quarter of the world’s population who are Muslim too, with each day and each breath there is not a single thing in the world that we commemorate and honour more than our beloved Prophet, Mohammed, peace be upon him. But when bigots and racists defame, slander or abuse our Prophet, peace be upon him, just like some people do the likes of Churchill, the emotional harm caused upon our hearts is unbearable, because for 2 billion Muslims, he is the leader we commemorate in our hearts and honour in our lives, and he forms the basis of our identity and our very existence.

    Incompatible with being British imo.

in this case from the ONS

Covid needs a rate above 1 for infection base to grow
Population needs a growth rate of 2 per woman for the base to grow
… cos men don’t give birth.

From The Independent but is classic ‘Sopel’ type hyperbole and sensationalist misreporting…Trump is ‘paranoid…falsely claiming he won, is undermining democracy and is guilty of mounting a coup on January 6’….a very BBC narrative…and completely false..

    https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/donald-trump-might-just-save-democracy-by-accident/ar-AALQyFq?ocid=msedgntp

‘Republicans, in short, are tripping over themselves to kiss Trump’s orange appendages. That in itself is not hopeful. Trump is still falsely claiming the 2020 election was illegitimate, and most Republicans still believe the lie. The ex-president’s paranoid delegitimization of democracy has already led local election officials to try to pass laws giving local Republicans greater power to overturn election results. It’s not hard to imagine a Trumpist GOP in 2024 engaging in another coup attempt like that of January 6th.

But the thing about Trump is that he is not selectively destructive. He is doing his best to knock out the guardrails that safeguard democracy from authoritarianism.’

You have to laugh at the whole thing…completely unaware of the massive hypocrisy….no comment that Clinton has spent the last 5 years proclaiming she won 2016…or any note that she also supported a barrier to stop illegal immigration. And how about the Republicans trying to corrupt democracy by, er, demanding IDs and properly regulated elections…that’s deligitimizing democracy…

‘The ex-president’s paranoid delegitimization of democracy has already led local election officials to try to pass laws giving local Republicans greater power to overturn election results. ‘

However the truth about how the Democrats win…by rigging the system…is acceptable….just give them the time and it must be done….

‘Of course, you can’t trust Trump to save democracy, even inadvertently. It’s ultimately up to activists and voters to demand, and Democrats to institute, changes that will help protect our democracy. We have to abolish gerrymandering, institute nationwide AVR, pass a new voting rights act, enfranchise DC, expand the Supreme Court, and more. Trump’s incompetence may, ironically, end up giving us slightly more time to do what needs to be done.’

Following on from yesterday announcement of BBC super-salaries league (and Apologies to FedUp) with another ‘cut-and-paste’ job – but I thought this was worth illustrating how perverse the BBC has become since John Birt made the BBC into effectively ‘The Guardian’ new’s channel… dropping any pretense of ‘impartiality’.

    (quote)
Surely “public service broadcasting” was never meant to be so highly remunerative? Back in the day there was an understanding among BBC staff that working for the Corporation was a rare privilege and that’s why the pay was modest. Quaint old notions like that were swept away in the Birt years in the 1990s which ushered in an era of excess (at one point the Director-General, Mark Thompson, was paying himself £800,000 a year – a salary which the BBC itself came to realise gave offence to licence-fee payers and which had to be trimmed back). Even so, the BBC’s best paid people are by most people’s standards, rolling in it…

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/2021/07/07/no-newsreader-even-great-huw-edwards-worth-429000-year/

And I remember it was Mark Thompson who was criticiced under the cross-party public accounts committee by Patricai Hodge who was infuriated at the ‘expenses’ scandle of the BBC at the same time of ‘Jimmy Saville’ expose saga. Plus the BBC practice of ‘advising’ BBC ‘top performers’ to be paid ‘offshore’ or via ‘PPC’ – (Private Personal Contracts) – that were later stopped by the HMG Inland Revenue (as they were shown to be — not at all ‘freelance’ or ‘self employed’ – but employed only by the BBC). So tax avoidance by any measure. And the BBC had to pay back all the missing PAYE tax itself – but never admitted any ‘wrong’ doing. Some even set up false TAXI cab companies to pay for going to work at the BBC tax free (Chris Moyles was guilty of that one). Others blamed it on the BBC for ‘advice’.

Now they get around this ‘TAX” by paying ‘extra income’; via BBC worldwide Limited – that is NOT subject to (any) Freedom of Information request – because that is ‘private’ and can get lost in ‘expenditure’. So the true ‘salary’ may be in the millions for BBC top spot performers. Every one’s a winner!

Another delicious irony is that phrase, trotted out so regularly in defense of the indefensible, ‘…they are paid the going rate….’

No-one seems able to define, or even query, what the ‘going rate’ might be but it would seem close to a figure conjured with quite remarkable dishonesty from license payers by a mixture of fertile imagination and financially ‘astute’ agents.

Re. the Telegraph article, one person I feel confident would never begin to query or suggest any guilt association for the amount and value for money provided by Huw Edwards would be Huw Edwards.

TOADY Watch #1 and TWatO Watch #2 combined – a sad story and wise words from a bereaved mother

I get the impression that the BBC report of the Court verdict on the murder of the two sisters in Fryent Park by Danyal Hussein carried a significant amount of diversion from talking about a certain religion to talking about the ‘Far Right’. The retired Anglican Archdeacon Mina Smallman spoke about the killer on TOADY in the 6 a.m. News.

Mina Smallman feared that the convicted killer will be ‘radicalised’ in prison and when released will kill again and again. I think we know who does the ‘radicalising’ in UK prisons and I am certain it is not Conservative Party members who voted to leave the EU in 2016. Would the BBC name them? No.

It is ‘Squirrel Time’ at the BBC.
