BBC desperate to keep Project Fear running despite hospitals not being overwhelmed . Shortages of stuff for Christmas didn’t happen . The lies stack up .
For years we have been highlighting examples of supposedly impartial “experts” presented to viewers with undeclared conflicts of interest. This one takes the biscuit. https://t.co/BdxzXtCi9H
It’s my last day @BBCBreakfast and I couldn’t let it pass without sharing some of my favourite memories. The Breakfast family are the hardest working people I’ve ever met & I’m lucky to have them as friends. Thank you to everyone who’s shared their stories with me. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/UMBvx4apcv
The BBC’s claim that Jewish people targeted by an antisemitic attack on Oxford Street were themselves guilty of an “anti-Muslim slur” has been proved beyond any doubt to be inaccurate, after the findings of two independent reports published today. pic.twitter.com/Qb9NwIRLCr

Just thinking about omicron covid.
We can all accept I hope that case rates have been rising rapidly and any decisions which may or may not be taken should be done based on information.
So my question is why the hell is it acceptable for the taxpayer funded statisticians to go AWOL over the last week.
Some healthcare stats are now a week old. Given the speed of change that is an utterly pathetic situation. 24 hours old should be the requirement.
Whatever state we are in, you can be sure that the public sector will be looking after itself rather than the public at large.
Now that the BBC has decided that vulnerable young women victims of sex abuse in the USA are worthy of coverage as is coverage of the trial of the perpetrators, , may we expect equivalent coverage of vulnerable young women victims of sex abuse in the UK?
How about residents of Rotherham, Rochdale, Kirklees?
And maybe the BBC could include full coverage of the perpetrators?
I see hyperbolic claims on Twitter
“see we have 332 Covid deaths in one day”
..Nope that tally includes a 5 day backlog.
There are sound reasons for looking at deaths by actual day , not registration day
and for using stats that are 7 day averages etc
The 7 day average of deaths has still fallen to just below 100/day
Cases have risen
at a rate which is not exponential.
Peak is now 167K on Monday/Tuesday
This next week seems a bit unpredictable
However the general range seems to be tolerable.
They’ll be cases, but enough workers for most things to function.
Personally I think they are including all winter conditions including the common cold to keep this shit show going. I have long ago stopped even giving so much as a glance at these phoney stats.
I would put money on it that the twats behind this are working on a name for the next “wave”.
The end game is to remove democracy from the people and hand it over to the scientific community. Who are in effect communists.
The author’s caveat should still be out front and centre:
boy do I hope it’s not and that this article looks like conspiratorial garbage in a couple weeks!
However…
Omicron “was detected on four foreign nationals who had entered Botswana on the 7th November 2021, on a diplomatic mission. The quartet tested positive for COVID-19 on the 11th November 2021 as they were preparing to return.”
Never seen before – popped up in 4 foreigners on a diplomatic visit to Botswana.
The BBC’s South Africa correspondent is less than a couple of hours away….
The Bogeyman Beastly Bug from Botswana has millions frightened and bureaucrats bloviating – a massive impact of a huge number of people and the MSM can’t be bothered to take a slightly closer look ?
Perhaps the public sniff test has failed in the same way that H₂S nukes human smell nerves in high concentrations?
ITV local news : A PRasNews story about a therapy dog that helps firefighters’ mental health.
… a very cosy and fluffy item.
Yet one of the volunteers in our circle told us, he had a hell of an experience a few months back trying to get help for a retired fireman who had repeated bad episodes where he almost killed himself
as PTSD leads to cope with lifes ups and downs.
.. The volunteer said as he tried to find a mental health service to help the guy he was just given the runaround.
TVland is so often very different to the real world.
I hear similar tales – but not being in possession of an actual TV receiver I’m spared the torment outside of hotel rooms and visits to pals who’ve a telly in the kitchen.
One of the worst culprits imho is the growth of editorial guidelines – where a response is sought before broadcast / publishing and the story goes no further if a response is not forthcoming. There’s a few brave souls out there but by and large it’s insipid, ignorant, cowardly and often badly skewed semi-literate drivel.
The broadcast and publishing media are getting increasingly irrelevant – many people simply now zone it out and daft sh!t creeps in – and that should worry everybody.
Watching the events in the court case in the USA re Maxwell, my conclusion is that there is a shit load of compensation cash at stake for both witnesses and lawyers involved. I think this is an American thing!
I would bet that if Epstein had not “died” in prison it’s unlikely that Maxwell would be facing trial, it appears to be a way of keeping money in the equation.
I just hope that if Annie Farmer (supposed victim) ends up with a wad, she spends the rest of her life thinking about another woman who’s life has been effectively cancelled by her. I hope she is able sleep soundly at night given that she obviously willingly agreed at some point to participate in events at Epstein’s mansion. Probably for the same reason – money!
We live in a pretty horrid World where truth is unimportant and the only winners are lawyers.
You mean like the Labour MP who said the Rochdale victims should shut up for the sake of “community relations “ ?
Have you asked her what grooming means ?
No. I mean like the clueless idiot on this forum who just blamed a teenage grooming victim for their own sexual abuse and expressed sympathy for one of her abusers. Your “whataboutery” speaks volumes.
You brought up the subject of the Muslim rape gangs . Can you enlighten me ;.?
The Maxwell case involved dozens (?) or at least four victims . The Rochdale and other cases involved thousands .
There was a cover up by the authorities in the Rochdale case , there was no cover up by the authorities in the Maxwell Epstein case .
Senior politicians wanted the girls in the Rochdale et al cases to keep quiet for community relations . No politician anywhere has called for the girls in the Maxwells Epstein case to keep quiet.
And yet the BBC give more broadcast to the Maxwell Epstein case than all the other cases combined.
About the whataboutery , why did you post that disgusting photo of a man in a Gay Pride march who stuffed a firework up his ****** ?
Maxi,
I hadn’t heard during the trial that Epstein asked Maxwell to buy a gallon of gasoline to pour over any of the girls who objected to being abused.
Annie Farmer is classed as a victim cos that is what the court found.
Nevertheless expressing an opinion doubting her is free speech.
And to get to truth we have to allow speech, which could later turn out to be false; as long as it allows accused people to go about their daily lives etc.
Significantly she was above the UK age of consent
BBC “said she was 16 when she was exploited by Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein. ”
In principle Maxi has the right to challenge assertions, use outrage as rhetoric, and shout hypocrisy.
But I’d question if Mxi is doing that in good faith or deliberate mud slinging.
My original comment was targeted at the obscene money orientated grabbing cess pit that is the norm with legal bigwig ambulance chasers in the USA, because of this we will never know what actually happened, large wads of compensation tend to skew the facts, especially when the accused end up dead on remand.
Absolutely right. The BBC (and especially their trolls) are the most disgusting of left-wing hypocrites.
‘After that initial tea, Jane started spending time with Epstein every week or two. Epstein first abused Jane when she was 14. Jane said that there were sexual encounters with Epstein for the next three years, around every two weeks.’
You are without shame. What you just told us is that you don’t care one bit about what happened to any of them. They are just tools for your nasty politcial agenda.
“A “common thread” was that taxi drivers had been picking the children up for sex from care homes and schools.[b] The abuse included gang rape, forcing children to watch rape, dousing them with petrol and threatening to set them on fire, threatening to rape their mothers and younger sisters, and trafficking them to other towns.[20] There were pregnancies—one at age 12—terminations, miscarriages, babies raised by their mothers, and babies removed, causing further trauma.”
Another day, anther bully or is that just “feisty”
Kamala Harris struggles through question on inflation during CBS interview
Stumble comes following rumors that Harris refuses to read staff briefings

And so say all the Highly Paid ex-Beeboids commenting in that propaganda clip.
In the words of a well known Welsh lass …………..’they would say that wouldn’t they’ ?
More importantly , what has Nadine Dorries done so far about the left-wing, anti-Brexit, woke, broadcaster?
No BBC for the rest of this year . Quite easy really . I saw that ‘today ‘ has a green communist ‘ running it today – no change there then .
I notice the usual `Thursday night appearance by a troll . I won’t offer to take it off the site again because I know good people here talk of free speech . I just get fed up because it cannot defend its’ BBC .
So what will New Year bring ? Crankie and that Welsh bloke thanking ‘the people ‘ for obeying New Year “guidance “ by not going to the hated England .
Or tales of mass exits to celebrate the coming of 2022 ?
In England gang wars in londonistan continue . 29 dead coloured teenagers in the year – a good one for funeral directors ….
Heroes who work for free ? Or maybe someone doing the job the chose to do and get paid for ? Maybe one day the medical mafia will come down from that expensive tax payer funded cloud the sit on ( without tedious patients of course )…

She has worked in the casualty ward sometimes
So she is not the Labour MP who’s Covid frontline work was actually just making phone calls to patient’s families.
However her deleted tweet history does show that she overhypes things https://order-order.com/people/rosena-allin-khan/
.@DrRosena has now deleted her fake news tweet with no explaination.
This is a pattern.

– Tweeting a picture of a Spanish hospital to make claims about UK hospitals. Later deleted.
‘Year ends under cloud in dullest December since 1956‘ – or so says the Telegraph. In case you were wondering, they’re talking about the weather, rather than our entertainment outlook.
The Guardian of course looks forward to some global warming: ‘Record temperatures set to usher in new year‘ – that’s as maybe – simply saying it don’t make it so – but don’t expect any retraction if it don’t happen.
The Daily Mail puts on a brave face: ‘8-page guide to the films, TV shows, music, theatre, and books you’ll love in 2022‘ – I know we all like those categories of entertainment and the popular arts but are we really so confident the cultural products of next year won’t decline further than they did in 2021?
I don’t know about others hereabouts but I’m hunkering down to a diet of old stuff.
Not for me the Marvel & DC “Multiverse” of infinite iterations of superhero reboots. A veritable web-full of Spidermen. The SJW repcon undermining of once popular past franchises. The plethora surfeit of fiesty fem of colour character stunt castings. Mrs Brown’s Boys. The Oscars gone wild. Nothing to delcare of their talent – just their leftist political leanings. Politics posing as a thespian. 007 Jane Bond. Doctor Who chased by gay Pakistani Daleks up the Tardis wheelchair ramp… no doubt to the postumous amusement of Spike Milligan – who said he felt ill. Autotuned sampled warbling creeping nobodies still stuck in early 20-naughts X-Factor and Adele crooning up and down the scales about her divorce, the weight loss, her millions in the bank and why she’s still sad about it all. The Guardian introducing: ‘ArrDee Meet the ebullient voice of 2022‘ A pale yet supposedly un-stale British rapper from Brighton – where else? Wiki explains: ‘...stage name is derived from the phonetic spelling of the initials of his birth name, R=Riley, D=Davies‘. His still slim discography includes such inticing gems as: “Jiggy (Whiz)” and “Wid It” – I kid you not.
The FT amuses: ‘The best books, shows, music and travel of next year‘ – travel? Perhaps the audience the FT has in mind have their own private jets and contingent special passport arrangements.
Sport, anyone? ‘Footie headers ban call‘ (Daily Star)
We live in an increasingly feminised culture. ‘Christian Lamb. 101, the last surviving Wren from the Battle of the Atlantic, has spoken of the terror she felt plotting the positions of Royal Navy ships‘ (Times) – not half so much as the terror experienced by all those poor blokes out at sea actually on those ships.
Next war to be fought virtually by drones and robots on the ground directed via computer by women? I suppose that explains our military’s present recruitment strategy.
Sometimes you have to smile at the old Telegraph – someone do please gently nudge them awake and tell them that while the Torygraph has been snoozing on the job since about 1956 (Suez Crisis) Britain has become a broke, bankrupt, busted flush: ‘Truss: Britain will help Ukraine’s energy needs‘
‘Boris: A happy and incomparably better New Year thanks to heroic jab take-up‘ (Daily Express) – careful now, we don’t really want to portray the taking of these still experimental jabs as a form of bravery, do we?
‘Covid divide. Experts split over child jabs‘ (FT)
‘Croydon stabbing: Boy, 15, killed in London park‘ (BBC) old enough to be stabbed, old enough to be jabbed. Oh, and please note that I didn’t mention Prince Andrew.
Bent Cucumberpatch likes his isolation, the ‘corona-phobic i’ tells me. Why did he go to Drama School then? Anyway, he could keep catching Covid ‘variants’ – job done!
Think you will find that Croydon is in Surrey, BBC. Just because you are in central London it doesn’t mean that every place inside the M25 is in London. I know you wish to serve Mayor Kahane’s expansionist cause but technically, strictly, Croydon is in Surrey. In addition, I wish you would not announce in the News quite so lightly that the tragic killing of another teen means that the death toll record of last year was equalled.
30th death was in London … 29th was in Croydon
I’d count it as London too, cos it’s under the London Metropolitan Police .. https://menrus.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/MET-POLICE-BCU.jpg
Hillingdon, west London, making him the 30th teenage homicide in the capital in 2021, surpassing a peak of 29 in 2008.
The fatal stabbing on Thursday evening happened shortly after a 15-year-old boy was also found fatally wounded in Ashburton Park, Croydon.
The Mail and Independent also say “London park” in their headlines
Stew
Some of us old ‘uns that hail from the historic counties of Kent, Surrey, Essex etc. do not subscribe to all that London creep via the ‘Greater London’ administrative malarkey.
Yes, Stew, sadly there has been one more killing later this morning in West London. Awful carnage. Is this happening because the so-called ‘liberal elites’ think these young lives are instantly replaceable from France?
Yes, there is also a LB of the name Croydon but, iirc, LB Croydon and its residents do not have London post codes. Some of the ‘London’ thing about Croydon goes back to the early days of air travel before WW2. ‘Croydon’ was ‘London’s’ first airport.
I find Ian Maxwell (Today interview this morning) to be an interesting source of information.
He says that Ghislaine didn’t take the stand because there was “no need” to refute the obviously absurd claims of the prosecution witnesses regarding Ghislaine’s involvement. All the Maxwells, despite their cleverness, seem to lack emotional intelligence. The consistent testimony of the prosecution witnesses gave rise to the understandable public perception that Ghislaine was as guilty as hell of involvement. The Maxwells didn’t seem to realise that the public found the witnesses utterly credible and that Ghislaine was in trouble. Daddy wasn’t around to manipulate public opinion with a few choice headlines in his newspapers anymore.
In my view, the only way this perception might have been altered was if Ghislaine had gone into the witness box and denied involvement. With her classy demeanour, well-spokenness, and impeccable manners contrasting with the less sophisticated ways of her far-from-perfect accusers, it was the only strategy that might have saved her. Relying on a quack psychologist talking about false memories was a feeble defence.
Ian Maxwell wrote somewhere that Ghislaine was emotionally neglected until she was three years old. He presented this fact hoping to elicit sympathy for poor, innocent Ghislaine. But what he unwittingly did was merely reveal the psychological circumstances in which her evil nature undoubtedly formed.
In one way, I feel sorry for the Maxwells. Robert Maxwell’s parents and many of his family were murdered in Auschwitz. He was clearly warped by the experience and the psychological repercussions of that continue to have an effect down through the generations.
It’s all Adolf Hitler’s fault in the end. But then he had a terrible childhood too …
Why is the BBC now running an interview with Ghislaine Maxwell’s brother, pleading her innocence, on its main bulletin on R4? Would they do that for any other child sex offender found guilty in a court of law?
@Zelazek Robert Barnes the top American lawyer explained in the Rittenhouse case that it is standard practice in these US jury cases for the defendant to be advised NOT to testify
and that was the extraordinary thing that Rittenhouse’s lawyers had him testify.
He said that normally you let the other evidence speak for itself
cos what happens is if you testify the prosecutor will try to twist and misrepresent your words
so it is best not to give evidence.
We should not lose focus that Maxwell is NOT the main thing in the Epstein case
It is that rich powerful men got away ..and are still getting away
A lot of media must have helped in this.
That Maxwell is the pimps girlfriend
rather than the power clients.
VivaFrei says he thinks her trial is a trick to let all those guys off.
Good points and of course I agree that Ghislaine Maxwell should only be the first of very many to face prosecution. We’ve only just begun. The long-suspected existence of paedophile rings among the rich and powerful may finally be about to be proved and these elite perverts thrown into prison en masse.
But there is a danger that seeing Ghislaine imprisoned for the rest of her life (if that is her sentence) will assuage the public’s thirst for justice in this case. In terms of public revulsion, a woman who facilitates a crime in which children are involved gets twice as much attention as the man who actually commits the crime. Think of Hindley and Brady.
What happens next is going to be very interesting.
Meanwhile one is sure there is nothing to rumours the deceased billionaire had many phone numbers for a Labour Lord known to be keen on money and earthly pleasures.
The @BBC appears to be entirely broken. This is quite a long thread but it absolutely epitomises what a mess they've got into with their political activism. The new chairman seems pointless and ineffective. https://t.co/k6ZrkX8YL7
Jewish leaders are set to confront BBC chief Tim Davie to demand a public apology after an investigation revealed a ‘colossal error’ in its reporting of an anti-Semitic attack on Oxford Street.

Jewish leaders would do better by confronting the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport of the United Kingdom with their concerns.
That would be Nadine Dorries .
Given the remit of her post, I have no doubt that she and her researchers visit this site ‘occasionally’?
Forty percent of the jab appointments missed due to ……..
Do a little research BBC . Try to cancel an appointment by return of e mail to the government. It’s typical, they can address us , we can’t reply back .

It would be interesting to know how many stabbings have there been in London in the last 100 years and how many stabbings were caused by recent immigrants or their descendants ?
You’ve seen the recent History Debunked videos about the demographic for such crimes ?
‘there is barely a whiteface among them
and if there is ..it’s an East European’
StewGreen
I have notice quit a few ‘close-up’ photo shots of white hands holding knives on Al Beeb ?
Can we expect more as a result of the coastal invasion of 25000+ on our shores ?
The irony is that the feral behaviour of these children is avoidable – with the help of stable parents – caring teachers – discipline – self esteem and a decent life involving knowing the difference between right and wrong .
But so much gets in the way of this – including the victim culture promulgated by the BBC amongst many .

Quote .
The force at the centre of the Rotherham grooming scandal is not routinely recording the ethnicity of child sexual abuse suspects, a newspaper has found.
According to The Times, all four South Yorkshire Police districts failed to record details.
Rotherham, where hundreds were abused by gangs of South Asian men, omitted suspect ethnicity in 67% of cases.
End quote.
Best way to avoid accusations of police racism? Just don’t report the ethnicity and/or religious persuasion of suspect paedos.
I’ve heard of gutter journalism, this appears to be gutter policing.,
Stew
Thanks for that.
It seems to me to be a FAR more important story than what Ghislaine Maxwell may or may not have done.
Yet it gets hardly any publicity.
The ultimate triumph of the multicultural mass immigration tendency of the Left.
And a bitter pill for the rest of us.
I wonder if the Met keeps ethnicity records on all those stabbing victims and perpetrators?
Maybe they don’t. Which is why we often only hear that a ‘man’ was involved. Other genders are available.
TWATO interviews two lovely women who formed Hastings Support for Refugees. Sounds well organised. They keep clothing and food in a industrial unit and given the call, they all rush out to welcome the “Refugees”.
G – Radio Devon doing the same. Numerous items on the Devon Support for Refugee Group. Two Syrians today. Yesterday a woman from South America who ‘felt unsafe walking the streets after dark’ over there so decided she would fly over to the U.K. for a better life. Somehow ended up in Plymouth, where life is now hunky dory… (How do they afford these trips?). BBC Devon devoting a whole programme to this worthy cause on Monday. Hardly listen to it now, tune in for local news and that is getting beyond a joke. The usual dumbed down emotive stuff from our esteemed broadcaster,
Discount scheme for Government employees perhaps ?….knowing how many like to keep on top of things !
Many thanks all those who run this site and everyone who posts on here …so much more information from the like minded than the Biased BBC / MSM

Tomo,
I bet it’s so that they can threaten them with charges of tax evasion if they are not cooperating when being questioned.
Like Al Capone for example.
‘Stop expecting the state to do it’ Parents told look after children after London stabbing
A LOCAL pastor in Croydon pleaded with parents to keep a better eye on their children and to look at who they are hanging out with after a 15-year-old was stabbed to death on Thursday.
South London pastor Beryl St James
… Dilemma for BBC .. she’s black and a woman so that ticks two boxes ..but then she is a Christian and they prefer not to air Christians
… along with Jonny Dymond. However, for comments the ‘go to’ is a fomer Conservative Trade Minister, Dr Liam Fox MP. It does not go well for the BBC or Jonny Dymond. Jonny Dymond 0 : 4 Dr Liam Fox MP.
I am now tempted into Scandinavian Football commentator-mode.
Nope I totally disagree, the segment is unusual for BBC
In that it is not the normal lecture from the BBC presenter, full of haranguing & interruption.
Instead Dymond played it straight He’d prepared about 8 questions
He asked a question, let Fox answer, then moved to next question.
On twitter there are 60 outraged tweets from lefties saying Dymond was super soft.
The segment played out through R2 and R5 as well it seems.
There weren’t many tweets saying Fox had won.
Just head Liam Fox on @BBCWorldatOne. He claimed – trade with the EU was *up* since brexit – additional paperwork on imports from the EU on 1st Jan was the EU's fault – a "frictionless border" was possible with NI
The interviewer did not challenge any of these lies. Why not?
It does make me wonder about their average life expectancy considering their blood pressure and pulse rate every time a government representative gets interviewed and manages to get his point across.
Probably safer working on an oil rig than being a leftie during a Tory majority government.
If there any delays , holdups or blockages it is down to the senior civil serpents .
The private sector eg Tesco’s can prove how to process hundreds of lorries with millions of different goods every day without even looking at a Tesco personnel or its agents .
Maybe if the senior civil servants weren’t obstructive we would
Up2
I caught that interview . Liam Fox wasted the Dymond . Liam Fox said the last parliament attempted a coup against the British people – . Dymond ignored this most serious comment and went for the ‘now the weather ‘….
I don’t think dymond was listening because Fox gave him a true kicking using the ultimate weapon . facts – numbers .
Earlier in the summer media ran with the ridiculous claim that British people wouldn’t work for £30/hour picking broccoli.
Obvious rubbish to claim that £30 an hour is a routine wage for that job
For many of the days this week the Coop has been selling off family meal sized head of broccoli. for 8p
Potatoes on even more days ..now 10p for 1.5Kg
Yesterday was carrots 8pm
I bought two different loaves of bread for 8pm
Todays the potatoes are still there
and they are into 40p packets of 6 coxes apples ..probably 17p tomorrow.
MSM storytelling was that food would be rotting in the fields and supermarket shelves would be bare.
“The notorious financier pedophile told exaggerated stories of his time in intelligence circles — but some of those stories may have been, at least partially, true”
It seems pretty clear that Epstein was no financier …. Spy might be overdoing it too….
It also seems clear the island brothel was just a small part of a pretty sprawling crooked empire. The real question is was he actually a freelancer or simply a colourful employee?
I see that the DoJ has dropped charges against his prison guards…
“Four separate sources told me — on the record — that Epstein’s dealings in the arms world in the 1980s had led him to work for multiple governments, including the Israelis.
Some of these sources are more reliable than others. But the gist of the claims that you will be able to hear, and ultimately watch in a three-hour documentary series, is that Maxwell, who was himself a conduit between the Israelis and other governments during his life time, introduced Epstein to Israeli leaders, who then allegedly used Epstein as the equivalent of an old-fashioned Russian “sleeper,” someone who could be useful in an “influence campaign.”
Food has never been so cheap if you look around but it does make me wonder how farmers manage to make a living
Although you do have to have some sense, for example a £1 or £2 small steak or chicken pie in Tesco etc is a very expensive way of buying food if one actually looks at the amount of “meat” in it
I can go to a butcher and spend £5 or £6 on a large steak or chicken pie, made on site, filled (ie no massive, hollow airspace within) with real steak or chicken in it which can serve at least four or five people
I estimate one would have to buy at least 10 or 15 of the cheap pies to obtain the equivalent amount of filling which also bears no real resemblance to steak or chicken
I’m NOT very happy the BBC has a specialist disinformation & social media reporter
Neither are the Jewish community, they would probably appreciate a bbc information reporter rather than the disinformation AKA lies told when attacked by muslim racists
and still no apology even when vilified here and in the USA as liars
I posted this before but it is relevant and important when we get misinformed and politically radicalised kidults like Spring let loose:
“The 10 worst fact checks of 2021, and why they matter
When the arbiters of truth fell short
2021 marked another year of brazenly slanted media coverage, and the “fact-checking” industry, who’ve long cast themselves as impartial arbiters of truth, was no exception.
With former President Trump out of office and President Biden at the helm, media fact-checkers vowed to cover his presidency with the same tenacity afforded to his predecessor. But those tasked with verifying political claims and holding the powerful accountable spent much of the year fueling their critics with reporting that far more resembled partisan, left-leaning opinion than a just-the-facts approach.
“Critics say fact checks have become “fetishized” in the mainstream press as more declarative of the truth than a traditional news report, with eye-catching ratings like PolitiFact’s “Pants On Fire” or the Washington Post’s “Four Pinocchios.”
As I said previously she seems to glorify in the disinformation nonsense. She clearly has no idea what disinformation is. To her disinformation is anything her bosses say it is to suit the bBBC narrative that is current. She clearly is nowhere near qualified to assess reliable scientific data in an objective manner. She would be better employed on tictok but would probably not earn the ridiculous and disgraceful amount that the bbbc probably pay her.
That is half the problem, where is the educational background of those so called journalists attacking the government on a daily basis on scientific matters ? epidemiology ? nope
I will never forgive that Keuensberg thing for going on and on like parrot at every government briefing desperately trying to criticise at every single opportunity despite being clearly briefed and yet failing to understand
Fact-checkers aim to get closer to the truth, but their biases can shroud the very truth they seek
Laboratory studies reveal that, when shown a video of a group of protesters, people see either a peaceful protest or an unruly mob blocking pedestrian access, depending on their sociopolitical beliefs. The world outside the lab shows similar biased perception: For example, 68 percent of Republicans consider the videotaped demonstrations in Portland, Ore., Kenosha, Wisc., and New York City to be riots, versus only 30 percent of Democrats, according to a Fox News poll released in September.
Consider the claim that during an interview with the progressive activist Ady Barkan, Joe Biden stated he favors defunding the police. This allegation has been dismissed as taken out of context and consequently false by some journalists and fact-checkers (e.g., Politifact’s Jon Greenberg), and CNN’s Facts First argued that Biden had denied he favored defunding in comments that were not included in the published interview with Barkan. However, others argued Biden’s statement about supporting “redirecting” funds to other agencies was a clear acknowledgement of his support of decreased funding for police.
A tweeter comments about bias within the Sciam article When discussing Biden saying that he wanted to defund the police the authors provide 252 words of context/nuance
Trump’s fine ppl hoax gets 55 words and they don’t even admit that Trump explicitly said “I’m not talking about the Nazis”
When Donald Trump said last May he was “confident” that a vaccine would be ready by the end of 2020, the US president was upbraided by NBC with what has become in recent years a popular journalistic and political device: the “fact check”. “Experts say he needs a ‘miracle’ to be right,” the broadcaster declared.
Facebook used the same device last week on a piece from UnHerd that criticised the World Health Organization’s Covid-19 investigation for dismissing the possibility the virus leaked from a Wuhan laboratory as “extremely unlikely”. The social media platform labelled the article with a “false information” tag, though the virus’s origins have not been established. Facebook alleged the article contained “information . . . that independent fact-checkers say is false”. After UnHerd objected, Facebook apologised; three days later the White House expressed “deep concerns” about the WHO probe.
I find these examples troubling. In both cases it wasn’t facts that were being checked. Perhaps Trump had no evidence to justify his confidence. But to “fact-check” his views feels to me like the politicisation of a device meant to support objectivity. Fact-checking can be a powerful tool in the fight against online falsehood. But it can be used as a means of censorship if not only facts but also opinions and narratives are checked.
Recently Facebook submitted to the court thati s FACT checks were not FACTS, but rather OPINIONS, so exempt from libel American rules etc. as they are just free speech.
“Fact Check” is a PRtrickery tool
Often it’s selective “fact spinning” to CONTRUCT narratives that support libmob agendas.
ITV local news most prominent item was
‘group called Muslim Hikes received *ABUSE* to do with Christmas walk’
#1 At first it sounded like they were walking along then things became apparent
.. the “abuse” was online comments
#2 This isn’t local news the area was Mam Tor which is not in the progs region
and the leader who was aired is not from the region either he’s from Coventry
#3 Why no specifics in the title ?
It’s normal to them in the title
If they leave them out that suggests it’s not that bad
BBC some comments suggested they were not “proper walkers”
and a group so large would damage the trails and the ecosystem.
Wow that’ serious …. not
BBC Muslim hikers say abusive comments won’t stop them
It’s a nothing story connected to a Muslim PR whizz
which is tweeted like crazy by media folk cos it suits their narrative.
If any group puts something on Facebook .. of course some nutters are going to make sarky posts
Some PR people might fake posts, but don’t think these Muslims did ..they are too mild.

a simple google search under the auspices of people attacked by muslims in the uk will reveal 3 pages of the poor sods being attacked (well not executed or beheaded no just a bad word said) , whilst no mention of them running out of their ghettos whenever one is arrested and attacking the police, ot attacking christian preachers at Speakers Corner
the very same people responsible for 90% of the wars and strife in the world, the very same people responsible for burning christian churches and executing those not of their religion the very same that gang rape white children whilst racially abusing them, and the very same that protect these within their culture that do this as more important than the law of the country they live within
We have to rely on the foreign press to tell us what the bbc refuse to report unless one wants to have a look at local news: reported in India:
the bbc is becoming a an international embarrassment, racist attacks in the UK by muslims hidden
“I was having birthday drinks with a group of girls and guys including Chinese friends. There were a group of Asian men inside the venue – one of them kept coming up to me and harassing me. He seemed to have a problem with me being an Indian girl with a multi-racial group of friends.
“For some reason he got really angry with her [Mandy] and started abusing her calling her a dirty chink. He said “take your f****** coronavirus and take it back home. I was shocked and angry so I shouted for him to stop and tried to push him away,” Ms. Solanki was quoted as saying by the Sunday Mercury newspaper.
Indian-origin woman in U.K. beaten up for saving her Chinese friend from racist attack
he attack was over coronavirus outbreak. A spokeswoman of Birmingham Chinese Society said: “There has always been abuse. The virus has given some individuals a reason for that abuse.”
An Indian-origin woman, a trainee lawyer, in the U.K. fell unconscious after being beaten up by an unidentified man. She had tried to save her Chinese friend from a racist attack over coronavirus, media reports said, on Monday.
The incident took place when Meera Solanka (29) from England’s Solihull town was out with her friends, including her Chinese friend Mandy Huang (28) from London, celebrating her birthday in Midlands region.
Ms. Solanka was knocked unconscious and hospitalised after she stepped in when Mandy was told: “Take your f****** coronavirus back home!”, Birmingham Mail newspaper reported.

And what is the BBC if not public sector?

However the general range seems to be tolerable.
They’ll be cases, but enough workers for most things to function.

The issue is of course that a headline such as ‘covid death rate continues to fall’ just absolutely is not what the BBC want to report.

Maxi ,
You brought up the subject of the Muslim rape gangs .

“Boy, 15, stabbed to death in London Park” https://www.bbc.co.uk/
Think you will find that Croydon is in Surrey, BBC. Just because you are in central London it doesn’t mean that every place inside the M25 is in London. I know you wish to serve Mayor Kahane’s expansionist cause but technically, strictly, Croydon is in Surrey. In addition, I wish you would not announce in the News quite so lightly that the tragic killing of another teen means that the death toll record of last year was equalled.

The fatal stabbing on Thursday evening happened shortly after a 15-year-old boy was also found fatally wounded in Ashburton Park, Croydon.

Stew,
Good points and of course I agree that Ghislaine Maxwell should only be the first of very many to face prosecution.

This has to be to seen in the context of the rather more generous coverage of American sex abuse trials…..
Hidden away in the Sheffield and South Yorkshire section of the BBC webshite is this disturbing story, first reported presumably in The Times.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-59828338

Pitiful and, btw, keep your daughters locked in.

Scientific American:
The Psychology of Fact-Checking
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-psychology-of-fact-checking1/
However, others argued Biden’s statement about supporting “redirecting” funds to other agencies was a clear acknowledgement of his support of decreased funding for police.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2020-53997196
Lots of context there did help Biden
A tweeter comments about bias within the Sciam article
When discussing Biden saying that he wanted to defund the police the authors provide 252 words of context/nuance
Trump’s fine ppl hoax gets 55 words and they don’t even admit that Trump explicitly said “I’m not talking about the Nazis”

Financial Times:
How ‘fact-checking’ can be used as censorship
https://www.ft.com/content/69e43380-dd6d-4240-b5e1-47fc1f2f0bdc

Yes that is a sound FT piece from Feb 2021

BBC some comments suggested they were not “proper walkers”
and a group so large would damage the trails and the ecosystem.

a simple google search under the auspices of people attacked by muslims in the uk will reveal 3 pages of the poor sods being attacked (well not executed or beheaded no just a bad word said) , whilst no mention of them running out of their ghettos whenever one is arrested and attacking the police, ot attacking christian preachers at Speakers Corner
the very same people responsible for 90% of the wars and strife in the world, the very same people responsible for burning christian churches and executing those not of their religion the very same that gang rape white children whilst racially abusing them, and the very same that protect these within their culture that do this as more important than the law of the country they live within
