Best Wishes to All Posters and Readers of this site . 2022 marks the Centenary of the BBC . And Just Think – maybe a million more TV Licences will be cancelled . ….
I don’t need youtube for the most prominent Indian comedians, I get it every time I pop into my local shop
He has the local paper front page from 1979 wallpapered around the shop, nestled between the latest copy of Big Jugs and Readers Wives, showing CCTV screen grabs of him beating the crap out of a local hoodie trying the nick a bar of chocolate
If I am feeling a little depressed and in need of cheering up I just ask him “has been back?” what do you think about this Brexit thing then ?
He could rewrite the new edition of Mein Kampf if he put his mind to it and put down the baseball bat
It appears that these Pagan Police Officers have a thing against “Far Right” extremists.
So I expect Tommy Robinson to wake up covered in snakes or with his hair on fire anytime now.
Just when you think the bottom of the barrel has been scraped by the crazies and nut jobs in the diversity departments in our National Institutions they find a new lower level to sink to.
Let’s see if I understand.
Far right extremists oppose Moslems and are Islamophobic.
Moslems are very devout people who worship an all knowing Allah and feel threatened by unbelievers.
Pagans are unbelievers who are dedicated to defending Moslems.
I’m guessing for every signature at least ten or more others agree but either think (rightly) a petition will make no difference or don’t even know about it.
Keep the petition going. If it gets half a million or maybe a million, then Surantony will go down in history as the knight who had a million objectors to his knighthood
The point should be made that BLiar is entitled to a peerage, only he hasn’t accepted it because if he does he will have to declare the source of his income.
Of course a peerage is a more senior honour / title than a knighthood begging the question why anyone thought it appropriate to award this to someone who had already declined a higher honour?
I saw that poll and my immediate thought was that the very specific and devious wording of ‘Brexit has gone badly’ does not mean people regret leaving. Just that the politicians didn’t do it very well. Along with all the negative hysteria the BBC has been causing.
Net result for me : more desperate remainer scumbaggery.
Apparently I'm No37 among UK tech influencers. https://t.co/CngMPeumt3 I'm not sure what that means, but I think it's good. Hopefully it'll be useful when I go freelance in June
It will be interesting how the move from one of 3 running a £5,000,000,000 green propaganda outfit with reach globally to… solo bozo… impacts the rating.
Imagine a UK which has same energy prices as the US
and same fossil fuel tax income as the US per person
.Everything would be cheaper
hospitals would have more nurses
…. Harra is partially responsible for UK’s situation.
BBC WEB-SITE Watch #1 – funny definition but then . . ….
… . . . . . that is the BBC for you: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z3dkkty. ‘Colourful’ to my non-twisted non-BBC mind means ‘full of colour’. What do two of this article’s six places have in common. They are monochromatic. I wonder if the BBC know what that word means? Or was this article just an excuse to travel to these locations funded by the TV taxpayers?
Rough sleepers in the UK are having big problems getting help and shelter and councils urge them to sleep in the open in town centres so the outreach teams can find them.

For the past year I’ve been working on a huge project about what happened on Jan 6 last year. It’s a podcast series for @BBCRadio4 and @bbcworldservice called The Coming Storm and it lands tomorrow. You can listen to a trailer here https://t.co/vcyMA16MXB
BBC news stating that the PM will stick to his plan and not implement any new restrictions.
BBC Correspondents have been continually saying he would have to because of the massive rise in infections, bullsh-it. The government never said that, but actually said it would continully review the situation and said it would only implement new restrictions if needed.
For once the government have got things right and the BBC are seething.
Rest assured, the BBC, with the help of the left wing media will find some other crap to have a go at this government
Beyond parody.
Utterly beyond parody.
Having skied for over 25 years I tuned in to the BBC’s Ski Sunday. It used to be about skiing. Then a broader range of snow sports.
And now?
We hear about sisters doing moguls.
Guess what? One has come out as pansexual. Nope, I don’t know what that means either but the BBC think it important enough to feature.
Next up. A feature on an American freestyle snowboarder who won Silver at the 2014 Olympics but has decided to compete for the UK.
Guess what? He is gay. The BBC think we need to know.
Now does the sexuality of both of these people actually need to be mentioned in a ski programme?
Obviously not but this being the wretched BBC means even the most innocent of programmes must have an agenda to stuff down our throats.
Per the Anychess being shorthanded due to covid (think of a number/variant) there is a simple solution, which would cover all unionised employment. Revert to a doctors note for sickness and get rid of self certification. Stop statutory sick pay being paid from day 1 and pay it upon return to work with a doctors note. The unions would of course scream blue murder, Boris can then say “It is just an interim measure whilst the country is gripped by this pandemic” Works for me.
It is reported that ex Minister John Wittingdale is saying that the BBC License Fee will be discontinued and that the BBC will receive a government grant for continuing to supply an offering of children’s programmes and news ( can anyone tell the difference)
. The grant will be worth one third of the current fee . For the rest of its output the BBC will become a subscription only service , or for that matter share the grant with GB News to ensure diversity of views.
If this is true then it’s certainly a step in the right direction but why not go the whole hog and make it full subscription service with no government grant. The obvious danger is that successive governments increase the ‘grant’ and the BBC becomes as powerful as ever.
Doublethinker.
If the government is going to give them a grant for the news and children’s tv then they can continue doing exactly what they do now with their news propaganda and child brainwashing.
The government doesn’t give them money by the way, it’s taxpayers (our) money.
The bbbc should get £0 from the ‘government’
As far as I am concerned the BBC’s assets belong to the public
The resources should not be given away free to lefty/libs who do a total takeover after it goes subscription.
It is reported? Where by whom? It’s important to share links to these stories so readers can access them for themselves, especially when the story is this big.
Apparently so far Lincolnshire hospital appointments are running normally.
BTW Lincolnshire NHS has been short of top staff for years
cos they want to be in big cities with motorways.
The only city is Lincoln and it is small
..and there are no motorways in the Lincolnshire NHS region
.. There’s M180/M18 in North/Northeast Lincolnshire ..which is a different hospital trust Grimsby/Scunthorpe/Goole
I wonder how many NHS managers have left their laptops + Aeron chairs in the conservatory to don hygienic overalls and cycled in to a health facility to wheel patients around?
Mrs Voter is in quiz mode tonight, all bbc, at the moment it’s university challenge. The universities must be told to pick 1 Muslim, 1 East Asian, 1 mixed genes and maybe 1 white fellow if they can’t get a white lesbian. No wonder the scores are a lot lower than 25 years ago!
Stew, you should have watched Gt British Pottery Throwdown. (a programme I’ve loved in the past). Started tonight, and there are the usual suspects of pick n mix, plus someone called AJ – make of that what you will, I’m still trying to figure it out.
One contestant made a really lovely child’s breakfast set, with a fairy, and painted the fairy brown, fair enough, but then one of the hosts (nice mixed race chap) decided to make a thing out of it, and said his young daughter struggled to identify with a lot of things, and a fairy of her own colour was a lovely thing to do. Every sodding programme now has to include a political agenda, and it took the edge off the enjoyment.
The idea that you can only be inspired by people that look like you
is very patronising to black/brown people.
Many men can be inspired by Thatcher
many women can be inspired by Churchill.
A family might move to live in Japan ..and be inspired by a person they see there ..they don’t expect Japanese society to disproportionately change to accommodate them.
‘The idea that you can only be inspired by people that look like you is very patronising to black/brown people.’
It may be patronising but it’s now a staple within that culture. All flows from a central insecurity: they’ve been coerced, conquered and enslaved throughout the entirety of human history and nobody in their collective has yet offered a suitable theory as to why they make it so easy for bad people to continually f*ck them over.
When they finally figure it out, perhaps we’ll see an end to all the sanctimonious bleating and self-obsession. Or maybe they’ll just double-down. It’s tedious, nonetheless.
TR’s car was firebombed on Sunday, one day after he released a trailer for his upcoming documentary exposing Muslim grooming gangs.
“These gangs are waging war on the survivors and anyone who is investigating them. Maybe this is the reason that mainstream journalists shy away from this problem. Maybe they’re all scared of these gangs. The problem is, we’re not scared. This won’t deter us. Nothing will deter us,” Robinson said.
In his earlier video he says that the home of the family he was staying with, was attacked twice
And the police so useless, that he had to arrange for a safehouse for the family.
James Randi exposed this fraudster years ago. This article could have made more of that – instead it seems to promote the idea that Geller can in fact bend spoons using only his mind 🤷🏼♂️https://t.co/iZpzoSryKb
@RPM the point is they have shown a positive image of an Israeli there
Uri Geller was always a fraud/ brilliant conjuror
.. TV’s storytelling made out for decades that is fake psychic powers were real.
They prefer a good story to truth.
Covid peak case day was last Wednesday at 220K now that delayed data is in .. cases since then ..so far seem set to be lower
but with school/work going back some future days could be higher.
7 day deaths rate has gone back up to 109/day
mainly due to a bumper 130 deaths last Tuesday
but all in all it’s turning out better than expected given it’s winter and holidays.
So, Andrew’s lawyers are going for a case dismissal because his accuser has trousered a few bob years ago from Epstein with the proviso that no claim could be made against anyone else.
Well, to my mind, even if the case is dismissed by the Judge, then it doesn’t make Andrew innocent.
Something tells me that she is a ‘Gold Digger’ ? At 17 she knew what she was doing . In Wales and I believe Scotland, they can now be ‘adults’ and vote at 16. How many pop singers and bands had ‘groupies’ back in the sixties, all gagging to get into their changing rooms ? I am not saying Andrew was right but at the time I can think of many US girls would have jumped at the chance to be with a real Prince?
I still don’t really understand all this. The photo of Andrew with the girl was in London where the age of consent is 16 and she was 17. Did she really think Prince Andrew was hanging round her for her scintillating conversation? It is all very sleazy, yes but the sort of salacious tittle tattle the News Of The World specialised in, rather than something to bring down the royal family.
Deborah, the other thing that I find puzzling is that Prince Andrew does not appear to have a Diary Secretary. I have worked for/with some busy people – not royalty – and their daily lives, Monday to Friday, were detailed by their secretaries, down to the nearest half-hour. That year’s diary for Prince Andrew would either prove or disprove the claimed Pizza Express encounter in an instant.
No, I don’t buy this idea that 17, 18 year old can’t be victims of grooming
Most 25 year women could be groomed by someone more mature than they are.
I am not in favour of relationships where there is a big power imbalance ..yet in countries like Thailand , that is a norm.
Just occasionally courts have accepted that a younger girl was the control against a 25 year old man etc.
Ultimately it’s up to the judicial system to decide, and in cases where there is not enough evidence, that’s the prosecutor’s decision without it coming to court.
There was a Donald Pleasance film the other night where the 19 year old secretary was portrayed as the manipulator of a married man twice her age.
Likewise in a Rumpole story a 15 year old girl was the manipulator of a 25 yo teacher ..He was jailed and she laughed.
There are two sides to every story, and I knew some very sexually manipulative young ladies when I was younger. I recall a group at school who used every gambit going to get what they wanted out of male teachers, at least those stupid enough to fall for it.
That’s not the point though. The Duke of York has been groomed since birth to be in the limelight, and taught how to behave ‘correctly’ in every situation, including, I’m quite sure, how to deal with ‘gold diggers’. He knew exactly what he was doing, and how it would be perceived by the British public if it ever got out.
I’m quite sure Ms Giuffre(?) also knew exactly what she was doing too, but that has no bearing, on whether, or not Prince Andrew is guilty here. Some of the other women in this Epstein case strike me as being much more innocent (and perhaps not too bright), and were manipulated/groomed for sure, and that’s appalling, whether they were over an ‘age of consent’, or not.
As for Harry and his gold digger… well, he’s clearly not too bright, but then his father (whichever one) isn’t either. The Windsors really are in trouble.
Why is Al Beeb reluctant to report the record number of 28K landing on our shores ? Other sources have .It will put a huge burden on the resources of this country . When will they be deported as promised by our government ?

Lauren Moss @LaurenM0ss very excited to be appointed @BBCNews LGBT & Identity Correspondent.
It’ll be an absolute privilege to report on such important stories when I start in 2022
Rainbow flag
Unashamed, pure propaganda Labour promotion piece by the unbiased BBC.
Including a totally inappropriate kicking for Boris halfway through. Complete with a couple of links to other BBC anti-Boris stories and a couple of pro-Starmer stories.
Another Labour party political broadcast supplied by the BBC and paid for by the public.
These BBC #LabourSez pr as news efforts most surely must backfire for both, especially when clearly not credible and often outright hilariously wibble.
Has Timmeh! issued a ‘trust, transparency and impartiality’ statement again this month?
Over 500,000 people have signed a petition to strip former Prime Minister Tony Blair of his knighthood.
Labour Leader Sir Keir Starmer says he thinks 'Tony Blair deserves the honour', particularly for 'his work in Northern Ireland.' pic.twitter.com/bpGbxoEfOT
Reading the various reports, it seems that all the politicians supporting it are really concerned that if we break with tradition, they might not get one themselves in the future.
The whole system is corrupt to the core. And has been since it started.
To be fair, the dog was a legend and under normal circumstances, I would have made a new friend but it had absolutely zero regard for its own life and tried to off itself under my wheels three times! 😅😅😅 pic.twitter.com/UdGUXofj0K
9am R4 a lot of talk on immigration, cos the topic is the aging population.
At first the lefty panelists came up with firm opinion we need immigration for labour and innovation etc.
.. No one mentioned that low population is a good driver of innovation
like you build better robots instead of importing cheap labour.
Just like covid today’s press review could be more drawn out than expected
The two sides of the same counterfeit political coin receive some advice from their respective media champions this morning.
‘The Tories just need to calm down. Ruth Davies on why plunging opinion polls are just a mid-term wobble‘ (Daily Telegraph)
‘The Labour Party will have to earn the public’s trust despite the government’s “incompetence becoming plain”, Sir Keir Starmer is to say.‘ (BBC)
One of the great secrets of life is knowing who your friends are.
The Torygraph appears to have been suddenly jolted awake after napping in that big comfy leather wingback chair by the fireside for the best part of the last two years – think of that newspaper as Rowley Birkin QC – that clubbish, white-haired, drinker’s-nosed, elderly, three-sheets-to-the-wind, labyrinthine anecdote-telling comic character played by Paul Whitehouse. You know the one – “I was terribly drunk”
The Telegraph wakes from extended slumber with a start, notices for the first time in months the clear bright light of day and startles the other recumbent members in the room as it blurts: “We can’t jab the whole planet every six months” – the paper quotes ‘a leading vaccine expert‘ as if no civilian with half-a-brain hadn’t already clocked on to that by now.
‘innoculation will need to be restricted to the most vulnerable in future‘ – so get out of here with your mask mandates, travel bans, track and trace, vaccine passports, bullying of schoolchildren with your fears, entertainment venue curfews, shop and workplace closures, and all the rest of your riduclous lockdown paraphernalia aimed at the otherwise healthy population.
My abiding memory of 2020 was visiting a London pub with a small group of friends, being assigned to a table of six and during the evening one member of our bubble being ticked off by bar staff for daring to rise from his seat and going over to chat with someone from a neighbouring table.
I wonder if we can ever hope for a time when he may receive an apology, an amnesty, a pardon for this preceived transgression if you will, for his normal human behaviour wrongly categorised in far less tolerent times as perverse and abhorrent?
Maybe…? There’s a precedent of sorts…
‘Pardons extended to all abolished same-sex crimes.. More people will be eligible for a pardon for historical criminal convictions relating to homosexual activity, the government has said. It means anyone convicted or cautioned for consensual homosexual activity, under now-abolished laws, can apply to have them “disregarded”.’ (BBC)
Some would diagnose prejudice as stemming from some sublimated phobia and sometimes intolerance to be rooted in projection.
One has long noticed the severe case of coronaphobia exhibited over there at the ‘i’ newspaper: ‘NHS leaders warn PM over growing staffing crisis‘ – the now familiar several frontpage scary bullet points are of course ever present – one contracts some detail somewhat for the sake of space: ‘The Royal College of Nursing and other medics urge government to take a “more cautious approach” on restrictions…‘; Several NHS trusts have now declared “critical incidents” i understands… “warning of unsustainable demands”; ‘PM admits NHS will come under considerable pressure…‘; ‘Sage scientists tell i that Omicron peak could be longer and more “drawn out” than expected‘
One could and perhaps should further abbreviate for the sake of brevity: “Whaaaaa scary fear scary whaaaa! We’re all doomed, I tell you! Doctor said so!”
Where is our salvation?
‘“Shocking” threat to parishes as more than 400 churches close in less than decade‘ (Telegraph)
This will scarcely trouble the metropolitan liberal-minded believers among us: ‘2022’s hottest novel “I wanted to celebrate the mixed race, middle class” (‘i’) – so says Nikki May on her debut novel Wahala: ‘Nigerian-British author… never read books about mixed-race, middle-class people like her. Her first novel sees to that – and it’s already being adapted by the BBC‘ – of course it is.
More good news for the liberal-minded: ‘Khan moves to decriminalise use of cannabis in London‘ (Telegraph) – one supposes that at least one crime statistic in the capital will be instantly at the stroke of pen heading in the right direction.
There would appear to be a slight pause to the previous media “rewilding” craze that seemed to envisage Surbiton apeing the Serengeti, like Tom and Barbara, late of The Good Life, turned up to eleven – second thoughts, we wonder, or as we’d prefer to believe Margo and Jerry Leadbetter giving some neighbourly advice on prospective property values should a pack of wolves be let loose in The Avenue?: ‘Animal attack! The people who survived terrifying encounters‘ (Guardian); ‘Sir David Attenborough. My brush with an “aggressive” cactus‘ (Telegraph)
The question “Can you hack it?” is set to take on a very different meaning for modern school kids faced with their exams: ‘Schoolchildren in England are to take A-level and GCSE papers online‘ (Times)
‘Covid chaos…‘ – suggests the Daily Mail with unabashed glee – ‘...Fear as million isolate. Schools, commuters, hospitals and businesses face full impact today‘ – well, no one really wants to rush back to the grind after an extended holiday.
Fortunately, for you lovely people hereabouts, I see this daily somewhat eccentric press round up some sort of public service. If not a frontline hero at least a backroom would-be warrior?
So, finally…
‘Woman strips down to underwear and uses dress as face mask in front of shocked family. In a shocking display of dedication to Covid rules, a woman was caught on camera stripping off in an ice cream parlour in front of two children and their dad – who seemed to be sneaking a peek‘ (Daily Satyr online has the CCTV pics)
TOADY Watch #1 – Agenda for the day at Editorial meeting: the BBC R4 News Running Order
Various opinions were voiced: “We shouldn’t make it too obvious about the BBC supporting Starmer’s attempt to cling on to the leadership of the Labour Party with his speech today.” “Well, just in, we do have the news about the four guilty verdicts for Elizabeth Holmes, founder of Ther” “Sorry, to cut in, but isn’t that Epstein document a clincher for Prince Andrew’s legal team?” “Yes but that is slightly old news – we get enough complaints from listeners, viewers and web-site users about the BBC always running out-of-date news.” “OK, perhaps the Holmes verdicts first, Starmer and his speech second and the Prince Andrew thing after that? Are we agreed about the top three? What can come next?” “Then, what about the web-site?”
Dear Winston Smith of the BBC Historical Corrections Department,
As I’ve had to look at your BBC news and use other sources to determine that your news is not news but selective editorial opinion I’d like to request that I have a refund for the last 4 years plus get the BBC free from now on.
Please let me know how I can go about this as I am willing to create a full list of articles that I’ve had to investigate plus time taken for me to check your fact checker whilst realising that the BBC intentionally removes news rather than incorrectly report on it, uses images to sway opinion or misleads with the main titles hoping no one reads the full article.

Anyone else here noticed constant references to the Devolved Nations in the news. Who dreamt that up, and doesn’t it sound as if separation is more of a reality.
Nadhim was born in Baghdad to Kurdish parents in 1967. Under threat of persecution from Saddam Hussein’s regime, his family immigrated to the UK when he was 9. He grew up in Sussex and was educated at King’s College School in West London and University College London where he studied Chemical Engineering.
In 2000 he founded YouGov, a leading market research company which has since become famous for the accuracy of its political polling. Having started life in an office in Nadhim’s garden shed, YouGov now employs over 400 people on three continents. He floated the company on the London Stock Exchange in 2005 and was named Entrepreneur of the year by Ernst & Young in 2008.
bBC Scotland ( £32million white elephant)”announced recently that
” the First Minister will address the nation at 2p.m”
Stopped me in my tracks that, then I wondered which of her 40 spin advisors had come up with that line?
40 spin advisors…..gathered around a jumped up parish councillor…..enough to make you crack like Michael Douglas in that Movie.
‘First Minister Nichola Sturgeon said at 2pm on Tuesday January 4th 2022, in a 5 minute broadcast on the Home Service, that as Johnson had failed to respond to Scottish demands to leave Scotland, “This country is at war with England”.
#Starmer To say Tony Blair deserves a knighthood & that the BBC, the 'best broadcaster in the world', has guided us through Covid well is, at best, bold…
Hello ! Apologies if this is mentioned above, but an update from my post near the start of this thread about the BBC New Years fireworks display in londonistan.
I just found out that the poem read on the bridge by the unknown person of colour was in fact written by a white British person ( apparently of Welsh parentage though born in NZ ) called ‘ Tomfoolery’
I am sure he would have been perfectly capable of reading his own poem .. But somehow he was not chosen to do so .. I wonder why ?!
Apparently this Tomfoolery guy also wrote the diversity Britains got talent George Floyd dance so he certainly would have had suitable lefty woke credentials to have read out his own poem !
Being left and woke isn’t good enough it seems, you have to be left AND ‘diverse’ in order to make the NYE londonistan fireworks cut !
1pm BBC local news “Sir Key Starmer has said the Humber lies at the foot of our hydrogen future”
clip “The smelly Tories closed the Rough gas works*
and that is why we have high gas prices
The workers there aren’t looking back
they are looking to the future as a world centre for hydrogen storage “
* It’s not a “works”… it is a storage facility
.. it kept getting leaks
British gas had asked for more money to fix them the gov said no
Now the gov wants to repurpose the caverns as a hydrogen storage facility
A more difficult job cos hydrogen molecules are even smaller so even more prone to escaping.
.. The hydrogen project is NOT green .. A plant in Hull will buy gas and use steam to split it to get hydrogen ..it will output hydrogen and CO2
They dream they will not release the CO2, but rather Capture it
However no one in the world has got viable CCS to work.
The irony is the hydrogen mostly then gets sent to Drax to be burnt
Daft cos they might as well have sent the natural-gas straight to Drax and cut out the waste of the hydrogen stage.
News at One
British steel industry being penalised because we haven’t signed a deal with USA . EU has signed deal, according to the reporter this is because size matters. No mention of all the other trade deals we have signed .
Very poor piece of propaganda. Tabloid “journalism” at its very worst.
Greybull Capital
British Steel was formed in 2016 after being sold by India’s Tata for £1 to the private equity firm Greybull Capital. It entered insolvency less than three years later. It had sought financial support from the government before it was placed in liquidation.9 Mar 2020
Radio 5 Live this morning…with the devout leftie Nicky Campbell. Topic-Blair’s knighthood.
Guest from the Independent newspaper is invited to make a contribution.. No mention of knighthood but just how wonderful Blair would have been during the Pandemic and how he would have handled it much better than this government and how appalling Johnson was…How in God’s name does he know how much better Blair would have been, I don’t give a sh-t who was in power you can’t tell me he would have handled it any better.
BBC trying to defend Blair, how can you defend the undefendable.
As a veteran of Northern Ireland during the troubles I find Blair’s knighthood f–king disgusting..He threw us veterans to the wolves whilst giving known terrorists a get out jail free card. And why, to make political capital. How must the family of Dennis Hutchins be feeling, the poor man was hounded to his death as a result of Blair’s deal….how must the family of the soldiers killed in the Iraqi war be feeling, WMD my arse..
A knighthood for Blair..??? He should be in a prison cell.
Just typical of of the BBC to try and defend him, I wouldn’t give the lump of Primordial Slime the steam off my sh-t..Let’s hope Blair’s next posting is hell.
Couple of qualifiers: I seem to recall deaths were 48 yesterday but I lost the page before I could record it. Forgot to do it this morning before it was updated. Therefore data may not have been updated correctly from yesterday.
Secondly the BBC did put a rider in italics which is still there on the page. I think the info will not be as ‘reliable’ as it is until 10th January – if it ever was before Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022.
Finally, deaths have been quite low at times, 18 is the recent record low but remember these are deaths ‘with’ and not ‘of the coronavirus’.
🌎 Guess who's back? Philomena Cunk returns to @BBCTwo and @BBCiPlayer with brand new series Cunk On Earth. She's "looking forward to getting out of the house and tracing humanity’s progress and also finding out exactly what a ‘civilisations’ is."
Watching North Korea from a supersonic fighter jet

How much G-Force can a BBC journalist take before passing out?
BBC Seoul Correspondent Laura Bicker takes to the skies in a supersonic fighter jet to report on South Korea’s drive to stand on its own two feet militarily.

Yep. Use of a brown paper bag quite normal. I recall a Beeboid barffing while flying with the Red Arrows. In a Hawk trainer, almost certainly not as fast and agile as the S.Korean fighters. Was a bit surprised that Bicker’s G-suit did not appear to work in the centrifuge although 6G is quite a lot.

Well, the comments about it are all from the 28th, so I assume it was closed on 27th. Seems early to me.
And it’s a bit odd that they actually picked one person as the winner for the last one in 2019.
Looking at the ‘results’, it’s clear it was just an exercise for them to shove it home that they are very upset Musk won the Time award instead of some left-wing activist. They were very confident their readers would come up a list containing Greta, Rashford and all the others I see.
Two things are certain though : Musk would not appear and Rowling only appeared because they got found out. She stands out like a sore thumb in that list.
I meant the comments online telling us it had been closed, not comments on the article itself. The earliest I saw was 10am on 28th so I assume it was closed at night on 27th.
Bottomline, the 218K positives today is misleading
they are almost all catchup cases spread over the last week.
Last Wednesday day was the peak
and subsequent days are looking lower, none of them will bea new peak.
Future days could be a new peak.
7 day deaths are 109, that looks set to drop.
Stew, quite right. “During the Christmas holiday period the publication of Covid data by UK nations has been intermittent. Moslems are very devout people who worship an all knowing Allah and feel threatened by unbelievers.
Pagans are unbelievers who are dedicated to defending Moslems.

Last week The Independent trumpeted a poll result that claimed most Britains now thought Brexit to be a mistake.
Most voters say Brexit has gone badly, new poll finds
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/brexit-poll-survey-gone-badly-b1982375.html
This poll was apparently commissioned by the Independent itself.
Now today we see the results of another poll on the same subject, this time by Ipsos MORI, the renowned and apparently unbiased poll specialists.

The moral of this story for all newsy folk is to find the truth then print the truth like it or not and not your own opinion.

‘Omission is the greatest form of lie.’
CAS-4987700-SY1FTF : BBC NewsWatch says boredom with pro-Brexit march.
CAS-4963895-3HKGDN: Tommy Robinson: Are you reporting on him?.
CAS-4844672-N8FDYY: Update on the MP Expenses 2009 scandal in 2018.
CAS-4939547-J71Z1V: Here’s hoping Ireland do the right thing G.Lineker.
CAS-4937378-YKMWBJ: BBC not reporting ‘Day of Freedom’ March 06may2018.
CAS-4906141-BFJQL0: I take offence that presenters promote their books.
CAS-4892811-C820SC: I am offended that I have to pay the BBC TV Tax.
CAS-4824332-633N1P: What happened in Italy was not covered …
CAS-4933135-ZV3V7F: The omission is the most powerful form of lie …
CAS-6005141-S1V9D1: Not seen a report on the UK Governments Covid19
Let me know how to go about resolving the issue of paying for something that wastes my time as I have to check each story rather than rely on its accuracy.
Cheers,

Anyone else here noticed constant references to the Devolved Nations in the news. Who dreamt that up, and doesn’t it sound as if separation is more of a reality.

Hello ! Apologies if this is mentioned above, but an update from my post near the start of this thread about the BBC New Years fireworks display in londonistan.
I just found out that the poem read on the bridge by the unknown person of colour was in fact written by a white British person ( apparently of Welsh parentage though born in NZ ) called ‘ Tomfoolery’
https://m.facebook.com/pg/probablytomfoolery/posts/?_se_imp=2llKqxbq7AjhccFKH

* It’s not a “works”… it is a storage facility
.. it kept getting leaks

Very poor piece of propaganda. Tabloid “journalism” at its very worst.

MM, here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51768274

How much G-Force can a BBC journalist take before passing out?
BBC Seoul Correspondent Laura Bicker takes to the skies in a supersonic fighter jet to report on South Korea’s drive to stand on its own two feet militarily.
But first, she does some gruelling centrifuge training to get a feel of the massive G-Forces fighter pilots work under.

Since then there was a third event and further police statement and news stories
https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/black-country/police-patrols-stepped-up-telford-22636912.amp
A statement from the West Mercia force appeared to link incidents of criminal damage and suspected arson in the past week to an independent investigation into child sexual exploitation in the Shropshire town.
Jamie Dunn, Superintendent for Telford, said: “I’m aware of current concerns within the local community and I’d like to assure the public that all incidents are being taken seriously and thoroughly investigated.
Support is also being offered to the victims.
Right at the end of the article there is a link to the papers top stories
#1 “Tommy Robinson’s car ‘blown up outside Telford hotel in petrol bomb attack'”
https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/black-country/tommy-robinsons-car-blown-up-22640664
Arsonists have allegedly* ‘blown up’ far-right* activist Tommy Robinson’s car outside a hotel in Telford.
The former English Defence League* leader has claimed his vehicle was torched in the town by people determined to ‘silence him’.
It is believed to be the third time controversial campaigner Robinson – whose real name* is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon – has had his car set alight.
* 4 slant the story tickboxes there.

My phone keeps pushing far-left propaganda at me and some of it is useful to see.
Here is a classic ‘fact check’:
JK Rowling Guardian: Claims paper pulled poll revealed as hoax
https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/19820170.jk-rowling-guardian-claims-paper-pulled-poll-revealed-hoax/
‘A national newspaper has denied it closed a poll and removed it from its website after readers voted JK Rowling ‘Person of the Year 2021’.
The casual reader will of course think they didn’t pull it because Rowling was winning and the claim is a lie.
Nope: apparently it’s all false because it wasn’t actually a poll. It was The Guardian ‘inviting people to submit suggestions’.
But they still pulled it because she was winning.
The Left are like pathetic spiteful schoolboys whose first reaction to getting caught is to try to lie and cheat their way out.

I disagree, it was always likely to get closed after a few days.
It wasn’t an open invitation to submit opinions for days and days.

It is likely that a full national picture will only be available towards the end of the first week of January.” May be that accurate numbers – if they ever were – will not be available until 10th Jan.
