The tragic case of Archie is not something any parent would want to endure, BUT with no funds, who pays for the endless legal battles in each higher court battle ? I’m also amazed that it can take years for a case to come to court, yet this and other similar cases can get a slot in these higher courts within 24 hours ! how does that happen ?

Not only that. The cost of the actual care is astronomical for a patient declared brain dead.

Liz Truss invents a policy on the back of a fag packet, which is to argue for regional pay in the public sector. At the first whiff of opposition she has had to backtrack. Why?

This is an excellent plan. Make the public sector adopt market policies in the labour market, which is what happens every day of the week in the private sector.

A teacher in London can barely afford the rent for a studio flat. In South Yorkshire they could buy a 4 bed detached.

    The case is clearly made.

More wokeism and “re-education” going on in taffland …

“For want of a shoe, the horse was lost. For want of a horse, the rider was lost. For want of a rider, the battle was lost. For want of a battle, the kingdom was lost, And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.”

For want of General Picton, Waterloo was lost .
For want of Waterloo, the battle against slavery was lost! And all for the want of a great general.

BBC desperately supporting Sunak, as Liz will wipe the floor with him, and he’s ‘their’ boy, ticking all the boxes, except for wealth, insincerity, more wealth, not-colour, the covids, money, partygate (ssssssh)…

    And did I mention wealth and non-dom – er – that’s a definite maybe…

    Go Liz!

“Channel Migrants: New daily high for 2022 set on Monday”
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-62392898
\\A government spokesman said: “The rise in dangerous Channel crossings is unacceptable.//

\\”People should always claim asylum in the first safe country they reach, rather than risk their lives and line the pockets of ruthless criminal gangs in order to cross the Channel.”//

What are the government doing about it then ?

Funny thing happened today. I was at Ouistreham ferry port to pick up a friend off the ferry. I was stood enjoying a coffee in the sunshine, when 2 Gendarmes walked past with a jungle bunny between them. They were actually walking away from the ferry. I was that taken aback, I didn’t have time to clap. If you are reading this in Hampshire, please don’t get anxious.

Mark Steyn has played the USA VP, Kamala Harris, waffling on about something or other (the urgency of now) and the voice sounded very familiar.

Next time she’s on, close your eyes and think of ‘Janice’ from friends. She was Chandler Bing’s on and off girlfriend with the “Oh…my….God” catchphrase.

Saw it – I just think the really Biden and Harris are really clever people pretending to be imbeciles….

I just wonder how the audience reacted to such nonsense . I know Americans can be pretty thick – but surely they can see it by now .
At least pelosi has earlier stage dementia so she might not start the war …

Time for the thread of the mid week …
