The MSM is full on NHS panic – but don’t worry – the nurses go on strike in 9 days . If a government increases the number of people in a country by millions in a very few years – how does expect any public service to meet increased demand if the the likes of the medical mafia controls working practices ?

I think most people don’t realise what this government has done .

I wrote before that honours awards shine a dim light on the corruption of the British state – with political patronage / favouritism laid bare .

But it isn’t laid bare . The ‘famous’ actors and sports types get the headlines – but beneath that is the dirt – which goes unnoticed …the whole swamp conspires in this out of self interest as they await ‘their turn ‘…

What else can you call someone who tells you that you can’t change the law or break a law even if it means the destruction of your country right in front of your very eyes.

His ace card in his participation on GB News this evening is, and I paraphrase’ that “Sunn(‘knacker it up’) is getting closer to Macron in working on a solution to defeat the invasion”.

I wonder where Joyce Thacker ended up?

Anyway … Mahroof is a pillar of the community.

Mahroof was appointed as a Magistrate to the Rotherham Bench in 2001. He is a graduate of the IDeA Leadership Academy, Common Purpose Programme and the next Generation of Leaders in Local Government programme run by the Westminster Leadership Academy. Hussain is a member of the Rotherham Partnership Board and the Local Government Yorkshire and the Humber – Local Authority Commission on Asylum and Migration (Migration Yorkshire).

Guy Verhofstadt tweets graphs of EU country purchases from Russia in 2022
That shows that due to the rising cost of gas the EU gave Russia billions more in 2022 than in 2021
only 7 countries cut their payments , and they are all the smallest countries.
    Sweden cut by 60%
    .. https://twitter.com/guyverhofstadt/status/1609852454698635267

I took UK data from the ONS official website
I cannot rule out that they hid some spending
but in the face of it the UK cut 97%

UK/Russia trade chart 2021-23 from ONS
    November 2021 big rise
.. probably due to price of Russian products fuel increasing
Then 24 February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine
Then trade dropped to just medicinal products etc.

A chum sent me this and it’s a bit nerve-wracking…

A thought to remember. Marx said, “Remove one freedom per generation and soon you will have no freedom and no one would have noticed.”

There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class.

One day while the class was in the lab, the professor noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting Communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country’s government and install a new communist regime.

In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked: “Do you know how to catch wild pigs?”

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line.

The young man said that it was no joke. “You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free food.

When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming; When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.

They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side.

The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.”

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in America, Canada, Australia & NZ. The government keeps pushing their people toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare entitlements, medicine, drugs, etc., while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.

One should always remember two truths:

    1. There is no such thing as a free lunch, and

    2. You can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

If you see that all of this wonderful government “help” is a problem confronting the future of democracy in Britain, America , Canada, New Zealand & Australia you might want to share this with your friends.

If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life, then you will probably not share this.

BUT, God help us all when the gate slams shut!

    Think about this:

Quote for today: “The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now outnumbered by those who vote for a living.”

TOADY Watch #2 – still on that missing report from Perth, Scotland

On TWatO yesterday, Jonny Dymond stated that the hotel in Perth did not know how many guests that they had staying on the premises. Now, lurking at the back of Snuffy’s ageing brain is the knowledge that it is required by law in the UK for hotels to know how many guests are in their premises not least for reasons of fire safety. I stand to be corrected by any former hotel receptionists or former Fire Service Officers posting here.

That situation also points to what the Scottish Government and their First Minister have as a ‘lack of control’ on a day when in the first hour of TOADY (I haven’t listened since 6 a.m.) the Westminster Government is accused, by a certain Trade Union boss, of having too much control!

Update: the item is on the BBC’s web-site still in both English and the Gaelic.

The Government’s gift, say experts, edition

NHS: Government urged to take action over pressures (BBC) – oh dear, the last time the government stepped in to attempt in a big way to ease supposed pressure on the NHS – to flatten the curve, so to speak – it turns out that apparently greatly worsened the nation’s health…

Why are excess deaths higher now than during Covid? More people are dying every week than during Covid’s peak years. Last month there were 1,482 more deaths than average each week – known as excess deaths – compared with just 315 two years ago and 1,322 last year… What’s causing these deaths? It isn’t Covid: just 27 per cent of excess deaths in England for the most recent week have Covid as the underlying cause. Instead, problems that built up over lockdowns are being keenly felt now. (Spectator)

Perhaps, given that track record, government should leave well alone – concentrate of things that are within its legislative capability to fix – like the Channel migrant surge – and refrain from empowering all those nanny statist public health officials. Already it feels as though we’re on the slippery slope: Wear a mask if you’re unwell, public urged… to try and stop the spread of the flu (Telegraph)

Already the rail strikes have millions of commuters taking another week of impromptu Lockdown tagged on to their Christmas break – the BBC says think of the children: Children told to stay home from school if sick amid flu, Covid and scarlet fever (BBC)

The triple whammy. Our thoughts are meanwhile with: Navratilova has cancer ‘double whammy’ (Telegraph) – there’s a brave woman who stood up for real women in sport.

None of us enjoy our first world problems of commuting, or, heaven forbid, the dreaded school run. So, who’s up for a new Lockdown?

Apart from all the economic dislocation, the collateral damage to the health of the nation, further concentration of wealth to holders of assets, big cash transfers to crony corporations, destruction of small independent businesses, greater empowerment of the State, damage to childrens’ education and psychological wellbeing… one is tempted to ask – in the manner of Monty Python – what has the government ever done for us?

As that nameless fictional assassin, played by Edward Fox with that rather fruity English accent of his, advises the conspirators who want French president Charles de Gaulle killed in the movie The Day Of The Jackel [1973]: “This is going to cost you an awful lot of money”

Covid pandemic blamed for increase in heart deaths… Thousands missed out on statins or preventative drugs, warns Chris Whitty (Times) – one supposes we can trust the explanation of this growing problem on the cause that Chris Whitty prefers…

American football star Damar Hamlin is in a critical condition after suffering a cardiac arrest during a primetime US National Football League game (BBC); How CAN Christian Eriksen still play football? Danish star has a matchbox-sized defibrillator pacing his heart after suffering life-threatening cardiac arrest last time he played for the Danes in a major tournament… In May 2021 (Daily Mail); Why are professional footballers having heart attacks? (TRT World – Turkish public broadcaster) – they all missed out on their statins?

Future of NHS on a knife edge (Daily Mirror) – oh doctor, please, not the knife… ‘Doctor threatened with a knife by patient who did not have an appointment’ (Birmingham Live)

A TOP doctor is calling on No10 to save the NHS as it buckles under soaring demand and years of cuts (Mirror) – death of a 1,000?

And what, precisely, we wonder, is the recommended remedy – halve the population of potential patients to ease demand?

Or is it in fact that we always come back to the Edward Fox prognosis? “This is going to cost you an awful lot of money”

Professor Phil Banfield… said… it is “within the Government’s gift to pull it back from the brink” (Mirror)

Could there be cheaper, natural (immunity?) or generic unpatented drug cures?

Water is indeed elixir of life, say scientists (Telegraph)

One supposes we could fall back on alternative therapies: Latest health advice is bonkers… Eat your Christmas tree for NY boost, say experts… (Daily Star): Pine Dining – there’s the pun they were working towards.

Matt is away (Telegraph) – and the Guardian has mysteriously gone awol from the BBC online press line ups – so we’ve precious little in the way of laughing matter – aside from some entitled cartoonish ginger whinger all over the newspaper frontpages for the umpteeth time.

BBC WEB-SITE WATCH #1 – only six out of eleven?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-the-papers-64148753 There are normally eleven print newspapers photographed or scanned (I suspect the former) for the BBC’s Blog ‘The Papers’ plus various news programmes such as Newsight although from ageing and dimming memory from long ago, I seem to recall Kirsty Wark (of sqwuak fame) holding up ‘hard copies’ of early editions to the camera.

Why have the BBC omitted the fp of the Guardian from its Blog on the web-site? The print edition has been published in the week before and after Christmas yet it has been consistently missing as it is again today. I suspect the BBC might be up to something. Both TOADY and TWatO contained attacks on HMGoverment today but hard-line Lefties like Mick Lynch will always claim that the BBC takes an establishment, pro-Government line. Perhaps missing out the Guardian is a prelude to a BBC onslaught on something. Perhaps the poor Licence Fee payer in some way?

‘Just how bad is it ? Is it the worst you have seen?’ She asked in terms. Pathetic. Sentimentalist, sob story tripe.

We know the situation, luv. How about the BBC doing some proper reporting for a change. Such as, where is all that extra NHS money actually going? What has changed in the care sector so discharges are so impossible? Why not put those medically fit for discharge in a nice hotel, like we do for rubber cross channel ferry passengers? That would free up a lot of beds. We could even charge the ‘patients’ in part for the level of costs they would have paid at home. Nightingale hospitals? Cottage hospitals? School sports halls during the holiday?

Loads of opportunities for sensible questions any one of us can envisage but oh, no. The BBC have no interest whatever except in telling us incessantly how awful everything is.

I don’t think there is much of a public service ethos about now . For instance – there was a piece about the attitude of ‘plod ‘ which apparently used to be a ‘vocation ‘ but is now just an entry on a CV .

The reasons may be many – but if the jobs market is still ‘good’ then surely people are going to gravitate toward the best financial reward for the least effort ?

Another bit is the attitude of other workers – particularity those with a chip . I’ve managed people who I know were walking HR civil actions – one wrong word – on bit of discrimination – and in goes multiple grievances . Who want to work in an environment like that?

The answer ? A depression . Mass unemployment – forced reduction in welfare support . Painful .

Interesting times as XR backs off the backfiring public support losing efforts and the media tries to figure out what to do to make up the ratings. Not looking at commie manifestos is wearing thin.

Plus the loony eco councils all got in years ago last time the Tories needed a slap, but constituents are now pretty fed up with idiotic initiatives that do nothing for the planet or local problems and pour millions in to cabinet members’ pockets.

The Limp and Green parties seem to be hoping to score nationally come the GE based on an imploding Conservative govt, Labour having no one any better and them being ten times worse but unknown and with possible full BBC support to rejoin the EU based on not reporting how things are screwed over there too on bonfires, energy, etc.

It was actually Channel 4 in 1983 – broadcasting for only a year and they were already producing crap like that.
The programme was called Minipops and was cancelled after one series because of the response of the public, who couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

With television’s apparent desire to pervert the young, another programme they could revive is sixties puppet show ‘Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.’
A bunch of multi-coloured agents working under the rainbow banner of Spectrum? They could smash the heteropatriarchy! And ‘Destiny Angel’ is clearly a drag queen name.
I can see it now – ‘Captain Scarlet and the Mis-Gendered Ones.’ It’s got “legs,” I tell you!

Certain groups of Asians have been working for years getting entrenched into all UK administrations, including health, government, civil service, local authorities, education, the legal professions, even the police etc. Once in position they can wield the racial card to cow other members into agreement or silence. It’s a gradual and very effective take-over leading to an eventual position of absolute power.

Note how few of them end up wielding a spade or driving a truck for instance.

So the NI Protocol can be changed….

‘Mr Varadkar said he would be “flexible and reasonable” when attempting to solve issues with the Northern Ireland protocol.

He admitted that “perhaps” the treaty was a “little bit too strict” and that the European Union was willing to make compromises.’

Maybe if Varadkar had been more reasonable, flexible and sensible to start with this could have gone a lot more smoothly…it was he after all who created the highly dangerous ‘Backstop’….called ‘dynamite’ by the Irish Times…..designed as it was to blackmail Britain by saying either accept the EU’s terms of no ‘hard border’ or we’ll unleash the IRA on you.

Odd how now we can change this ‘international treaty’…..the BBC et al screamed previously that Britain would be an international pariah, untrusted throughout the world if we didn’t accept the treaty as it was first agreed….the same BBC ironically that was quite happy to see suggestions that maybe the whole treaty could be torn up and Britain rejoin the EU. Funny that huh?

The BBC will tell you the ‘Great Reset’ is a hoax, a looney tunes Far-Right conspiracy theory…and yet they promote such a thing everyday, day in day out on the BBC…..after covid they began the big ‘Rethink’…not a ‘Reset’ you understand. This series of programmes was to tell you, not I might add to explore, but to tell you what you will need to do to ‘rethink’ your life and lifestyle post-covid to make the world a better place….it was trailed on R4 as ‘What you should do…’

‘Amol Rajan and an international panel of guests discuss how the coronavirus pandemic has created an opportunity to reshape our world.’

The BBC seems to have got a taste for lecturing us and has employed Rajan once again to inform us of how we can save the world…this time the Great Rethink, Reshape, Reset is specifically about climate change….naturally we’re all to blame…us in the West of course and we must pay for our sins…wearing hairshirts and with cash handouts to those sinking islands etc.

Today’s programme was unadulterated climate change propaganda…everyone there was totally onboard and were committed climate change activists. Absolutely no doubt that climate change is man-made…and no doubt that we must change our lifestyles….less of everything ….and we must not eat meat….nor fly.

Basically it’s back to the medieval times and no-one will leave their little valley. Odd how they love this because the same people would tell you Brexit would essentially do all that…life would be over….it would be a terrible disaster.

Tried to listen but had to switch off after twenty minutes….just arrogant, intolerant little climate fascists using climate to push their own fetishes like veganism and anti-capitalism….they just enjoy ordering people around. I’d give em a car park to look after and a yellow vest to keep em out of the way.

BBC having a splendid day today….Mishal Husain ‘interviewing’ someone from some committee about black people or something….I say interview but it was Husain feeding her questions designed to allow her to say what she wanted to say and of course the message that the BBC wanted to get out there.

Apparently the Windrush generation were heroic pioneers coming to save Britain and to rebuild it after the war…..no…no-one asked them to come….and they came purely to better their own lives…nowt to do with rebuilding Britain.

Not an interview…just two migrant colonisers looking to grab as much as they can for their own ‘people’.

Waiting for the discussion as to whether the Windrush Generation and others are ‘colonisers’ and whether they have improved, lol…rebuilt, Britain or on balance done more harm than good.

      What an amazing article.

I bet that for every far-right radicalised youngster like this, there are dozens radicalised by Muslims – hence why our security service are monitoring tens of thousands of them. Yet the BBC sift out this one for an absurdly lengthy article.

I suspect she was indeed used by our security services to try and draw other far-right people out without regard for her personal safety. Just like they tried to blackmail+coerce Tommy Robinson into becoming an undercover right-wing informer with threats to his family and sending him to prisons full of Muslims.

Then in other news we learn they covered up things like Muslim rape gangs so they didn’t appear to be racist.

THAT is the country the Left are creating.

The most extreme of racist double-standards.

.. and here we have another article about exactly the same topic by exactly the same people for a Panorama program from June 2020 !. But they don’t tell us that : they present it as a new story.

No wonder that article is so utterly lopsided with many awkward questions about this girl avoided. Every ‘Panorama’ is a disgrace to the principles of journalistic ethics : they look for anything to support the conclusion they want and omit everything else.

Considering these circumstances, I agree : it’s part of some bigger agenda the BBC are using licence-fee payers money to push on us.

    And why is that?

‘The British countryside’s “white and middle class” image puts off Asian visitors, a BBC presenter has claimed.

Nihal Arthanayake said that there is an illusion that rural areas are unwelcoming to ethnic minorities.

The broadcaster, author and presenter of BBC 4’s Winter Walks said that this image has impacted the number of non-white visitors to some of the UK’s most celebrated landscapes.

“I think it does have an impact because I’m often surprised by how few Asian families I see in the Peak District when the communities of Manchester and Sheffield are so close.

“But when you go out there, overwhelmingly you will find that people are just happy. Happy to be there and happy to see you.

“We live in one of the most tolerant countries on the planet, and whether I’m walking by myself or with the family, I’ve never felt anything other than welcome.’

Nihal….one of the most racist presenters the BBC has…continually, practically every day on his R2 show, telling us how nasty and racist ‘Britain’ [code for ‘White people’] is.

But now, apparently, we get the truth about Britain……er…those nasty, racist whites…

‘We live in one of the most tolerant countries on the planet’

Sooooo…just why do Asians feel they won’t get a welcome in the country? Could it be because people like Nihal and the BBC, Country File especially, keeps on telling them they’re not welcome and that Britain is a racist country that hates them. No question mark needed.

The BBC is the most divisive spreader of hate and racism in this country…does a better job than the BNP ever could have dreamed of doing.

The Earth is at its closest to the Sun on January 4th 2023. Its elliptical orbit means that the 93 million mile average distance often quoted is only an average, with ~ 2 million miles of variation possible. The gravitational pull of the Sun on our planet is presumably at its maximum around now, which might make things worse as regards any earthquake.

The Moon on the other hand is round the other side and will be Full on the 6th at ~ 11 pm. A New Moon on January 4th might increase the stress on the frame of the Earth, particularly in the special case of a solar eclipse. The latter actually happened in 1973 and 1992 (both annular eclipses, i.e. good alignment but Moon too small to cover the solar disc fully) and the track of the 1992 one even passed over California near sunset! But there was no quake, AFAIAA.
