Heaven for the Far Left BBC – a fired Conservative Chairman and minister . Inquiries into that ‘Tory’ minister and this ‘Tory ‘ minister . Spoilt for choice . And still no sign of the need for the BBC to br shown to be fair and neutral .

    World at one

The sainted Liverpool supporters – lessons from 1989 will be learned . There will be a ‘culture change ‘…. There will be a duty of candour …..
I mean – what crap people – a duty to self incriminate ? What planet ?
And culture change from 1989 ? Maybe amongst footy supporters . I’ve had some horrible experiences with Liverpool supporters which colours my view about sainthood – charging barriers to get in ….
Naturally the BBC is full on for ‘change ‘…. The reflex action . But hillsborough now ? Sad . So many dead . But 1989 …? Senior plod will always cover themselves and pass the blame downward – every organisation – except maybe aviation – will cover up ….. and shift blame … including the BBC

    Rant done

BTW – quote from Lady Brooke – “ on brexit – we ll be hearing a European perspective “ – look in the mirror – what’s new ?

It has been going on since before my neice started School , she has since moved house twice and has two children, that is quite long enough , we know there were some dreadful foul ups but no one deliberately set out to cause what happened ,even if the supporters on that day were totally innocent , there was still a whole culture of football Hooliganism below the surface , although it had passed its peak of the 70s it was still there.

Nobody ever seems to recall the Ibrox disaster, when the safety rails collapsed and everyone fell down the stairs, finishing up in a heap at the bottom!

I remember that horrible one at the same time as Hillsborough, as during the Liverpool game, we’d just moved house the day before, and the girls were sat watching the box to keep out of our bloody way…

Have grey squirrels replaced “the native red”?
It is true that grey squirrels are not native to this country (in the sense in which it is appropriate to talk of “native” on territory that was scraped clean by ice 10 000 years ago). They were introduced from American in the 19th century, at a time when it was fashionable to move animals between continents. Now there are between 2 and 3 million greys and between 150 and 200 thousand reds, which represents a substantial difference. So, on the face of it, it seems to be an open and shut case: the greys replaced the reds.

The reality, however, is not as straightforward as that. To properly unravel the accusation, we have to consider the actual history of red squirrels in Great Britain.

During WW2 the British troops hated the BBC….it all too often gave away information about their battleplans allowing the Germans to counter them.

The same during the Iraq War….when the Americans were preparing to attack Fallujah the BBC was busily reporting on our troop movements and locations that would support the Americans….this was during a politically sensitive time back home….a big strike on British troops would have no doubt swayed the election against Tony Blair…then the BBC’s chief hate figure….is it too cynical to suggest the BBC were trying to encourage the Iraqis to attack British troops in order to damage Blair?

This morning I heard a BBC correspondent in Ukraine telling us that the Ukrainians wanted to keep their intentions concerning a new offensive secret for obvious reasons….he then went on to tell us how Ukraine was withdrawing its best troops from one location and thus we could infer that they were preparing a new offensive soon.

So…one, the Russians now know that location has lost its best troops and is weaker, and two, that troops are massing elsewhere for a new offensive soon.

    Cheers BBC.

    LOL….the Telegraph reports….

‘Vladimir Putin might never have invaded Ukraine if Britain had not voted for Brexit, Guy Verhofstadt has said.’

Apparently the disunity and rancour distracted us all and allowed Putin to slip iinto Ukraine….5 years after Brexit…and never mind Crimea in 2014.

And you have to ask who was one of the main instigators of rancour, division and disunity as he worked so hard to smash Brexit instead of working to provide a smooth exit? Oh yeah…that’d be one Guy Verhofstadt…..given plenty of airtime to spout his disruptive rubbish by the BBC of course during negotiations.

Thus the invasion of Ukraine is completely Verhofstadt’s fault…blood on his hands.

The BBC doesn’t seem to have caught up with this new angle on Brexit….pretty sure it will be a question slipped into the Today stream of nonsense about Brexit tomorrow.

Has the media ever mentioned …. Guy Verhofstadt’s book ….. For Europe …..

Europe is in crisis. How did we get here? What didn’t work? Faced with such an emergency, are the euro zone states not creating an undemocratic monster? Is euroscepticism not reactionary? Could a federation of 27 actually work? This book is a call. A wake up call directed to every citizen. It is an exercise in lucidity that encourages reflection. And it is also an alarm bell. The tone is frank, passionate. The arguments hard hitting: “Europe must once and for all get rid of the navel gazing of its nation-states. A radical revolution is needed. A large European revolution. And a European federal Union must emerge. A Union that enables Europe to participate in the postnational world of tomorrow. By laziness, cowardice and lack of vision, too many of our Heads of State and Government prefer not to see what is at stake. Let’s wake them up. Let’s confront them with their impotence. And give them no respite until they have taken the European way, the way to a Europe of the future, towards a Europe for Europeans. The era of empty summits and statements is over. Now is the time for action.”

    Guido suggests, rightly, that…

‘Naturally the projections from the IMF are being treated as if God personally inscribed them on a stone tablet and handed them down from on high. ‘

And on cue here’s the BBC’s Faisal Islam defending his and the BBC’s coverage of the IMF’s predictions…..he must realise most people are sceptical of the claims as Britain is classed a basket case way, way below Nigeria, Kazakstan and even Russia, and thus has rushed to hype the IMF….

‘How much should we care what the IMF thinks?’

Apparently quite a lot….the BBC of course making it headline news….despite the IMF’s very dodgy track record when forecasting growth.

I don’t go along with removing statues as a rule, but if there’s one that should be destroyed, then that’s it.

The sculptor, Eric Gill, was so sick he gave other paedo’s a bad name.

Not content with merely raping his two daughters, he also raped the family dog…I mean, just how sick can a man be?

Actually, thinking about it, keep the statue where it is.

It says, far more than mere words, just what the BBC stand for…

At the end of the item Peter Levy read out an email from a schoolchild saying how they fully supported the teachers, not just in support of their pay but also as it supports the children’s future. I just wonder how the BBC staff knew it was actually from a pupil and not their parent, or even a union rep purporting to be a child. Maybe they have Unit 77 (or whatever they call them). But of course if it fits the Left and the BBC’s agenda.
