The UK chose to join the invasion of Iraq before all peaceful options for disarmament had been exhausted. Military action at that time was not a last resort

Military action might have been necessary later, but in March 2003, it said, there was no imminent threat from the then Iraq leader Saddam Hussein, the strategy of containment could have been adapted and continued for some time and the majority of the Security Council supported continuing UN inspections and monitoring

On 28 July 2002, the then Prime Minister Tony Blair assured US President George W Bush he would be with him “whatever”. But in the letter, he pointed out that a US coalition for military action would need: Progress on the Middle East peace process, UN authority and a shift in public opinion in the UK, Europe, and among Arab leaders

As I said long ago : if Charlie boy meddles in politics – as he is doing – somebody will use it to destroy the Royal family.

Now I’m no fan of those freeloaders and the thousands they support – but we have to have a politically neutral head of state to have the final say because if we don’t, we will end up as the sh1t-show the USA has become and some power-hungry dictator like Blair (because that is basically what he became) will get themselves into that job via the likes of the BBC.

Watch for their drip-drip-drip agenda to gradually turn the people against him. A Royal family has no place in their ultimate goal of a socialist state.

UK was invade by Romans – we demand gold from the vatican.
UK was invade by the Danes (Sandi Toksvig) so we demand payments.

… how far back do we go?

      ………………

IT IS always a temptation to an armed and agile nation
To call upon a neighbour and to say: ā€“
“We invaded you last night ā€“ we are quite prepared to fight,
Unless you pay us cash to go away.”

And that is called asking for Dane-geld,
And the people who ask it explain
That you’ve only to pay ’em the Dane-geld
And then you’ll get rid of the Dane!

It is always a temptation for a rich and lazy nation,
To puff and look important and to say: ā€“
“Though we know we should defeat you, we have not the time to meet you.
We will therefore pay you cash to go away.”

      And that is called paying the Dane-geld;
But we’ve proved it again and again,
That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld
You never get rid of the Dane.

It is wrong to put temptation in the path of any nation,
      For fear they should succumb and go astray;
So when you are requested to pay up or be molested,
You will find it better policy to say: —

      “We never pay any-one Dane-geld,
      No matter how trifling the cost;
For the end of that game is oppression and shame,
And the nation that plays it is lost!”

‘Australia’s PM first to march at gay rights parade’
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-64771714

I kid you not : with everything going on in the world today, the BBC consider this story to be front-page, world news.

‘This year’s event coincides in Sydney with WorldPride, which promotes LGBTQ+ rights globally.’

There are so many LGBTQWERTYUIOP++ evenets these days, they are even overlapping. As I’m sure ‘Black’ celebrations do.

According to the BBC you should be proud to be gay or black and you should be ashamed to be a white man.

Why Russia’s invasion of Ukraine still divides Africa
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-64759845

I read this article to see if it gave the reason that some countries do actually think Ukraine is a proxy war between the USA/NATO and Russia which started because they poked Russia a bit too hard by intending to bring Ukraine into NATO and the EU.

Nope. The only reason given was the usual : because of ‘white-minority rule and colonialism’.

All other reasons are hidden behind the line:

‘But the colonial past doesn’t entirely explain the current relationship, at least for some countries.’

‘Each would have their own reasons for whichever way they voted.’

    A deep analysis indeed BBC.

In the past the BBC sent its journalists to the front to tell us what was happening at the front. Today BBC journalists prefer to report from the safety of the homes of women and children. The BBC gives us the impression that the Russians are only interested in bombing maternity hospitals, while at home on the Neil Oliver Show we had a report about a massive increase in miscarriages caused by the Pfizer mRNA jab. Some how I think the Russians are on the verge of victory, because the Western elite are fighting against their own people, trying to give Britain ā€œNet Zero Defenceā€ ā€œNet Zero Foodā€ ā€œNet Zero Babiesā€ ā€œNet Zero Fuelā€ ā€œNet Zero Moneyā€ and ā€œNet Zero Freedomā€, but lots of care & money for accommodating invaders, crossing the channel from that awful undemocratic shithole, called the European Union.

The BBC staff are now all activists. They don’t want to report the news, they want to sway the reader to their own agenda using empathy and emotion. Hence they are only interested in babies being pulled from rubble and old people refusing to leave their homes. They just want victims.

Meanwhile a very brutal war is being fought and brave men are dying in their hundreds every day. But there’s no virtue signalling to show their own emotional superiority in that so they simply don’t care.

They are doing this for everything now : illegal immigrants, rape gangs, anything right-wing and anything white-males do to non-white-males.

They are walking Western society into extinction while they try to walk it into their ideological fascist Leftist ‘eutopia’ (where the political Right is permanently cancelled).

      Comment by Danni, South Africa
Each person is entitled to their own religion, belief or culture, but when that same thinking such as witchcraft in South Africa, encourages people to rape three-month-old babies to ā€˜cureā€™ them of HIV, people should rethink their views.

      Has voodoo been misjudged? {bbc.co.uk aug2017}
While many African traditions and cultures are under threat from modern life, there is one which is holding its own ā€“ voodoo. It has suffered from a bad press internationally but is an official religion in the West African country of Benin. ā€¦ The Regional High Priest (special person, no complaints allowed, special privilege) of Voodoo Daagbo Hounon is presiding over the dayā€™s rituals. ā€¦ With the government supporting it at home and the descendants of slaves embracing it abroad (Government backing suggests it will not survive on itā€™s own merits?), the ancient voodoo tradition has found a place in the modern world, where other African belief systems are often struggling for relevance.

ā€“ Let me comment on this for the BBC, anything that gives a supernatural power over the rational is evil. It will mean that the Priest has a power that no one else can counter or complain about.

Cast your mind back into the BBC past, 12 years ago, and how the BBC used to report things ā€¦

      Is witchcraft alive in Africa? {bbc.co.uk jul2005}
Does witchcraft have a place in modern society? BBC Africa Live wants to know if it is relevant to you.
In Africa, witchcraft has played a role in rebellions, fighting wars, gaining independence and is often seen at election time.

Some people also consult witchdoctors to cure diseases or find a husband.

However, the practise has negative sides ā€“ mutilated bodies are often found in Africa, with their organs removed presumably for use in magic charms. And recently in the UK, three people were jailed over the torture of an eight-year-old Angolan girl they accused of being a possessed witch.

      Comment by Kingsley Obika, Nigeria
Two days ago in my neighbourhood. A girl of five was accused of killing her mother through witchcraft. She was tortured (tied upside down a tree) for hours to confess. What surprised me is the fact this girl had not heard of the word witchcraft and here she was being asked to make a so-called confession. In my opinion, those behind this child abuse should be brought to face the wrath of the law.

Comment by Guy, Johannesburg, South Africa
Is witchcraft alive in Africa begs for the answer: Is the Pope a Catholic? We are mourning the death of our four-year-oldā€™s beloved pre-school teacher who suddenly died, apparently after taking some ā€˜mutiā€™ (medication) dispensed to her by some ā€˜visitorsā€™ from her rural home.

Comment by Ahmed Kateregga Musaazi, Uganda
l donā€™t believe in witchcraft but I know that it exists. My religion, Islam, like Christianity, regards witchcraft as satanic. Witchcraft has partly survived in Africa due to the failure of Islam and Christianity to liberate their followers from poverty, ignorance and disease.
The solution is for the two beliefs to recognise African customs which are not in contradiction with Islam and Christianity and to strengthen the penal code to deal harshly with witchcraft.

      Comment by Danni, South Africa
Each person is entitled to their own religion, belief or culture, but when that same thinking such as witchcraft in South Africa, encourages people to rape three-month-old babies to ā€˜cureā€™ them of HIV, people should rethink their views.

ā€“ I have intentionally ignored any positive comments supporting Witchcraft, I learnt that from the Ā£3.5bn BBC News Machine and how Gary ā€˜Ā£1.75mā€™ Lineker ignores talking to someone who voted Brexit within the BBC or outside the BBC.

Now the Racist BBC is refering to the Kiwis in the cricket Test Match as Black Caps. Is that allowed under ‘racism rules’?

No, the Kiwi is not extinct. The giant Ostrich-like Moa went extinct long before the white man came perhaps you are thinking of that.
The NZ Rugby League team are called the Kiwis.

The name Black Caps for the NZ cricket team is a clear case of cultural appropriation. The little Black Cap bird that inhabits the leafy lanes of Britain is not found in NZ. Take them to court!

BBC bans fans of The Archers from posting on the radio show’s Facebook page after audiences criticise its ‘woke’ storylines

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11792973/BBC-bans-fans-Archers-posting-radio-shows-Facebook-page.html?ito=native_share_article-nativemenubutton

The Corporation, which launched the rural radio soap in 1951, told the 92,000 Facebook users ā€˜regular posting to this page is being pausedā€™.
Diehard fans say the move is an attempt to silence critics who believe the Radio 4 show, set in the fictitious village of Ambridge, is focusing too much on politically correct issues such as climate change.

Prior to the ban, several fans had used the official page to vent their fury about recent plotlines.

While many accept that the show should reflect the realities of modern life, they also describe writersā€™ attempts to crowbar issues into storylines as clumsy and boring.

listener wrote: ā€˜I have to say The Archers is just becoming a clichĆ©. Itā€™s script writing by numbers.

ā€˜It used to have big storylines, everyday storylines, and a sense of humour. Now it just seems a box-ticking exercise of all the trendy issues of the day. Sad.ā€™

Another added that ā€˜the current storylines donā€™t match the first, say five decadesā€™.

In one episode, former eco warrior Kirsty Miller, played by Annabelle Dowler, made the case for an electric vehicle charging station proposed for a plot of land being sold by David and Ruth Archer.

In another episode, Kate Madikane, played by Perdita Avery, outlined plans to make her familyā€™s Home Farm business more sustainable, saying: ā€˜Itā€™s not something that I am planning to announce to dad just yet, but I am really excited about Home Farm and the road to net zero.ā€™

A BBC spokesperson said: ā€˜We have limited resources… Pausing the Facebook group is in no way a response to any criticism.ā€™

    Funny papers edition

We’re sadly accustomed to the Telegraph’s ace cartoonist Matt being reported as away, too often for our liking. Now it seems their proof reading editor has gone awol

At the close of a week when woke editorship, or what the Observer’s assiduosly politically correct – and only vaguely amusing cartoonist – their rather appropriately named Newman would term ‘sensitivity readers’ have been all the rage in the media; now our formerly respected and literate in the English language Telegraph today drops a clanger: Creator of the ‘pegan diet’ reveals why it is never to late to transform your health

That should read: …never TOO late TO… adverb and preposition

Now Mr AsI is no stranger to the odd typo and as for a mild case of dyslexia… frankly, he’s just a bit poor at spelling, has no editor and is in somewhat of a hurry of a morning. He’s certainly no adherent of the modern jargon about being on the spectrum – more so, James Bond’s adversary Spectre, or perhaps Capatin Scarlet’s home team Spectrum?

Speaking of editorship and Bond, James Bond: James Bond books edited to remove racist references (Telegraph)

Hmmm…. the Ian Flemming ouvre edited and reimagined for 2023?

On Their Majesty’s Secret Service – obviously His Majesty won’t do… a tad too patriarchal
From Ukraine With Love or perhaps mindful of western leathal weaponry… To Ukraine With Love

You see how those two things work, Telegraph editor?

The Person With A Golden Gun
Quantum of Solice – still don’t know what that means?
Octopussy – don’t even go there.

Go on, have a go. You know you want to.

And cartoonists are very much in the news: Dilbert comic strip dropped by US media over creator’s racist tirade (BBC) – apparently he advocated white flight: “I would say, based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to white people is to get the hell away from black peopleā€¦ because there is no fixing this,” he said. – this in response a survey result: …the poll, 53% of black respondents agreed with the statement, but 26% disagreed and others were not sure (BBC) – the vexed question being: “It’s OK to be white.”

Ironically enough: Dilbert has been a mainstay of the funny pages of America’s newspapers, and features a put-upon office worker and a talking dog, who together take aim at the fads of corporate culture (BBC)

Ah, our corporations, going all woke and lefty: Sainsbury returns as top Labour donor with Ā£2m gift (Observer) – there’s some fluff from Lord Sainsbury about: “reunite the country around an agenda of economic growth and social justice” – but the mega grocer can rely on a bogoff with Labour of lots more low skill cheap foreign labour to stack the shelves and an ever rising hungry population at the self-service checkouts.

It tends to be the Daily Star of all our national papers which most heavily features mysterious communication with ghostly apparitions of dead celebrities, however, it is the Observer which today purports to tell us: Roald Dahl. What he really thought censorship of his books

Hereabouts, Mr AsI perfers the funny sketches of the Telegraph’s Matt. Today he has a couple of civil servants at the Treasury with one remarking: “Jeremy Hunt has asked a sensitivity reader to remove ‘Tax Cuts’ from all Treasury documents”

Far be it from me to aspire to edit Mr Matt but the gag might have worked better with an official at CCHQ remarking how Rishi Sunak had requested all references to both Brexit and Tax Cuts be removed retrospectively from the document that was the former Tory election manifesto

Just about sums it up for the Socialist Welsh Government. My takeaway?
A collective Socialist and unusual well planned scam.

    A rude awakening/reality check:

Try the oblique question. I.e., a casual, to self-employed tradesmen: “how will you get around to do your job after 2010?” or to a worker travelling 9 miles to their workplace: “how will you get to work and back after 2010 when your car will be banned? I suppose you’ll will have to use the bus”. The momentary silence and puzzled expressions when the implications of the questions are digested before any response is made? A picture tells a thousand words.

    Sheeple, wake up.

Remarkable how supportive, anodyne and completely uninterested the BBC are in a Muslim cricketer’s racism…unlike of course the BBC’s enthusiastic pillorying of White players, clubs and Britain.

The BBC were quick to claim he was innocent and proven so by an investigation…no attempt to critique that investigation as they would with a ‘Whitey’ and remarkably no examination of what he did other than a bland, sweeping statement that he wasn’t racist or anti-Semitic…no revelations that would allow us to judge for ourselves….

‘The new chairman of a top cricket club endorsed comments that the ā€œZionist lobbyā€ has ā€œoversizedā€ control of the media and a string of other inflammatory social media posts, the JC can reveal.

Azeem Akhtar, the former board member of Sport England who was announced as chair of first-class Essex County Cricket Club on Monday, also ā€œlikedā€ on Twitter a defence of comparisons between Israel and Nazi Germany, and another post that celebrated athletes boycotting the Jewish state. ‘

Rather than condemn Akhtar, question the investigation’s findings and do a long, indepth examination of the story the BBC sweeps it rapidly under the carpet…nothing to see here. No race-baiting academics, no race-industry grifters, no Jews allowed to comment….can you imagine any BBC story about racism towards Blacks missing any of that comment?…there’d be pages and pages of it….not here though.

‘The Cricketer’ does a better job than the mighty BBC…

‘”Essex have been criticised by an anti-Semitism charity for their handling of the investigation into former chair Azeem Akhtar’s social media activity.

The findings of this investigation are not only a spectacular failure of the Essex county cricket club, but to portray Mr Akhtar’s endorsement of these tweets as merely being ‘supportive of the Islamic faith’ is insulting to both Jews and Muslims.’

Of the twenty cities throughout the world with the worst air quality, 16 of them are located in China.28 Jan 2023

Pippa Bartolotti: ‘Yes I drive a Jaguar ā€“ but why should that stop me leading the Green Party?’
The party’s first-ever MP has quit as leader, so who’s in the running to take over? Michael McCarthy reports

      Michael McCarthy
      Monday 20 August 2012 09:47

It may seem unlikely, but a businesswoman who drives a Jaguar is one of the four candidates to succeed Caroline Lucas MP as leader of the Green Party.

Pippa Bartolotti accepts that driving the car which made John Prescott politically notorious (in his case, as “Two Jags”) is likely to be a handicap in her ambitions to lead the low-carbon, public-transport-orientated Greens via their forthcoming internal election, but is unrepentant.

I wonder if it was a immigrant car driver…

‘The former BBC Breakfast presenter said he “can’t imagine” what the driver was now going through, adding: “If you’re reading this, I’m going to be OK.” ‘

Had a visitor from Switzerland stay for a few days. Her last short visit was in 2011.

First observation on the drive home from Luton airport. The rubbish strewn along the banks saying it was something that was never seen in Switzerland. She was right – we have become so immune to it, but seeing it through other eyes it was a sh….tshow. Yes we know that the Swiss are REALLY into recycling and their ‘psyche’ is different, but even kids in school are programmed to be more aware of their surroundings and its a given that they are taught by their parents not to throw litter in the streets.

Watching tv she commented on the number of black people in presenting roles and reading the news. In Switzerland its barely an occurrence. However, she did say that school classes have experienced a huge influx of migrants — but from Ukraine, which reading between the lines was a source of contention.

She is an ICU nurse, and said the Swiss healthcare systems wasn’t without its problems. Overworked staff, but her ire was mostly aimed at younger staff who didn’t want to put the hours in like the older ones. It seems that ‘hoists’ to lift obese people haven’t reached the hospital she works in, as she suffers with back problems due to having to lift or turn massively overweight patients . But, talking in length (and having seen first hand) the Swiss can knock us into a cocked hat when it comes to cleanliness in hospitals – by comparison we are definitely 3rd world

Brissles old thing – it is a third world country . The only first world thing is the water supply – excluding sewage in the rivers of course.
Does anyone think Blighty will improve ? To me – for the rest of my life – however long – it will be in decline – costs of public services will go up but services for ordinary taxpayers will become more limited .
It wonā€™t be Britain anymore – I think the balance is already shifting – courtesy of the likes of the evil BBC ā€¦.

The UK will be unable to prevent double digit inflation thanks to a weak and cowardly MPC and BoE governor incapable of delivering the double digit interest rates necessary to contain inflation.

The reason for the prolonged inflationary period is the relentless money printing to fund a never ending Ukraine / Russia war.

Consider that in 1970 Gold was less than Ā£15 an ounce, and in 1980 just a decade later it was Ā£340 an ounce.

I’m not sure if the gold was worth any more over that time, but Harold Wilson certainly destroyed the UK economy and caused enormous amounts of inflation all with pretty much nothing to show for it by the end.

If that happens again any savings you might have prudently put by for a rainy day are going to be wiped out. Imagine that inflation in the 1970s was measured differently, and today it would be over 13.4% for the RPI meaning base rate should be at 15% to beat inflation not the paltry 4.0% we currently have.

I worked in Luton until about eighteen months ago. One of the things that distinguished (that seems like the wrong word to use) the place was the mattresses dumped in the streets.
A local told me she thought it was all the rootless foreign blokes living a dozen or more to a house. When one moved on, she assumed the others just chucked his mattress out.
I see them where I live now. The march of the mattresses, watch out!

So basically Scott Adams is taking the micky massively
The 26% of black people were being racist by saying they won’t live with white people.
Scott makes a statement saying he won’t live with black people
and the libmob just take at straight face value and CANCEL him
.. yet give the 26% of blacks in the survey a free pass to be racist

Lots of migrants drowned trying to get to Europe. I wonder how many would be still alive in their own Country if they had not been persuaded by the hordes of do-gooders and lefty lawyers in this country that a fully all expenses paid luxury hotel life with no work involved awaits them in this land of free milk and honey and cash?
