    Unlikely to be mentioned by the BBC.
    The main reasons Birmingham City Council has gone bust are

    1. A ridiculous ruling that women deserved equal pay over decades despite doing different work
    2. There has been a systematic shift of public money for year after year towards the sacred saintly black hole that is the NHS and away from every other public service. Do your local roads have lots of potholes which even third world countries would find embarrassing?

    I very much doubt reason 2 will get any air time at all. Especially on the BBC.
    It does however have the advantage of being absolutely true.

    Not sure why the BBC have put ‘hit’ in apostrophes to imply it might not have been. It most certainly has.

    Just to make sure we know (and as if it’s the most important thing) they tell us twice that the crew all survived.

    Considering how many hundreds are being slaughtered each day, I suspect the loss of such a tank is of far, far greater importance than 4 men getting out.

    ‘BBC Verify has not confirmed precisely where or when the incident took place.’

    So what ?. They seem determined to try to make us all think that all stories are not valid until ‘BBC verify’ have confirmed them. Anything from the BBC is near the bottom of my list of sources which I trust.

    BBC South Today repeating main news regarding sewerage spilling into local chalk streams. Gentleman interviewed and referred to as a retired business man and now a “citizen scientist”. Wonder what the BBC would say to anyone referring to themselves as a “citizen journalist”. Probably call in Marijuanna Spring.

      Thoughtful, I heard that on TWatO. I wonder why Andy Street’s name wasn’t mentioned. BBC missing an open goal? Maybe the BBC are losing their touch?

      If Wiltshire Council is anything to go by – the executives will have been frenetically packing their platinum parachutes for a soft landing too.

      What’s not being covered in detail is : is the shortfall is as a consequence of going well beyond common sense wrt to job comparisons for equal wages – and how the policy was applied – cynically I wonder if higher grades had disproportionately extra lolly allotted.

        Blindingly obvious for those of us who look outside of the mainstream media that the EU is falling apart and in a worse state than the UK and that it is not being reported.

        Those who wish to rejoin should be asked to sign up an limitless and non revokable lien over their incomes pensions and property to pay for what they wish for should they get it. I don’t think there would be very many wanting it if they thought it couldn’t be achieved without raping the free money tree.
