I noticed a few years ago women interviewers (or are they presenters) for F1 racing. They would leap up to the drivers and ask them, ‘how did you feel (when you won, or went round a corner or whatever’. I think it was Eddie Jordan who was also a presenter, and he would ask much more technical questions.

      …..
      Dear Winston Smith,

I noticed that Jon Sopel is talking about impartial and unbiased reporting but his twitter account has three references to his book whilst using the BBC brand. Could the BBC please explain what is happening?

      1) Is BBC Jon Sopel supposed to tell us about the news or his new book?

      2) BBC Jon Sopel’s twitter feed has the BBC name in it and says “Jon Sopel, BBC North America Editor. My book If Only They Didn’t Speak English is out now.” which references his book and not the fact he is an unbiased and impartial reporter.

      3) BBC Jon Sopel’s twitter’s pinned tweet is from 23May2018 and is about .. himself and his book.

      4) Is BBC Jon Sopel’s book 100% BBC approved thought and unbiased and partial?

      5) Shouldn’t BBC Jon Sopel’s twitter be about the latest news and not himself?

      6) When Jon Sopel sells a book does it go to help pay for the BBC TV Tax – to reduce it? As the BBC are promoting it – thus it is promoted by the BBC TV Tax Payer.

“Impartiality lies at the heart of public service and is the core of the BBC’s commitment to its audiences. It applies to all our output and services – television, radio, online, and in our international services and commercial magazines. We must be inclusive, considering the broad perspective and ensuring the existence of a range of views is appropriately reflected”

Why is the BBC splashing out your licence fee on 22 weather forecasters when the segments last just two minutes long on average

It may be Britain’s favourite topic – but does the BBC really need 22 national forecasters to tell us about the weather?

The astonishing number of presenters are appearing across the corporation’s television and radio output, anchoring forecasts which are, on average, just two minutes long

Twenty-two forecasters are presenting the weather on the BBC’s main TV and radio channels, while a further 23 can be seen on its regional programmes.

Viewers and corporation staff are questioning why – at a time when the licence fee is increasingly unpopular – there seems to be a different weather presenter for each bulletin.

One Twitter user said: ‘Why does the BBC have so many weather presenters? We have the national, regional, and then superfluous ones on in the evening.’

Last night, the BBC was criticised by pressure group TaxPayers’ Alliance, which is fighting to stop taxpayers being forced financially to support the BBC.

Spokesman Joe Ventre told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Taxpayers have had enough of funding bloated broadcasting.

‘Under the licence-fee system, the BBC forces households to cover the costs of an enormous payroll. The Beeb should do Brits a favour by waving goodbye to the TV tax and taking full responsibility for its own finances.’

Among the BBC’s most high- profile forecasters is Tomasz Schafernaker, 44, who was voted the UK’s most popular weather presenter in a public poll.

The Polish host joined the BBC Weather Centre in 2000 as a broadcast assistant and became the youngest man to present the broadcaster’s regional forecasts at the age of just 22.

Mr Schafernaker, who trained at the Met Office college in Exeter, Devon, is best known for raising ‘the finger’ at former BBC news presenter Simon McCoy when he thought he was off screen.

Then there is Carol Kirkwood – one of the main weather presenters on Breakfast, who also appears regularly across the corporation’s other outlets.

She rejoined the BBC in 1998 and has since presented across all of its weather bulletins.

Deepfaked: ‘They put my face on a porn video’
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-62821117

This is a proper BBC agenda topic because it basically lines all men up for a turkey shoot.

But my attention was grabbed by a real gem of a BBC film called:

‘Deepfake porn : could you be next ?’
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001c1mt/deepfake-porn-could-you-be-next#xtor=CS8-1000-%5BEditorialPromo_Box%5D-%5BNewsEditorial_Promo%5D-%5BNewsEditorial_Promo%5D-%5BPS_IPLAYER~N~m001c1mt~P_ThreeDeepFake%5D

So a few womens faces have been used in these videos from a worldwide population of about 4 billion and the BBC are trying to scare you into thinking you could easily be next.

The video is absolute classic low-grade, low-IQ misandrist scaremongering which even puts Panorama to shame. They are using every cheap trick in the book.

But the big cherry on the top of this cake is the BBC presenter who made it. Watch the video and go to 7:40 to see who the BBC have making their content. And she is by no means unusual these days

It is hard to believe just how far the BBC has fallen.

I’m going to post this again for reasons that the media have been painting Vladmir Putin as the bad guy and us as the good guys when it’s the other way around.

Also because with crime spiralling out of control and a Tory party which doesn’t appear to ever have been in control it’s about what the rainbow painters we used to know as the ‘Police’ have been getting up to.

2018 400 people arrested in Russia for things they have posted on Social media. 3300 people arrested in Britain for things they have posted on Social Media and that doesn’t include all the visits by uniformed thugs which didn’t result in arrest – I know I’m one of them.

So watch it and weep, and realise we’re the bad guys.

WOW!!! Trudeau Sets World Record In Avoiding Questions!!!

      ….

I believe, in my opinion, that we have looked for greatness in the mundane. Trying to make everyone winners, means we all lose. Irony in the most profound sense.

Lets take a quick look at who is empowered in the world … this list is not exhaustive, but gives you a good indication of what the World’s political landscape looks like …

Canada Justin Trudeau sets World Record In avoiding questions – 18 Times – wastes everyone’s time in Parliament

We were able to be all these things and do all these things because we were informed. By great men.

Mugabe (President of Zimbabwe since 1987) farts at summit (has also been found sleeping in Parliament, he was 89 years at the time, still holding onto power at 93)

Krystyna Pawlowicz, a Polish MP from the ruling Eurosceptic PiS party, has written a letter to Jean-Claude Juncker (President of the European Commission), accusing him of “alcohol dependency” … Juncker apparently took a nap in the Vatican during the celebration of the EU’s 60th anniversary

Diane Abbott (Shadow Home Secretary – UK Security) not read a major report (Harris Report) on London Attacks. Won her seat with 75% in GE2017.

Now go and read or watch some of these people …

Douglas Murray, Thomas Sowell, Andrew Breitbart, Carl Sagan, Thomas Paine, Christopher Hitchens, George Orwell, Mark Steyn, Trey Gowdy.

The Ministry of Defence is offering armed soldiers to support London police after dozens of Met officers handed in their weapons.

More than 100 police officers turned in permits allowing them to carry firearms, a source told the BBC.

The Met Police said the action was being taken after an officer was charged with the murder of unarmed Chris Kaba, 24.

He died after being shot in south London last year.

A Met Police officer appeared in court on Thursday.

In a statement, the Met said some officers were “worried” about how the charging decision “impacts on them”.

The MoD said it received a request – known as Military Aid to the Civil Authorities (MACA) – from the Home Office to “provide routine counter-terrorism contingency support to the Metropolitan Police, should it be needed”.

2021 … This progress is now coming under threat from an unlikely source. When President Zelenskyy won election in 2019, he did so as a political outsider and as a self-styled member of the post-independence generation of young Ukrainians. His campaign was notable for its social media innovation, while his professional background in show business and political satire led many to believe he understood the significance of free speech and valued media freedoms.

At the halfway point in Zelenskyy’s presidential term, he now stands accused of repeating the tactics used by many of his authoritarian neighbors elsewhere in the post-Soviet region to muzzle the media and silence the opposition.

Bribes and hiding at home: the Ukrainian men trying to avoid conscription
This article is more than 1 month old
Some are spending life savings to stay out of the war, but such actions are seen as treasonous by those already fighting

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/aug/15/bribes-and-hiding-at-home-the-ukrainian-men-trying-to-avoid-conscription

At the last military checkpoint before he exited Ukraine in April, a 39-year-old man from Odesa handed over papers showing he had a serious spinal injury, thus exempting him from military service and from the ban on adult men leaving the country.

“One of the soldiers said, ‘That hospital really likes this diagnosis, huh?’” recalled the man. “I could see they knew exactly what was going on, and it wasn’t the first time. But they were powerless to do anything, so waved me through,” he said.

The man, who asked for anonymity to discuss the matter, admitted that he had paid a $5,000 bribe to escape a potential draft into the Ukrainian army and service on the front lines in the war with Russia.

Marjorie from Pembrokeshire had gone through the whole pandemic without catching the virus – until this month.

“I thought I had natural immunity,” she says.

“But I caught it from my granddaughter who had the same symptoms as mine.”

In her case, that meant a headache, muscle pain and a loss of smell and taste.

“I just didn’t realise I would feel so weak and lethargic,” she adds.

How many people – like Marjorie – are catching Covid this autumn is impossible to know for sure.

But perhaps it is starting to become part of the background to our everyday lives.

The UK is facing a dilemma: should it fight the rising imports of Chinese electric cars with big new tariffs, in the same way the EU has threatened to do this week? Or should it allow them to continue? Keeping open to the imports in would make it easier for the UK to hit its goal of no new petrol and diesel cars by 2030, and it would make electric cars cheaper. But the UK car industry could be damaged.

‘More than anything else, these years just past have been about keeping us apart… driving division. Everywhere people meet was closed. People were frightened into their homes. Now the online world they chased us into turns out to be something else they feel they need to shut down. They didn’t see that one coming, those stupid, clever people.’

    WE ARE SO FUCKED ….

The net result of all this, fear some in the car industry, is a system where existing UK manufacturers, including of hybrid cars, will pay thousands of pounds to subsidise electric imports.

Essentially, UK factories, which face competition from Chinese electric imports, could have to subsidise them.

I gather from BBC Sport that Lady Golfers have retained the Solheim Cup in a draw with the USA. Well done ladies! That is three in a row. Three cheers!!! It is a shame (and highly unusual?) that you get bumped out of top spot on the BBC Sport Home Page by Mens Rugby.
