I wonder how the BBC inquiry into a former employee called Russel Brand is going ? Will it be fully published ? Or the usual commercial secrecy / data protection stuff be used to prevent those still paying for the BBC from knowing the truth ?

Up to 50% more rain had fallen as a result of human-caused greenhouse-gas emissions, climate scientists at the World Weather Attribution group found.

The land can no longer absorb rainfall if it is built over; instead, water runs off impermeable surfaces into drains which can become overwhelmed, and into rivers, increasing the flood risk in multiple areas.22 Aug 2018

    …………………….

One factor that has contributed to the rise in flooding is the increase in impermeable surfaces with rapid urbanisation. Higher impermeable cover leads to increased surface runoff, a driver of flooding. More and more houses being built will only increase the percentage of impermeable cover, which will continue to exacerbate the issue. The land can no longer absorb rainfall if it is built over; instead, water runs off impermeable surfaces into drains which can become overwhelmed, and into rivers, increasing the flood risk in multiple areas. It is unlikely that old drainage systems will be able to cope with the increased burden, and thus sewer and surface water flooding will be more prevalent.

Floodplains continue to be built on despite understanding the associated risks, a trend that is set to continue. Floodplains are viewed as attractive by developers due to their flat topography, but the nature of them, and their natural function, means any homes are very likely to be hit by flooding in their lifetime.

43 years ago this begathon begun, which means the kids helped then are now in middle age – and I was not long married. Interesting to see MM which projects are benefitting, but after these 4 decades its hard to not think that every children’s organisation has been well served with cash and what more do they need on a yearly basis.

We always hear that kids charities want more, but it’s never in the media what CinN have done long term, apart from a few vignettes during the actual show.

    Housing

Liberal Democrats know that a good home is an absolute necessity for people’s wellbeing and the base on which they build their lives. So we will ensure that everyone can have access to housing that meets their needs.

Yet, in Britain today, many people cannot afford to buy or rent a home of good quality where they live.

Government housing targets are regularly missed and the shortage of affordable and social housing is at crisis point. Newly built homes are often energy-inefficient, many leaseholders are still facing large bills because of the building safety scandal and homelessness remains shamefully high. Local authorities’ powers to build the kind of homes needed in their areas are inadequate.

Liberal Democrats are committed to tackling these housing failures head-on by:

Building at least 150,000 new council and social homes a year, giving local authorities the powers to end the right to buy in their areas, and requiring them to have a landlord licensing scheme.
Allowing councils to buy land for housing developments based on current use rather than on a “hope value” based on planning application by reforming the Land Compensation Act 1961 and strengthening their powers to build their own homes.
Strengthening rights for renters in the private sector by banning no-fault evictions and making longer tenancies the default, and for social housing tenants by giving them more powers over the management of their homes and estates.
Improving standards for new homes to ensure they are warm, cheap to heat and produce zero emissions.
Ensuring that leaseholders do not have to pay a penny towards removing dangerous cladding from their buildings.

It is tricky to see the future – ie the next 10 years . If it is anything like the last 10 years maybe we are looking at an additional 5 to 10 million ‘arrivals ‘ in different forms …. Certainly even more likely if red labour are in the chair ….

So what happens if the population hits 75 million – with the concentrations in the big cities . Population densities causing even more serious crime – with public services collapsing even further ….
That’s what I see . The EU will use the UK as a toilet whether we are in it or not – the likes of India will demand more ‘students ‘ along with the rest of the third world …. And the families ….

Fed, as one who lives in ‘the country’ (which is very rapidly becoming just more city without any of the transport or facilities, and a few sorry green patches here and there) what is happening as I’m sure you’re aware is, as the ‘newcomers’ swamp the big cities and turn them into foreign countries, the previous residents are fleeing out to ‘the country’ (‘white flight’) and turning it into even more city.

For us, used to our ‘slow country ways’, swarms of displaced cockneys are almost as bad as swarms of immigrants for you – they don’t understand life in the small towns and villages, they don’t understand our local, rural culture, and they have no appreciation of it, beyond “Ain’t it pretty – how much do you want for it mate?”

Where do we go? Squeezed out by the surging hordes displaced from the east and the midlands, further west – into deepest, darkest Wales, where we aren’t wanted?

75 million will hit us sooner than you think, if it isn’t here already, and the vast majority, both native and foreign born, will want to live in the southern half of England. There won’t be many green places left, and certainly no room for nature – so all this drivel about ‘environment’ is pure nonsense, the best way to preserve nature and the environment is to give it plenty of room and leave it alone, not to build all over it all!

There are so many similarities to the fall of the Roman Empire and the westwards surge of the barbarian tribes – the Angles, Saxons, Jutes, then the Danes, Norse etc… in this country. As we all know, that resulted in the ‘Dark Ages’ (that they like to tell us now “weren’t really that bad at all”), a thousand years of decay, bloodshed, and barbarism – something for future generations to look forward to, I suppose.

I’d like to think I’ve had my feet in both town and country – although sadly I am a lunduner…. I’ve seen the hypocrscy of ‘white flight ‘ where they claim not to be racists but get to places which still speak English as the majority language …

As I wrote that about 75 million I did wonder if the UK is there already ? Does any one know ? Stuff about water usage being the most reliable estimate of numbers ? Seems to sum up the total lack of knowledge of the State – leaving the border uncontrolled for so long – afraid to be accused of ‘racism’ .

As you say – the fuel – ingredients – for the demise of Britain is being imported year by year and it’s a matter of time before things happen which won’t even feature as a crass ‘wake up call ‘ about ‘community cohesion ‘ and ‘integration ‘ with those of very different values crushing the liberals who are causing it .

I would like to know the current number of houses being built, particularly if targets are not being met, because wherever you go in the UK nowhere is immune from endless housing estates springing up. And to my mind they alone must be in the hundreds of thousands of new homes.

Government doubling down on “Mass Murder” Censored by the BBC

YouTube (doubtless at the behest of Fred Dinenage’s daughter) took down a video of the searing evidence presented to the Hallett Inquiry by Anna Morris KC of the experiences of the half million vaccine injured and bereaved: https://www.conservativewoman.co.uk/we-have-been-sleepwalking-into-state-censorship-and-now-it-is-nearly-here/

OFCOM’s “Compelled Speech Doctrine” compels the BBC and all mainstream media Editors to censor the voice of the half million vaccine injured and bereaved, and say that the mRNA jab is “Safe and Effective”. Any violation of this “truth” will involve punishment by the “Ministry of Truth”: https://bigbrotherwatch.org.uk/campaigns/ministry-of-truth/#take-action

Government cracks down on Free Speech: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-cracks-down-on-spread-of-false-coronavirus-information-online

The Online Safety Bill hands total control of online free speech to OFCOM, and the creation of a new advisory committee on “truth” which will be expected to submit regular reports to OFCOM and the Secretary of State on how best to censor the “truth” on regulated services. The “truth” is then labelled harmful and censored. For example, talking about the half million vaccine injured, informed consent on mRNA jabs, scientific papers showing that climate change in natural, and that there are only two genders, will be labelled as spreading “harmful” information, and censored. Clause 156 takes it a stage further than censorship though, and turns “harmful” into a criminal offence thus open to prosecution and imprisonment. Clause 157 then exempts the BBC and newspapers not banned by the government from clause 156. The British public is then told the bill is all about protecting children from sexual perverts like Russell Brand. The BBC can promote the governments harmful wickedness and mass murder without falling foul of clause 156, but the vaccine injured, and everyone else can go to prison for complaining about the government using a “Ministry of Truth” with civil servants and the Army and OFCOM, to censor the truth.

Let us never forget this fundamental truth: the State has no source of money other than money which people earn themselves. If the State wishes to spend more it can do so only by borrowing your savings or by taxing you more. It is no good thinking that someone else will pay – that ‘someone else’ is you. There is no such thing as public money; there is only taxpayers’ money.

As Ukraine’s struggle against Russia and its proxies continues, Kiev must also contend with a growing problem behind the front lines: far-right vigilantes who are willing to use intimidation and even violence to advance their agendas, and who often do so with the tacit approval of law enforcement agencies.

I don’t often buy newspapers these days; somehow, I’ve just got out of the habit. However, I did pick up the Mail on Saturday. I have to say, I rather wish I hadn’t…

Most of this rag is given over to holiday adverts, drivel about gormless celebrities, bitchy pieces by Amanda Platell and lots of very uninteresting sport. All this was just padding, but what really boiled my pi…urine…was a two page propaganda piece about the “coming pandemic”.

Yes, just when you thought we were over covid, along comes another virus…but this one is entirely imaginary. The whole article was just a scare piece, promoting a mythical virus that doesn’t exist…but one day might do. I mean, FFS!

“The next pandemic is already coming” the headline screamed, “and it could kill millions more than covid.”

There’s not an iota of fact in the entire piece, it’s all doom mongering speculation. And the writers of this horror are worthy of note also… Kate Bingham, the “venture capitalist” put in charge of the vaccine taskforce by the disgraced Matt Hancock…and Tim Hames, who was a special adviser to John Bercow.
Since covid Bingham has been made a dame and received a plethora of honours as well as pocketing (at the very least) £670,000 from the British taxpayer…I don’t know much about the other bloke, but if he was associated with Bercow…

Apart from all the catastrophising an imaginary virus, they even manage to wedge in a sliver of environmental propaganda. “So why are pandemics on the increase” (actually, they’re not, but) ” millions of acres of natural habitat are being destroyed…deforestation…modern agriculture…destruction of wetlands…” You notice there’s not a mention of lab leaks in China. All very suss.

To make this even more terrifying they even give this made-up virus a name; DISEASE X…and we’re told what we need to do before DISEASE X hits Britain. One of these things is to sign up to a global pandemic treaty, headed by Davos. This would involve a world-wide vaccination programme.

    You know what…I don’t think so…

I read another report the other day on the BBC about the Armenian/Azerbaijan conflict and it was so sterile, I had no real clue about who was fighting who or why.

Now I read this one and it’s a similar story. In the report we get:

‘Armenia’s PM has warned that ethnic cleansing is “under way” in the region.’ But no more information about who is being killed or by who are why.

I assume Azerbaijan are ‘ethnic-cleansing’ Armenians – but there is a spectacular lack of any details whatsoever by the BBC. It’s as if they don’t want us to know.

So I did a bit of searching with google:

‘As of 2011, most Armenians in Armenia are Christians (97%) ‘

‘Islam is the majority religion in Azerbaijan, but the country is considered to be the most secular in the Muslim world. Estimates include 97.3% (World Factbook of CIA, 2020) and 99.2% (Pew Research Center, 2006) of the population identifying as Muslim.’

More disgusting, shameless lies by omission from the BBC. They don’t care one bit who dies : only the agenda matters.

It’s very hard to accept all the agenda-based lies we get from the likes of the BBC and bitter far-left activists such as maxi when events in the real world demonstrate the exact opposite and these people commit these types of crimes way, way, way above their actual representation in our society.

Caution. This edition was written earlier this morning and contains attitudes and terminology of that time, that may now, an hour or two later, require a warning that reader discretion is advised

For those among us perhaps feeling their age, who may justifiably cringe at the terminology: elderly, OAP, veteran, grey, etc… this morning’s popular tabloid The Sun has a handy new euphemism for us: ‘Non-recent’

This of course refers to the screamer headline: ‘Non-recent’ allegations. Cops probe Brand ‘sex assults’ – a concise and bold accusatory shout (despite the scare quotes) that wins the tabloid a rare top spot in the BBC online press line-up. No broadsheet pussy-footing equivocation there from the red top title that famously brought us Gotcha! – compare and contrast to the almost lackadaisical Times: Police investigating mulitple Brand claims

Of course this is not news as such. The Police were oblidged to investigate those media investigated allegations and given the well known fact that Russell Brand… how shall we say… put himself about a bit… sowed more than his share of wild oats…? Think about the percentages – there are bound to have been a few questionable encounters among the plethora of his liasons.

Mr AsI is a keen enthusiast of the odd awkward media juxtaposition. Simultaneous, yet contrary, media bold exclaimations are one amusing manifestation of the genre. Think of these as existing along the lines of what that supposed old Native American expression described: “White man, him speak with forked tongue”

Your humble press reviewer therefore delights in spotting the expression ‘non-recent’ allegations popping up on the cover of The Sun of grub street on the very day that the Times of London speaks of: Time limit could shield armed officers from charges after revolt

Give the cops guns… and people gonna get shot

Lionise celebs the likes of Brand… and girls gonna get fucked

May I here introduce a segment I’d like to entitle – with due respect to the talent that is Michael Winner – ‘Calm Down, Dear

Juxtaposed with: I steal fruit from city trees – it’s called urban foraging (‘i’) – surely the editor Oly Duff knew what he was doing there – well, I suppose at least you don’t have to peel off those annoying little stickers and ingest the glue residue

Among other useful new segments debued hereabouts might be ‘Far-Right Watch

We’ve got Rishi our green card carrying former Goldman Sachs office boy as our PM now there’s: Radical shift. From Goldman to Syriza… the new leader of Greece’s main opposition party… A former Goldman Sachs associate who made his shipping fortune in Miami… Based in the US until recently, with virtually no political experience on a CV that included a career in high finance… harnesed a social media campaign to beat three former Syriza ministers… (FT) Syriza… I thought they were the socialists?

Remember, folks, it’s not a conspiracy theory, if it’s true

Returning for a moment within the world of crushing inevitablity: The State embarks on a major infrastructure project – and wouldn’t you just know it: PM alarmed by runaway cost of HS2

Ed ‘Stewpot’ Stewart’s Junior Choice radio show ran from 1968 on weekend morning BBC Radio One: The show was peppered with catch-phrase jingles such as “‘Ello Darlin’“, recorded by an unknown patient at a hospital in Billericay (Thank you, Wiki)

And as far as I know, there’s not been a whiff of scandal.

Anyway, a favourite tune played for the kids on the Ed Stewpot show was The Runaway Train by Michael Holliday [1956]

The engineer said the train must halt and she blew, HS2
The engineer said the train must halt, he said it was all
    the fireman’s fault
And she blew, HS2, blew, blew, blew

The runaway train went over the hill and she blew, HS2
The runaway train went over the hill and the last we heard she was going still
And she blew, HS2, blew, blew, blew

Project’s finances ‘far worse than anyone knows’… More senior Tories warn against curtailing route (Times); Scrapping HS2 will hurt trust in UK, warns Birmingham City’s US owners – the Financial Times today echoing/rehersing the sort of argument they deployed over the recent PM’s mumblings over potential curtailing of Net Zero targets – although some might say the FT was the very voice of crony capitalist lucrative State contract troughers incorporated.

And just as Ed Stewart liked to utilise that “‘Ello Darlin’” clip – were recordings of courtroom proceedings legal back in 1963, Mr AsI would wish to here deploy some version of the wit and wisdom of Marilyn ‘Mandy’ Rice-Davies: “Well they would, wouldn’t they?

Interesting that the FT likes to cite the overseas owners of a football club for their expertise on UK infrastucture strategy. Just a wild guess but I’m assuming the US top brass would fly transatlantic into Heathrow then helicopter up to Brum to attend the odd home match at St. Andrew’s – that’s the football boss way of travel.

One scoffs at the pink market-watchers paper citing a soccer club but this comes hard on the heals of a public health official citing a Channel 4 show as an evidential source in respect of NHS problems: Dr Adrian Boyle, President of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine… Citing Channel 4’s reality TV series ‘24 Hours in A&E is not just a documentary, it’s a way of life…’ (freebie Metro yesterday)

The giveaway corporate ad sheet Metro has form here for their love affair reversion to as a text book the fourth channel: Trash TV or visionary viewing? Looking back at 40 years of Channel 4 (Metro November 2022)

In any political struggle, or more seriously an actual conflict, the worst course of action is not so much to fear the enemy’s propaganda, but rather to believe as gospel your own propaganda. Perhaps the powers that be are now just beginning to reluctantly admit some of their past mistakes in this direction?

Russia has proved its resilience to western sanctions, says Deripaska (FT)

    Key Findings

Global quangos have received £85 billion from the UK government since 2009, over half of all ODA in this period.

When the government increased ODA spending to 0.7 per cent of GNI in 2013, 73 per cent of the £6 billion increase went to global quangos.

The 0.7 per cent of GNI commitment meant £32 billion more was spent compared to if the commitment were at 0.5 per cent in the eight years from 2013 to 2020, and £18 billion of that went to global quangos.

If ODA spending remains at 0.5 per cent of GNI until 2027, taxpayers will be spending £37 billion less including £20 billion on global quangos.

They ignore the fact that the great majority in the UK totally agree with what she is trying to achieve against the combined ranks of the cash for stash dodgy immigration lawyers, the border force, the limp dems and other bleeding heart numbskulls and the duplicitous French authorities.

Why do the Tories not take a good look at the BBC tactics? They are 100% politically motivated and as such the BBC are driving a coach and horses through OFCOM regulations and especially warped in that that they are doing this with public cash.

OFCOM of course being another cheek of the same arse just look the other way.

Perhaps the Tories should hold a referendum and ask Joe Public whether they be enabled to ignore the sharks, globalist courts etc and just ship illegal arrivals out within 24 hours. Not so much to punish those who ship up on the beaches, more to bring a total halt to the tidal wave of chancers when they realise getting on a rubber raft will get them nowhere fast. It would go to zero arrivals within 24 hours.

Islam Channel is an English-language satellite TV station airing religious instruction, current affairs, documentaries and entertainment programmes from an Islamic perspective.
Our investigation found The Andinia Plan, a one-hour documentary that examined a conspiracy theory which originated in a neo-Nazi publication, amounted to hate speech against Jewish people. This antisemitic content was also highly offensive and not sufficiently justified by the context.
We concluded that these were serious and repeated breaches of our rules which warranted the imposition of the following statutory sanctions: a financial penalty, to be paid by Islam Channel Ltd to HM Paymaster General; a direction not to repeat the programme; and a direction to broadcast a statement of our findings on a date and in a form to be determined by Ofcom.”

“Anti-gay discrimination not qualification for asylum, says Suella Braverman”

So what has she, her Government and her ‘boss’ being doing about it since we voted for BREXIT?

“Adam Britton: British croc expert admits sexually abusing dogs”
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-66920778

Creepy guy torturing animals to death sharing the videos, and accessing child abuse online.

“Born in West Yorkshire, Britton grew up in the UK before moving to Australia over 20 years ago to work with crocodiles.”

So how come he’s labeled as British, and not under his new country, as is the convention at the BBC when talking about cases involving trash we’ve recently imported?

How long can you live outside the UK without losing citizenship?
You can leave the UK for: 5 years without losing settled status from the EU Settlement Scheme – 4 years if you’re Swiss. 2 years without losing indefinite leave to remain.

Can you lose British citizenship if you live abroad?
In most normal circumstances you will not lose your British citizenship if living abroad unless you opt to renounce your status as a British citizen and give up your British passport.6 Jan 2023

I can hardly believe that story
It’s like something Putin would make up against his political opponents.
      plead guilty though
” has admitted to 60 charges relating to bestiality and child abuse material.”

Some media mention a BBC connection

“Britton and his wife worked for the BBC and National Geographic.
      and hosted Attenborough.”

On May 13th The Daily Mail used this headline
Darwin man faces 162 charges animal cruelty including bestiality
The court was told the alleged facts were so perverted that they would ‘offend against public decency’.

The ABC broke the story 26 Apr 2022
Darwin man charged with bestiality and animal cruelty faces court for the first time”

The law there says names must be suppressed before the court starts, then his lawyers got the ban extended
but 2 weeks later people were tweeting it

Seems he got into making perverted video for snuff websites
and got caught when his face appeared on camera.
The worst video was the one where he apparently raped a dog and litter and killed them

“The jury have hard how on another occasion, Belfield claimed Mr Vine had made his (Mr Vine’s) daughter a director of his company to avoid paying more tax, an allegation which was “completely untrue”, the prosecutor had told the court. Mr Vine, who has two daughters, said this was, “completely and utterly untrue”.13 Jul 2022″

In 2012, it emerged that more than 140 BBC stars were funnelling cash through private firms to avoid paying millions in tax. During the resulting controversy, Mr Vine ran a spoof, ‘Jeremy’s six-step guide to tax avoidance for the rich’, on his radio show.7 Mar 2015
