Midweek 27th September 2023

A leading BBC presenter thinks the reason the flagship ‘today ‘ programme has lost huge numbers of listeners is that they are ‘news deniers’ . It seems he has a fairly low opinion of listeners . Like so many in the BBC – he is right – the audience is wrong . far Left Group Think Rules … but the audience goes away …

I get countless ‘suggested for you’ posts on FB, often from dubious areas of interest.

However this, from ‘Music Base Africa’, caught my eye.

“ 🤣😂Young Nigerian artiste, Small Baddo was taken to UK for a show by an event promoter and after the show he ran away. The young artiste wrote the event promoter on WhatsApp telling him he won’t be returning to Nigeria because “Nigeria is not for him” !

The event promoter has already been fined £6000 coz Small Baddo’s UK visa has expired. The promoter’s license to bring other artistes to UK might be seized if Small Baddoo doesn’t show up💔💔!”

The story has an image of Mr. Baddo on what looks like a U.K. train, sneakers up on the chair opposite.

If verified, this rather undermines claims made by many in politics and associated media pr teams.

How is it that a very minor story became the BBC’s headline news on the website on a day when a 15 year old girl was stabbed to death in Khan’s London?

Could it be that the BBC is using its dominant position, power and influence to whip up this story into a ‘scandal’ in order to bring down a rival news organisation…one that most certainly does not share the BBC’s [or most of the MSM’s] worldview?

Is the real scandal not Lawrence Fox’s puerile comments but the BBC’s campaign to close GBNews….an organisation that they have railed against since its inception…..Nick Robinson urging people to contact Ofcom in order to close it down even before it opened up!

Hmmm…the BBC that was quite happy to give a platform to Brand…both Russell and Jo. Apparently fine to suggest someone should throw acid into the face of Nigel Farage…also fine for someone to suggest we should ‘Kill Whitey’……or to say Jewish settlers should be shot in the back of the neck. It’s fine…just jokes or the speaker os well known as a provocative speaker….and what of the BBC environmental presenter/campaigner suggesting people should break the law…maybe even burn down oil refineries? That’s just fine.

Amazing what you can get away with saying on the BBC if you’re the right political persuasion or Black or Muslim.

I was going to say more about the clear hijacking of this story by the BBC & friends in order to shut down a news organisation in order to maintain their cosy cartel’s stranglehold on news and information…and more importantly the power to filter and shape that news….thus your views, voting habits and politics itself.

Listening to the BBC during the day the narrative was clear and crystalised when Jeremy Vine suggested ‘the skids are under the whole channel’….which would make everyone at the BBC very happy…can’t have someone bringing the people an alternative perspective on ‘the news’ can we?

An article in Spiked says everything and more than I dream up….perhpas it is the corrupt and broken BBC that should be on the skids….

‘The establishment campaign to shut down GB News’
‘‘Government shuts down anti-establishment news channel’ is the kind of news you might expect to hear from some benighted post-Soviet backwater. Yet, last night, a BBC Newsnight panel of liberal-elite luminaries were calling on the British state to do precisely this.
Former Sky News journalist Adam Boulton, Tory MP Caroline Nokes and former Sun editor David Yelland were, of course, talking about GB News – Britain’s anti-woke, anti-establishment TV news channel. All three panellists were in furious agreement that GB News is dangerous, while Boulton and Nokes said explicitly that it should be taken off the airwaves.

As the campaign to shut down GB News reveals, the liberal elites will do whatever it takes to maintain their grip on the broadcast media. They are a menace to democracy, pluralism and free speech. They cannot be allowed to get away with this.’

Labour suspends activist challenging gender self-identification policy

Lewis said he had decided to stand for the role, which party rules say can only be held by a woman, in order to draw attention to Labour’s policy of self-definition, where a person is recognised as a woman if they define themselves as such.

    • Mustapha Sheikup al-Beebi says:

You mentioned “kill Whitey” which was uttered by comedian Sophie Duker after Frankie Boyle suggested the idea as part of a (comedy) discussion.

Well, our Soph’ was on Radio 4’s “My Teenage Diary” today (18:30-19:00) hosted by Rufus Hound. There are a few good shows in this slot now, to give praise where it’s due, but this is not one of them. I don’t find it funny, which is of course simply a matter of personal taste.

Sophie was quite articulate, though with a very liberal sprinkling of the word “like” as an all-purpose filler. Her diaries covered the period 2004-06, when she was roughly 14-16. She got into Wadham College but regretted being a good schoolgirl and working as she did at that age.

She reported having written gay male erotica at the time, while admitting to knowing little about the subject. Sophie went to what she abbreviated as “NLCS” – a private school in north London. She joked that it stood for “nobody leaves completely straight.”

At one point, she described herself as “dancing like there were centipedes in my v@gin@” which got a big laugh from the Radio 4 studio audience. According to Wiki, she identifies as “queer”.

      How very BBC!

Interesting there’s no backlash from the good and the great about Santina’s views on men’s suicide which she dismissed as a nothingburger…and men might have died more during covid…but women had to do the laundry!

The BBC barely mention the provocative comments she made and stance she took, er on a BBC programme, that provoked Fox’s own comments. Fox’s comments were puerile and unpleasant but whose comments were genuinely the most offensive, cruel and heartless?

‘The sexism row started after Fox insulted PoliticsJOE political correspondent Ava Evans over her views on the idea of a minister for men, which she expressed during an appearance on BBC Politics Live. ‘

That’s it….but her views were savaged by others when she expressed them….maybe PoliticsJOE should be closed down for employing a woman who clearly cares not a jot about men’s suicide and regards the tragedies as funny and unimportant….

‘On Twitter, one viewer raged: “Geoff Norcott on Politics Live discussing the idea of a Minister For Men to bring down male suicide. PoliticsJOE’s @AvaSantina calls it part of the ‘culture war’ and laughs it off. Disgusting reaction from an awful ‘news’ outlet.”

And a second agreed: “‘During covid, men were literally more likely to die’, ‘But women had to do the laundry…’ B****y hell. Did she really say that? Disgusting level of misandry on display here.”

A third echoed: “That was really awful and heartless reaction from that woman. Exactly the attitude that lead men afraid to open up and get help.”‘

  12. pugnazious says:

‘Late last night BBC’s Newsnight hosted an unbalanced GB News bashing panel where both Adam Boulton and Caroline Nokes called for the channel to be taken off-air because Laurence Fox was rude. Ofcom, when it ruled against GB News over impartiality, reminded broadcasters:

“The Code is clear that when programmes are dealing with matters of major political controversy and current public policy, the heightened special impartiality requirements apply. Specifically, Rules 5.11 and 5.12 require that an appropriately wide range of significant views must be included and given due weight in such programmes, or in clearly linked and timely programmes.”

Calling for the shutdown of a broadcaster because a presenter has behaved badly is an extreme stance. Despite the BBC’s roster of presenters including the likes of Russell Brand, Jimmy Saville and John Peel – all of whom behaved far worse than Laurence Fox – their misbehaviour has not resulted in calls for the station to be shut down. Newsnight’s panel did not constitute the required “appropriately wide range of significant views” as required by Ofcom. If co-conspirators want to make a complaint to Ofcom about Newsnight’s lack of impartiality they can do it here.’

  13. pugnazious says:

Lest we forget why those dangerous ‘conspiracy theorists’ had concerns about covid vaccines…..

‘Germany, Italy, France suspend AstraZeneca shots amid safety fears, disrupting EU vaccinations’
‘Germany, France and Italy said on Monday they would suspend AstraZeneca COVID-19 shots after several countries reported possible serious side-effects, but the World Health Organization (WHO) said there was no proven link and people should not panic.
Still, the decision by the European Union’s three biggest countries to put inoculations with the AstraZeneca shot on hold threw the already struggling vaccination campaign in the 27-nation EU into disarray.

Denmark and Norway stopped giving the shot last week after reporting isolated cases of bleeding, blood clots and a low platelet count. Iceland and Bulgaria followed suit and Ireland and the Netherlands announced suspensions on Sunday.

Spain will stop using the vaccine for at least 15 days, Cadena Ser radio reported, citing unnamed sources.’

The BBC has a duty to report responsibly in a balanced, measured and accurate manner and not to act as the propaganda mouthpiece for a government intent on enforcing a dystopian shutdown of the nation, not to demonise anyone who dares raise questions about vaccines, not to use the overhyped myth of ‘conspiracy theories’ to leverage the shutdown or political control of social media.

Unfortunately the BBC shamed itself and peddled one of the biggest lies in history to the huge detriment of this country and ironically far from ‘saving the NHS’ it looks like it damn near destroyed it as it suffers a long drawn out death smothered as it is by the long, long tail-back of patients left untreated during lockdown….not to mention education and children’s mental health or the economy….no irony that Sweden is now being proposed as the model we should perhaps use as an example of how to cope with a future pandemic…..you know…Sweden…the country that the BBC told us was basically murdering its population by its pandemic response.

The BBC, highly politicised and corrupt spreading lies and propaganda…..which is why it is the most dangerous organisation in Britain today….not, er, Lawrence Fox on GBNews.

Now I go on Google Scholar for scientific papers on many subjects. I searched “mRNA Vaccine Injury”. I got 17,700 papers to read. To many to read so I bought a book called “mRNA Vaccine Toxicity” by Doctors for Covid Ethics, which includes facts about Mass Murder from many of these papers. There are also 3,500 doctors and other scientists looking at the Pfizer documents, which reveal Mass Murder. These documents were mentioned by Naomi Wolf on the Mark Steyn Show. OFCOM insists that any mention of the “Mass Murder” by the establishment is “harmful” to the establishment and should remain under censorship. Mark Stein is taking OFCOM to court. OFCOM and the Trusted News Initiative insist that Big Pharma should be protected from the vaccine injured and mass murder by censorship and the government insist that Big Pharma should be protected from the vaccine injured and mass murder by legal indemnity, and the intelligence services insist that Big Pharma should be protected from the vaccine injured and mass murder by the “Safe and Effective” Propaganda. Any violation of the censorship and the propaganda will be punished with a lie.

As I am a self-professed swivel-eyed loon identifying as a ‘conspiracy theorist’ I would propose this is how the criminal psyops run by our supposed ‘government’ work. They have conditioned the public into accepting there was a pandemic in the first place, there will be another one coming soon and we have to do something to prevent it which involves further restrictions on everyone’s freedom of movement and civil liberties. Firstly there was no pandemic as there is no virus. It’s really that simple. People have now been conditioned to shrug their shoulders and accept the Swedish option as the lesser of two evils. I would use two words to anyone who tries to impose any restrictions on my freedom of movement and my right to say what I think. I think you know what they are.

A BBC investigation has uncovered more than 150 reports of camera misuse by forces in England and Wales – described as “shocking” by a leading officer.’

The BBC tells us that police officers are ‘widely misusing body-worn cameras’……erm….well….150 instances in a two year investigation……but what’s missing?

How many times do police officers use such cameras? Thousands of times a day nationally? Millions of times per year? The BBC doesn’t say, doesn’t give us the context…..is 150 times a scandalously extreme number or in fact a miniscule number in comparison to the number of times cameras are used daily and annually? In other words is this a complete non-story hyped up by an organisation that is desperate to portray the police in as bad a light as possible….especially in terms of how they deal with Blacks….no coincidence the main ‘victim’ in the report is black.

Ofcom investigates Dan Wootton and Laurence Fox GB News row after 7,300 complaints

    7,300 for that ?????.

I was suprised Lawrence said it, but it was nowhere near that bad and the woman is vile. It seems HIGHLY unlikely to me because anyone watching would be right-wing anyway and must know what this woman is like if they are bothered enough to complain.

I am 100% certain this is the work of the same type of activists who infest certain BBC HYS topics and vastly skew the comments in favour of the far-Left.

No doubt some of them watch it then the word goes out to complain. The Left absolutely despise GB News.

I keep saying it : the Left are the new Nazis. They are oppressing those they hate purely on ideological grounds. It’s fascism in it’s purest form : the suppression of all opposing opinions.

It’s no coincidence that they are systematically going after their enemies – with the FULL support of the BBC.

OFCOM should be investigating who is making the complaints. I saw a thread on social media were people were asking why Wootan was suspended as well – and saw comments like ‘Well, he’s just as bad so he deserves it’.

Welcome to the brave new world. Get punished just because the Left don’t like you. Just like what the most famous Nazi of all did when he got the power. Just imagine what these people will do if they ever get it.

You join us on a morning when Mr AsI (in bad humour) says to our supposedly heroic blue light emergency services: “Shut up. Buck up, and just do the jobs, we thought we’d paid you to do!”

UK unready as wildfires surge, warns firefighters’ union (BBC) – You know that big shiny red thing with wheels and water hoses that’s parked in your garage – rev it up, drive quick as you like to these bloody grass fires that seemingly everyone has suddenly decided to term ‘Wildfires’ as though we imagined we all lived deep in the parched Aussie Outback – turn the taps on and do your job.

Heartbreaking tributes to stabbing victim Elianne, 15… Police officers also fought back tears at the scene in Croydon, South London… (Daily Mirror) – if the heat of life in uniform is too much for you, luv… get back to the kitchen

Numerous tributes have been left where she died. A handwritten note from the London Fire Brigade left at the scene says: “Our heart is broken…” (BBC) – Slow day on the Croydon wildfires front, eh lads? Stay in your lane.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police held a minute’s silence in Croydon before leaving flowers (BBC) – how about the Met knock off this performative crap, get back out on the beat, do some stop and search to take the knives off the black kids out there busy stabbing one another, and generally nick more villains – wouldn’t that tend to reassure ‘The Community’, as they like to say these days?

Instead we get almost apologetic taking-the-knee-style obeisance to ‘The community’: Det Ch Insp Rebecca Woodsford, of the Metropolitan Police, said: Elianne’s death had left “many people feeling upset” before thanking “the people of Croydon for the support they have shown us as we have carried out our inquiries in the town centre” (BBC) – rainbow diversity medals all round for solving this open and shut (child’s play) case? Didn’t exactly require the little grey cells of Hercule Poirot, did it?

Having established Mr AsI’s impatience with our failing, over costly: Families face biggest rise in tax burden since records began (Telegraph) public sector so-called services – and mind you, his heart of stone…

Perhaps it was this next report which encapsulates the state of the nation in yet another bewildering moment of madness that put him in such bad humour this morning…?

MORONIC… For 300 years this majestic sycamore graced Hadrian’s wall… until an act of utterly mindless vandalism felled it. Now as the nation reels in disgust, a 16-year-old boy is arrested – Kudos to the Daily Mirror for spotting and headlining this incident which, to my mind at least, symbolically stands emblematic, representative, metaphorically of our deliberately maleducated younger generation caught in the act of committing – while we stand apparently impotent – another mindless scene in the on-going drama of national self-harm.

And we leave it there with – as we’d like to imagine – English and Scots cops negotiating over who has jurisdiction in this border incident as they search for CCTV evidence, hold a vigil, fight back tears and reassure the local community of the ghosts of black Roman legionairies. Not forgetting to thank them for their cooperation.

Stop Press: A confession has just come in from a young lad named George Washington – that’s a gag for our American readers – those that still know their history.

    Islam still loves slavery …

“The first report of slave-taking by Boko Haram was on 13 May 2013 when a video was released of Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau saying his group had taken women and children – including teenage girls – hostage in response to the arrest of its members’ wives and children.[5]”

I wonder what sentence the lowlife that cut down the tree at Sycamore Gap (now known as Gap) will get.

If it’s very light then most people will be outraged but if it’s longer (3 years prison) then it will be used to compare with those getting lesser sentences for violent crimes such as gbh.

    • MarkyMark says:

Chris Packham says we can all become terrorists if we believe in the cause! BBC approved.

    • Flotsam says:

A very strange incident. What motivation? It’s not as if the tree was preventing development. The chainsaw used must have been very large, it would take some handling and there would be serious risk of injury or death.

Maybe it’s some sort of legend thing – and some kid wanting to famous….. curse on him …

Get Garden Rescue on the case. Mature trees can be bought, so perhaps something similar can be planted on the spot. It’s too beautiful a location to let it lay barren.

        • Emmanuel Goldstein says:

Apparently the Sycamore tree can grow back but it will obviously take decades.

I expect they will put a wind turbine up in its place for now.
Maybe change the name to Stop-Gap.

    • TrickCyclist says:

It’s a bit like with murderers. They shouldn’t get life sentences (25 years), they should just have to stay in prison for as long as their victims remain dead.
Same with this kid. Stick him in jail until the tree has grown back to what it was.

Good article by Allison Pearson in the Telegraph today defending GB News, The title and sub-title: ” The establishment can’t stand that GB News exists

Mistakes made by other new channels and presenters are swiftly brushed under the carpet because they are defended by their herd ”

    Here’s a snippet:

“GB News came into existence; to represent the views of the silenced and disdained majority who regard reporting on the mainstream broadcast media as so remote from their own life experience it may as well be a branch of science fiction. ”

After Steyn was fired I gave up on GBnews but I wouid not want it ‘gone ‘ even though it’s far to Left Wing for me – and no broadcaster with my views would last a day .

Anyway what I think is happening is a gradual erosion of GBnews by the Far Left – ie anyone not ‘approved ‘ . So every time a presenter makes an off the cuff remark or exhibits a non approved view the Far Left BBC choir will be on the red phone to their pals at BBCOFCOM and adding to the list of sins .

I’m not sure what the owners of GBnews are a doing about their aim of buying the telegraph but surely that must factor in too .

More generally with so called wimmin Tory MPs now yapping like banshees for a cancellation here and there the future of GBNews must be limited – whatever colour version of Labour runs the show next year ….

      Morning Fed,

I’m with you there, GBnews has become LBC with pictures. I used to listen to LBC all the time, even views I disagreed with, as it’s no use just picking out presenters that you approve of. As soon as Katie Hopkins was oofed out I gave up; I was amazed that Farage lasted as long as he did.
I remember when Farage was axed( (Or left), O’Brien said “We’ve got our station back.”. That’s the way mate, broaden your outlook by only listening to people like yourself.

      • BRISSLES says:

And clearly there is never any news happening in Kent (apart from Dover), and the South East, or the south coast, or the far south west, or Essex, and East Anglia, according to GBN. Yet if a man has a broken toe in Halifax then Anna Riley s l o w l y reports it, or a public response is needed to interest rates rising then Sophie Reaper is in Warrington to s l o w l y report.

Why is the North so important to GBN ?

TOADY Watch #1 – GB News is bad, boo hiss! Double boo and double hiss!!

Amol Rajan took so long interviewing the Aussie boss of GB News that the TOADY team forgot about the ‘look at the newspapers’ at 7.40/7.45 a.m. and Amol got in a muddle (for which he later apologised – but not the missing newspaper review) over whether Nigel Farage had been an MP. But that wasn’t the object of the exercise: it was to support ‘the Left’s’ claim the GB News is a dreadful example of ‘the patriarchy’ and is misogynistic.

    • vlad says:

The repulsive lefty Rajan is badgering the GB News boss to get Fox and Wootton fired, and positively salivating at the prospect.

Never perfect, the MSM now is staffed by knee jerk market rate ratings pinheads who know only how or want to deal in black or white, absolutes, with editorial rigging to tune ‘reports’ to fit predetermined outcomes, removing nuance or shades, or context.

That is bad enough, but they do it, and are allowed to do it in massively hypocritical, partial, dual track ways, based solely on ideological fealty.

I did not think much of Jo Brand’s attempt at ‘humour’, but felt it actually served to position her effectively. I don’t watch her, or the BBC.

I thought Fox’s comment was foolish in today’s climate, served his station poorly but having only subsequently discovered the full story can see how it arose. I don’t watch GB either, as I have no TVL.

That OFCOM is a state quango pawn run by public and interested party paid ex-employees with an as yet unclear % of BBC droids makes it unfit from the off.

That the whole state system is now stuffed with activist ideologues who can inspire mobs to justify them rigging supposedly impartial decision making on vague rules created specifically to allow this, is a recipe for anarchy.

Some background info on CEI for anyone wondering about the mechanisms responsible for companies pushing constant agendas these days.

“Corporate Equality Index” (CEI), a sort of “woke report card” published by the far-left Human Rights Campaign that goes hand-in-hand with so-called “environmental, social, and governance,” or ESG investing and can earn companies lucrative financial commitments from woke investment banks.

The Human Rights Campaign has long been one of the most powerful LGBTQ lobbying groups in the world, and enjoys millions of dollars in funding from liberal mega-donors like George Soros. The organization’s Corporate Equality Index, which debuted in 2002, is billed as “the premier survey benchmarking tool on how corporations across the United States and beyond are adopting equitable workplace policies, practices and benefits for LGBTQ+ employees.”
