    The Context
BBC News Channel, 17 October 2023

We have reviewed our coverage of the immediate aftermath of an explosion at the Al-Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza City on Tuesday night. During this our correspondent was giving instant analysis on the ground from Jerusalem in what was a confusing and difficult story. The programme repeatedly made it clear that it had yet to verify who was behind the blast, including in the questioning by the presenter. The correspondent said that the Israelis had been contacted and were investigating, adding “It’s hard to see what else this could be really given the size of the explosion other than an Israeli air strike or several air strikes” He then explained that in his experience as a reporter in Gaza that he had never seen explosions of this scale caused by rockets being fired out of the territory. He again stressed that the pictures had yet to be verified. We accept that even in this fast-moving situation it was wrong to speculate in this way, although he did not at any point report that it was an Israeli strike. This doesn’t represent the entirety of the BBC’s output and anyone watching, listening to or reading our coverage can see we have set out both sides’ competing claims about the explosion, clearly showing who is saying them, and what we do or don’t know.

This report is by JNS (Jewish News Syndicate):

      https://www.israeltoday.co.il/read/too-many-red-lines-crossed-israeli-hospital-bans-bbc/

The Galilee Medical Center has had enough:

Citing BBC News’s “biased coverage” of the war against Hamas, staff at the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya banned a film crew from entering the hospital on Saturday, a hospital spokesperson said.

“In everything related to the BBC network, too many red lines were crossed, so when they asked to film at our medical center and interview doctors, it was clear that they were looking for manipulations and distortions, so we informed them that we have closed our doors to them until further notice,” he added.

Hospital spokesperson Gal Zeid told JNS, “I issued the announcement to the media in the hope that other bodies and institutions in the health system, including in the country as a whole, will show solidarity, certainly during the war, and refuse, like us, to cooperate with media outlets and parties that cover the reality in a biased way and refuse to see Hamas as a terrorist organization, which harms all citizens of Israel indiscriminately.”

The publicly funded British news service is facing harsh criticism for its coverage of the Gaza war.

President Isaac Herzog and other officials have blasted the BBC for refusing to describe Hamas as “terrorists.”

“We are dealing with one of the worst terrorist organizations in the world,” Herzog told visiting British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Thursday.

“I know that in modern democracies, like ours and yours, you can’t interfere per se, but since the BBC has a certain linkage and is known as British all over the world, there has to be an outcry for it to be corrected, and that Hamas will be defined as a terrorist organization there as well,” Herzog said. “What else do they need to see to understand that this is an atrocious terror organization?”

That’s right! No better than Al Jazeera!

The loathsome VD gets put in her place by an Israeli spokesman after smugly lecturing him on the niceties of war.

Though he did, perhaps, miss a trick in not pointing out to her that the rules of war refer to regular armies in conflict, not asymmetric warfare with a terrorist group that hides among civilians.

The feed suddenly went dead, which the lying BBC claimed was due to a ‘technical difficulty’.

    Yeah, sure.

‘Security in the square was high with a significant police presence, a BBC reporter at the scene said.’

Clearly what he DIDN’T say is that security was high to prevent them being attacked by more Muslims.

Of the many ways the BBC lie to us without actually lying, omission of things they don’t want us to know is by far the greatest.

The standout thing to me about this has been that after the most horrific terrorist attacks in living memory, our country has seen huge protests from the same group as those who did the attacks – but are protesting against the response from the victims !.

And they are being given a free ticket while they do it. Particularly from the BBC.

Keep it up BBC I say : hopefully it will be your undoing.

I would say the world is closer to it now than it has ever been.

What I found odd about this video is that the original video (which showed much more about man’s inhumanity to other men as opposed to the obvious ‘activist’ versions we have now) seems to have been purged from the internet completely.

As far as the BBC and Hamas is concerned, the BBC have been swept away by believing that the sentiments of deluded students and London wokerites waving hate-filled placards and now it seems with tacit approval of some in our police force represent the mood of the Country.

Or more likely they are actively pushing that mantra.

They could not be more wrong.

I believe the majority of people just look at the facts and not some radical shite put out by university professors and warped teachers.

The BBC therefore is out of step with the vast majority of people in this Country and should go their own way on their own finances and not leech cash off the majority of people in this Country who see them as an abhorrent institution with a creed of Marxism that the vast majority of people in this country would never support or vote for.

They have become part of a creeping sickness in pockets of our society that one day we are going to have to deal with if ever we get a British government with some spunk.

The Palestinian cause is facing an existential threat as an extreme right-wing Israeli government, which includes fascists, continues in power and sees an opportunity to make substantial gains in the pursuit of a Greater Israel, while the international community looks away.
In the absence of what should be united support for a people under illegal occupation, facing the wrath of the world’s 4th military power, the Palestinians must look to themselves to find a way to end the occupation, attain their rights and see the refugees return.

Both claimed to be Christians but they supported an organisation that, effectively, had a goal of the complete destruction of Israel. Obviously not well versed in the Old Testament Scriptures and very selective reading of the NT Scriptures, too.

I remember exactly where I was when I first read about Meir Kahane’s proposed remedy for Gaza. Meir Kahane was an American Jew – a Rebbe – but at the time, I think, was living in Israel. He was also a nasty piece of work because a chill ran down my back (just like when I heard Shirley Williams and Harriet Harman speak on BBC R4 in 2009/10) as I read Meir Kahane’s words because they were the language of holocaust from the 1930s.

The tone has been lowered, but the BBC are still chipping away:

    ‘Explosions reported near Gaza hospitals
In the last few hours there have been reports of explosions near several hospitals in Gaza. It’s still unclear if there are any casualties.’

So I thought I’d have a go at telling a story ‘BBC style’:

I saw a family of 4 white people (with two extremely cute young children who want to be doctors and help people) very nearly murdered by a lorry travelling at high speed today. ‘The lorry was definitely driven by a member of Hamas’ said my friends uncle.

The lorry missed them by just a couple of meters. As did several cars following behind it. I was unable to confirm if they too were driven by members of Hamas.

Yesterday I linked to a BBC article which I wrote:

‘How about this for the greatest understatement of one of the most horrific terrorist attacks in history:

Israel cut off supplies of fuel, electricity and water to Gaza after Hamas’s military wing broke through the border into Israel on 7 October, killing people and taking more than 200 hostages.’

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-67182116

Now I see that text has been completely removed from the article.

This is another trick the BBC use. They write something outrageously in-line with the far-Left agenda in the first version of an article then later on change it into something more acceptable. But of course most people reading it will have read the outrageous version, not the archived version.

It’s a bit like when kids (and childish people) half whisper something facetious to their mates, and if you (or a teacher) call them out about it, they can say “You heard wrong, I actually said….”

Then there was that wasteful dalliance with the EU for which we are still paying; hence VAT @ 20%!

Changing the rules and those mad men know everything is commercialised these days edition

In which we ask… modernisation, liberalisation or dumbing down?

Oh dear, this sounds serious: Lloyd’s climate warning (Financial Times)

It never rains but it pours

Flood-hit residents ‘won’t be home for Christmas’ (BBC) – but what about Gaza civilians… Ukrainian soldiers… will they all be home for Christmas?

Christmas in Ukraine is now officially celebrated on the 25th of December. This became law in July 2023. Previously, Christmas had traditionally been celebrated on the 7th of January as many of Ukraine’s Orthodox churches had historic connections with the Russian Orthodox church (Why Christmas.comThe Most Christmas Information on the Web! – about Christmas, possibly)

Ukraine moves Christmas date to 25 December in snub to Russia… Ukrainian church has traditionally observed the holiday on 7 January, in line with the Moscow patriarchate (Guardian) – so it must be true. Patriarchate – nice word, must remember that one for scrabble.

Because traditional religious and cultural celebrations are all about giving a ‘snub’ to your neighbours, apparently.

Mr AsI gets the feeling this forgotten war is somewhat culturally inspired – rather than just territorial. Invasion and domination of a population can take various forms other than the obvious tanks rolling in.

But we digressed with that shock news Ukrainian houswives had been robbed of a week’s shopping days to Christmas by this new law signed off by the (whisper it) non-Christian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy (a big score in Scrabble* other spellings are available – although other western policies as an alternative to prolonging the proxy war are not)

    * Can you have a person’s name in Scrabble? The rules of word game Scrabble are being changed for the first time in its history to allow the use of proper nouns, games company Mattel has said. Place names, people’s names and company names or brands will now count. (BBC, 2010) – modernisation, liberalisation or dumbing down, we wonder?

Apparently you can either win or lose a war, make a truce – or in the modern sense just leave it out of the news and forget about it.

“The relentless and successful struggle for their identity contributes to … the desire of every Ukrainian to live their own life with their own traditions and holidays,” reads an explanatory note to the bill on the parliament’s website. (Guardian) – careful now… only some nationalisms are to be preserved

How Guy Fawkes night is falling from favour in Britain (History Debunked, You Tube); Are We Forgetting Guy Fawkes Night In Favour Of Halloween? …many young people don’t know why we celebrate Guy Fawkes Night… In many ways, Bonfire Night has gone the same way as Halloween, with the commercial aspects of both now starting to overwhelm history and tradition (Rose Calendars)

    Digression, digression…

However, commercialisation does rather segueway us back on track to the Financial Times – and as the black character Philip in Rising Damp so appositely remarked to his landlord played by Leonard Rossiter: “Everything is commercialised these days, Rigsby”

The London insurance market has warned that the full impact of climate change has not translated into claims data despite annual losses from natural catastrophies topping $100bn (FT) – you’ll have to run that one by me again – despite the number of times the word ‘despite‘ has been deployed in our media headline reports for about the 100 billion’th time since Brexit.

So Lloyds and the FT are convinced there’s more natural catastrophies due to climate change and they deploy a big cost number – but unfortunately for their alarmist cause they admit they can’t as yet draw a graph to prove there’s an uptick – although they are convinced there must be one?

Thinking of graphs – what’s happened to our favourite frontpage FT feature Datawatch? At least the Telegraph explains: Matt is away – when our favourite cartoonist is absent. The FT just takes Datawatch awol without a bye or a leave or any explanation or apology – just like the Daily Express and their formerly bold United With The People Of Ukraine or the BBC and their Coronavirus clickable subject tab on their online news site frontpage.

The fact is that the FT news in brief report signals how Lloyds are going to use climate change as an excuse for insurance premium increases. Despite – the full impact of climate change has not translated into claims data

Just as climate change is a handy excuse for politicins to raise so-called green taxes.

Did anyone hereabouts watch that hit retro US tv show Mad Men set in the 1960s New York advertising world?

I don’t think this next pitch would have got past ace creative director Don Draper…

Pegasus Airlines take the prime ad spot on the FT frontpage with the slogan: We are 100 young and we are young… one of Europe’s youngest, most advanced and efficient fleets – featuring a fashion model quality uniformed female pilot who can’t be a day over 23

Now as a passenger one desires one’s aircraft to look brand spanking new – perhaps not experimental – but new. And we like a young pretty face checking tickets or pushing the refreshment trolly – but not so much commanding the cockpit, thanks all the same.

I’ve a feeling John Hamm playing Don Draper would have shaken his head at that presentation if it were made at his ad firm Sterling Cooper as a serious proposal for an ad campaign.

In a sequence of the show about airline advertising our Don Draper asserted that male passengers liked to see the hostesses in short skirts. Uncomfortable fact these day which we can’t admit – but true. But not so much the pilot, surely?

I’m convinced Don would have stood up from his desk, stubbed out his Lucky Strike and poured himself a stiff old-fashioned at his office drinks cabinet. Then dismissed Pete Campbell, Ken Cosgrove, Peggy Olson and the rest of the team from his office – demanding they only come back when they have better copy.

2018 … China rejects claim it bugged headquarters it built for African Union
Beijing dismisses report it put bugs in walls and desks and downloaded data from its servers every night for five years
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/jan/30/china-african-union-headquarters-bugging-spying

After the hack was discovered a year ago, the building’s IT system including servers was changed, according to Le Monde. During a sweep for bugs after the discovery, microphones were also found hidden in desks and the walls, the newspaper reported.

The $200m headquarters was fully funded and built by China and opened to great fanfare in 2012.

Modern slavery helpline calls surge from care staff
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-67151672

Just glancing through this to marvel at all the ‘omissions’ of inconvenient details in it and came across this:

‘Janet, whose name has also been changed, came from Zimbabwe’

So assuming she is a black woman, why change her name to a dull, English name ?. Why not one a bit different to reinforce her heritage ?. It’s obviously a clumsy attempt to make us think she is no different from white English women.

But the laughable thing is that the BBC idiots only changed her name for this sentence to tell us they have changed her name. It never appears again !.

Of course the Getty images to ‘back up’ this modern day slavery of women from Zimbabwe are all whiteys.

The glaring omission of course is that they don;t go anywhere near telling us who are ‘importing’ these people as slaves. Which means they aren’t white.

It took 3 of them to write this masterpiece. Here’s one of them:

    The difference in BBC reporting:

How they report a Palestinian living in a tent near a hospital:

‘Now the weather is getting a little cold in the evening, it’s a very miserable situation for those people – but they have no other option, no other place to go.’

‘So we decided to stay in the hospital. We are trying to live with a little food and a little water.’

How they report a hostage being possibly murdered by Hamas with a hammer:

‘she received images of her brother with a head wound and what appeared to be someone holding a hammer.’

Interestingly, I saw comment on social media earlier that stated that Muslims in the UK now outnumber the Welsh population. Can this be true?

According to the 2021 United Kingdom census, Muslims in England and Wales numbered 3,868,133, or 6.5% of the population.[56]

The 2021 census showed Wales’ population to be 3,107,500, the highest in its history.[6]

    Sadly it appears true.

The BBC and the rest of the Libtard establishment insist that the Palestinian conflict is a just fight for their rightful lands – a territorial dispute nothing to do with Islamic bloodlust.

Strange, then, that in all the demonstrations from the Middle East to the streets of Londonistan, one hears the chants of “Jihad” and “Allahu Akbar”, almost as if it’s a genocidal religious war hellbent on the extermination of Jews, as per a certain religious war manual.

During the media reports on the Palestinian demonstrations in London, I thought about the anti lockdown demonstrations and other non BBC approved demonstrations. They were reported as being in the hundreds or a few, generally under ten, thousand. The Current demos are 100-150 thousand depending upon which source you read. From memory, I think some of the earlier marches in the same streets were far more than reported. Funny what happens to estimates when you have agenda.

    IMPORTANT

Sorry to shout but Allison Pearson, journalist at the Telegraph and regular on GB News, has started a petition ,’ BritishFriends of Israel’ which is open for signature and I urge people to sign.
The list of the great and the good who have already done so is impressive and this will be a source of push back against the unthinking idiots who support , or at least won’t condemn out of hand , Hamas .
Equally it will demonstrate to those Jews living in the UK that we support them to the hilt. The time to stand up has come.

Bit of light relief – or not. Watching Bargain Hunt (yes, I know), which started in 2000, I started to wonder how much of our licence fee has gone down the toilet in the years since.

Each couple are given £300 (courtesy of us) to spend, and rarely are huge amounts of profits made at auction, – losses are more the norm. Thereby over 20 odd years thousands of pounds have been lost, with only the stallholders laughing up their cuff.
Other cash winning quizzes are on a win or lose basis, like Pointless, – am I being too pedantic ?

On BBC 1 pm tv news it was stated that the Met had investigated and decided no offence had occurred. The official reason given apparently was that ‘jihad’ has several meanings (and presumably by inference they could not decide on the meaning in question).
      You can’t make it up.

There are some people I’ve seen on video that look like they might have a pop a la Tottenham riots and give the Met another martyr?

This has the possibility to go downhill rapidly if the mob sense weakness.
