How about this for an idea regarding the boat people.

It’s been suggested that British Overseas Territories should be used, The Falklands and Ascension Island keep getting mentioned.
    Both are impractical.

My idea, send them all to Gibraltar to be processed.
Once there, give them the very basics they need.

If….some of them decide they don’t like it, maybe they will head out of Gibraltar (and become Spains problem)

They might decide to journey back up to Calais and try again and then we can send them back to Gibraltar again for processing. Get the picture?

I think that would stop the boats.

I don’t keep regular hours these days so I’m looking at YouTube in the middle of the night.
A Talk TV video of Vanessa Feltz talking about how she would have been blocked from attending the antisemitism march if she still worked for the BBC .
Thing is, I can remember being infuriated by Feltz many years ago when she was on a panel show talking about immigration and multiculturalism. Back then she said how amusing (her word) she found it to see people from different backgrounds in Britain. Needless to say, I thought her a typically sheltered and patronising media gob.
It’s not so amusing now, is it? Progress of a sort, I suppose.

I note that earlier someone posted about Hartley Brewer disparaging TR for attending the March on Sunday. She has the same problem that many other centre right commentators have, they recognise the dire state that we are in opposite immigration and Islamification but they want it to be solved by mutual agreement after sensible dialogue. It’s the same unrealistic thinking as with Trump Derangement Syndrome . Someone has to make a stand and do the dirty work or everything will be lost and gone for ever.
Douglas Murray falls into this category but of late he has moved a bit to the realisation that Islam simply doesn’t do reasoned argument , that is seen as weakness. Either you are against it or you are for it and if you are against then you had better be ready and strong to resist.
The option which I think many in the West believe is open to them, to say I’m not interested in religion ,I don’t care about it , isn’t available. To paraphrase Trotsky talking about the Russian revolution, ‘You May not be interested in Islam but Islam is interested in you!’

    Sick note Starmer edition

So it turns out that we’re not pot-banging any more…

Parents ‘destroyed’ after baby’s death at Royal Sussex County Hospital (BBC)

At least 20,000 annual UK cancer deaths avoidable, says charity (BBC)

Nurses react with fury over doctor pay offer (BBC)

Meanwhile, despite our fast-failing nationalised health service, the aunt sally sideshow, nice work if a KC can get it, that is our expensive, no-end-in-sight, Pro-Lockdown Official Covid Inquiry (PLOCI) provides a little more grist to the mill for the Labour-supporting Daily Mirror: Burnham’s Fury ‘Hancock know Covid policy would not work’

Surely the grand master covid expert that is our Labour leader should get the call to share his wisdom with our would-be committee for public safety, apparently so keen to publicly guilloteen a Tory on a weekly basis – until they break up for the Christmas hols? Afterall our Keir is the grand wizard covid big daddy with knobs on:

Coronavirus: Sir Keir Starmer self-isolating after household ‘symptoms’ (BBC, September 2020); Keir Starmer says he only got Covid test because his wife is NHS worker (Indy 100); September 2020); COVID-19: Keir Starmer forced to self-isolate again after staff member tests positive (Sky News, December 2020); Keir Starmer self-isolating for third time after Covid contact… Labour leader says he has no symptoms and must stay home until next Monday (Guardian, January 2021); Sir Keir Starmer tests positive for Covid for a second time (BBC, January 2022); Ending free Covid testing would be a mistake, Sir Keir Starmer says (Independent, February 2022)

    – apologies, this list may not be 100% complete. Sir Keir has tested, isolated, took the odd day off work, ducked out of PMQs, had a scare, and probably (if we can rely on the testing) had it more times than his former Corbyn cabinet colleague (lets not forget) Diane Abbott has had hot dinners.

If Sir Keir had been our PM we would have gone into Lockdown sooner, had it harder… and only ever come out of it… after Russia invaded Ukraine? Sounds about right.

But instead of consulting the main man our inquiry wants to chat with his minions: Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham also accused ministers of ‘behaving appallingly’ as he gave evidence to the Covid Inquiry along with Sadiq Khan and Steve Rotheram (Mirror) – Steve Rotheram is the Labour mayor of Liverpool – I know this may be confusing for non-British readers. It’s as though someone named Ron San Francisco were to be governor of Florida.

Mind you, Starmer’s minions get a nice big up to their egos: Mr Burnham – branded ‘King of the North’ for his rows with Boris Johnson’s government during the crisis… Sadiq Khan also warned that lives could have been saved if No10 hadn’t excluded London officials from emergency meetings… his attempts to attend COBRA meetings were repeatedly rebuffed. (Mirror)

And as our minor lefty politicians enjoy their moment in the covid limelight: US economy ‘addicted to Covid level of cash’… The chief executive of the world’s largest bank has compared a $9 trillion wave of cash unleashed during the pandemic to heroin, as he suggested the US economy was addicted to the debt (Telegraph) – slight correction: cash unleashed during the pandemic lockdown

Traditionally the NHS didn’t prescribe treatments to people who were nearly dead.
eg grandma needs a cataract operation

Now it’s much more common for the NHS to bother doing this little operation on grannies.
Thus now more die *waiting* for treatment.

        • tomo says:

The “nearly dead” assessment wrt to cataracts was one of the most cruel bits of obstructive bureaucratic rationing ever – and the NHS were effectively shamed into upping their game.

The NHS stats should be fully transparent so a few minutes clicking about should show what proportion of those deaths on waiting lists comprise of any particular procedure. I don’t blame the clinicians – the bureaucrats though … eesh…

BBC bias against Israel is getting worse and worse:

    https://jewishinsider.com/2023/11/bbc-media-bias-israel-hamas-gaza-jewish-community/

“Writing in The Telegraph last week, Danny Cohen, the BBC’s former head of TV, called for an independent review into the broadcaster’s coverage of the war, saying Britain’s Jewish community is “being harmed through its unbalanced reporting.”

“In particular, Cohen singled out Caroline Hawley, the BBC’s diplomatic correspondent, whom the Telegraph said had made numerous social media posts about the “shocking” and “terrifying” situation in Gaza — with little evidence of such expressions of sympathy for Israel.

““The BBC’s credibility with the Jewish community is reaching a point of no return,” said Cohen, adding that Hawley’s “biased, unbalanced” social media feed “reads like a series of press releases from Hamas central command.””

It has got so bad that they now don’t even bother to hide their bias, and are obviously not troubled by the one-sidedness of their reporting, Jeremy Bowen being a prime example:

    https://www.israeltoday.co.il/read/bbc-chief-not-bothered-by-inaccurate-reporting-on-gaza/

The Washington Post, which is probably the American equivalent of The Guardian, is also in the same biased boat as the BBC:

“Describing children and elderly people kidnapped from their homes as ‘captives’ is an editorial choice,” Jonathan Greenblatt, the chief executive of the Anti-Defamation League, said in a sharply worded post on X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday, sharing a screenshot of a web headline alluding to a so-called “exchange of captives” between Israel and Hamas.

“Describing inmates who committed crimes as ‘captives’ is explicit, indefensible bias,” Greenblatt added, tagging the Post in his message. “Absolutely shameful.”

This is how the majority of our media framed the story. I am sure this is done deliberately because the media hate TR and want the public to hate him as well.

A more realistic headline would be:
Tommy Robinson prevented from joining march against antisemitism.

    Or
Police stop Tommy Robinson from attending march against antisemitism.

The facts are TR is against antisemitism, he has always been vocal about it. He did not cause any trouble or do anything illegal or disruptive at the march. He wanted to support the march and report on it. He was physically prevented from doing so without provocation.

Those are the details that are newsworthy.
Not that his REAL name is Yaxley-Lennon!!! and the media think he is far-right.

    Again.

Apparently C4 is in financial trouble because it can’t get companies to advertise on it . Being a grown up with a thinking brain -I hardly ever watch C4… but when it had the tedious England footy on I did tune and noticed there were only a couple of adverts at half time – when might expect the full KFC – maccee d – just eat onslaught …

.. but then again – I suppose it caters for people without much disposable income so hard times is what it must expect . Big mistake not to sell it into the free market to be ended …

Regarding Channel 4, their insistence on using an illterate black female for continuity announcements, when the primary requisite iss obviously ability to speak English is perverse enough for me.

Although an acquaintance of mine, now no longer with us, was a legend, who had a use for channel 4.

(I could write a book about this man but no one would believe me)

An ex rugby player par execellence, commuted to London everyday, and often stayed beyond work to sample the delights of London, including fist fights wth Aussie rugby fans after refreshments and so many other “incidents”.

He would occasionally stagger into Soho and purchase some “videos”, and later, upon arriving home would feed his wife copious amounts of vodka and she would fall asleep.

He would then put on some of Sohos best offerings onto the TV , she would regain consciousness now and then and remark “what the bloody hell is that ?” or, “whats he doing to her?” etc, and he would say,

“its just that bloody Channel 4 again, disgusting isn’t it, I’m going to send a complaint tomorrow” and she would agree and go back to sleep.

One of channel 4s favourites, never gets pepper sprayed and arrested by 30 police officers for sitting and having a coffee in London…

“Frankie was investigated by the BBC Trust once again following multiple complaints for a dark joke he made about the Queen on Mock the Week.

Impersonating the Queen’s voice, he joked: “I’ve had a few medical problems this year. I’m now so old, that my p***y is haunted.”

The committee at the BBC Trust ruled that the joke was both ageist and sexist, but ultimately cleared the Scotsman of any misconduct.

Frankie poked fun at Katie Price’s eldest son in 2010, making the material one of his most controversial pieces of his career so far.

Harvey, who has partial blindness, autism and Prader-Willi syndrome, was just eight years old at the time.

During an episode of Channel 4 series Tramodol Nights in December 2010, Frankie said: “Apparently Jordan [ Katie Price ] and Peter Andre are fighting each other over custody of Harvey. Well, eventually one of them’ll lose and have to keep him.

“I have a theory that Jordan married a cage fighter cause she needed someone strong enough to stop Harvey from f***ing her.”

Frankie made a joke at Latitude Festival where he spoke about This Morning host Holly Willoughby.

In the material, Frankie made reference to raping and murdering the TV presenter, but when he was questioned about the comment during a later Q&A, he argued that the context of the joke had to be taken into account

For all the channel 4 wokes that think Frankie Boyle should be able to say what he likes:

there was a gay person in a garage that, to avoid his repair bill, said he could guess the size of any spanner that was inserted into his back passage.

They tried every size and he was right each time, so one of them got a spark plug and jabbed it up there.

He gasped and said “Ooooh, that’s Champion”

Another heap of absolutely biased bullshit from the BBC.

They are running an article headed:

“How Hamas built a force to attack Israel on 7 October”

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-67480680

This suggests that brave freedom-fighting soldiers from Hamas launched a military attack on the Israeli defence forces which is a grotesque distortion of the truth.

What Hamas really did is on the 7th. October was to instigate a murderous clandestine raid on unsuspecting Israeli civilians well away from any armed opposition and then carried out the worst atrocities possible before fleeing back into Gaza with civilian Israeli women, children and men at gunpoint as hostages to bargain with.

They thus avoided any contact with the Israeli armed forces and you could only describe what they did as the most cowardly and heinous crimes against humanity anyone calling themselves human can possibly do.

The tone of the BBC article suggests they were simply brave well-trained soldiers facing up to might of the Israeli military when the complete opposite is the truth. The civilians in Israel had no defence against these monsters.

Armed to the teeth and prepared to butcher anyone they found like thugs in the night they simply hit and ran away back to their sewers as fast as possible like common murderers and cowards.

The last time the World witnessed this sort of disgusting butchery was in the African era of Boko Haram etc. who used much the same evil cowardly tactics.

The tone of this article is a new low from the BBC and is obviously designed especially to appease it’s Muslim support base.

Greece denies promising not to raise Parthenon Sculptures on UK visit
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-67551732

Quite bemused by this sudden non-story being made the top headline in the world by the BBC. Not least that the troll farm has been engaged so the comment :

‘Sunak is such a childish and petty little man. Whatever you think, this is not the way a leader (supposedly) should behave.’

Gets 1,237 upticks and 279 downticks. A ridiculous ratio by normal Left/Right voting standards on HYS and absolutely typical of certain stories.

And of course the troll farm has been engaged because it’s clearly a BBC agenda issue. What I do find interesting is that this is not the usual ‘critical’ political story, it’s just a sideshow which the farm would normally not bother with. This tells me that the BBC ACTIVELY control it – not some activist group somewhere else.

Now I don’t care about where they are that much. But just look at the video on that page with Kuenessberg totally leading the Greek PM to say what they BBC wanted to use as a headline. They have it all prepared with video graphics etc ready to ask him the question. And the way that arrogant woman laughs while asking him is quite repulsive.

This entire story has been 100% setup by the BBC. They are interfering in Politics now at the highest level using their publically-funded resources. They have damaged relations between the UK and Greece over this.

Young Thug’s lyrics used against him as gang trial starts
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-67527707

The stand-out omission from the BBC for this article is that they don’t tell us the lyrics.

Lets see what some of them are:

“My nigger really be slime and we committin’ them crimes … hop out and shoot … you wanna be slime … go catch you a body.”

“Money longer than the world’s longest ruler, yeah, playing with YSL, nigger gon’ shoot you …”

“I just beat a murder rap, paid my lawyer 30 for that … me and my slimes above the law.”

“We be on some 2Pac shit, ‘Hit Em’ Up’ … nigger play with Unfoonk and get hogtied … nigga play with Unfoonk, then they all die … why would I lie, I got mob ties, … knockin’ off you big homie bitch.”

How dreadfully inconvenient for the BBC/BLM agenda and their ‘grammy wawrd winning’ hero. No wonder the BBC scumbags don’t want us to know.

And the finish with the most ridiculous quote in an attempt to ridicule the charges:

“If this were country music, rock music,” he told reporters outside court, “we wouldn’t be here.”

Right BBC. Because they are full of the racist, violent offensive lyrics like ‘Young Thug’ aren’t they ?.

If any white person ‘rapped’ lyrics like this scumbag, the BBC would destroy them. Just another example of the EXTREME racist double standards of the BBC and the Left in general.

@JohnC, I gave up complaining to the bbc as they refuse to accept they are ever at fault, which for any organisation is arrogance of the highest nature.

Even when at fault they refuse to accept they are at fault, a bizarre situation

I have some spare time tomorrow and as an expert in customer relations will have some fun.

All on here, forget complaining online, phone them up !! then you can show the kidults for what they are: lying, cheating millenials obsessed with trying to damage an elected government as face to face they have no defence
    .
Talk to them on the phone about your complaint, when they have no chance of fobbing you off with a bland email response, and you have the ability to show them what liars they are to their face, as I did when they lied about the “hundreds” attending a TR protest in Hyde Park.

A protest about TR banned from speaking on Youtube etc.

BTW I have never heard a racist word from that person, which is why I was there. He instead raises awareness of the gang rapes and sharia law infesting our country with no resistsance from the Government whose prime responsibilty is protecting its people.

There were many thousands, families with pushchairs, with children, pensioners, middle class England, and the only trouble came from the far left, held back in side streets shouting abuse and threats.

      Same as Nigel Zephir.

I searched for examples of where Nigel was racist and they don’t have a single example. This is the very worst they can come up with and shows just how desperate they are:

‘While at south London private school Dulwich college, Farage was active in the Conservative Party, after being inspired by a school visit by Tory MP Keith Joseph.’

‘But in 1981, an English teacher wrote to the headteacher asking him to reconsider his decision to appoint him a prefect, citing reports of fascist views.’

And that’s it. A single English teacher. Who was almost certainly as far-Left as a BBC journalist. That insignificant event from over 40 years ago while he was at school is cited on several leftie sites as their proof Nigel is racist.

‘Petty, spiteful-schoolboys’ doesn’t even come close to how pathetic I think the Left are.
