@Bushra1Shaikh is is winning Twitter attention seeking today
She’s watchd some Hamas videos and now tweeted

Oct 7th atrocities by Hamas were exaggerated by the Israeli government to garner public support for their incoming mass slaughter of Palestinians.
The perfect opportunity for manipulation but the public are not stupid.

Yet on Oct 7th she tweeted numerous tweets endorsing the attacks

BBC Scotland “Eunice Olumide : ‘I lost everything because I talked about racism’
.. silly clickbait headline, cos of course she didn’t lose everything
She merely points to a career downturn
    Later she got an MBE

From Monday, Eunice will feature in a new Netflix docuseries, ‘The Outsiders’.

It seeks to highlight the stories of black “creators” such as radio host Julie Adenuga, comedian Munya Chawawa, and the new Doctor Who Ncuti Gatwa.

Director Simon Fedrick says the show will give them a ”powerful voice” to share their stories, their truths, and their visions for the future.

‘Allies didn’t envisage this death toll’
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-middle-east-67732895

What stands out about this particular report by ‘Frank Gardner’ of the BBC is that it has shifted from reporting facts to reporting conjecture and opinion of the author.

‘It’s a very explicit call from David Cameron and Annalena Baerbock, both writing in major news papers to call for a ceasefire.’

‘This is slightly semantics about what is the difference between an immediate ceasefire and sustainable ceasefire.’

There is no ‘slight’ about it Frank. Sustainable means a ceasefire where Hamas cannot break it. Which is absolutely not the case now. You know it and you have deliberately misrepresented it.

‘So there is a real momentum internationally to curtail Israel’s military operation.’
No again Frank. They all say the same thing : Israel should try to limit civilian casualties but Hamas must be wiped out.

It’s just more misleading lies by the bucketful from the BBC. But they have dressed it up as ‘opinion’ because they don’t like the truth and this lets them lie.

‘I don’t think any of them envisaged a death toll of approaching 20,000 people in Gaza.’
Are they Hamas figures Frank ?. You know, the terrorists. And if they are, shame on you for not pointing that out.

‘There are also questions being asked internationally about the discipline and rules of engagement of the Israeli forces.’
But none being asked about what Hamas are doing to cause the casualties Frank. Shame on you again.

    Just outrageous.

The BBC often runs out of facts even before starting, so opinion and conjecture is all they have to go on.

That the ‘reporting’ of a very febrile conflict makes the choice of Frank and Jezzie’s even more bizarre and downright dangerous.

‘Calling for’ is meaningless of course, so Porky Dodger is on safe ground.

      ‘The Allies didn’t envisage…’ ?

What did they expect? A quick few counter atrocities for thoughts and prayers reasons during the news windows, followed by a decent pause and then repeat?

Some are trying to frame this as retribution, like the US was so awful at, from Clinton to now, with a brief pause not willy waving remote ordnance taking out wedding parties.

It is an attempt to neutralise a threat. Israel is surrounded by enemies, from which UN funded tunnels wind like snakes, ignored or denied by all in the MSM. And through or over these attacks are mounted, to maim, rape, slaughter and abuse. And kidnap many still held with barely a peep. Whilst JonDon lights his fag on a seared rocket launchpad he didn’t notice.

Frank’s use of BBC favoured wibble words is utterly sad. As sad as his anxiety to please his masters.

Questions should have been asked long ago about his suitability for such a role, and the answers forthcoming acted upon, for his sake and that of the BBc’s reputation.

      Too late.

        Israel’s hostage crisis. My analysis

Fran’s ‘analysis’ is from Jerusalem, and hence informed by what, exactly?

In fog of war terms, he was maimed despite attempting to demonstrate to his attackers he was on their side. Sadly they appeared unaware, or not to care. His partner was even less lucky, but beforehand worth noting…

“…continued filming for more than half an hour, against the advice of Gardner’s official Saudi Arabian government minders”

He has also garnered 70 reactions, and in comment terms (10) mostly falling back on convention/war crime tropes that Hamas is exempted from apparently.

So far I have seen nothing to suggest this was not a tragic accident caused by Hamas going across into Israel to collect bargaining chips (so arrestees in Israel being held to stop them blowing folk up is daft in counter) that it still remains a mystery as to how they escaped as they did, and stayed quiet as long as they did.

Frank’s answers to the few posts asking questions that don’t suit are suitably defensive.

Qatar is negotiating what exactly, given it is host to the guys who set this in motion and live there?

From John’s scrolling (and presumably soon ‘lost’) BBC thread, rammed with ‘says’ and appears’ and ‘claims’:

“Israel says it finds ‘biggest Hamas tunnel in Gaza so far’
Army officers walking with weapons through the tunnel
      AFPCopyright: AFP

The Israeli army says it has found the biggest Hamas tunnel in Gaza so far, only 400 metres (1,310 feet) from the Erez border crossing between northern Gaza and Israel.

An AFP photographer was granted access to the tunnel and said it was big enough to fit a vehicle through it.

The Israeli military claims the tunnel would have cost millions of dollars and taken years to construct. It said the tunnel system had branches that together covered for more than 4km (2.5 miles).

It claimed that the tunnel’s construction was overseen by Mohamed Yahya, brother of senior Hamas commander Yahya Sinwar who is believed to have orchestrated the 7 October attacks.

The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) also said it had found a large number of weapons stored in the tunnel.

An Israeli army spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hecht, says Hamas expended huge resources on the project to “serve only one purpose, attacking the state of Israel and its residents”.

The BBC has previously verified drone footage released by Hamas in October showing Israeli troops near a tunnel close to Erez. The IDF posted on its Telegram account in October that “soldiers operating adjacent to the Erez Crossing identified a number of terrorists exiting the shaft of a tunnel”.

Satellite footage appears to show excavation work in the area in late November.

      ***

Under what circumstances, given an AP photographer has shared images, can a £5B media operation not commit to factually confirming this?

How much do tunnels take to build? Worth asking a bankrupt council highways department or Highways Scotland where their budget went?

You know, I can’t recall anything on the BBC which actually criticises Hamas.

Sure they have reported certain events in a cold, clinical style – but I haven’t seen anything on the BBC which makes it clear what evil b@stards they are to be able to tie children together and burn them alive.

Yet they make multiple headline news when Israel kill 3 hostages – – in circumstances we are not being told about – as if THEY are the evil ones.

This war is making the Leftsist BBC show us their true colours – and despite what I though of them before, I am shocked at just how extreme they are. They actually support and protect terrorists because they think their agenda is more important.
They don’t care one bit how many Palestinians are killed – just like they don’t care how many black teenagers are murdered by other black teenagers.

Leftist? Perhaps, but I don’t recall them being motivated by racial hatred or anti Semitism in the Socialist / Marxist states of the previous century.

There was another group of Socialists who the BBC quite liked at the time in Germany of the late 1930s and I would suggest that it would be these people who the BBC have more in common with.

I’ve said many times Thoughful : the modern Left are the new Nazis. And the BBC are as ‘modern Left’ as you can get.

What we are seeing is their confidence growing as they get away with more and more. Where will it end ?.

I’m sure some people asked the same question in Germany in the mid 1930’s.

Zephir – I thought long and hard about a Christmas party – but I thought a better idea was to have one day when comments could only be nice – no repeats – no out of context links – and most difficult of all – trying to find something nice to say about the BBC …..
Or maybe a long thread on whether Die Hard is a Christmas film or not ….

Anyway – I’m going to noo noo early as I am flying back to Blighty after 5 weeks away … the dread …. So the new thread is going up now ..nighty night zzz
