Parliamentary watchdog Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) has just announced its pay decision for MPs in the coming year. MPs will get a 5.5% pay rise of £4,762, coming into effect from next month. That takes their annual pay from £86,584 to £91,346. Breaching the £90,000 barrier…

When you consider the salary of the DG of the BBC is £525000 it perhaps puts it somewhat into context.

He cannot be named for legal reasons.
Which is rather odd when you think about it, because Labour and the SNP want to give people like him the vote !!!!!!

Adult enough to have the vote but not to be named for killing someone.

    It’s what the socialists want.

    Correspondent

The bbc doesn’t approve of the leader of India – a Hindu called mr modi . The correspondent declined to say what her religion is – so by deduction she is a Muslim – she’d need to be in the BBC wouldn’t she ?

Anyway the Hindus seem less than happy that there are still 200 million Muslims in India . Can you blame them ? Anyway – there was a notable absence – Pakistan . I wondered how many Hindus there are in Pakistan ? And how are they treated ? I can guess – it was pretty poor and obvious anti Hindu – pro Islam propaganda …..

The human race has always been tribal… hence some banging wars back in the day. Britain got rather good at winning just before things got all easily reached and complicated, and then nukes and MAD.

What was interesting was that despite some lingering grumbles, most losers eventually accepted they lost and got back to making the home front work again. In a certain little corporal’s case, maybe he bore the grudge and made the home front work too well as everyone else twatted about.

Now though, wars are seldom declared. So, no winners or losers. That said, large sections of traditional winners’ countries… especially in the establishment, have twisted things to ensure everyone loses by seeding defeat from within.

Thanks Tony. And all who followed.

“Patrick Duffy bought his two-bedroom flat with his partner in 2017,”

    Partner? wait for it…

“He says their monthly service charge went from an initial £94 a month to £515 by April 2023 – and, two weeks ago, he was informed that it would rise again, to £646 a month.

“It’s crippling,” says Patrick, who with his partner, Lewis Ryan, owns 60% of the flat in Dalston, east London.”

A pair of poofters – what a surprise..

‘” We put our house on the market but, because of the service charge, our property is not desirable. We can’t sell our flat and we can’t afford to live in it.”

    Hahahaha
I’m sure someone wil buy it, if you accept it’s not worth what you thought.

“Lewis says the rising costs cause fear and anxiety”

“Patrick’s partner, Lewis, 40, works for the NHS. They qualified to buy the shared-ownership flat because of his key-worker status but to keep up with the bills he had to start working weekends, until the pressure took its toll on his health and he needed to take time off sick.”

    A nation of kidults.

One of those again where clicking on is likely worth it, and not just for the cat.

What the ‘UN finds’ is not helping, given their record.

Going back in history, journalists finding themselves at the wrong end of a tank gunner sight in a war zone always seem to be with the wrong folk at the wrong time.

The extremism definition means Islam will be under the magnifying glass…surely?

‘ “the promotion or advancement of an ideology based on violence, hatred or intolerance, that aims to:

    1. negate or destroy the fundamental rights and freedoms of others; or

    2. undermine, overturn or replace the UK’s system of liberal parliamentary democracy and democratic rights; or

    3. intentionally create a permissive environment for others to achieve the results in (1) or (2)” ‘

The BBC itself might find it is under scrutiny as it creates that ‘permissive environment’ in which rights and freedoms are destroyed and democracy undermined, overturned or replaced by other ideologies it supports and promotes.

Lots of huffing and puffing on the BBC this morning about this latest government wheeze…..the same BBC that is more than happy to label someone Far-Right, a Nazi, a Fascist, a dangerous conspiracy theorist, a Populist, a climate denier, a lockdown and vaccine contrarian, racist, Islamophobic or a ‘strongman’….the BBC that ridiculously linked Putin, Erdogan, Orban, Modi, Trump and Boris Johnson all in the same category as some sort of dangerous ‘strongman’ dictators.

This is of course just smoke and mirrors as anyone from the EDL will tell you given that the government actively sought to destroy the EDL, not least Tommy Robinson himself. The government also stopped dealing with the Muslim Council of Britain despite the BBC’s Jeremy Bowen reassuring us that this extremist group was a peace-loving bunch of moderates.

Amused to hear the classic Muslim blackmail line being wheeled out on the BBC today….if we don’t allow Muslims to do what they want then they will get angry, get radicalised and become violent…naturally no kick-back from the presenter.

Amused also to hear Gove wheel out the usual spin about Islam being the religion of peace and nothing to do with Islamists who, er want Sharia law imposed….Sharia law that is at the heart of Islam….and as Policy Exchange point out….‘43% of Muslims said they supported “the introduction of Sharia Law”‘.

The CAA has published the report into the failure of the Air Traffic Control system last august . It was the Russians . No actually – it was because NATS failed to plan for a small computer failure leading to a shut down . The ‘on call ‘ engineer was ‘working from home ‘. He couldn’t fix the glitch remotely so had to go to work . It took 90 minutes for him to get to the computer – by which time chaos had descended costing millions of pounds and extreme stress for probably hundreds of thousands of air travellers .

The boss of Ryanair has called for the head of NATS to lose his head …. But don’t worry – lessons will be learnt … there’ll be a ‘culture change ‘… it’s all okay … a government spokesman said ‘ please offer me a bung ‘…

    Work life balance indeed.

The BBC have whipped up a glorious construct about a Gaza hospital that aims to blame Israel for all that went on there….it tells us….

‘How gunfire and fear engulfed Gaza hospital before Israeli raid

The BBC has spent several weeks establishing what happened at Nasser, one of Gaza’s biggest and busiest hospitals until an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) raid last month.
Now, through witness testimony and analysis of verified video footage, we can show how the days leading up to the raid unfolded. ‘

Trouble is, in all its very long article there isn’t a shred of evidence that the Israelis were responsible for everything the BBC claims…the BBC certainly hasn’t ‘verified’ anything. No proof whatsoever that any gunfire aimed at the hospital came from the IDF…as they admit in one case….‘It is not possible to determine who fired the shot, and the IDF did not respond to requests for comment on this.’…and it is the same for every case…no proof the shot came from the IDF.

This is what Danny Cohen thinks of BBC Verify…

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/03/04/bbc-verify-has-become-a-tool-for-promoting-anti-israel-bias/

‘BBC Verify has become a tool for promoting anti-Israel bias’
‘The curtain being pulled back on BBC Verify itself only serves to highlight the consistent and consequential failures of the BBC’s reporting on the Israel-Hamas war.

The BBC has developed an apparent habit of accepting at face value what it is told by people presenting as Palestinian civilians or civic officials. It either doesn’t understand or doesn’t care that in too many cases these people turn out to be representatives of, or sympathetic towards, terrorist organisations.

The failure of BBC Verify’s reporting on such a high-profile and emotive conflict is not just a profound journalistic failure. The stakes are regrettably much higher than that.

The BBC’s reporting is contributing to an atmosphere in the UK in which Jewish people feel unsafe, its flawed journalism adding fuel to the fire of anti-Semitism that is glowing ever more dangerously.

It is hard to think of a more damning indictment of the BBC. ‘

The BBC informs us that the article had ‘Additional reporting by Muath Al Khatib and by BBC Arabic’s Soha Ibrahim’

We know that BBC ARabic reporters cannot be trusted to give us impartial news…

‘BBC journalists investigated for posts about Oct 7 massacre still reporting on Israel-Gaza conflict’
‘Reporters for BBC Arabic appeared to endorse Hamas action on social media, sparking ‘urgent’ action by the cooperation

BBC Arabic journalists who were subject to an investigation over “biased” social media posts in the wake of the Oct 7 attacks are still covering the Israel-Gaza conflict, it has emerged.’

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/03/02/bbc-journalists-october-7-massacre-israel-gaza-conflict/

The IDF may be responsible for everything but this article is one hell of a fishing expedition just flinging out there massive, unsubstantiated incendiary accusations in a very explosive atmosphere…the BBC adding to it and undoubtedly giving more encouragement to the hate marchers to get even more extreme and making Jews increasingly afraid to walk the streets of London and many other towns and cities.

Still notable that London’s Muslim mayor did not come out and say anything about last week’s statement that London had become a no-go zone for Jews….the same mayor whom we couldn’t get off the TV and radio when he was accusing Lee Anderson, falsely, of Islamophobia.

      How Hamas Fakes Casualty Numbers

“The numbers are not real. That much is obvious to anyone who understands how naturally occurring numbers work. The casualties are not overwhelmingly women and children, and the majority may be Hamas fighters,” writes Abraham Wyner, a professor of statistics and data science at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and the report’s author.

‘Diane Abbott accuses Tories of aiming to play ‘race card’ before election’

    https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2024/mar/13/diane-abbott-accuses-tories-of-aiming-to-play-race-card-before-election

Er…how? Frank Hester’s comments were from 5 years ago and not related to the Tories…and they were presumably released by a Labour supporter and made headline news by its allies in the media…..and we’ve yet to see any proof that Hester actually made these exact comments….the Guardian claims…and a whole whirlwind of outrage and indignation washes across the lefty media…but where’s the proof?

The irony is that it is Abbott who has spent her life playing the race card…and is doing so now….and that is the point of Hester’s comment, if he made it….the endless droning on about race and victimisation from Abbott eventually exhausts people and their patience and makes them hate her and those associated with her….it’s similar to now when Black activists endlessly vilify white people and make patently absurd claims about race in Britain that are picked up and promoted by the likes of the BBC….white people who would normally have no negative thoughts about black people suddenly get sick and tired of being accused of being racist and oppressors and start to dislike all blacks and think negatively about them. The relentless anti-White vilification is in fact doing more harm to the Black cause than good…..people will now look at a black person and think ‘they hate us, they hate our country and they hate our history’…and the likes of the BBC are largely to blame as they create that ‘permissive environment’ where Black activists can peddle their lies.

Abbott gets abuse because she has spent 40 years being racist towards Whites, saying pretty dumb things and not least being a vocal supporter of the IRA hoping that they would defeat the British…presumably by murdering as many British troops as possible. …and she complains Hester, apparently, said she should be shot. She is just deeply unpleasant and racist.

pug, Labour, the Left generally and that includes the BBC, are terrified of the Conservative Party. They worry that the Conservative Party might find some truly Conservative policies somewhere, maybe down the back of the sofa at CP Central Office and put them in the Manifesto for the General Election and that people will elect them to Government again. In addition Labour and the Left are extremely envious and jealous of the Conservative Party’s ability to attract donors which is why they want the £10 million to be given back to Frank Hester. Some sections of the MSM will keep the pressure on until the money is returned

    Remarkably uninformative of the BBC….

‘In an article for the Guardian, Ms Abbott took aim at the Tories, arguing policies such as the Rwanda deportation scheme show they intend to play “the race card” as the next election approaches.

But she also criticised Labour, insisting “racism in politics is not just a matter for any one political party”. ‘

What did she say about Labour? The Guardian reports….

‘Abbott, the UK’s longest-serving black MP, who sits as an independent after losing the Labour whip last year, said she was also owed an apology from Labour over abusive comments about her revealed in internal party messages.

Abbott said she had not received an apology from the party after a report published in 2022 by Martin Forde QC found she had been the target for abuse in private WhatsApp messages among party staffers hostile to Jeremy Corbyn, which showed “overt and underlying racism and sexism”.

“They did not actually call for me to be shot but the tenor was not dissimilar to what Hester said,” Abbott wrote. “However, to this day none of the individuals concerned have apologised to me, and the Labour party has not apologised to me personally.”’

Soooo…comments not dissimilar to Hester’s [alleged] comments.

Why does the BBC not report this?

And….‘The BBC has not heard a recording, or been able to independently verify the alleged remarks. Mr Hester has been asked whether the reported comments are accurate.’

Erm…what was Hester’s reply then? Can’t have been ‘oh yeah…busted…totally true’ can it? So what was his reply?

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, the highest-ranking Jewish official in the United States, called on Israel Thursday to hold new elections, saying he believes Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has “lost his way” in the country’s bombardment of Gaza.

Schumer, long an ally of the Jewish state, said Netanyahu risks making his country a “pariah” in world affairs.

Since Hamas killed 1,200 people in Israel in a shock October 7 attack and took about 240 people hostage, Israel’s counteroffensive has killed more than 31,000 Palestinians in Gaza, according to the Hamas-run health ministry. The conflict has displaced half the enclave’s 2.1 million people and leveled homes and buildings.

Basically saying the same things I’ve been saying for weeks, so lets see someone try and label Schumer as an anti Semite !

I have never thought the BBC was free from influence. It was always someones poltical stooge. A tool to be used (claiming independence in name only).. now all our public bodies are CORRUPT. its so bad even the Conservatives do not recognise the problem is a cancer in the body. Tony Blair made it inevitable that we followed the same path in the UK.

its been around for a while: Here is a brief history:
” In 1969, Hillary Clinton wrote a “fawning thesis” on Saul Alinsky. Hillary praised Alinsky, particularly his personality, although she did criticize him too—for not being radical enough. She thought that, at the time, his model for destroying society was too small-scale. As Dinesh D’Souza noted in his movie Hillary’s America, Hillary believed that, to work, Alinsky’s model and tactics had to be enforced by the major organs of government and society—education, the courts, etc. Alinsky originally envisioned his “revolution” being initiated and run by people on the ground, fighting the powers-that-be. Hillary’s vision was to infiltrate the government and society to the point that the “revolution” could be carried out against the people by the powers-that-be.

Meanwhile, Barack Obama’s main “job” before entering politics was as a “community organizer,” a concept created by Alinsky, who advocated his followers create divisions in society and “rub raw the resentments of the people.” In an opinion piece for the Competitive Enterprise Institute, Matt Patterson lays out the connections between President Barack Obama and Saul Alinsky. “

People talk of the “Overton Window” of permitted discourse on shows like this; a more appropriate analogy would be the “Overton trickle-filter” as a window would be too wide to describe the narrow, approved narratives permitted on this once-watchable garbage.

Just imagine what they would have done if it were Trump slurring like that.

Meanwhile we are nearly at WW3 and this senile cretin has his finger on the red button. He already demonstarted his ‘judgement’ with the blood bath of the Afghanistan withdrawal.

But the BBC are protecting him because of their leftist agenda. I have no words to describe what dirty, corrupt scum these people are. They don’t care what happens to the world : their own ideology is all that matters.

btw: It’s fine to call anybody scum. Angela Rayner – deputy leader of the next government – did it about half the population and the BBC were fine with it.

Here we are, extremism in a nutshell according to the new guidelines:

“Just Stop Oil is secretly plotting a major expansion this year so it can bring even greater chaos to the country’s streets. During a secret meeting of members, JSO’s top brass unveiled an ambitious new strategy to an audience of more than 100 eco-warriors.

The climate group ominously declared it wanted to bring about “regime change” via a “political revolution” and drew on the godfather of the Russian revolution, Vladimir Lenin, for inspiration.

As part of a revamped strategy, JSO will become part of a new organisation called “Umbrella”, inspired by the Hong Kong democracy demonstrations in 2019 and 2020 where protesters used umbrellas to protect themselves from police.

Umbrella will comprise four parts: JSO; Robin Hood, demanding “economic justice”; Assemble, a group dedicated to setting up a People’s House as an alternative to the House of Commons; and Youth Demand, designed to stand up against the “twin genocides” of the climate crisis and the war in Gaza.”

@ digg, and for the benefit of others:

“Question Time chaos as SNP chief is accused of ‘crocodile tears’ in Gaza shouting match:
SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn was blasted over his pro-ceasefire stance during a tense Question Time episode.
Times columnist Melanie Phillips tore into SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn over Israel and Gaza.

Ms Phillips, who lives part-time in Israel, blasted Mr Flynn’s demand for a ceasefire without Hamas releasing hostages, accusing him of crying “crocodile tears”.

The pro-Israeli columnist said what is happening in Gaza is “tragic”, but said Mr Flynn’s argument is “so distorted, so untrue”.

She claimed that hundreds of aid deliveries are being stopped from going through Gaza “because the food is being stolen by Hamas”, sparking light applause but angry laughter in the audience.

She blasted this reaction, saying: “you laugh because you don’t know! I am telling you”
Host Fiona Bruce intervened to cite the UN, which says not enough trucks are being let in and children are dying of starvation, however Ms Philips accused the UN of being “compromised” by links to Hamas.

When the Times columnist said there are pictures and videos proving her point, Stephen Flynn intervened to accuse the Times columnist of being “outrageous” and fumed: “If you want to talk about pictures Melanie I’m quite happy to send you some videos of civilians being bombed and slaughtered”.

She hit back that Mr Flynn accuses Israel of collective punishment, and condemned his comments on the events of October 7.

In an extraordinary personal attack, she accused the SNP Westminster chief of having “crocodile tears” adding: “Your hypocrisy is epic!”

Amid him trying to shout her down she demanded: “Let me finish! Let me finish!”

“That was merely the start. Hamas and Hezbollah have said they intend to kill every Jew and wipe out the state of Israel. If you had your way and there was a ceasefire now, there would be more pogroms and more slaughters of Israelis.

“The Israelis do not want to kill Palestinians in Gaza it’s the last thing they want. Hamas has made the Gazans into not just human shields but canon fodder!”

She sparked anger from some audience members including shocked gasps when claiming Israel is trying to prevent “a second Holocaust from happening”.

Ms Phillips added: “I don’t think people here understand!”
Turning to the audience she demanded to know: “What do you think Hamas mean when they say we wish to kill every Jew? What do you think they did when they slaughtered 1,200 Israelis and took others hostage with a terrible fate we don’t yet know”.

“Not only that they say they will do it again and again and they mean it.

Turning to Mr Flynn again she ranted: “Why do you swear at this? Why do you dismiss it? Why do you call the defence of mass murder ‘collective punishment’? Would you have called it ‘collective punishment’ when the Allies bombed Germany? You would have said it was a defence against Fascism and Nazism!”

On what planet is this considered to be the top UK headline news ?.

And of course the BBC are now doing their trick of running a new headline on the ‘racist donor comment’ every day to keep the pressure on.

On planet BBC. Where their own agenda and political bias is all they care about.

This whole affair of confected outrage about what a donor said and didn’t mean is much more than just a complete agenda-based farce. It’s a sign of how far gone the politics in our society has really is. The intolerant, nasty Left are at it again and a new form of fascism is being forced upon us.

Boris (with Cummings arm up his backside) fought against it and look what they have done to them both. They are both gone.

It shows how precarious everything is when our last hope is Trump being elected under a system rigged by these same intolerant fascists.

      …….but more seriously.
The M25/A3 is a massive strategic junction. They have reduced road capacity at the junction by 50% (two lanes down to one) creating huge tailbacks down the M25. No thought at all about some temporary arrangement. Yet you can go through here and not see anyone working. I drove along the A3 approach from Wisley and saw precisely five workmen (am I supposed to say workpeople these days?). One was in a hole, the other four were watching him! Absolutely true.
And all around my borough of Londonistan, the roads are up as budgets are used before the end of the financial year. 3 way traffic lights. 4 way traffic lights. Huge tailbacks. And no one working. It goes without saying that no potholes are being filled in.
The way roadworks are managed in this country is appalling. Another manifestation of the war on the motorist.

The news comes as Mr Sunak faces scrutiny over the revelation that his wife is not liable for UK taxes on her overseas earnings.

HA HA HA HA HA HAHBA! WE ARE ALL EQUAL!

    VICTIMHOOD!

Mr Sunak has said it is unfair to attack his wife when she is a “private citizen”, adding: “I’m an elected politician. So I know what I signed up for.”

“To smear my wife to get at me is awful,” he added.
