Smarmer. A Marxist, an Autocrat, a Liar. Smarmer’s personality is deeply flawed, a narcissist with a total absence of self awareness.

Smarmer, as a Barrister, is totally unused to being questioned. In Court, only he would have asked questions, as DPP he would have been in total control. You will see how poor his response is to being questioned. Look at his ludicrous excuses for his money grabbing behaviour, they are out of the schoolboy’s script.

Ps – not sure of the timing – but I wonder if the 1.2 million bung got this character his peerage – and where I’d the 200 million ‘wealth ‘ come from ….? Commodity dealer ? ….

Met Police considers claim Keith Vaz broke law

The Met Police is to “assess and identify what criminal offences – if any” have been committed by Keith Vaz following claims over his private life.

The Labour MP resigned as chair of the Home Affairs Select Committee after claims he paid for the services of two male escorts.

The police say no investigation has been launched. Mr Vaz has referred the allegations to his solicitors.

Government commits more funding to protect UK Muslims
The government has committed to providing UK Muslims with more than £117 million of protective security funding over the next 4 years.
      https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-commits-more-funding-to-protect-uk-muslims

This follows the Prime Minister’s pledge to provide more than £70 million over the next 4 years to the Community Security Trust to protect Jewish community sites, as part of the Jewish Community Protective Security Grant. The funding will increase security at a range of locations across the country, including schools, synagogues and other facilities used by the Jewish community.

Concerningly, recent events in the Middle East since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas conflict have been used by some as an excuse to stir up indefensible hatred against both faith groups.

Why UK can’t just return migrants to France, as Reform says

    • JohnC says:

Well MarkyMark : BBC ran an article on this very topic – which I read with great interest as I have been wondering the same for a long time.

And the BIG reason that the Reform Party claim is thoroughly disproved is …. drumroll please …

Because we have to ask France if they mind us taking them back.
And they went further by telling us it would be an act of war if we even tried.

They didn’t tell us if we had even asked France nor did they tell us if France had refused.

What is so stupid about this – and what the ‘BBC Verify’ children never went near is that if we are paying France millions to stop the smugglers, why don’t they just say we can take them back ?. It would be the best option of any to stop the boats overnight.

It’s clear France don’t want to stop them and we are paying millions for them to pretend otherwise.

We should just take them back and dump them on the beach. If France then want to take us to court for doing it, it proves how insincere they are while taking all our money.

    POLITICS LIVE:

As the debacle of releasing prisoners early, lighter sentences when they were light to begin with, and a less than 7% solved rate for all crime, we now have a serious push on behalf of women- they shouldn’t go to prison at all. The foundation for this argument often cited is the large number of women in prison for failure to pay the TV license. I heard this last year, I heard it yesterday, and fan favourite Stella Creasy made the claim on Politics Live today. The claim was unchallenged- just “hmm hmmm”.

It should have been challenged as it isn’t true. It isn’t even a little bit true. There are zero women in prison for the offence. There are zero men in prison for the offence. The last people imprisoned for it were two men in 2019. This was asked and answered in the House of Commons by Ellie Reeves (Labour).

Firstly failure to pay the fine following conviction is the offence. Secondly women are more likely to be convicted of the offence (likely due to being more susceptible to bullying goons), however not a single one is in prison.

An example of an actual woman in prison might be a better gauge. Woman released yesterday after serving just quarter of her sentence for systematically drugging vulnerable patients on NHS acute wards up to the eyeballs so she didn’t have to do any work- in her text messages she conveyed she hoped the sleep would be permanent. As usual, filthy lies and misdirection, BBC verify slow to correct Stella on her egregious error that has now become the de facto argument for not sending women to prison.

Good God. The girl was an Angel and the white male was a monster. No change there then.

‘Annette says: “He convinced Holly he’d pleaded guilty to someone else’s offence. He brainwashed her.”‘
    But not the brightest then.

Anyway, I’m not here to defend this scumbag, I’m just highlighting the extreme misandrist nature of the BBC reporters who are not named. But I guarantee 100% they are women.

The point I have about this article is once again the extreme double-standards and politically motivated two-tier reporting we get all the time from the BBC.

Because how many times have you seen Muslim men put down and denigrated by the BBC like we see so often at white males ?. Roughly none in my experience.

Yet they are BY FAR the worst misogynists in proportion to their number. They treat women like second class citizens. The Muslim woman who was burned to death on the street by her family was basic facts only and quickly dropped. We never read stories of their domestic abuse. The BBC ignore it all because they want to keep us thinking of them as ‘victims’.

THAT is how much the BBC care about their suffering. Not at all. It’s only important when they can use it for their own sexist/racist/misandrist/activist agendas.

We can’t send the illegal migrants back France. This is bull**** ! We would be breaking some international law or other. Really? The BBC must have had that Silly Serpent Springs on the verify case.

Anyway, anyone remember back in 1999-2000 when –

Old News “The EU lifted a trade ban on British beef in 1999 – but France ignored the ruling and continued its own illegal ban for seven years, while claiming their herds were disease-free. IT HAS NEVER PAID TENS OF MILLIONS OF POUNDS IN EU FINES for persisting with the embargo. President Jacques Chirac said in 2003 that the only thing Britain had given European farming was mad cow disease”.
Well I guess Chirac was looking after French interests.

In summary ‘don’t you spineless UK politicians dare stand-up for UK interests, the BBC will have a go at you, you will never be offered a gravy-train job in EU, etc’.

Vote REFORM for a possible change for the better – you won’t get anything from Labour or the spineless Tories. Listening to Talk Radio over the past few days of interviewing these ‘Tory leadership candidate’ globalist career politicians who are supposedly Conservative just shows that none of them have not taken in a single word from the traditional Tory voters and deserve an even bigger kicking next time. They are all very happy to lie to promote their career advancement – after all it appears to be the only way to get elected.

You know that war in Ukraine that’s the result of complicated European geo-politics and history going back centuries; that involves Nato, the EU, and dozens of countries? And that’s killed and maimed hundreds of thousands and that could yet trigger World War 3?

Well, it’s not really about any of that: it’s actually all about Lammy’s blackness and the alleged victimhood of his ancestors.

I wonder if the BBC will fact check his victimhood claims? Because if they do, they’ll discover that he’s descended from a mixture of Bantu, Temne and Tuareg, all of whom owned and traded slaves.

But it gets worse: the Bantu actually introduced slavery to that part of Africa!

Oh dear oh dear oh dear. I’d keep quiet about your slave owning ancestors in future, Dave old chap.

‘Col Roi Yosef Levy, then Israel’s Northern Border brigade commander for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), said as he showed me around the tunnel. “[It took] 14 years to build and only a few people inside Hezbollah knew about it.”

Had the tunnel not been discovered, Israel suspects it would have been used to launch a surprise assault on the north, perhaps to capture hostages and then take them back to Lebanon.

Hezbollah’s tunnel network is now feared to have grown even more vast and sophisticated in the four years since its discovery, posing a challenge for Israel should it opt for a ground invasion of southern Lebanon.’

This reason alone is enough for Israel to take the recent action they have to push these terrorists away from the border.

Don’t expect to see any mention of it on the BBC though. They don’t want us to know anything like this which makes the terrorists the bad guys.

Zelensky keeps banging that drum for more bigger US weapons to fire into Russia.

The Americans would be complete fools to do this.

What we have is an ex stand-up comedian who wanted to be somebody as Jimmy Cagney once famously said. Now he is doing everything he can to drag the US and NATO into a full on global war with Russia, probably nukes and all and at this point simply to avoid what will otherwise be his inevitable defeat and humiliation by Russia.

    Not really BBC

But it seems that red vindictive class based tax increases may not have the desired effect – such as raising more money for the revenue

The non don dom rule may be watered down it seems – even though anyone with money who can move their assets away will have done it by now

Then there is VAT on private education – where the state will have to find places for displaced kids – with schools being closed

Then there is the winter payments – where hopefully more old people will claim the pension credit they are due – but the take up still doesn’t seem as strong as it should be ….

Landlords will be closing down rental accommodation to reduce CGT increases thus pushing people toward state renting ….

The reds promised not to increase income tax or the thresholds – which was the easiest way of getting money .. but they’ve promised not to do it ….

I obviously prefer tax cuts and public spending cuts as well as the sell off of the BBC and NHS … with a use it pay for it approach ….

    This grey and pleasant land…

” ‘Deeply disturbing’ plans to transform idyllic corner of England into the UK’s solar farm capital will be fought ‘tooth and nail’ – with two huge installations branded an ‘eyesore’.

Both sites would be constructed in Norfolk, with one from German firm RWE due to cover 4,000 acres of farmland at five sites, making it 15 times larger than any other existing British solar farm.

High Grove’ would produce 720MW of power, which planners say will provide energy for 363,000 homes while saving 25 million tonnes of CO2 emissions over the projected 25-year lifespan of the panels.

Meanwhile, UK renewable developer Island Green Power have applied to build a 2,700-acres project elsewhere in the county, with the sprawling scheme covering a distance of more than ten miles and blighting eight villages.”

Local authorities will not be able to block the schemes because they are deemed Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, meaning they bypass the usual planning processes and the decision falls to the Energy Secretary.
