      I was interested to find that it has been observed by some that the tens of millions offered to this one and others for “book deals” is likely little more than money laundering.

      And, funnily enough the moment it is revealed that Harris had overspent by $22 million on her campaign through various corrupt payments to various friends, guess what ? she gets a “book deal” that just exactly covers it….

      Many have said that no matter how much a book sells it will NEVER make $65 million in profit…

      Obama $65 million advance

      Kamala Harris $20 million

      Bill Clinton giver $15 million

      Hilary Clinton $14 million

        Since grooming is a fashionable word at the moment – it’s a word that I recall thinking when I first came across Obamah in Africa in 2006 – US politicians often go to Africa, usually with little fanfare – that was different – the BBC (World Service) were totally drooling over him and I thought “this is weird”… he was being groomed…

        Political books are transparently a money laundering scam, ahem… often ghost written.

        Intresting to see what ChatGPT (lefty biased) makes of Bazza’s “Dreams of My Father” book.

        Absolutely true. Likewise, paying politicians or ex-politicians £100k or more for a “speech” is nothing more than a disguised bribe. Imagine how much money Theresa May would get if she went on a speaking tour where people paid for tickets with their own money!

    The Salary of a Bestselling Author:

    With a 10 percent royalty, an author who writes a book that costs $10 and sells 20,000 copies makes $20,000. In reality, most books sell fewer than 5,000 copies. The $5,000 royalty received from these sales does not provide income for even a single year, yet many authors spend years writing one book. The exceptions to these low earnings are the authors who strike it big and land a six-figure publishing deal or write a runaway best-seller, but those exceptions are rare compared to all the authors who write average-selling books.

    Forbes publishes an annual list of highest-paid authors. James Patterson topped the list for 2018 by earning $86 million between June 2017 and June 2018. A prolific writer of thriller and mystery series, Patterson teams up with co-authors and publishes several books per year. He is reported to have sold more than 4.8 million books in the U.S. alone during this period, thanks in large part to co-writing a political thriller with former-president Bill Clinton.

    Other best-selling authors who made the Forbes 2018 list include novelists J.K. Rowling, who earned $54 million, and Stephen King, who earned $27 million. All the top-earning authors have published multiple books, often in a series with returning characters. Both Rowling and King have seen their novels turned into blockbuster movies that increased their reading audience.

        I assume Jess has been to the Crossroads school of acting.

        Thousands of young girls have been raped, not threatened with rape, but actually raped. Somewhere someone posted details of one of the court cases and the physical abuse that was associated with the rapes was far beyond anything I could have imagined. If Jess was threatened, I am sorry but threats pale into insignificance compared to what actually happened to these children.

        That’s right! Always, always, always make it about someone’s hurt feelings, preferably a woman, homosexual, Muslim or brown/black. Think of la Spring’s rhetorical question, “Why do people hate me?” Do you really have to ask, Mariana!? Also Greta Thunberg, harder to attack because female and young (at the time, anyway) and ‘hurt’ by politicians ruining her future and stealing her childhood, blah blah. I can think of thousands of children whose childhoods were stolen in Rotherham, Telford, Rochdale, Derby and elsewhere.

    As its cold outside, I thought I would warm myself up by watching a global warming CLIMATE films as i have just learnt that the world was 13 degrees warmer than today. We are still in an ICE-AGE (despite what the BBC states). We are still in an ice-age… it could get colder still… and it has nothing to do with CO2…

    Its a long film but its free and you do not have to pay the BBC to watch it (as they would never allow it to be broadcast as the BBC does not do Science any more, they prefer DRAMA and Nostradamus predictions from Al Gore). The big question is why Socialists are so keen to end the Western World’s industry and why they are so keen to buy (solutions) from China, when at one time they were just as keen on Russia? And why the BBC seeks that we should never know the truth even when its obvious that the BBC are effectively in cahoots with global corporate pushing the lie. As its profitable to keep the public ignorant of the causes and offer no explanation why prices have to rise due to rationing. Food, Electric power, Goods from China will all rise in line with profits. And a nice little war to end wars at the end. The BBC drama to end it all. kaput total surrender or either Marxism or global Corporate akin to George Orwell 1984. One big global paradise.

    But first they have to convince us all that CO2 is a toxic gas. if that fails Methane, if not then Nitrogen and Oxygen is pretty dangerous, or Argon. And Hydrogen the most dangerous gas of them all, is rather friendly in the wrong hands, so much so that the public will never have any as its too expensive and explosive to store or carry.

    But for the BBC – its time is up. It cannot continue in its current form and will soon only exist in its own narrative on ‘Countryfile’ with the absurd proposal that Methane escapes from Dairy farms should be captured and taxed. And we should all eat Vegan burgers by 2030.
    Net Zero targets is full of it as is the BBC.

    If you have never watched it, its worth a watch.

    ” Jess Phillips apologises for tweet that ‘justified’ masked men’s intimidation of journalists

    I should have chosen my words more carefully, admits Labour minister.
    Jess Phillips has apologised after being accused of excusing the behaviour of masked activists who forced a live television broadcast off air during the riots.

    The safeguarding minister came under fire last week for “justifying” the actions of the men, one of whom appeared to be carrying a large bat.

    Hundreds of Muslims had formed a protective ring around a mosque amid fears of far-Right unrest.

    A man on a motorbike sped up behind a Sky reporter with three others in tow, forcing the channel to cut away from its broadcast in Birmingham.

    Richard Tice, the deputy leader of Reform, condemned the footage as an example of “two-tier policing”, only for Ms Phillips to appear to excuse the presence of the men.

    “These people came to this location because it has been spread that racists were coming to attack them,” she said. “This misinformation was spread entirely to create this content. Don’t spread it, Mr Tice!”

    Her remarks led to condemnation, including from James Cleverly, the shadow home secretary, and Lee Anderson, the Reform MP, who called on Ms Phillips to resign.

    Reflecting on her comments on Wednesday, Ms Phillips told Sky News: “Of course, I would choose my words more carefully [in the future]. I’m more than happy to say that when I make a mistake. Absolutely.”

    “Jess Phillips, the Labour MP for Birmingham Yardley, has suggested that she received priority treatment from an NHS doctor because of her decision to vote in favour of a ceasefire in Gaza.

    Addressing the gathered throngs at “An Evening With Jess Phillips”, the Minister for Safeguarding described visiting A&E at a Birmingham hospital for breathing difficulties. Luckily, given that she told the crowd she had “genuinely seen better health facilities in war zones, in developing countries around the world”, she did not have to stay long.

    Phillips claimed that she was able to push ahead of other patients because the doctor who treated her was Palestinian, and she had previously resigned from Labour’s front bench after voting in favour of a ceasefire in Gaza. “He was sort of like, ‘I like you. You voted for a ceasefire,’” she admitted. “I got through quicker.”

      Here is some brilliant positive news:

      President-elect Trump has tapped Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., perhaps the most well-known critic of the Covid vaccines, to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, which oversees the FDA. He has named Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, an author of the Great Barrington Declaration, as his choice to head the National Institutes of Health. Further, Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) told Berenson that he plans to subpoena the FDA once Republicans become the majority party in the Senate this month.

        “A former solicitor has been sentenced today (10 December 2024) for defrauding the Legal Services Commission (forerunner of the Legal Aid Agency),and making substantial gain at a significant cost to the public purse.

        Phil Shiner, 67, has been sentenced to 2 years imprisonment suspended for 2 years for three counts of fraud at Southwark Crown Court to which he pleaded guilty on 30 September 2024.

        Shiner was Principal Solicitor of the law firm Public Interest Lawyers in 2007 when he applied to the Legal Services Commission for Legal Aid funding, including for his client Khuder Al-Sweady, to make an application for Judicial Review of the decision by the Ministry of Justice not to hold an independent inquiry into the death of his nephew.

        Khuder Al-Sweady alleged that his nephew, Hamid Al-Sweady, was unlawfully killed while in the custody of British troops at Camp Abu Naji following the Battle of Danny Boy near Amarah in Southern Iraq. A number of further clients obtained by Shiner were subsequently joined to the Judicial Review.

        The subsequent independent Al-Sweady Inquiry into these allegations found ‘beyond all doubt’ that the principal allegations, including Khuder Al-Sweady’s, were ‘wholly without foundation and entirely the product of deliberate lies, reckless speculation and ingrained hostility’. The Al-Sweady Inquiry cost the taxpayer around £24 million.

It transpires that in a recent ‘in conversation’ event, Phillips rather overshared – admitting to skipping a choc-a-bloc NHS queue because of, er, how she voted on a Gaza ceasefire. When that became a secret hack to better healthcare, Mr S can’t quite recall…

    The MP for Birmingham Yardley, recounting her special treatment at London’s Kiln Theatre, told an enraptured audience of a distressing incident in which she had trouble breathing. Rushed to hospital, Phillips described scenes of chaos in the emergency department, claiming: ‘I have genuinely seen better facilities, health facilities, in war zones, in developing countries around the world.’ Crikey. Possibly a matter for the area’s MP, perhaps?

    Text book example of political posturing over the grooming gangs debate.
    Instead of relating to the issue ( why predominantly Labour councils in areas of high Asian Ethnicity turned a blind eye to child grooming) Labour instead focus on the motives of those who are raising the issue. Secondarily they raise the laughable argument that in raising the issue they are delaying progress on the issue.
    Absolutely pathetic.

    While social media and alternative news channels are ablaze with indignation and rage about the muslim rape gangs and this government’s response to them, the BBC largely ignores all that and instead acts as Labour mouthpiece by shifting the blame onto the Conservatives:

    “Pushing for a new national inquiry into grooming gangs by halting the progress of a bill aimed at bolstering child safety is “utterly sickening”, the education secretary has said.
    Bridget Phillipson told the BBC the Tory Party’s plan to bring forward an amendment to the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill “would kill it stone dead”.

    “The Conservatives have joined calls by Elon Musk for a new UK-wide inquiry into child sexual abuse, despite a seven-year independent review having concluded its work in 2022.”

    That last para implies that the ‘review’ has done its job, nothing more to be said on the matter – when in fact it was an utterly useless whitewash.

    Once again, the biased BBC are siding with their Labour and muslim chums.

      2022?

      2015 …. 10 YEARS AGO …. “The consultation will seek views on sanctions for failure to take action on child abuse or neglect where it is a professional responsibility to do so, including the option of extending the crime of ‘wilful neglect’ to cover children’s social care and education. ‘Wilful neglect’ would impose criminal sanctions for those who are found guilty of deliberate, wilful or reckless neglect or mistreatment of children. It would cover inaction, concealment and/or deliberate cover ups and would ensure that those responsible for the very worst failures in care can be held accountable. ”

    Dear Mr. Musk,

    I, and the people of my town, owe you our gratitude. For six years, we have led the campaign for a Public Inquiry into the cover-up of the grooming and gang rape of Oldham’s children.

    To this day, not a single mainstream reporter or news agency has told the full story of what powerful politicians did to those of us who refused to turn a blind eye to the industrial-scale abuse of children, not just in Oldham but across the UK. Without this platform, the truth would remain hidden.

    Today,
    @Keir_Starmer
    and his
    @UKLabour
    will vote against a Public Inquiry into this national scandal. Here are the three main reasons why:

    – To protect the block postal votes they rely on from sections of the UK’s Muslim communities to stay in power.

    – To shield senior Labour politicians implicated in the cover-up, including Deputy PM
    @AngelaRayner
    , Home Secretary
    @YvetteCooperMP
    , Government Minister
    @JimfromOldham
    , and Greater Manchester Mayor
    @AndyBurnhamGM
    .

    – To silence and demonise working-class communities like ours. They believe that by branding us as racists and far-right they can silence all opposition and tighten their grip on power.

    The Prime Minister is fully aware of what took place in Oldham. When we first began our campaign, whilst leader of the Labour Party,
    @Keir_Starmer
    came to Oldham to help support members of his team that were trying to put myself and others in prison for daring to speak out.

    Without your voice, and this platform, we would have already been defeated. For that we will be ever grateful. Thank you
    @elonmusk
    .

    Yours Sincerely
    Raja Miah MBE

    Aww…nice…the BBC really cares about the effect that migrants have on a community….or is it just a way to spin a lie about there being no problem at all with migrants?…..

    ‘As the barge is being prepared to be towed away, the BBC looks at the mark it has left on the communities of Weymouth and Portland.

    The seaside resort and neighbouring peninsula were already said to be stuck in a vicious cycle of “poor job prospects and low earnings” before the Bibby Stockholm arrived.

    This was one of the findings of a report by the South Dorset Research Group.

    Co-author Jenny Lennon-Wood said people in the area felt no-one was “concerned for their wellbeing” and were not ” being given the opportunities they should be”.

    “[Another issue] has also been a decline in public services, particularly health, so when the Bibby Stockholm was announced local people were very troubled by the idea that there might be a 500 increase on Portland where they were already fighting to save their hospital,” she said.’

    Of course there was never any need to be concerned because the illegals get priority treatment with special events thrown for them and buses to take them to town as well as instant treatment on the NHS…you don’t have to queue behind them because they’re in and out before you know it…the government hopes.

    ‘”You didn’t really see them that much. They did get their own buses and so there was a lot of them going to Weymouth. They had their own facilities down there.”‘

    LOL…the BBC just can’t help it…

    ‘Natasha Wilding supported the asylum seekers in an LGBTQI+ social group that was set up for some of the men living on board.

    “As a trans woman I understand and can empathise how it feels to be part of a marginalised community,” she told the BBC.

    “I can’t feel how they feel about being persecuted in their countries, about knowing that they are living under the threat of death if they live their authentic selves where they are.”‘

    The day what’s left of UK democracy…dies:

    “Keir Starmer is set to block a national inquiry into child grooming gangs as the Tories force a vote on the move today.

    The PM has ordered his MPs to oppose an amendment tabled by Kemi Badenoch that would trigger a new official probe.

    With Labour holding a massive majority in the House, it means the bid is almost certain to fail.

    Sir Keir – who has been fending off an extraordinary social media attack on the issue from US billionaire Elon Musk – accused the Conservatives of ‘shocking’ tactics by tagging the measure on to the wider Children’s Wellbeing & Schools Bill.

    Shadow home secretary Chris Philp said the decision showed ‘total moral cowardice’.

    ‘There will be many Labour MPs in constituencies where these awful crimes took place and where victims still seek justice. They now need to think long and hard about which side of history they want to be on.’

    Victims campaigner Dame Jasvinder Sanghera said she ‘fully supported’ a public inquiry – and warned that rape and abuse of young girls by gangs of men was still continuing.

    ‘Let’s be clear, this is still happening,’ she told Times Radio. ‘This isn’t something that used to happen. This is still happening today.”

    So far the SAS accusations are rumour and third party claims….no video nor first hand accounts. It quite possibly did happen…certainly know US SF would suggest offing someone….reason is that captives had to be handed over to the Afghans who would release them a few weeks later. When you’ve been looking for someone for a year, someone who either directly attacks your forces or is the commander who organises the attacks it’s got to be a consideration when you know they’ll be back out killing and bombing once you hand over them to the Afghans….maybe not entirely ethical but sensible and saves lives of your own troops in the end. Any difference between that and launching a missile from 10,000 ft and killing a commander in his house or someone digging in an IED? Not direct threats to you at the time but…..

    Very nice to be sat in a BBC office making these sanctimonious judgement calls.

      I read somewhere recently that flu jabs are not very effective even if they choose the right strains and I am seriously considering not having any further ones. I wonder what the cost benefit analysis shows re the cost to the NHS. If they stopped paying GPs to administer flu jabs, they might have time to see poorly patients, which might mean less strain on A&E. And if no jab has little affect on how many people get ill, it means little difference to pressure on hospitals.

    A new inquiry into the rape gang scandal would not be in regard to whether it happened but who and why they let it happen….and also a look at the scale of the scandal…Jay looking at only a few locations when it was nationwide.

    The BBC, and Labour, are pushing hard the message that Prof Alexis Jay doesn’t want another inquiry…she just wants the proposals from her own inquiry implemented.

    The BBC and Labour suddenly came up with a new line after Jay commented. Now we’re supposed to believe that the reason Labour refused a new inquiry was because it would delay ‘justice’ and the implementation of the Jay proposals…but that was never suggested until Jay spoke….the real reason is that they don’t want anyone looking too closely at Labour’s history in this and don’t want to upset they’re Muslim voters…as Jay herself said…in 2015…

    ‘Alexis Jay on child sex abuse: ‘Politicians wanted to keep a lid on it’’
    ‘she believes the Labour-dominated council turned a blind eye to the problem because of “their desire to accommodate a community that would be expected to vote Labour, to not rock the boat, to keep a lid on it, to hope it would go away.’

      UK National Debt Surpassed £1 Trillion

      Mainstream media headlines today are focused on Britain’s record national debt, which just surpassed £1 trillion, a figure that can only exponentially increase unless the entire mechanism of Government finance is overhauled. The truth however is much worse, factoring in all liabilities including state and public sector pensions, the real national debt is closer to £4.8 trillion, some £78,000 for every person in the UK.

      Curious thing that Truss wanted to drop taxes to increase growth and she was instantly slammed for that whilst Labour want to increase taxes to, er, increase growth….and the BBC is happy to cheerlead for them….despite telling us…

      ‘Higher taxes mean people have less money to spend, so businesses make less profit, which can be bad for jobs and wages. Lower profits also mean companies pay less tax.’

      …and the BBC oddly isn’t going apopletic on Labour for almost record gilt rates and higher interest rates…unlike when it happened under Truss…and bear in mind the BofE officials said the mistake they made was not to raise interest rates quickly enough…so Truss actually forced their hand into doing what they should have done…but Truss got the ‘blame’ when maybe she should have been praised….maybe.

    Cold weather is expected to spark increased electricity consumption as more people stay indoors, watch television and use their gas or electric heating.
