All we hear about at the bbc and msm is nonentities and minor “approved” talent, the groaning “Adele” and so many others with their jumping up an octave now and again to desperately convince etc etc for goodness sake…

Yet there is so much to be found,

Perhaps the BBC’s grubby far-Left ‘journalist’ Jonathan Head (known as ‘Dick’) should explain to us why we should bale these people out from the mess of their own making. Not that he cares one bit of course : this is classic BBC virtue-signaling.

It’s almost pure empathy using statements (which I’m sure he wrote or doctored himself) in an attempt to virtue signal how morally superior he is. Same as Bowen and Keane do.

Just for context, Head watched decent, innocent Thai men, women and children get blown up by M79 grenades by the left-wing Pheu-Thai government’s henchmen after they were protesting against a disgraceful amnesty bill to get Thaksin off his corruption convictions and he covered it up with the usual BBC weasel words. His description was ‘Anti-government protests which turned violent’.

The man is everything I despise about the BBC. That example is just one of many. He’s a nasty piece of work.

Stuffed Into Trucks, 78 Thai Protesters Died. Their Killers Are Still Free.

Twenty years ago, a massacre in southern Thailand fueled an insurgency that has never stopped. If no one is prosecuted for it by Friday, no one ever will be.

lol the ‘statute of limitations’ are a classic way Thai politicians evade prosecution. Many are just a few years – so they go abroad until it runs out then come back. They literally write the laws to cover them just in case they get caught.

The usual one is charges being dropped because of ‘lack of evidence’. Which is because it all disappears. Thaksin was/is one the dirtiest of all. He forces people to sign letters of resignation before he gives them a job. Then uses it to blackmail them if they cause trouble. He’s most famous for getting caught trying to bribe a judge:
‘Thailand jails Thaksin lawyers in “snack box” case’
        https://www.reuters.com/article/world/thailand-jails-thaksin-lawyers-in-snack-box-case-idUSBKK260867/

Note the lawyers got jailed. Thaksin got away scott free. That’s how it works here.

‘he said his driver had mistakenly picked up the bag with the money instead of an identical one that contained chocolates he had meant to give to court officials.’

Whilst they massacre wherever they are in the majority around the world, what do they do here when they are in the minority?

“The statistics are sobering: Home Office data ending March 2024 shows that 38% of religious hate crimes recorded by the police were against Muslims. Over 70% of young Muslims in the UK who say they experience mental health struggles, also say they have been victims of Islamophobia.”

  4. Zephir says:

I could document my “mental health struggles” with the abuse regularly received as an English born whenever visiting my relatives in a Scottish village, or the similar at various Chinese airports with my suitcase ripped apart and things missing and held behind everyone else for examination, but I can’t be bothered, because I recognise that tribalism is a natural human trait.

If you think you can change behaviour or outlook through a DEI course good luck, the vast majority do not need to adjust their behaviour in this country. In muslim countries, hmm

In this edition Mr AsI gets ‘across’ the carbon, environmental and sustainability agenda – or, in other rather more frank terms ‘our batsh*t eco-rules’

Following yesterday’s shock reports: ‘Fish disco’ row risks fresh delays to Hinkley Point nuclear plant (Financial Times); Starmer’s fish disco flap and bees buzzing after Cruiser SB crushed… DEFRA’s rejection of toxic pesticide Cruiser SB in a win for bees, but not British sugar… Why has Starmer declared war on green ‘zealots’ and fish discos? (The ENDS Report, ‘UK’s No 1 source of intelligence for environmental professionals, delivering news, analysis and reference across the carbon, environmental and sustainability agenda.’)

Now today more shock news comes in that: Turbines will be painted black to cut bird deaths (Geraldine Scott, Senior Political Correspondent, The Times)

    I see a red door
And I want it painted black
    No colours anymore
I want them to turn black…

    Maybe then, I’ll fade away
And not have to face the facts
    It’s not easy facing up
When your whole world is… Green?

[apologies to The Rolling Stones, 1966]

EU will stick to its world-leading climate goals, even as it prepares to dilute some rules to soothe industry – the FT there with ‘even as’ a quaint little variation on the now all too familiar journalistic ‘despite’

BP went ‘too far, too fast’ over net zero… The chief executive of BP has admitted (Telegraph); BP returns to its roots in oil and gas after ‘misplaced’ optimism for green energy (FT)

But it’s all right now, in fact it’s a gas
But it’s all right, I’m jumpin’ jack flash
    It’s a gas, gas, gas

    [The Rolling Stones, 1968]

Wind turbines will be painted black to stop birds flying into them in a bid to cut the number being killed by the blades. The Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs launched a government pilot this week (Times)

Seems there’s somewhat of a wind of change that’s a-blowing through the West.

The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind

    [Bob Dylan, 1962]

The mildly conservative Telegraph boldly risks transgressing against the all-pervading ‘safety first’ regime: I’m happy to serve my guests food that’s out of date Prue Leith (Telegraph)

Mick Jagger, in his Jumpin’ Jack Flash persona, claimed to have been raised by a toothless, bearded hag…

Meanwhile, our delightful, charming deputy PM

Angela Rayner is right to criticise our batsh*t eco-rules…Last week, prime minister Keir Starmer cited the now notorious case of the HS2 ‘bat shed’ – a £100million tunnel built to protect a colony of Bechstein’s bats… The bat species in question is not endangered globally, and nor is there any evidence that trains would interfere with them. But according to the UK Treasury, any legal challenges that could arise from failing to protect the bats would be even costlier than the £100million price tag for the batshit bat shed. (Spiked)

Sometimes these segueways tend to write themselves…

Wuhan lab scientists in ‘ominous’ research… Chinese scientists… new experiments similar to those that may have triggered the Covid pandemic… found a bat coronovirus that can enter human cells… testing in human transgenic mice. (Telegraph)

Quick edit required: new experiments similar to those that may have triggered the Covid pandemic LOCKDOWNS which were a policy choice

But as they ease off – as dire economic needs must – on their Net Zero claptrap… work continues on the regime-driven tech-enabled total surveillance state…

Police to access drivers’ personal details… under Labour’s new crime law… 50 million motorists’ data held by… DVLA… names, addresses, date of births, photographs, endorsements, convictions, relevant medical information… to help the investigation of other crimes… Big Brother Watch… opening the door to the creation of a massive facial recognition database (Telegraph)

      Babies Born with Serious Conditions
It has been known for some time that birth defects, also known as congenital anomalies, are a major cause of illness and disability including infant mortality and that their incidence varies across ethnic groups in the UK. Other studies in the last 20 years have considered consanguinity (marriage to a blood relation), as a cause of birth defects, but these studies weren’t able to rule out other potential risk factors, particularly the effects of deprivation.

What we are doing about it
The study is the largest of its type ever conducted. The team examined detailed information collected about more than 11,300 babies involved in the Born in Bradford project.

Iqbal Hussain Mohamed is a British independent politician, engineer and IT consultant who has served as the Member of Parliament for Dewsbury and Batley since 2024. Mohamed defeated Heather Iqbal [no relation(?)] of the Labour Party whilst campaigning on a pro-Palestine platform:

“However, the way to redress this is not to empower the state to ban adults from marrying each other, not least because I don’t think it would be effective or enforceable”

Not enforceable? You mean because you are aware that certain UK resident communities tend to ignore our British laws?

“By law women are not allowed to be heard outside their houses, although in practice this is not being strictly enforced. Teenage girls are prevented from accessing secondary and higher education. Women are barred from many forms of employment. In December, women training as midwives and nurses told the BBC they had been ordered not to return to classes.

While women continue to be visible on the streets of cities like Kabul, they are required to wear a face covering.”
