Weekend 7th March 2026 IRAN

The Iranian State Broadcasting Corporation – previously called the BBC continues to pump out propaganda from the Iranian regime … it’s as though the slaughter of protesters a few weeks ago never happened and the Trump Derangement Syndrome is extreme .

Behind the paywall on the Daily Mail is an article suggesting what the Iranian battle is truly about. It is a long article but begins as below.

“Everyone is missing what the Iran war is really about

The war in Iran is threatening to split the conservative movement, dividing it between those who see it as Donald Trump’s breaking of a promise against new wars and those who see it as a necessary confrontation long overdue.
Progressives, predictably, frame it as another Middle Eastern adventure driven by Israel. Anti-war libertarians call it regime change in a new dress.
And across the world, from Brazil to Beijing, London to Karachi, the argument is the same: America is fighting Israel’s war.
But this isn’t true. And the confusion matters, because if you misread what this war is actually about, you will misread everything that follows.
This is not a war about Israel. This is not a war for Israel’s sake. Israel is a beneficiary, a capable and willing local partner, but it is not the reason America is in this fight. America is playing a much bigger game, about more than what happens in the Middle East. The subtext, that Israel exercises outsize influence or ‘drags Americans into wars they don’t want’ borders on the conspiratorial.
This isn’t one war, but two. There is a regional chessboard, on which Israel, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the other Gulf states all play. Iran’s proxies, its drones and ballistic missiles, its nuclear ambitions, its funding of Hezbollah and the Houthis. All of that belongs primarily to this smaller game. Israel has always understood this board. So have the Saudis. So has everyone in the neighbourhood.
But there is a second chessboard, vastly larger, on which the United States and China are the primary players. On this board, the central question of the next 30 years is being worked out: whether the American-led global order survives, or whether China displaces it. Every American foreign policy decision, from the pivot to Asia to the tariff wars to the posture in the Pacific, is ultimately a move on this board.
America is in this fight because of China. Specifically, it is about dismantling the most significant Chinese forward base outside of East Asia.”

As I understand it – 50% of the Hormuz oil goes to china – so it will really hurt them – although I suppose they’ll replace if from Russia as a favourite

The msm is in full panic mode with state borrowing costs heading up – oil price hitting $100 – mortgage rates going up to finish off the housing market .

I was trying to calculate the ‘half way ‘point for the TTK regime and guess it must be late summer 2026 – so – if elections are still allowed – they’ll be on the down ward journey to oblivion …

China could stop the war tomorrow or today…. “Iran earned $35.76 billion from oil exports in 2024, though much of that trade reflects geopolitical alignment as much as market demand. China took the lion’s share, accounting for over 90% of exports, or $32.5 billion.”

Did I hear today on GBNews that there is to be an anti-Islamist czar and with it a definition of anti-Islamism will be introduced. Who gave permission for the Iftar to be held within the Houses of Parliament? Last year there was one held in St George’s Chapel and it didn’t go well with some parts of the British community. I haven’t heard of a Seder (Passover meal) being held in either place.
I have seen film of the man who couldn’t pay for his own spectacles having his arm stroked by the ambassador of Palestine (the country that doesn’t exist) as the ambassador came in close and whispered in Sir Keir’s ear. It was weird. I had hoped it was symbolic rite that occurred at the Itfar. Australian Sky didn’t give that explanation and nor anything in the comments. I am wondering if it was connected to the appointment of the Islam czar. Whatever, it was very weird.

You have to wonder at the BBC’s intent as it exaggerates and hypes battle damage…which is part of any war but the BBC presents it as if one, it was targeted deliberately and two, it should never ever happen…which is simplistic and naive and dishonest….and dangerous as it primes the pump for the anti-American, anti-Jew extremists which result in attacks here and of course, as intended by the BBC, ramps up the anti-war[pro-Iran] rhetoric….markedly less concern for the maybe 40,000 Iranians slaughtered by the Regime or indeed any of the civilians and infrastructure deliberately targeted by the Iranians in other countries.

    LOL….you couldn’t make it up….but the BBC can….again…..

‘The BBC mistakenly altered a speech by Pete Hegseth on the war in Iran, making him appear to say the United States was targeting the Iranian “people”.

BBC Persian, which broadcasts to audiences inside Iran, mistranslated remarks by the US secretary of defence, telling viewers Washington was bringing death to the Iranian “people”.

In fact, Mr Hegseth had said the Iranian “regime” was being targeted.

The mistake was seized upon by pro-Israel media campaigners, who claimed that it cast doubt on the BBC’s impartiality. It also triggered a backlash on social media.

Thamar Eilam-Gindin, an Iran expert and Persian linguist at Haifa University, said the BBC had “fundamentally altered the meaning” of the address.

“By mistranslating the English word ‘regime’ into the Persian word ‘mardom’ —meaning ‘people’—the BBC’s Persian service fundamentally altered the meaning of the US secretary of defence’s speech, making it appear as though he were attacking all Iranians rather than the Islamic Republic.

“Among members of the Iranian diaspora in the West, with whom I am in regular contact, this incident reinforces what they perceive as a long-standing pro-regime editorial line at BBC Persian.”’

A pro-Iranian regime editorial line at the BBC….who’d a thunk?

Strangely enough, not reported by the BBC – never mind opened for HYS.

‘Just a few days before your first emails the MP David Amess was stabbed to death in his constituency,’ he said.’

What a strange thing to say : Amess was murdered by a Muslim terrorist. Nothing to do with emails or politics.

It’s the weekend, so there’s no giveaway adsheet Metro, to come along with one of their recent Starmer-friendly headlines for our BBC to push to the top of their online news page print press line-up.

When in doubt, stick with the old familiar, eh?

The Guardian provides our BBC with their favourite front page of the day – that organ getting onboard with the mainstream personalisation of the conflict and re-branding of the Iran war as “Trump’s War”

Our BBC summarises: Most of Saturday’s papers continue to focus on the US-Israel conflict with Iran. The Guardian leads on US President Donald Trump demanding Iran’s “unconditional surrender”

It may be emotive heart-rending stuff – but unsubstantiated unattributed Gruan reporting from Tehran is naught but anecdotal: ‘As we parted in a park overlooking Tehran, one of them said, by way of goodbye, don’t die’ An anonymous citizen in Iran

Hearsay, or as the non-lawyeristic might say – gossip.

And the cynical might term your Saturday Gruan read – left-liberal empathy porn: The ding of half a million phones, a collective gasp: in an instant, 500,000 people had been declared homeless. Dispatch from Beirut (Guardian)

Given the recent Mossad-inspired exploding Hezbollah pagers and walkie-talkie incidents, if one were living in Lebanon and all the cell phones suddenly started bleeping in unison, I think I’d join the collective ‘gasp’.

    Elsewhere in the news…

Tell us something we don’t know: Adams identified as senior IRA commander in court files… Gerry Adams… member of the IRA’s Army Council (Telegraph)

There’s a widespread trope that if, in 1940 we’d lost the Battle of Britain, we’d now be speaking German.

    Apparently, we needn’t have bothered…

German media giant takes over Telegraph… is to be acquired by the German publisher Axel Springer for £575m in a surprise raid (Telegraph)

Kraftwerk, if you can get it

UK Eurovision song to be sung in GERMAN and criticises British culture as ‘boring’ (GB News); UK entry ist gut… Ja? Eurovision easy as Eins, Zwei, Drei… We’re going to gewinnen Eurovision with a UK entry called Ein, Zwei, Drei (Daily Star)

I suppose we’ve done the whole gay, androgynous thing to death and it got us nowhere in this daft competition.

    Vereinigtes Königreich… Keine Punkte!

The song also appears to take a swipe at elements of British culture. In one part of the song the lyrics read: “Counting in English doesn’t cut the mustard. So sick of munching roly-poly with custard. I’m so bored with it, bored with it.” (GB News)

Eurovision is of course a quintessentially BBC project: The song receives its first radio play, with an exclusive first interview from LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER, on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on Friday 6 March on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds. (BBC)

Elsewhere in the track, the singer expresses the drudgery of everyday life, opening with the lines: “So sick of doing the whole 9 to 5. I pay my dues, I’m just staying alive.” (GB News)

Your Mr AsI contends that Lockdowns demoralised the British workforce.

What else do we have in the papers?

With all the Epstein files focus on lefty heros Bill Clinton and Peter Mandelson the in-the-tank-for-Labour Daily Mirror is desperate for Donald Trump to be implicated with Epstein: Democrats in move to force President to testify

The liberal globalist FT is now onboard with the “Trump’s War” nomenclature: What Trump’s war means for the Middle East

“England swings like a pendulum do. Bobbies on bicycles, two by two”…

This quaint old song from the 1960s kept running through my befuddled old brain when I visited London last week. I always go to St James’s Park at this time of the year to enjoy and photograph the spring flowers. They really are a delight.

Sadly, the same can’t be said for the rest of our capital. Some of it looks like we’re on a war footing. There are bollards, gates and armed police all over the place. It’s quite unpleasant and unnerving.

I had my little dog with me and we trotted round to the entrance of Horse Guards and caught the changing of the guard at mid-day. This is something I remember doing with my dad when I was very young and being hoist onto his shoulders to get a better view. It’s changed a bit, I’m afraid…

There was an armed policeman in attendance the whole time, eyeing the crowd with deep suspicion. He was carrying some sort of machine gun and was in full body armour. This fellow was far more paramilitary than policeman. Blimey, you’d never ask him for directions…

“Bobbies on bicycles, two by two”. Not anymore I’m sad to report.

And as another of my favourite old ballad says,

“Those were the day my friend, we thought they’d never end.”

    Well, they’ve ended…

BBC Spotlight program that he sanctioned a 2006 murder. Adams successfully sued the BBC for libel, winning €100,000 in 2025, with the jury rejecting the broadcaster’s defense of its claims.’

Wonder if the BBC can get some of its money back….or indeed if Adams faces prosecution like so many British soldiers….

    Telegraph to day….

‘Gerry Adams was senior IRA commander, official files claim’
‘Diplomatic cables identify Irish republican as member of IRA’s army council

Gerry Adams was identified by Sir John Major as a member of the IRA’s army council, according to US files seen by The Telegraph.

In a diplomatic cable, the then prime minister is reported to have said that Mr Adams was on the council, which directed the activities of the paramilitary group. Another memo also identifies Mr Adams as a senior IRA commander.

The documents have come to light ahead of a High Court claim against Mr Adams for his alleged “senior and pivotal role in the Provisional Irish Republican Army”.

Mr Adams, the former president of Sinn Féin, has always denied being a senior commander in the Provisional IRA (PIRA) and as recently as last year won damages against the BBC for libel.

Sir John reportedly told Ms Albright: “Adams and McGuinness were both on the army council and had been so for many years. The idea that the military wing acts without the knowledge of the political side is fanciful. They all knew and all set the strategy together.”

In another document, contained in the National Archives in Kew, west London, Mr Adams was identified as a senior IRA commander who had been involved in the “violent activities” of the PIRA.’

The BBC is playing it safe…it hasn’t reported this latest revelation.

“Leftists have been trying for years to fool the public into rejecting the voices of those who dissent from their agenda by posing as neutral “fact-checkers” purporting to identify “fake news.” What they are really trying to do is not ensure the accuracy of news reporting at all, but to silence and destroy those who tell the truth about things they lie about or uncover what they want to conceal.

One of the foremost exponents of this ongoing scam is NewsGuard, a particularly sinister initiative of the hard-left self-appointed news arbiter Steven Brill. During the dark days of the Biden regime, which was the authoritarian threat that leftists pretend that Trump is, NewsGuard received $749,387 from the Department of Defense.”

The UK government is set to introduce an “anti-Muslim hostility tsar” as part of a new community cohesion strategy titled “Protecting What Matters,” leaked in early March 2026. The 47-page strategy includes a new definition of Islamophobia, a crackdown on extremism, and identifies Islamism as a major threat

Key Aspects of the Leaked Strategy:
The Tsar: A “special representative” will be appointed to lead efforts against anti-Muslim hatred.
    Funding & Focus: Approximately
million will be allocated over a decade to 40 areas.
Controversy: The draft, which also addresses anti-semitism, has faced criticism from the right for potentially creating “two-tier justice”.
Key Phrase: The document reportedly describes national symbols, like the Union flag on lamp posts, as “tools of hate”.

The well-informed readers on this site will have heard many reasons why it was right for Trump to attack Iran, and to do so now (apart from the barbarity of the regime towards its own people, considerations of geopolitics, oil, Russia, China, etc).

But there’s one reason that commentators aren’t talking about, perhaps because it requires a certain understanding of Islamic theology.

Gavin Ashenden explains it at some length below, but the short takeaway version is as follows:

Iran is a Shite Islamic country, but not just any old Shite Islam, but something even more bonkers called “12er Shi’ism”.
I’ll spare you their deranged beliefs, but here’s the relevant bit: they believe that the final successor to MooHamMad will appear at the end time to usher in an era of Islamic dominance over the whole world.
He’s known as the Mahdi or Muhammad al-Mahdi. But before he can appear, there will be an apocalyptic time of great turbulence, and furthermore it’s the duty of muslims to speed up his re-appearance by triggering mass disruption and war.

Now, imagine an Iran with nuclear weapons, and with a psychotic, fascistic theocratic regime who consider it their religious duty to start WW3.
So far, nuclear war has been averted by the MAD doctrine of Mutually Assured Destruction. But imagine a regime that’s not bothered by mass destruction, in fact actively wants it!
It would be the equivalent of a deranged suicide bomber, but on a global scale!

So the lunatics had to be stopped before they got nuclear weapons.

PS. In a few days, cowardly, treacherous Smarmer and his rotten party of islamists will increase restrictions on criticism of Islam (or Truth, as it used to be called). Please share the vid below while you still can.

Leaked Labour Government “social cohesion” strategy officially labels flying the Union Jack, English and Scottish flags as dangerous “tools of hate” used by the “extreme right” to “exclude or intimidate” people!

The shocking 47-page draft claims symbols of national pride have been weaponised – while pouring £800m into fighting “Islamophobia” and appointing a special anti-Muslim tsar.

Starmer’s Britain: where loving your own flag is now suspicious extremism.

They’re waging open war on British identity itself. Absolute madness.

“For many living in the UK, the changes brought about by mass migration have been too much, too quickly, leaving people feeling as though they are losing their local and national identity,” it notes.

Calling integration “a two-way street”, it says, calling for “respect for different cultures” and that “newcomers have a responsibility to engage with and embrace what it means to be British”.

For many living in the UK WHO WERE NEVER ASKED

The definition will, however, still condemn “the prejudicial stereotyping of Muslims, as part of a collective group with set characteristics, to stir up hatred against them, irrespective of their actual opinions, beliefs or actions as individuals”.

~WANKER OF THE WEEK (WE MAY HAVE TO RETIRE THE TROPHY): The British Prime Minister takes time out of his hectic schedule of undertipping his Ukrainian rent-boys to hold press conferences announcing ostentatiously that, whatever’s going on in the news, he’s got nothing to do with it, whether it’s bombing Iran or shagging Bonnie Blue. However, his Deputy PM, one David Lammy, is fully geopolitically engaged. Here he is demonstrating how up to speed he is on, er, foreign affairs by pledging to defend a, er, British military base – RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus, which has come under drone attack by Iran. Says the Deputy Prime Minister:

The safety of that base is also essential. It’s not just a base that serves the United Kingdom, it serves the region, and of course we work very much with our allies because Cyprus is a Nato country.

Er, Cyprus is not in Nato. But maybe he’d been up late with Kamala Harris…
