My favourite local charity shop is for dogs in. Shri Lanka ( not kidding ) the chap who ‘man’s ‘ it ( exclusionary hate language ) tells me of the Eastern Europeans who regularly steal from it .
He’s on his own and the CCTV is crap – plod can’t be bothered – even when a theft might be £6k jewellery … Like many operations – valuation is by eBay so the chance of a ‘bargain ‘ is very limited … the future of thr charity shop is extremely limited and unlikely to make it to the next election
