On the last thread some comments were about getting books from charity shops.
One of the advantages of getting older is I can read a book and then, a few years later can read it again and still enjoy it.
I have the complete Flashman set and the complete Tom Sharpe set plus a fair amount from Orwell and the likes of Huxley. I get to read the lot every few years and although the plots are in my memory I can still enjoy them.
A bit like watching a good film after a few years (Life of Brian, The Graduate, Blazing Saddles etc)
Something for the ‘young’uns’ on here to look forward to.

Couldn’t remember very much, but there again, it was several years ago that I first saw it!
I was just watching Plank of the week on YouTube. Chloe Dobbs nominated wee Nicola. They showed a clip of her on Laura Kuenssberg explaining how she couldn’t see the ‘small’ motor home that her husband purchased. The camera kept panning back to Laura. She didn’t look as if she believed Nicola either.
Smug Jamie Oliver once advocated for more migrants (to work cheaply in his restaurants).
Well, his wish has been fulfilled, and lots more migrants have moved to a camp near his multi-million pound house.
However, our Jamies is not too pleased, and is now hiring extra security to protect his home and family.
Nothing – but absolutely NOTHING – gives me more pleasure than woke libtards hoist by their own petard.
