    Hey Der Starmer

I have got a cunning plan for you to solve the under-16 phone crisis that you have got your panties in such a bunch about …

Move all handsets back to 2G !!!!!

Nationally this would save 524 MW of electric power (handsets + infra)

Mobile phones would have seven times the standby time.

No need to have a bullshit arrest of Tommy at the UK border as a smartphone would not work.

Automatic exclusion of everybody with a mobile from social media.

No more meltdowns from OAPs who can’t use complicated phones.

Escalatory behaviour and patriotic outpourings edition

In which we encounter big spending vibes, small spending commitments

It’s Ruskie Warship Wednesday, folks… as the mainstream headlines go wall-to-wall alarming over what we eventually find, deep down in the depths of the small print, is officially classed: Military sources played down the encounter as a “nautical incident”… (Telegraph)

I guess it’s a broad sliding scale – with the sinking of the Titanic and the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbour at one end of the “nautical incident” scale and: Unarmed British yacht warned by frigate… (Telegraph); Vlad fires on Brit OAP’s in Channel… Shots at Alan, 71, & Jane, 69 (The Sun) – at the other.

Gosh, but there’s a lot to unpack here. Firstly of course, how come on the one hand our authorities tell our media all about it so as to make a big splash over this and on the other hand they pour oil over the same waters they just troubled? Military sources played down the encounter as a “nautical incident” rather than escalatory behaviour by Russia, suggesting the fault lay with the pleasure boat (Telegraph)

The Love Boat was an American romantic comedy-drama television series created by Wilford Lloyd Baumes that originally aired on ABC from September 24, 1977, to May 24, 1986. – thank you, Wiki.

Off the bat, I will say headlines tend to lose me at the word “Brit”

Admittedly, given the current official outlook on flags, that massive Union Jack spinnaker sail (that’s the big bulging coloured one at the bow) as revealed in pics of the yacht, was a clear and present provocation.

Flag row in Birmingham: St George’s and Union Jacks ‘could put lives at risk’, council says… workers began taking down scores of St George’s Cross and Union Jack flags attached to lampposts by residents… Described by locals as a “patriotic outpouring,” flags have appeared on houses and streetlights… (LBC)

It was a wise man who once said – when BBC staffers are free to speak their minds outside of the restrictions of in-house impartiality, they come out with exactly the views we had always expected of them…

David Dimbleby I broke the news of Brexit to Britain – 10 years on, we still haven’t seen a single benefit (Indy)

Yep, now he speaks his mind, when he was on BBC TV it was a just his glum expression that spoke volumes.

Brexit disappointment tends to segueway with: Taxpayers subsidise French bills under clean energy deal… payments expected to surge under Sir Keir Starmer’s EU reset deal. France can buy cheap wind power… subsidised by British taxpayers, because of “wasteful” rules that allow suppliers to sell surplus energy abroad (Telegraph)

It’s a constant bugbear of Mr AsI that the FT purports to both impress and bamboozle readers with its cryptic overly verbose headlines: Fiscal brass tacks box in Burnham’s pitch to voters (FT) – I mean, seriously…?

A tad more alliteration there and you’d have a script worthy of The Good Old Days compère, Leonard Sachs.

Challenge accepted.. Budgetary brass tacks box in bodybags Burnham’s by-election bond with balloters – I thang you!

Your Mr AsI characterised Captain Scarlet’s manifesto as being somewhat in the nature of offering the moon on a stick. The leftward friendly FT column headline with that cryptic crossword puzzle-like construction tends to concur as the corporate market watcher begins to cosy up to the prospective PM: While his pitch to voters is bold, his plans are actually far less costly, say experts, with one calling his approach ‘big spending vibes, small spending commitments’ (FT)

Which tends to segueway neatly with Labour defence spending plans…

As Starmer’s G7 visit is overshadowed by claims his defence plan is ‘well short’ of what’s needed to keep Britain safe (Indy)

A very curious playing down of the yacht-Russian warship event by our Government. There is absolutely no justification for this Russian ship to open fire close to a pleasure craft in any direction at any time for any reason. It’s grossly improper.

Radio calls (assume Ch16) , Horn blasts *and* flares … – me, I’d have given the naval vessel several hundred metres clearance at sea – minimum. I wonder how close they actually got?

Power-driven vessels (including ships) must give way to sailing vessels in open water when risk of collision exists. Sailing vessels are “stand-on” and should maintain course and speed.

however – the sailing vessel’s AIS seems to have been not working (was later) and while the Russians might have been expected to maintain a radar watch esp in fog, – the yachters mightn’t have had a decent radar reflector (plastic boats tend not to show well on standard navigation radars) and come as a surprise to the frigate’s crew…

I’ve been in collision situations where the colliding vessel has had flares bounced off the wheelhouse (nobody there) – they eventually got quite snitty about the scorch marks.

Moggiemoo – the yacht should’ve had their AIS turned on and been keeping a deck watch especially in the channel + had their VHF turned on+volume up.

Looks like pisspoor situational awareness by leisure boaters from here…

Not that long ago P&O ferry Pride of Bilbao (en route from Portsmouth to Bilbao, Spain) either collided with a yacht or passed so close that its wash swamped/capsized it. The yacht sank, and all three crew died.

The jury accepted that the yacht was not clearly visible on radar and that the bridge team was not aware of the close-quarters situation in time.

Worse things happen at sea, the saying goes. It’s a dangerous place.

AIS is not a requirement of Collision regs for leisure craft. It’s being claimed the yacht’s AIS wasn’t on, how would we know? The AIS web sites rely on mostly amateur shore based stations picking up the signal and sharing them via the internet. The yacht was 20 miles out, beyond the range of a lot of UK shore based stations.
It’s claimed by the Russians that they called the yacht on VHF 16.
An ex RN officer has pointed out that the Coastguard would have picked up the VHF warnings, also any other ships/boats within about 10-15 miles. Has anyone come forward to confirm the calls were made?

            Spire Global 100
            Iridium NEXT 58
            ORBCOM 18

… and dozens more, overall , 250 is now the most often quoted number.

            Elsewhere…

“All radio and telephone traffic to and from The HM Coastguard Service is recorded for the purposes of public safety, preventing and detecting crime.”

This applies to all communications on VHF (including Channel 16), MF, and working channels used during incidents. ( ~163 remote VHF aerial sites)

            – so clearing up who did what, when should be pretty straightforward.

You know how we all pile into Question Time accusing it of being fixed ?

    Well this from the DT

STARTS Small-boat migrants who appeared on a controversial episode of Question Time were placed there by campaigners, The Telegraph can reveal.

The episode, filmed in Dover on Dec 5, featured two asylum seekers who confronted Zia Yusuf, Reform UK’s then-policy chief. One was an Iranian who read out a prepared statement about the value of international law protecting refugees.

It prompted an angry response from Mr Yusuf after the show – in which he accused the BBC of an “ambush” – and more than 1,000 complaints from viewers.

The Telegraph can reveal the two asylum seekers were placed and coached by Imix, a charity that seeks to “build support for migration”.

Their appearance was overseen by Jenni Regan, Imix’s chief executive, who was also on the show and was selected to ask a question, during which she warned against reductions in migration.

spokesman for Reform said: “It is no surprise that the Question Time: Immigration Special sparked so many complaints. The programme represented a clear failure of impartiality, editorial judgment and audience selection by the BBC.

We are seeing an increasingly blatant pattern of bias and prejudice from the taxpayer-funded broadcaster.

“The question remains as to why did the BBC think it was appropriate to give a national platform to men who entered Britain illegally, allowing them to lecture the British public and attempt to manipulate opinion on the immigration crisis?”

    Charity targets ‘persuadable’ audiences
Imix is one of several “narrative-change” charities that are seeking to shift British public opinion on migration. It arranged for the migrants to appear at the invitation of the BBC.

The charity seeks to use current-affairs programming to “target ‘mixed middle’ or ‘persuadable’ audiences”.

The Question Time appearances were part of a long-term campaign to persuade the public to support migration. The charity celebrated it as an opportunity to “test some of our messaging directly”.

Ashraf, from Afghanistan, was the first of the two migrants to ask a question on the Dover show.

Fiona Bruce, the presenter, appeared to introduce him in full knowledge of his migration history as a Channel migrant who had since been granted refugee status

Ms Bruce asked whether Reform would be willing to deport men who had arrived in Britain illegally, such as the “real people” in the audience.

Later in the show, Ms Bruce called on an Iranian man in the audience, Alireza, who read a statement from his phone, arguing that leaving the Refugee Convention would be harmful to the rights of British people, not just refugees.

Ms Regan, who organised the appearances, was also chosen to ask a question. She said she made no distinction between legal and illegal migration, then argued that cutting migration would lead to “poorer services, longer waiting lists and few staff”.

The charity boss – who is also a volunteer for the RNLI on the Channel coast – later wrote that appearing on Question Time was a daunting experience as “Dover is not a particularly multicultural area” and she was therefore “conscious that many in the audience might hold anti-migrant views”.

The BBC said Imix was one of a number of organisations approached before filming, as producers sought to “find audience members that could give different perspectives on the debate about immigration in the UK”.

The corporation said the migrants had been challenged on the show, and Question Time always aimed to encourage debate that reflected a wide range of views.

Concern about the use of Question Time to steer public opinion comes after an investigation by The Telegraph revealed that charities were hijacking mass media to encourage support for immigration.

Specialists in “narrative change” have pushed for changes to BBC children’s TV, and ITV’s Coronation Street, to alter wording to manipulate British public opinion.

The Telegraph revealed that one pro-migration group lobbied the producers of a CBBC programme for seven-year-olds to “impact the framing of migration” on children’s TV.

Charities, including Imix, have boasted of “placing” sympathetic migrant stories in national news output. Millions of pounds have been pumped into these efforts to push positive migration narratives through British media, with large sums paid by Left-wing foundations.

A spokesman for Imix said: “For the BBC’s Question Time immigration special, the programme approached local charities working in the sector, including Imix, to help include people with lived experience of seeking asylum in the audience.

“Helping journalists and productions connect with people who have relevant experience is a normal part of what a charity press office does. Journalists from across the political spectrum, including Telegraph journalists, have made similar requests to us, and we help where we can.

“We helped identify two people who wished to take part, and supported them beforehand so they felt informed and prepared. Both have legal refugee status and are settled in the UK with families and jobs, and both chose to take part of their own accord. The decisions about the programme and its audience were the BBC’s.”

On Monday, 710 migrants crossed the Channel in small boats, the highest number in a day since the start of the year, taking the total to 9,852. ENDS

The US Committee on Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs reports that Covid-19 was a man-made patented chimaera bioweapon made by Ralph Baric at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.

Ralph Baric fixed the spike protein to a Human Coronavirus in 2015. Gain of function was banned in America, so Fauci paid Peter Daszak to get Ralph Baric to give his Coronavirus (HR00118S0017) to the Bat woman in China. It leaked from the Wuhan lab in 2019. The Covid infection in 2020 is not as bad as the Vaccine in 2021 because the Vaccine is injected directly into the bloodstream.

Ralph Baric’s Coronavirus was a failed Bio-weapon. It only killed 4 Amish in 2020. The Covid psyops was designed to instil FEAR of Covid to get people vaccinated with SARS-CoV-2 spike proteins, causing blood clots by interacting with CD147 receptors and triggering hemolysis (red blood cell destruction). It killed no Amish in 2021, because the Amish did not get vaccinated.

There hasn’t been a mass die off of vaccine recipients as some forecast, but it makes you wonder about cancers and heart issues caused by it.
And suspicious how it’s never even entertained as a factor in any health issues.
Take Jeremey Clarkson with his recent cancer announcement.

Using one of their ai search bots :

      covid vaccine status?
‘He publicly confirmed his vaccination status on social media on March 15, 2021, joking about blood clot concerns at the time by stating, “I had the Astra Zeneca vaccine yesterday and my blood is still a liquid. So it’s fine.” He later admitted in a column that the jab had “knocked him for six,” causing him to feel under the weather and “weeping” for a few days, though he dismissed fears of serious side effects like blood clots.

There have been no reports of him contracting COVID-19 since his vaccination, and his recent health announcements in June 2026 concern a diagnosis of prostate cancer and previous heart issues, unrelated to the virus or vaccine.’

    Can’t say fairer than this…

    The Telegraph also notes…

‘Exclusive: BBC children’s show ‘influenced by pro-migrant campaigners’’

    and…

‘Exclusive: Channel migrants placed on Question Time by campaigners’

Not as if we didn’t know that BBC programming was literally ‘programming’…our minds….climate, trans, gays, Brexit, immigration, race and Islam….the BBC is there to correct your views.

The government is also involved of course…most notably during covid but also when there is any terror event involving the likeliest suspects….then there is a massive attempt to shut down, silence and discredit any narrative about migrants or Islamification in coordination with the on-board MSM

The latest example is the Russian warship that fired shots in the Channel….you may have noted the very obvious messaging on the various news outlets that there was nothing to see here….it was just pretty normal…just shots to alert the yacht that a warship was nearby…and apparently all in heavy fog so all the more justification.

Hmmm…it was a distinct about turn from shock that this could happen to ‘nothing to see here’…and then we get the view from the yacht….from the Telegraph…

‘Pensioners subjected to warning shots from Russian warship accuse MoD of ‘shutting story down’’
‘A retired British couple subjected to Russian warning shots in the Channel have accused the Ministry of Defence of “trying to shut the story down”.

Jane and Alan Kelvey, 69 and 71, said the authorities wanted to downplay the incident for fear it was inflammatory.’

Yep….Operation Save Starmer’s Skin….no story here..not much happened…thus Starmer doesn’t have to do anything such as confronting the Russians and having to take some decisive action. Apparently hundreds of Russian shadow tankers have sailed freely through the Channel despite being sanctioned with not a peep out of Starmer until…lol…last week when action man decided he needed some good PR and so boarded one of these tankers…just a shame that the week before he announced that he would be, er, buying Russian oil…just through some shadowy secondary providers rather than direct from Putin. The BBC of course spent plenty of time pillorying right-leaning Hungary for buying Russian oil but was silent on the EU continuing to buy its gas and oil from Russia.

You cannot trust the BBC, and indeed the government, one inch. They lie and lie and lie to us.

Is it just coincidence that the BBC is broadcasting ramblings from a book about 1976 and is so very selective about what it reads out…climate of course, racism, the wonders of the West Indian cricket team and …Sikhs getting stabbed by ‘racist’ whites….just coincidence they choose this just days after the case of a white boy being stabbed by a Sikh in a likely racist attack?
Interesting take on the racist attack in 1976…group of whites walking through town…Sikhs see them and start chasing them down the road…catch one white boy and give him a beating. The rest of the whites turn back and jump in to the fight…but some have knives and stab the Sikhs. This is apparently, definitely, a racist attack by the whites…never mind they didn’t start the fight and there’s absolutely no evidence they were racist.
You can see how the narrative is twisted and turned to favour the one preferred by some like the BBC….much like Stephen Lawrence and ‘institutional racism’, and indeed the case of George Floyd.

This series of programmes is just more brainwashing and propaganda by the BBC peddling its worldview as the only ‘correct’ one.

Just watched the Moggster’s podcast re his forthcoming debate at the Oxford Union when he and some prominent Muslim will be on the opposite side to Tommy Robinson and Lawrence Fox about the dangers posed to our country by Islam.
Moggy’s major concern in the podcast was to explain why he felt that it was his duty to participate in such a debate and by doing so give the odious Robinson and his poisonous views a platform ! He said that many good people were appalled that he had agreed to do this and he wanted to explain that he had done so in defence of free speech. He believed that once Robinson’s views were thoroughly exposed they would be found to repel almost everyone.

Poor old Moggy , until this last few months I thought that he might be useful, now I realise that he just doesn’t understand the urgency nor the gravity of the situation that our country is in. I suppose that his life has not exposed him to the full impact of what thirty years of mass migration has done to our country .He is well insulated from the harsh realities of life in modern Britain.
He still thinks that he is living in the Britain of the late 20th century where we are not watching our country being steadily taken from us, where tens of thousands of white girls aren’t raped and tortured, where children don’t get blown up and stabbed , where the police do their job with our consent etc etc etc.
Sadly he is a dinosaur who hasn’t a clue what is going on and is still playing the game by the rules that the other side abandoned decades ago.
I wish that we still lived in the world that he thinks we do. It was a much nicer place than modern Britain is . But if we indulge in his make believe world our country will certainly be taken from us.

The farcical BBC anachronism that is last minute political purdah kicks in this morning with the announcement: Political coverage and commentary takes up most of the front pages. The BBC, along with other broadcasters, is not allowed to report details of campaigning while the polls are open. (BBC)

That makes about as much sense as a teenager, with their sixteenth birthday that happens to fall one day before a general election, never being allowed to engage with current affairs on social media until twenty-four hours prior to… well, you can see the glaring contradictions for yourself.

Despite that heartfelt lefty axiom that it’s words that can be hurty, our BBC blanks the images of the newspaper front pages, yet hints heavily at the political headlines it approves…

I’m reminded of those classic words of Jim Bowen, presenter and host of the 1980s vintage darts-themed TV game show Bullseye: “Let’s see what you would’ve won”

The Daily Mirror declares “Trump deal is a sellout”, and says that in his peace agreement with Iran the US president has “conceded everything, achieved nothing and given away leverage”. (BBC)

No prizes for guessing what newspaper would have topped the BBC news site online print press line-up were it not for the purdah.

Readers hereabouts will have been aware the memo has gone out to the effect whatever the US Iran deal – it’s a Trump failure. By the way, it has always been an opinion of Mr AsI that US politics provides a convenient cypher for our BBC where direct British political commentary is supposed to be outlawed for reasons of balance.

The Guardian says the memorandum of understanding makes “significant political and financial concessions to Iran”.

According to the Financial Times, critics are asking whether the agreement is worth four months of war, billions of dollars in cost, the depletion of US weapons stocks and friction with allies.

The Times says there is likely to be anger among some US Republicans, – saying that Donald Trump is facing a “reckoning”. (BBC)

The BBC’s historic staff mag Ariel may have disappeared into the ether becoming an online-only apparition (like the Independent newspaper): BBC to stop printing Ariel magazine after 75 years. In-house title… providing an outlet for staff to air their grievances – often on the letters page… to go online-only as corporation’s communications department loses 42 jobs in cost-cutting (Guardian, This article is more than 14 years old)

Yet physical left-leaning outlets such as the i paper remain as a platform for staff moaning and bitching: Anonymous BBC staff tell the i Paper of their frustration with the corporation’s latest cuts, as part of its plans to save £500m. One employee says they are “devastated”, and questions how high-quality journalism can be produced when “funding is being gutted”. (BBC)

Not that our BBC doesn’t grant itself a right of reply: A BBC source is quoted as saying that the “tough decisions” mean that budgets are protected for the output with the biggest audiences. (BBC)

No such balance was available for all that Donald Trump bashing.

And to further make a mockery of this purdah business our BBC provides links to the offending newspapers online just a single click away.

When you hear the phrase “And finally” you can pretty much disregard the significance of the following report – likewise this morning our BBC off-handedly deploys the word “Elsewhere”

Elsewhere, the Daily Telegraph says just 100 criminals were responsible for more than 4000 shop thefts in London in the past two years., external The figures come from a letter sent to the home secretary by the Metropolitan Police and the British Retail Consortium – which are calling for quicker sentencing and tougher penalties. There is no response yet from the Home Office. (BBC)

And then there’s the football: Many of the front pages are covered with photos of a jubilant England squad celebrating their win against Croatia. (BBC)

In further conflation of sport with politics our BBC redacts the tabloid football coverage.

Sky News leans left but can still tell the difference: The front pages are dominated by coverage of the Makerfield by-election, which we are unable to bring you due to broadcasting rules. As such, there are fewer papers featured here than usual, but you can scroll down to see how some of them have covered England’s winning start to their World Cup campaign. (Sky News)

Texas Kane score massacre (Sun) – winning the headline of the day award – when no opposition showed up.

    Absolutely appalling BBC bias.

On Toady, an interview with useless Anna Foster and the Children’s Commissioner about the awful abuse and murder of a baby, 13 month old Preston Davey. The murderer is to be sentenced today, along with his accomplice.
Anna Foster in terms says whether there were special factors at play, such as, wait for it, that the murderer was a teacher.
The usual ‘no stone will be left unturned’ guff followed.

But in the whole interview there was not a single mention of the fact that the baby’s adoptive parents were a male homosexual couple. Do you, dear reader, think that might be worthy of a mention? The BBC do not. Are they protecting their own? Have they, with their pro-gay, inclusion-obsessed, diverse world view gone totally mad? Have they no shame at all? By the way, it’s Pride month. Not day. Not week. Month.

I might add that reference was made to a report which was 3 years in the making. The usual state ‘long grass’ ploy. Or that the state took the baby boy away from its birth mother in the first place, presumably assumed responsibility for him and then decided to give him to the aforementioned gay couple. The state. Repeat. The state.

And the left want to nationalise and renationalise things. I wouldn’t trust them with a whelk stall.

Teacher who murdered adopted son Preston Davey to be sentenced alongside partner
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c4gyrewq8xkt

This is one of the most apalling and disturbing stories I can remember in recent years. Basically a gay couple adopted a 13 month old baby and it was raped and beaten to death. One did it, the other must have known what was going on.

So I looked at this BBC article for one reason : to see if they addressed the only two questions about this which matter:

    1. Should gay couples be allowed to adopt babies.

    2. What was the catastrophic decision by someone to allow these two to adopt influenced by government DEI policy.

Neither are mentioned. 100% as expected the live feed starts with a few high-level facts about the case then degenerates into full-on empathy-porn to make you think about ‘what’ instead of ‘why’ or ‘who’.

But this is the Leftists at the BBC. I now know though many examples that they think it’s OK for this to happen to a few babies along the way as long as the bigger picture of making everyone think gay couples are exactly the same as normal couples is not damaged.

These group-think idiots will all agree how terrible this is but not a single one will question whether THEY share collective responsibility for why it happened at all. That’s what group-think does. It’s always someone elses fault.
