We’re constantly told that the BBC is the most loved, most respected and most trusted broadcaster…we’re told that by the BBC.
However….they obviously don’t really believe their own guff as when it comes to funding them with a subscription service, putting that love to the test, the BBC doesn’t want to know. Surely a subscription fee, covering everything and no more than the current licence fee would work…but the BBC thinks no-one will buy it because it would ‘damage’ the media economy for others…well no…we pay for the BBC now and if that were to continue but as a subscription what’s the difference…where’s the ‘damage’? No more than now if any….an outright lie really…

Poor old Pierre is not having a good week:
On monday during a row with the missus the car detects a heightened emotional state and stops the car and logs the incidence with in-car audio and video on the police database.
Tuesday is no better as the car refuses to be driven into Paris because it is a Zero Emission Zone due to the nutty mayor of Paris.
Wednesday is bad luck as he tries to pick his daughter up at the train station and reads the parking notice at a station car park. His inattention while driving is reported on the police database.
Thursday the dog has to urgently be taken to the vets and he gets automatically ticketed and fined for having the dog on the back seat.
Friday poor Pierre has to attend a compulsory anger management class at a far-away town because of the monday row with the missus. Unfortunately he has exceeded his weekly permitted carbon emission mileage and the car won’t move.

One of Donald Trump’s henchmen has accused Sir Keir Starmer of putting lives ‘at risk’ after he intervened to stop England’s kick-off time against Mexico being changed.
England’s last-16 clash was almost moved forward by six hours by FIFA over the threat of thunderstorms.
