Takes me a few days to think about things but this week the government announced new requirements for school lunches. Children must have lentils twice a week. Meat is severely limited, as is cheese. There are also limits on sugar, puddings etc. This is pushing the vegan agenda as far as I see it. The only way to fulfil the requirements will require pseudo meat, the highly processed meat alternatives although perhaps insect flour will be permissible (it had all gone quiet on that one). As I understand it, sales of vegan products have sunk but perhaps they are hoping this will revitalise sales as little Johnny demands lentils at home rather than chips. At the moment the reasons for this horrendous dietary requirements in school are given as children’s health but I can see net zero reasons creeping in.

Twenty women underwent mastectomies unnecessarily while being treated for breast cancer, an NHS trust in north-east England has told the BBC.
They were among hundreds of patients who came to harm during treatment at the breast unit of the County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust (CDDFT).
But here’s my favourite, barely believable bit…..
The consultant overseeing Jo and Denise’s care was Mr Amir Bhatti, who was CDDFT’s clinical lead for breast services from 2013-24. He has now been suspended from carrying out clinical practice but is still employed by the trust on full pay.
Last year, we reported that nearly £6m had been paid by the trust over six years to breast cancer diagnostic clinics and surgery companies run privately by Bhatti.

What I don’t understand is why the surgeon had to invent cases. At least 1 in 9 women develop breast cancer but with a high rate of curing it. I can’t think the inventions would therefore make much difference to the cure rate.
I have on the most excellent authority knowledge of a case where surgeons swore blind they could only do 4 operations a day.
But on a Saturday they managed to do 7.
Turns out Monday to Friday was their contracted work forming their salary,
But on a Saturday they were paid per operation.

Well…what could be more simple than, erm, a poll tax based upon your income and collected via the tax system already in place? No deed to assess the value of a house or if you’ve got yourself some nice gold plated taps or a new conservatory…just see how much you earn and grab a bit of that. Much fairer, you pay dependent on what you can afford and it means the widow in the big house on a low income isn’t soaked by the system which at the moment says if you have a big house you must be rich.
Everyone uses council services and thus only fair those who don’t have a house but live in the area pay up….isn’t that the basis of the tourist tax….tourists use local services and resources so must pay a bit to keep them going.
They’re coming round to the Rwanda scheme again….so yeah….dust off the poll tax scheme and let Thatcher save the country again.

Community Charge (Poll Tax) failed due to organised left wing opposition and the fact that it was Thatcher’s idea. It would have been more difficult and costly to collect as the number of chargeable accounts would have been considerably higher. Personal financial circumstances would make it all the more complex. It was however much fairer.
What really needs reform is Council’s spending, the Unions rule local authorities and drive up spending and inefficiency, gold plated pensions and working conditions.
Mansion taxes, increased council tax banding, second and holiday home, and empty home multipliers are in my opinion grossly unfair. It’s all the politics of envy. The interference in the property market will bite Labour back in the end.

Aberdeen council have faced a raft of legal challenges from residents + businesses over their municipal antics over the last few years. They’ve messed with traffic light delays to strangle traffic into and out of town – it’s infuriating for visitors and what you get for voting SNP-Liberal.
They could’ve got 300+ motorhomes for the same spend.

American footwear brand Converse has pulled an advert that social media users said evoked Ku Klux Klan imagery, saying it recognised “that we got this wrong”. – Oh the humanity! Did they accidentality portray imaginary of a Grand Wizard planting a flaming cross on an Alabama front lawn?
The photo, posted to the company’s Instagram account, received backlash online after critics described lighting in the image as looking like a white pointed hood. – It doesn’t, by the way. It looks exactly like a model or manikin in a shop window wearing the famous sneakers with grey socks, beneath a long white skirt.
A pair of shoes, dangling in the picture, were also likened to an image of a lynching victim by social media users. – Do grow up. The model is holding a spare pair of Converses – and not even by the laces but by the top of the high ankle part of the shoes.
How about the star shaped spotlight on the model’s feet – a sinister reference to Michael Jackson’s two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?
There are three additional pairs of Converses in the image… perhaps the white frock is referencing a death shroud – and the four unworn pairs of shoes when considered together are an ominous hint that mid-century Motown act The Four Tops are now all deceased?
The campaign features the South Korean singer Karina, of the K-pop group Aespa, who is pictured in a series of advertisements for the shoes. – Korean… K-pop… Karina… K-K-K..! Geddit?
One recalls back in the day going for a drink with a mate who proceeded to the task of dismantling a packet of Marlboro cigarettes in an effort to show how there was a disguised tribute to the Ku Klux Klan hidden somehow in the packaging. No wonder smoking was banned in pubs.

On reading the current news letter from Migration Watch, it occurred to me that the very foolish act of promoting/allowing muslims into positions of political power is accelerating the muslim takeover of the UK. Why? Well, in the exchanges between Alp Mehmet and a muslim MP in a Committee meeting in which the former was basically promoting the free flow of any and all comers to the UK without restriction it occurred to me the motive for such support has a practical implication in furtherance of muslim domination. Clearly welcoming all in sundry is posing legal problems rape, murder etc. so the quicker isalm takes over, the quicker they can impose sharia law. Belief being that any imports breaking the law will be dealt wiith very harshly under Sharia whereas the British police/courts are sty med with ‘Uman rights and so on. Just a thought as to the obvious haste to promote islam.
If memory serves, there may also have been a printer’s alignment guide symbol, that could be revealed on a dismantled Marlboro ciggie packet – a sort of target circle with an over-laid cross. Well dodgy in the minds of lefties! Or was that on Kellogg’s cornflakes packets?
