The BBC are very wasteful. I have been waiting for a visit from TV Licensing since before Christmas 2025! The BBC along with the rest of the MSM do not like Nigel Farage or Reform the party that Nigel leads. The BBC are disrespectful to President Trump. The BBC refer to him as Donald or Trump. The BBC have TDS by the bucketload! Defund the BBC. Cancel your TellyTax right now! The BBC have reneged on the iPlayer arrangement. Defund the BBC!

I couldn’t believe it. A friend went to hear a talk by the BBC’s Jeremy Bowen. I told her about Jeremy lying in a hedge bottom whilst some women walked by. ‘Oh yes’, she said, ‘he showed that clip at the beginning of his talk’. He had assured the audience and showed the film in full apparently which showed that only moments before his piece to camera there really had been an attack and it had all been mischaracterised. Apparently the filming was 2022 (I had thought it was much longer ago). Whilst us mere mortals didn’t envisage AI and its capabilities in 2022, I bet the BBC did and would have had access. Maybe Mr Bowen really was under attack, or maybe it was AI. That is what lost trust does. I never believe anything I see/hear on the BBC.

Unfortunately my friend believes everything she sees on the BBC.

I am inclined to see our meme about Bowen to be a metaphor rather than truth truth truth.
On his side nothing on TV news is pure truth cos it’s storytelling; it’s edited
On our side we weren’t there we don’t have and uncut video so we don’t have full context and truth

On his side fact checkers say it’s a false meme that comes from selecting a still photom
That not true cos the video contains a segment of her walking and there is no firing at the time

The BBC is an edited composite so it does show him walking under fire, but it’s not one continuous shot until he’s lying in the trench
So it is possible that when we see the woman walking by bemused, that he had been under fire and firing had stopped but that the cameraman had said we can’t be certain of no new firing so stay in the ditch and do your piece
BBC news video package from March 2022
Dunno why the BBC have ages restricted it
so we can’t embed it https://youtu.be/dT1_DeXUyU4?t=124
It is possible that when she is walking past bemused.
There had been an attack a bit earlier and his producer had said ‘sincevthere is risk of further attack, don’t get up to do your piece , just stay there lying down.

      • StewGreen says:

Fact checkers claim the woman was crouching down a few seconds earlier
        That’s false
#1 part of the video does show a woman crouching but she wears a blue coat and grey hathe walking woman wears a pink jumper and white hat
The video is not a continuous show
It’s a composite edit so we don’t know how many minutes between some people crouching and when pink jumper is walking normally

Five arrested as counter-terror police investigate major incident near RAF Fairford
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqrm99mm9l84o

Here we have an excellent example of the BBC doing their best to downplay an incident which should have us all extremely alarmed.

The reason of course is clear. This is what the Right have been warning about for years. How the Left have been welcoming in Muslim terrorists along with thousands of others who hate us just as much hence the tens of thousands of them on the ‘watch lists’.

They deliberately play it all down with statements like:

‘by failing to report that RAF Fairford was placed on FPCON Delta (the highest possible alert level, as reported by other outlets like Sky News), the broadcaster presents a less alarming picture to the public.’

The focus on “Contained” Framing: The event is characterised as “contained” and “not intelligence-led”. This shifts focus away from systemic border or intelligence failures, framing a major suspected terrorist plot as a localized, resolved incident.

‘The BBC does not elaborate on state-sponsored threats or cross-border security failures, choosing instead to focus primarily on the local disruption and the timeline of the arrests.’

The BBC totally avoid all the real questions which should be asked. Like where did they get so much explosive from without anyone in our vast (but never mentioned) anti-terrorism force ?. And how many more of these people are lurking among us ?. What will they do next ?.

It never ceases to amaze me how the BBC (and Left in general) will do anything to protect their own political agenda. They don’t care one bit about the consequences.

And just look at this wording:
‘The site shares a long history with the American military, and has recently been used by US warplanes as a staging post for defensive strikes on Iran’

What a bizarre way to describe it. You can be 100% sure they have been directed to phrase it like that by Burnham’s team. It’s pathetic. They wouldn’t have been so accommodating for Boris.

But no need to worry. Our strong and decisive PM will step in and sort it out.
He responded to this major event by saying it was “deeply concerning”.
Which doesn’t say anything at all.

Watch: BBC reports from the front-line of an escalating war in Yemen
    https://www.bbc.com/news/videos/crp3kgjygnkeo

So here we have a BBC clone just managing to get the introduction sentence complete then they have to flee with great drama because of a drone.

But there is no evidence at all of a drone. And watch when she learns of it : she doesn’t say ‘a drone’, she says ‘the drone’. As if it is one they have already talked about. And no urgency or panic in anything she says. She says ‘we could hear a Houti drone buzzing about and the shooting beginning’. But we never get any evidence of this drone or this shooting.

From the overall presentation of this video, I call it a complete lie. It’s a bizarre video from start to finish. I bet they weren’t even near the front line. Anyway – what would be the point of going to an isolated, deserted spot right at the front just to say ‘Here we are at the front line’. Just watch the ‘interview’ with someone they say is the last resident of a village. It’s like some third-rate B movie ‘mystery scene’.

We all know by now that the BBC are as dirty as any of the other MSM scumbags. They just have to be extra devious to hide it because they suck on the taxpayers teat.

BBC faces backlash over story claiming viral bare fingernails trend is ‘racist and classist’

The BBC has been accused of publishing ‘divisive tosh’ following an article about how a viral manicure trend is ‘classist’ and rooted in ‘white supremacy’.

In the article, a nail salon owner is interviewed about how her customers are increasingly asking for ‘bare-looking’ fake nails.

Paloma Buddemeier, who runs Wumman Spa in London, told the corporation the demand comes off the back of a chic ‘viral trend’ on social media, which is symbolic of ‘quiet luxury’.

But, according to the BBC article, nail art is ‘linked back to black, Latino, and Asian communities’ and the ‘high status’ connotation of the new ‘bare’ look could ‘stigmatise bold manicures’.

Beauty journalist Kristina Rodulfo claimed the ‘minimalist’ craze is instead a sign of classism and racism.

She told the Beeb: ‘That trend really promotes blankness and this kind of sameness and erasure of culture and identity that is so important to black and brown communities.

They are often called elegant or tasteful, and these are often usually euphemisms that perpetuate white supremacist standards of beauty.’

She added: ‘The examples are almost always white women or celebrities… (and) they’ll often conflate class and taste with that bareness.’

However, the comments have been met with fury as the BBC faces accusations of trying to ‘promote their woke Left wing agenda’ with ‘utterly insane’ content.

Ex-Olympic swimmer Baroness [Sharron] Davies said: ‘This piece of divisive tosh is sadly very reflective of today’s BBC.’

Choreographer Rosie Kay wrote: ‘This is beyond utterly insane. Ffs just stop. Stop right now. You’re a disgrace.’

Opera historian Alexandra Wilson said: ‘The politicisation of absolutely everything is becoming deeply tedious. We used to be a sane country.

‘Women could wear nail varnish or not, according to their preference, and nothing further needed to be said, certainly not by the BBC.’

She added: ‘This is the most absurd story ever and it demeans the BBC to be reporting as “news” that going without nail varnish is (apparently) classist and racist.’

Meanwhile X user Luke Jackson said: ‘Typical BBC, publishing outright lies to promote their woke Left wing agenda.’

The Daily Mail has approached the corporation for comment.

    Today

You can hear the excitement in comrade Robinson’ voice as he gushes propaganda from the Marxist spiritual home of the socialist republic of Liverpool ….

… and the BBC comrades using the Islamic attack on an RAF base to rubbish president trump – as usual . They published an anonymous statement by a lady ‘farmer ‘ giving a frankly dumb account of seeing three vans – putting a 999 call in – and suddenly there is armed plod everywhere …. You might want to put 2 and 2 together on the likely surveillance job ….

Any way – they rolled out – literally – that frank gardner – of wheelchair fame he just blahed and blahed with about as much knowledge on the facts as you have dear reader – but he didn’t mention ‘Muslim terrorists ‘ so it’s an uptick for Frank who is safe in his job being disabled ….

Pope joins battle against rise of Europe’s far right (FT)

    Amen Corner

This unforeseen FT epiphany makes our fun daily word search for the derogatory term ‘far right’ among the copious columns on the pink paper’s front cover somewhat of a cinch this morning. It’s right there in the headline to what has become what one tends to term ‘lefty corner’.

Meanwhile, bottom right-hand corner is the prime ad spot bought by the likes of: The boss of gem stone company De Beers… said natural diamonds have benefited from a backlash against their lab-grown rivals (FT)

    So much for Fiat currency

There’s somewhat of a theme discernable in the FT’s Briefing column this morning: China gains mining rights… Nicaragua has handed Chinese companies… concessions more than a tenth of its land… expanding Beijing’s foothold in the gold-rich country (FT)

    But we digress…

Bottom left-hand corner of the page is ‘lefty corner’ where the Brussels Trumpet or Mid-Belgian Courier (my nicknames for the achingly pro-EU paper) is most frank in its religiously-held political leanings: Pope Leo XIV will visit the hometown of Robert Schuman – a founding father of the EU on the path to sainthood… (FT – kids us not!)

Saint Burnham…? Burnham must prepare to rejoin EU now, says Sadiq Khan (Telegraph)

    Papal Fiat

…to support European integration and the fight against a resurgent far right (FT)

Financial Times loves itself a foreign election and reports on all the anticipatory build-up to the coming match – and the eventual scores – with the enthusiasm and partisanship of a football fan club magazine.

[The Pope’s] …speech in Metz today ends a tour of France, months before a presidential election in which Marine Le Pen, the Eurosceptic leader, is topping opinion polls. Leo… – we’re apparently on first name terms with the Pontiff now.

Leo recently excommunicated members of a Catholic society with far-right ties – the FT gifting us first a twofor now a three-for in our ‘far right’ and ‘far-right’ word search game this morning – two’s company and three’s a crowd – and hyphenated, no less.

As regular readers will be aware your Mr AsI is a cynical old cove. He doesn’t take for granted even a tenth of the tosh we are fed in the mainstream news. After all, he still thinks Winslow Boy was guilty. Try this one against your own logical ‘smell test’…

A suspected terror plot to bomb an RAF base used to launch attacks on Iran was foiled by a village WhatsApp group, it emerged last night (giveaway Metro); Five arrested after farmer calls police (Times); …arrested by armed officers after a tip-off from a member of the public (Express); …farmer spots three vans near airfield… A heroic woman’s late night 999 call is thought to have foiled a suspected terror plot (Mirror)

Since when did the cops turn up gang-busters in response to a call from some old biddy nimby… probably moaning about travellers?

Occam’s razor says these guys were already on the radar. Probably infiltrated. The Israelis tend to have the best intelligence operations in respect of Iran. My money is on a tip-off from ‘Farmer Hymie’

Mind you, it will be fascinating to find out – if we ever will – how these men entered the Yookay?

Apparently we know they have Iran links – either they’re already singing like canaries, or – see above.

“Streeting: Public “Shouldn’t Be Scared” of Tax Rises for Burnham’s Social Care
Streeting was asked on Sky News about tax rises and potentially abolishing the Triple Lock to pay for Burnham’s National Care Service plans. He said of opposition attacks on tax rise proposals:

“We’ve got to stop scaring the public around ways in which we could fund social care … to be fair to Andy Burnham, what he said is we’ve got this difficult issue in social care. No one’s wanted to touch it. He’s running towards it. He’s grasping it. And he will have a national conversation with the country about how we pay for it following the Casey Commission. I think that’s the right grown-up responsible way to do it.

Problem solving, not point scoring as Andy regularly says. And I think that is a sort of approach, that’s the sort of political leadership people are crying out for. And there’s an opportunity not just for the Labour government, but for other political parties to work with us in that endeavour and show that politics can be a force for good again.”

As a Northern Irishman (British) I find the mindset of the Irish very easy to understand.

Most of the Irish Nationalist/ Republicans use Catholicism the way Milliband uses his Judaism, their old religion has been replaced by a new one – perceived oppression, victimhood, virtue signalling, cultural Marxism, the GAA.
Sinn Fein, failing miserably in any post they hold and haemorrhageing support in the South are grasping at sectarianism once more for relevance, aided and abetted by a compliant and cowardly media class and ill-informed plastic Paddies in Parliament. (The malevolent Irish Nationlist influence in British politics really does need to be acknowledged). The Orange Order could be accused of being clumsy in this current episode but it’s 35 middle-aged men parading to and from a church service with no band at a time when most would be in their beds. This is not a siege of the poor and put-apon by a marauding mass of blood-thirsty Prods. Surely, in a shared society, a little tolerance could have been shown, a thirty-year stand-off sorted in thirty minutes.
No. Not in the ‘new Northern Ireland’ when it seems there is a very dangerous political bandwagon to be jumped on by the usual suspects.
Unable to deal with current problems – immigration, crime, increasing civil unrest – they fall back on the old to regain significance and ignore their real responsibilities once more.

I’m in my 50s, born a few days after Bloody Sunday. I was born and brought up in Ballymena, the Unionist heartland, the ‘buckle of the bible-belt’.
During my lifetime no Catholic in my hometown had any less access to housing, to education, to healthcare, to employment, to leisure facilities, than me because of their religion. We drank together in many of the same pubs, played in the same football teams, sometimes went to the same schools, lived in the same streets. The supposed ‘apartheid’ did not exist, poor Protestants suffered the same hardships as poor Catholics.

No amount of truth or fact can change their mindset however, no cause or chance to signal their virtues can go unmissed, indoctrinated as they are in romanticised tales of daring-do by their warrior-poets, content that they are unaffected by the consequences of their misguided actions. Used again and again by untrustworthy and malevolent Marxists.

False oppression is the Irish Nationalist ‘truth’, victimhood their badge of honour.

The one person I don’t believe made it up is Trump himself.

It seems very likely that there are multiple (notionally independent) teams working at both eroding support for any action against the mullahs and IRG attacking both The Great Satan Yanquis and the traditional foe of the British.

What remains to be seen is what *quality* of explosives the Fairford crew had to hand – a sure tell on the seriousness of the threat – if mil grade that would be a massive embarrassment to the authorities…. beyond the alarm apparently being raised by a local….

    ABSTRACT

The war in Yemen, which began in late 2014, has received relatively little attention from genocide scholars, despite the hundreds of thousands of victims it has claimed. In this article, we examine the war through the lens of Critical Genocide Studies (CGS), as a case study of how and why a mass atrocity that leads to the destruction of a substantial part of a distinct group becomes “forgotten” or “hidden.” At the same time, we problematize previous attempts to come to terms with Yemen by critical genocide scholars. Our aim is to sharpen the challenges and conundrums that emerge when attempting to include in the study of genocide cases that are outside the “hegemonic” concept of genocide and the common “genocidal imagination.”

    Muslim genocide, Syria

“In March 2011, Syrians staged large demonstrations demanding a democratic government. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime reacted with mass arrests and lethal violence. The crisis soon escalated into an armed conflict involving local, regional, and international actors. For nearly 14 years, the Syrian regime committed crimes against humanity and war crimes, killing hundreds of thousands, displacing millions, and detaining an estimated 100,000 people. Courageous Syrians risked their lives to bring evidence of these crimes to the world. In December 2024, an offensive by a coalition of rebel fighters led by the insurgent group Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) overwhelmed the Syrian military and drove Assad to flee the country. On January 29, 2025, former leaders of rebel factions appointed Ahmad al-Sharaa, the leader of HTS, as interim president of Syria. A spokesperson for the interim government announced that Syria’s 2012 constitution was annulled, the nation’s legislature, army, and security agencies will be dissolved, and rebel groups will be disbanded. The fall of the Assad regime is a monumental moment for Syrian civilians who suffered under its brutality. While much about Syria’s future remains unknown, Syrians are now engaged in the process of rebuilding their country, documenting evidence of the regime’s brutality, and pursuing justice for perpetrators of mass atrocities against the Syrian people. “

However, Trump told Burnham that the biggest treats to British security are (1) The terrifying self-inflicted threat to energy security caused by Net Zero, (2) Chinese Communism, (3) Socialist state-sponsored non-Russian mass illegal migration, (4) Islamification and demographic change, from British Christian, to anti-Semitic Marxist Pro-EU Muslim Communities, and (5) Satanic Islamo-Socialist Rape culture.

However, its OK to kill Russians, if the Russians are Socialists, Satanists, Communists, Marxists or Muslims. But NOT if the Russian is a Christian.

5 british nationals….the key thing is…their age….and whether the explosives were viable.
Also….we can see they were mixed ethnicities so we can rule out the obvious….quite probably a ‘gig economy’ hiring from some terrorists’r’us agency…nothing to worry about…not migrants, all Londoners.

Funny how keen the BBC is to guess their identity when there’s some doubt(not helped by police not releasing fuller details) but when it’s quite clear they’re Muslim the BBC is a bit more reluctant.

A statement issued by the Egyptian military said the migrants were with people smugglers who opened fire on the border guards when they attempted to arrest the group.

Earlier this month the bodies of 15 African migrants were found on the border in the same area, near Rafah.

They appeared to have been shot dead.
